¡Mañana me voy a Praga! Acostumbrada a los 20 grados de máxima que hemos tenido en Sevilla este invierno, moverse a una ciudad en que no se superarán los 2º me parece casi trasladarse a otro planeta. Hoy me espera un día de locura, así que os dejo un pequeño adelanto de las fotos que hice ayer, ¡y me voy corriendo! Un besazo y feliz San Valentín.

Soy muy fan de la marca española Hoss Intropia, y durante los períodos de rebajas estoy continuamente visitando su web a la espera de la nueva colección. Esta semana me llegó la newsletter anunciando la nueva temporada e inmediatamente fui a babear sobre el ordenador.

Lo mejor es que dentro de poco van a abrir la tienda online, y aunque a mí me gusta ir a la tienda para poder manosear todos los preciosos tejidos de sus prendas, siempre es una buena noticia.

No he sido capaz de seleccionar menos fotos porque, sencillamente, me gusta todo. Son tres colecciones: Hoss Intropia, Silver Line (con Bambi Northwood-Blyth) y la colaboración con Miguel Palacio, que es sublime. Los vestidos, el estilismo, las ganas de verano, esos zapatos,... Sip, muy fan.

The best new is that they will be selling online too very soon, and even though I love to go to their real stores so that I can touch those precious fabrics, it's always a good thing that they have online store.

I couldn't help choosing less photos simply because I love everything of their new collection. They have three lines: Hoss Intropia, Silver Line (with Bambi Northwood-Blyth, as you can see), and the collaboration with spanish designer Miguel Palacio, which is sublime. The dresses, the styling, the fact that I'm longing for spring, those shoes,... Yeap, a huge fan.

Me siento muy culpable por dejar esto tan desangelado durante tantos días, pero me sentiría aún más culpable si no hiciese las otras cosas que tengo que hacer (me daría un chungo, en realidad). De todas formas, aun sin mucho tiempo, he pasado un rato esta mañana haciendo algo que creo que os gustará: he ordenado mi cuarto de baño (gran sonrisa).

No sé si os pasa a vosotros pero mi cuarto de baño es una especie de desván higiénico-estilístico en el que voy echando las muestras que me dan, los champús de los hoteles (los coges por si algún día te hacen falta, y te olvidas de que en casa tienes litros de champú), brillos de labios de cuando tenías 14 años, cajas de horquillas que de algún modo misterioso desaparecen y vuelven,... Aparte de eso tenía todos los pintalabios de MAC en distintos bolsos y, bueno, esto tenía que acabar algún día. Los he buscado, encontrado y metido en el mismo sitio. Me ha hecho tanta ilusión verlos por fin juntos y me han parecido tan bonitos que no he podido resistir la tentación de hacerles una foto.

I don't know if it's me but I think every bathroom ends as an hygienic-stylistic attic where you leave the make-up samples, hotels shampoos (why do I take them when I have dozens of shampoos at home?), 10 years-old lipglosses, hairpins that vanish and reappear,... Appart from that mess all my MAC lipsticks were in different bags and, well, I had to do something. I've look for them, found them and put them all in the very same place. I was so happy to seem them all together, at last, and they look so pretty that I couldn't resist taking a photo.

Esto ha sido una pequeña recopilación alimentaria de los últimos días (no os imagináis cómo estaban los tagliatelle: buenos no, lo siguiente).

Esta semana estoy teniendo serios problemas para vestirme, no tengo ropa suficientemente abrigada para la ola de frío siberiana que tenemos. Eso me lleva a preguntarme qué narices voy a hacer para sobrevivir una semana en Praga dentro de diez días. Amigos y amigas de latitudes más frías que Sevilla, ¿cómo se viste una para el invierno centroeuropeo?

Feliz lunes a todos, ¿qué tal el fin de semana? Yo no he hecho nada especial salvo (¡por fin!) traeros unas poquitas fotos. Aproveché para sacar mi cartera artesanal y para photoshopear un rato después.

La luz sigue siendo un poco deprimente por las tardes, y yo no ayudo nada vistiéndome de rojo y gris (y volviéndome cada vez más pálida), pero es que me encantan estos pantalones. Me he dado cuenta viendo estas fotos que se me han quedado bastante grandes, y es una pena porque me encanta cómo quedan unos pitillos encerados ajustados, me han gustado mucho todos los conjuntos que he visto con los modelos que han salido esta temporada.

