Grooming Tip for Dog Owners

Well, as I promised in the erlier post, this one will be related to dogs. In fact, this is a good tip for all dog owners. I have a big dog, and this works perfectly with my dog, but I'm not sure if it would make much of a difference with smaller dogs.
First of all, only wash your dog once a month. Once in two or three months is fine, but not more than once a month, as it will stip your dog's coat of it's natural oils. Secondly, when you wash big dogs (again, I don't know if it makes a difference for smaller dogs) blow-drying them would be a good idea. We had a groomer who used to do this for our dog and it looked wonderful. My dog has been doing that all his life. After a cold bath, he enjoys the warm air on his coat. Recently, we tried a new groomer who didn't blow-dry the dog's fur. He returned home all wet and cold. And worse, he looked like a hedgehog after that. Now, his fur is all messed up and won't return to normal till his next wash. So, this would be a good thing to try on big dogs with a lot of fur. The more I think of it, I don't think you should try this on a small dog.

No More Annoying Ads!

Well, I know this has nothing to do with dogs, but I just thought I'd post it anyway. Erlier, every post had 3 picture ads. Now, I've removed them to make the page look more proffesional, and just to make it simpler to navigate around. I'm sure it will improve the look of the blog drastically. There are still ads on the sidebar and one right at the bottom, but those don't bother us much, do they?

Here's some pictures of Scooby Doo to make up for not posting about dogs. I know, Scooby Doo isn't really related to what this blog is about, but he is a dog! Enjoy the pics and I promise my next post will have to do with dogs!
