So man, march has been quite a tiring month for me. Finishing my college applications, taking the drivers test like five hundred times (actually only three!), and classes are getting more difficult to keep up with.

Anyways, I FINALLY got my license. On the day my permit was going to expire. Man I nailed that test, it is the best feeling ever to finally be licensed. Now i can visit my friends at their respective colleges!

Oi, but with me stressing out over the all that stuff, and last week, going to Kentucky to visit my grandma, I haven't had much time to draw. But here is a little something that I drew a few weeks ago and never posted :]

eh, looks kinda androgynous, but oh well.

Anyways, I have to get up early to go to the pretzel factory tomorrow lol.

Sorry i haven't posted in a while, I've been really stressed out and have tons of stuff to do.
The priority deadline for the college I want to attend is tomorrow, and I don't know if my portfolio will be given as much consideration for artistic scholarships because my transcripts may not get there on time. Also I have another driving test on Wednesday, and I really hope I pass this time, because my permit expires the 21st, and I'd have to get another one (which means taking the test again).
Also I'm loads behind on my classes because I've been doing so much procrastinating. I really hope i get everything worked out by the end of the week.
Anyways, that's why I haven't been posting, no time for drawing :(

I actually drew this a few days ago.

I don't really have anything new from yesterday, so I'm posting this lol.

----------------

I watched this very interesting documentary yesterday called "fathead"

It was a reply to supersize me, but the main point they were trying to get at is that people have been told the wrong facts about how to eat well. Instead of eating 6-11 servings (300g) of carbs and grains, we really only need 100. Apparently, all these excess carbs increase insulin, and insulin increases fat storage.

Well, I already kinda knew that carbs are basically sugar, and that they aren't that great for you.

But something I didn't know is that saturated fat is not as bad for you as most people think. After the man in the documentary went on a 28 day low carb (about 100g or less carbs) fast food diet (lots of fat,. about 50% of calories), he lost 12 pounds (he also cut his suggested calorie intake, based on his height and weight, by 500 calories). Now the really interesting thing about this is that according to his calorie intake and outtake, he should have lost only 7.5 pounds. Weird, right?

After he did this diet, he went on a high saturated fat, low carb diet, and guess what happened? His good cholesterol went up and the bad cholesterol went down!

The reasoning behind the "saturated fat is good for you" argument is that back when we were cavemen, the only kind of fat we ate was animal fat, saturated fat. So its kinda like we were "built" to eat saturated fats. They also found that when humans began using agriculture, they became shorter and stouter than they were when they ate mainly meat. Also their teeth weren't as healthy (they didn't really explain that, but i figure its because of the sugar in corn and such)

So yeah just wanted to tell you guys about that interesting documentary.

If you have Netflix, its free to watch instantly. Or you can watch it on Hulu with commercials

I think i'll start eating less carbs too, and more saturated fat!

Did for a "tryout" at suta-raito oekaki boards.

I don't even think that they really care much anymore about "tryouts" lol

I remember trying out two years ago for the advanced board with this beauty

I think I didn't get in, and I remember thinking it was awesome.

hahahahhahahskjdfh

Anyways, they don't have the advanced board at suta-raito anymore

Only sketch and intermediate. Heck, the rules say that you have to try out

But I don't think anyone gives a good god damn about who posts there.

Anyways, hope you guys like it!

Redrawww

2011-03-06T08:33:00.000-08:00

I like to redraw old things, its a bad habit

one on the left is from 2007

gahh I tried to do linework for this, but i haven't really done lineart in sooo long.

I need to practice being a neater drawer.