De todas formas estoy deseando que salgan ya las colecciones completas de primavera y verano, que empiece a hacer calor y empezar a meter color y cosas nuevas. ¿Por qué se cansa uno tan pronto del invierno y no del verano?

I decided to go out with my DIY clutch and then practiced with Photoshop.

Winter light is quite depressing, I know, and wearing grey and red can only make it worse (appart from becoming paler and paler), but the truth is that I love these pants. Looking at these photos I've realized I've lost some weight, and it's a pity because I love tight skinnies, one of my favorite things this past season was coated skinnies.

Anyway I can't wait for spring to come, I'm craving to see the new collections, to start wearing bright colors again. Why do we get tired of winter so soon?

Llevo un par de meses buscando unas gafas graduadas para no tener que ponerme lentillas todos los días. Estaba buscando en internet modelos, formas y etcétera y encontré la web de Mister Spex (pincha aquí). Conozco algunas páginas para comprar gafas online, pero creo que esta es la más completa que conozco: aparte de que tiene gafas de sol como para pasarte horas eligiendo (pincha aquí), lo bueno es que también tienes un montón de modelos de gafas graduadas (pincha aquí), de marcas como Michael Kors, Prada, Ray-Ban, Tom Ford,... Me fastidia bastante el invierno por lo rápido que se va el sol en la tarde, y sobre todo porque las horas de luz las tengo que dedicar a estudiar, y me deprime mucho salir cuando ya es de noche.

Esa es la razón principal de que en invierno haga menos fotos de outfits (y de que se reduzcan a los fines de semana) y creo que eso nos pasa a muchos. El viernes volvió a ocurrir: se hizo tarde antes de poder hacer unas fotos decentes. Pero la verdad es que no hay razón por la que no se puedan hacer buenas fotos de noche, o, al menos, hay que intentarlo.

El abrigo que llevo es una de mis adquisiciones de rebajas (aparte del lote de Bimba&Lola), ¿qué os parece?

English version: The very few hours of sunlight in winter annoy me, specially because I can't spend those hours making the most of them, but studying, and it's so depressing to go out when it's already dark.

That's the explanation of the drastic reduction of outfit post in winter (and the reason why I always update at the weekend) and I think many of us have the same problem. It happened again last friday: the sunset came before I had taken some decent photos. But there's no reason I can't make good photos at night, at least, I need to try.

Sí, sí, llevo más de una semana sin actualizar y mucho más sin enseñaros un outfit, pero mientras esperáis a las próximas fotos (que prometo llegarán esta semana) os tengo que mostrar mis nuevas adquisiciones. A mí eso de ir de rebajas como plan para el tiempo libre no me va mucho (de hecho lo odio), pero sí que aprovecho para comprar prendas que no me puedo permitir en temporada o para darme una vuelta por las tiendas donde sé que hay buenas rebajas. Mi favorita, sin duda, es Bimba y Lola, creo que son las mejores rebajas: desde el primer día casi todo está a la mitad de precio, y si esperas unos días encuentras un montón de cosas al 75%. Ayer fui a por unas zapatillas calentitas (me voy a Praga en un mes, ¡ya os contaré!) y encontré estos guantes a 9€ y la pulsera a 10€. ¿Es un chollo o no es un chollo?

English version: I know, I know, a whole week without a single update, and much more without an outfit post, but in the meanwhile (I promise an outfit post this very week) I had to show you my new babies. I don't find sale shopping very exciting (actually I hate it), but I take advantage of it to go for those things I cannot afford during the season, or just visit the stores when I know I can find real bargains. My favorite is, undoubtedly, Bimba&Lola, I think they have the best sales there: from the very first day everything is 50% off, and if you wait a week or two you can get most items at 75%. I went to Bimba&Lola yesterday to buy a pair of warm sneakers (I'm going to Prague in one month, I'll keep you updated!) and found these gloves for only 9€ and this bracelet for only 10€. Isn't it a bargain?

L'Occitane dry skin hand cream

El 80% de los regalos que he recibido esta Navidad han consistido en cremas: cremas para todas las necesidades y zonas del cuerpo. Aunque no sé muy bien cómo tomármelo, la verdad es que me encanta rebozarme el cuerpo con potingues.

