It's no secret that I am a fan of all things girly, princess and fancy…. which is exactly why I was so eager to take on this order. 

A few weeks ago, I began working on this invitation for one of my all time favorite and sweetest clients, Lourdes from Tutti Bambini Maternity Concierge. 

If you are local and haven't stopped in to her store, you must do so, it carries gorgeous clothing, accessories, and all things mom and baby. She has an incredible maternity concierge service that is sure to leave the expecting mom feeling so fortunate and relieved to have found her. Seriously, the woman has me contemplating a third child just to use her services (now don't tell my husband that). wink* 

Lourdes is throwing what is sure to be the Biggest, most beautiful Beauty and the Beast inspired Royal birthday in town for her sweet baby girl's upcoming second birthday. Lilly from I heart Sugar Sugar is styling and designing the event and I am super excited to be designing all things paper… =)

In honor of this special occasion, a gorgeous, very detailed invitation was designed and is being delivered. 

Here are a few pics of what the invitation design and delivery entail…… 

When designing this invitation, I knew I wanted to incorporate the rose from the movie. I designed a beautiful leaf personalized, on one side has the birthday girl's name, Alexa and also on the other side of the leaf it says, "you are cordially invited".  We tied the leaf with a satin yellow ribbon to a gorgeous pink paper rose. DREAMY huh…..

They turned out lovely. These roses will be available for purchase in the shop. 

Even the envelopes were "fancied" up as I like to call it. =) I glued beautiful pink paper rosettes to each envelope back. Also here is the invitation front, a gorgeous bright yellow damask with Alexa's Royal Celebration and in the back are all the details for what is sure to be a Royal magical day.

Of course given that the invitation is truly fabulous and fancy, a hand delivery by a Royal prince was the only way to invite our Royal guests.  

I know gasp! I am still catching my breath from this precious detail. 

The only concern I have, is how will we ever top this next year…. I am sure we can think of something. =) *wink!

A couple months before her birthday we began to go over possible themes for her special 4th birthday party. Valentina loves our favorite mermaid, Ariel and being the days are so hot and unpredictable here in Miami, a little Mermaid party with some water fun was perfect for the special celebration. Since Valentina has two brothers, we incorporated a tiny bit of pirate into her party. I designed a brand new mermaid collection, different from the one I had previously used with Emily's 2nd birthday party (which I never blogged about =( but will someday). 

Valentina's favorite color is green, as you may or may not remember her purple and green bike party from last year (she has since dropped the purple, its now only green) =) wink* Given that fact, I decided to focus more on different shades of green for the majority of the details, however continue to incorporate the beautiful turquoise color of the sea. Didn't those colors blend so lovely together…… I designed a lovely collection using that color scheme and incorporated a little pirate into it but it can be omitted for those of you who want an all mermaid party. 

Jeannette from Sweet Dough once again outdid herself with these gorgeous mermaid cookies. She also made pirates with teal hankies on their heads for the boys. How adorable is Valentina's bathing suit, it matched the cake perfectly and the color scheme was just right. It was a last minute find from Old Navy once my sister realized her order from another vendor would not arrive on time.

The cake, so gorgeous right! We have seen a lot of these ruffles and hombre style cakes lately and I knew this was the perfect occasion to request one. Yorlaidy from My sweet lady did an incredible job with this cake. She arrived to deliver the cake right when I was putting up the finishing touches to the table and once she placed the cake on it's cake stand, I took a step back and realized, WOW! NOW the table was complete. Thank You Yorlaidy!!! 

We had some candy, Valentina is a candy lover and she made sure we incorporated that in here. Lilly from I heart Sugar Sugar provided all the linen as well as these darling plates she scooped up on a trip to Michael's.  Aren't they just perfect, they are so pretty in person, the pictures really don't do them justice.

Ahhhh, YUM! the cupcakes…… I never get to bake anymore so I offered to whip up some cupcakes for my sweet, Val and Yorlaidy made some adorable edible gold coin toppers, look at the detail how incredible!!! I topped them off with some adorable paper cupcake toppers from the new collection and voila, fabulous cupcakes are born!

Here are some more sugary treats that were on the table. I used sand to hold down the clear crystal lollipops and jewels to dress up the containers where the bubble gum tubes were displayed. Also I decorated with starfish to really dress up the table. (you have been hearing lots of rumors lately about products that will be available in my shop, this is also one of them. Stay tuned for more details…..

Below are the 4 inch centerpiece toppers which really dress up any floral arrangement and can be used in so many different ways. 

