My basset hound, Fred, has arthritis which causes him to drag his left rear leg. By doing this he wears down two toenails which will eventually wear down to the quick causing bleeding.

These booties protect his foot. I have added another feature- a little kids sock inside the bootie which cushions his foot and also extends the life of the bootie. Another tip- your can repair the booties with duct tape.

they are workable.. the only flaw I would have to say is the velcro..it is time consuming to wrap each foot... another way for securing would be best..

These aren't the most comfortable things for dogs I'm sure but I love that they have a reflective strip on them and they velcro on so I can adjust how tight they are. In the Chicago winters, my dog has a hard time walking more than a block or two between the cold snow and the salt. I put these on her and she walked two miles like it was no problem! Bought these to help my aging dog stop skidding out on our cork floors. They work for that purpose, and stay on pretty well if you are methodical about putting them on. She has her dewclaws still attached, with makes getting them on safely a little harder. I realize they are meant to be water resistant, but I would like it if they breathed a little better for the mostly inside wear we use them for. This is a great cat collar but make sure and measure for the correct size. I would guess most cats are around size 12. I ordered this product hoping that it was more than pepto bismol for cats and praying desperately that it would work. In March 09 I got a new kitten and she was given a clean bill of health from the pound and from my vet: ie, she has no worms and no other tummy conditions that would cause diarrhea. I did not want another expensive trip to the vet when the condition continued for a month, so I tried Nutra Vet Cal Anti-Diarrhea. It is a combination of Kaolin and Pectin in some minute quanity and DOES work. I mix a little in Gabby's wet food every 3 or 4 days and that does the trick, plus does not bind her up. When I notice increased wetness in the stool, I treat again. Treatments have decreased as the kitten gets older so I suspect it was a case of "too much wet food for a young kitten". Since the product is vet approved, the kitten did not have to go back to the vet (read multiple expensive tests) and the proportions are correct and I don't have to worry about that. I've had the wrap about 2 wks for my dalmatian who is afraid of thunderstorms - severely. I'm trying everything and anything to keep him from killing himself. Although we haven't had the rumbles yet, we have had much rain and he has been able to stay calmer. He seems to actually like the wrap, as he has been sitting still every time we put it on and not trying to get it off. We have bought about 10 different types of cages...sadly they all failed. We even ended up having to break open the wall to get a rat out because she was able to break the bars off her cage and climb right out....then, we tried this cage. We were all kinds of unsure about it...the first one we purchased AT petco and paid $100 for it.....but it ended up working so fabulously...that we bought another one! We had all girl rats....however one was pregnant when we bought her and we needed the additional cage.

Not only do I recommend this product...but I recommend that you buy it through Amazon because we paid less than half of what we would have paid in the store!!!

The only thing I would change about it is to make it so that the ladders between the levels stayed in place a bit better...my rats don't seem to mind as they are spider rats and climb around on the top of the cage....but for someone who's small critter depends on those ladders to say...get to food or water....it could create a real problem.Get more detail about PETCO Rat Manor Habitat.

I got one for my tiny shih tzu who seems to be bothered by the cold. She is happy to wear this so she can play instead of tunneling under her blankets to keep warm. Very well made and looked absolutely adorable on our Border Terrier. Everyone loved it! Our pup wasn't the biggest fan of the hat but he managed to keep it on for a good 20 minutes before he ate the feather! The velcro front made it easy to get on and off. The fit was a little tight around the neck but otherwise fit well. I would suggest you double check the size since they seem to be just a tad on the smaller size.