Mi madre me regaló la crema de manos para pieles secas de L'Occitane, en edición limitada. La he estado probando durante 5 días hasta el momento, y me parece totalmente recomendable. Tiene manteca de karité, se absorbe muy rápido, y tiene el olor que debe tener una crema de manos en mi opinión: a crema y a limpio. Me la he estado echando por la mañana y por la noche, antes de irme a dormir, y, por el momento, tengo las manos mucho más hidratadas y suaves que de costumbre.

English version: 80% of the presents I've been given this Christmas were creams and lotions for every need and every area. Although I don't know how should I take it, I must admit I love to coat myself in creams.

My mum gave me this L'Occitane dry skin hand cream, limited edition. I've been trying if for 5 days so far, and I totally recommend it. It has shea butter, absorbs quickly, and smells like a hand cream should smell in my opinion: it smells of cream and clean. I put it twice a day, in the morning and before going to bed, and, up to now, my hands are much more moisturized and smoother.

Chocolate cake at Moderniste

El otro día Cris me llevó al café Moderniste, en el Arenal, para que probase su famosa tarta de chocolate (cuando oí esa palabra alcé las orejas y olfateé el aire). Es un café muy bonito, muy bien decorado, pero por lo visto especialmente conocido entre mis amigas por sus tartas. Pues eso, que pedimos la tarta de chocolate y nos la comimos. ¿Conclusión? Recomendable, un buen sitio para merendar o tomar una copa en el centro.

English version: My friend Cris and I were strolling around the other day and she decided to take me to cafe Moderniste, located in Arenal area, to try their famous chocolate cake (I heard the word 'chocolate' and pricked up my ears and sniffed the air). It's a pretty café, with a warm and intimate decoration, but it's specially well-known (my friends say) for its chocolate cake. So we did try the chocolate cake, conclusion? I'd recommend this place for a piece of cake or a drink if you are going downtown.

Compré estas bellezas de zapatos en Topshop al 50% y cuando llegaron ayer a mi casa no esperé ni 5 minutos para ponérmelos. Aunque son preciosos y bastante cómodos, ayer pasé más de 6 horas encima de ellos y por la noche me dolían los pies lo suficiente como para dejarlos en casa un par de días descansando. Estoy de vacaciones hasta este fin de semana y me paso las tardes deambulando por el centro, viendo tiendas, quedando con amigas,... Esta noche vienen los Reyes, así que ya mañana os cuento qué nota me dan por mi comportamiento en el 2011 ;). Un beso a todos y, que los Reyes Magos traigan muchas cosas.

English version: I bought these beautiful shoes at Topshop (50% off) and when they arrived at home yesterday morning it took me 5 minutes to wear them and go out. I love them and they're quite comfy, but I spent more than 6 hours on them yesterday and after that my feet hurt so much. I think I'm going to let them rest at home for a couple of days. I don't have to study these days so I'm spending time strolling around, shopping downtown, having coffee with friends,... The Three Kings are about to come, so tomorrow I'll let you know what they think about my behaviour in 2011 ;).

Otro año que se va y otro que viene. Las horas, días, semanas o meses son solo una forma de contar el tiempo, pero el tiempo pasa independientemente de cómo lo contabilicemos, y por eso cada fin de año es una toma de conciencia de ello.

Gracias por estar ahí todo el tiempo. Os deseo lo mejor para el 2012.

¿Quién iba a decir que íbamos a tener tan buen tiempo en vacaciones? Es increíble salir por la tarde con una blusa y una chaqueta y no pasar frío.

Os dejo estas fotos que se habían quedado en el tintero, del fin de semana. Probablemente dejaréis de venir si sigo sacando conjuntos con botas, pero últimamente estoy cogiéndoles tirria a los tacones. En realidad no, los zapatos me encantan, pero me da una pereza inmensa ponerme tacones para pasar el día fuera caminando, de compras, paseos,... Ya sabéis: boots are made for walking.

El día de Nochebuena salí a tomar unas tapas con unos amigos y hacer unas compras de última hora (yo y toda la ciudad). No sé si os lo he dicho, pero tengo una adicción severa al azúcar, y la verdad es que me considero una experta en postres. Uno de mis postres favoritos de todos los tiempos es el helado de queso viejo del bar Eslava, aunque tampoco le hago ascos a la tarta de chocolate.