Not all the treats on the table were sugary (thank goodness) we also had our favorite kiddie snack, goldfish. 

OKAY, here is my favorite part of the party…To our Surprise we had some very special guests come by……

They arrived just in time after the little mermaids had their makeovers of hair do's and mermaid glittery masks. Here is a picture of the girls from left to right, Sabrina my daughter, Emily my sister, Vanessa's daughter and Valentina, my sister Annabelle's daughter. All three girls are now age four and my sisters and I are also very close in age (33, 35, 36) YES my mom was busy and fortunate for us, god blessed up with three girls of our own…. Lucky for me, I get to do lots of girlie parties with these lovely dolls…..

We can't forget the BOYS. Argggg those adorable pirates were greeted with patches and swords. The younger boys (Val's little brother and cousin) hung out while the older boys played in her big brother's room. BOYS will be BOYS!

Ariel truly was stunning and so sweet and charismatic. The girls had a blast with her, as you will see below. She taught them her mermaid moves and gave them so much attention. 

Then she stole the show by singing to us all her famous "Part of your world" I had goosebumps the whole time and I think every girl's mouth was open in shock. As you can Prince Eric was also very happy and mesmerized by the beautiful, Ariel. 

We then sat quietly for story time. The girls listened to Ariel and answered questions about her story as she requested. They were so sweet and took turns raising their hands and really loved every minute with her. 

I love this picture…Sabrina was truly speechless (doesn't happen much) with Ariel's presence. 

They posed for many pictures with the family, guests and birthday girl. 

We had a blast this year and hope you enjoyed all the pictures and details.

Seriously, someone pinch me as I sit and right this post because I myself can't believe the spectacular news I have to share. I am so excited to finally announce that  BIG City Mom's the Biggest Baby Shower is coming to Miami and Dollhouse Paperie By Dolce Drive will be designing a brand new collection as well as styling a gorgeous welcome table for the event and all attending guests.  

First, for those of you don't know BCM, let me introduce you to their website and their facebook page. Please take a minute to visit there site and read all about this fabulous company created 8 years ago by Founders, Risa Goldberg and Leslie Venokur. With their headquarters in NYC, Big City moms is the destination for moms, moms to be and families, from seminars, family fun days, mommy and me classes, expectant events, Big City Moms is the place to be all over the city. They have traveled to LA and are now coming to Miami, right in our very own Jungle Island (I have organized events in this venue before and its fabulous. I am so so excited to be a part of this event)

 I am really so over excited and humbled by the opportunity to get to know the fabulous team over at Big City Moms as well as meet some of the great 60 plus vendors that will also be there. Vendors such as the stylish Bellini, Tutti Bambini, Born Free, Britax, Skip Hop, Phil &Teds, The Bump, Project Nursery and one of my favorites Gymboree plus so many more. To see a full list of all the wonderful vendors participating go here. 

I spent hours looking through their facebook pictures from their precious events. Here is one of my favorites, of course the beautiful Jessica Alba and her sweet company Honest attended the event. 

How awesome is it that Pinkberry will be there with a delicious yogurt bar…..

The event will have guest speaker celebrities such as the brilliant Dr Sears and the ingenious Dr Green speaking on some very popular topics.

Everyone  will go home with a comfy and very loved, Mombo Deluxe Pillow and a over stuffed swag bag. The super pass holders will go home with a Britax infant carrier. There will be raffles, giveaways and just so much more fabulousness. 

You really won't want to miss this event. Its going to be fun, educational and such a great experience for any mom or expecting mom.

Some of my personal favorite parties are 

The Nutcracker Ballet Party as well as the  Mermaid Party. Yes, I know WOW, told you she was amazing!!!

I reached out to Kate and quickly heard back from her. At first I just sat there and stared at the inbox screen… She replied YAY! 

Kate explained to me sweetly what she was looking for and shared all the hard work other fabulous vendors were working on and what she would be needing from me for this specific project. I was in charge of designing some adorable stickers to pretty up the helmets (shellmets) for all the gorgeous little cuties out there that are diagnosed with plagiocephaly-torticollis and need to wear helmets. 

Once I read her email and the nature of the situation, and that her sweet baby Noah has been diagnosed with plagiocephaly-torticollis, I gained a complete different kind of admiration and respect for her and this project. I went from giddy party girl to whole heartedly concerned mommy. I mean seriously I am so aware of that feeling of "guilt" us parents feel for anything that happens to our children as well as the feeling of helplessness or the overwhelming feeling of doing anything to protect them. Kate and I were pregnant at the same time, my due date was pretty much parallel with hers so often I would check in on Kate and see how things were going for her.  Kate is a super mom, as I told her myself, I picture her wearing a cape (a gorgeous one for that matter) =) and holding her sweet baby Noah and assuring him that everything was going to be just great, as it really has been.

 I have kept Kate and her family in my prayers and I know from experience that there are far more worse things that can happen. Having to watch my dear friends say goodbye to a 5 month old baby girl has made me more understanding of non fatal illnesses children can face.  Remember the sweet blessings baby shower we shared a while back, that mom's journey has been one of the hardest experiences of my life to watch. However, like I said I can relate to Kate and all moms who want to always protect and love their children. All I wanted to do was give her a big hug and tell her what an amazing mom she is. 

Kate put together a beautiful party to introduce and increase awareness for plagiocephaly torticollis to her family and the world. Kate, the fabulous vendors involved and myself are hoping that you can please spread the word as much as possible in order to help educate others as well as share the adorable stickers and party printable we all worked so hard to design. 

Might I add that working with Kate has been a complete pleasure and I am now spoiled. I am open and eager to work as a paper goods designer but I can only hope any upcoming opportunities are as rewarding as this one. It really makes me feel so great to help Kate and any parents out there in a similar situation. As I shared my work with Kate, she was always so thankful and complimented my designs whole heartedly. Kate really is a special person and I am honored to have been a small part of this. Thank You Kate!

I styled this little set up right outside my front door, I think my neighbors had just as much fun watching me as I did styling and photographing it. =)

The gorgeous rosette four leaf clover was a pretty little craft I put together over the weekend. I searched in a few stores for some cute St Patricks Day decor but really didn't find anything I liked. I whipped out my lime green crepe paper and designed a quick little sheet to frame, this is what I came up with.

Here is the FULL TUTORIAL on how I made the rosettes on the clover. You can pretty much use this concept to glam up anything with some crepe paper rosettes. 

Below are a few of the really inexpensive finds I bought, painted gold and used for my sweet St Patricks Set up. 

Funny what one $3.00 can of gold spray paint can do….. I painted the black pots of gold which you can find here in chasing-fireflies. I love that site. =) I found the green glass plate(candle holder) and candelabra stick at the Dollar Tree and glued them together and sprayed them up in gold. I don't know how long they will last but for a dollar, I wouldn't have cared to toss them after this shoot. So if your wondering if the pot of gold I made are safe to eat out of… NO, I styled this table because I wanted to show you all my rosette clover and felt it needed some sweets as company. I actually dropped a cupcake inside and frosted the very top with store bought frosting, I then sprinkled lots of edible gold glitter (half way through I realized I was wasting my glitter because these were not edible) DUH!!! That stuff is pricey so I quickly put down the disco dust and picked up my regular MS glitter and used that instead. =) The little flags are adorable and so easy, all you do is download the file, print, cut the flags and tape or glue to stick, talk about easy topper!!!!

As a special Thank You for helping me reach 3,000 fans I created some adorable 3 x 3 sweet cards for your kids, husband or just special someone. Print, cut along lines and fold in half. You can add some treats or just present it with a fun St Patricks inspired breakfast. It does fall on a Saturday this year so if your anything like me, you probably actually sit and enjoy breakfast together as a family on the weekend….And Dont' worry, I do have ideas and recipes you can make, you don't have to make the entire shabang but pick a few things and surprise the kids and hubby!

Morning Everyone, 

Being today is March 1st, I am really excited to kick off the National Craft Month by introducing you all to a really sweet and super crafty Kristina from Modern Frills. When I received her email I was so excited, because I am a fan of her work, maybe it's because she is so crafty or maybe it the fabulous shop she runs on etsy. Where she sells custom birthday shirt. Not any old traditional shirt, you must see these shirts. She has a vintage Cake Stand Birthday Shirt  which is a must have. I am putting that one on the list for Gabriella's first birthday (no I haven't really started planning but I know I need a Modern Frills top). She has plenty of variety in her shop as well as crafts in her blog. 

The craft I would like to share with you today is the white rosette lamp shade craft. Here she takes an Anthropologie lamp she found on clearance and some scrap fabric, makes the rosettes and glues them to the lamp, VOILA………this trendy, chic lamp. 

A few other materials are needed but you will have to go to her blog to see the full tutorial. 

She has so many crafts but this one is one that I am personally going to attempt soon.