¿Qué os parece el vestidito? Pensé que con unos tacones o unas sandalias daría una imagen perfectamente navideña y encantadora ante familia y amigos, pero con las prisas me lo he puesto con mis botas negras planas de Mango. Mucho más cómodo (Julio odia mis botas negras).

English version: On Christmas Eve I met some friends for lunch and did some last-minute shopping (me and the rest of the city). I think I have already told you I have a severe sugar addiction, and, actually, I consider myself an expert on desserts. One of my favorite desserts of all time is the aged cheese ice cream of bar&restaurant Eslava, but I don't have any problem with the chocolate cake either.

What do you think about this dress? I thought that I would do a perfectly Christmas and charming look with high sandals (for family and friends, you know), but I was in a rush so I decided to wear my flat black boots from Mango. Much more comfy (Julio kinda hates my black boots).

Mi mensaje de hoy es claro y simple: id a ver The Artist. Sé que no se habla de otra cosa desde el viernes pasado, que su mayor atractivo es ser una paradoja en blanco y negro en el mundo de efectos especiales, que es francesa y que casi se ha convertido en una buena película por cliché, pero os aseguro que merece la pena. Mirad las caras de la gente cuando salga de la sala: todo el mundo sonríe.

Aparte de eso os traigo también estas fotos del domingo pasado. Como podréis ver hacía un montón de viento, y aunque es bastante incómodo por el pelo que llevo en la cabeza y en el abrigo, la verdad es que es una fuente inagotable de recursos cuando se trata de hacer fotos.

Hacía mucho tiempo que no compartía con vosotros un editorial porque, cuando encontraba uno que me gustaba especialmente, me olvidaba de colgarlo aquí. Pero este me ha gustado tanto que ya he colgado unas cuentas imágenes por las paredes de mi habitación. Las fotos son tan pictóricas que puedo colgaras junto a las láminas de Klimt sin miedo a que desentonen.

PD: Os voy a compensar la ausencia de la semana pasada con un post diario, ya están programados.

El martes por la noche, y sin planearlo mucho, Julio y yo cogimos el coche y nos fuimos a pasar el puente a Segovia. No iba muy preparada para el frío, y de hecho he asumido que no puedo pasar mucho más tiempo sin comprarme un abrigo decente, pero lo hemos pasado genial. Aparte de los sitios archifamosos de la ciudad hemos descubierto la guarida de un Nariz de Oro, de la que os hablaré pronto (en cuanto pase las fotos del móvil de Julio al blog).

Viendo estas fotos estoy cayendo en la cuenta, ahora mismo, de lo poco favorecedores que resultan los vaqueros azules con botines negros... Tomadlo como look semicampestre.

Ese collar precioso es OTRO regalo que me ha traído Julio de Marruecos, y no me lo he quitado en toda la semana. Dos collares preciosos en un mes... Soy una niña mimada.

English version: Thursday night, and with no planning at all, Julio and I hit the road to Segovia. I wasn't ready for the cold (actually I've asumed I really need a good coa) but we've had a great time. Besides all the popular restaurants and places of Segovia, we've made a huge discovery: the hide-out of a Golden Nose Award, which be on the blog tomorrow (as soon as I transfer the photos from Julio's cell).

Now that I can see my outfit on pictures I realize how unflattering is to wear blue jeans with black boots (at least on me). Just take it as a half-rural outfit.

Btw, that wonderful necklace is ANOTHER present Julio bought for me on his recent trip to Marruecos, I have been wearing it all week long. Two wonderful necklaces in one month... I'm a spoiled child.

He tenido que esperar hasta el mes de diciembre para ponerme un abrigo en Sevilla, y aún había momentos en los que me sobraba. La semana pasada en Madrid, en cambio, salía por la mañana envuelta en el abrigo de pelos, con bufanda y gorro y todavía tenía frío.

Y ya está aquí la Navidad, parece mentira pero ya están todas las calles iluminadas y ya ha vuelto el bombardeo de anuncios de colonias (me gusta el de Nina Ricci de todas formas) y de juguetes. No tengo ni idea de qué voy a regalar ni de qué voy a pedir, y la verdad es que me agobia un pelín que mi madre nos pregunte ya qué queremos cenar en Nochebuena. Por mi parte voy a posponer lo de montar el árbol de Navidad lo máximo posible.

And it looks like Christmas is here again, a bit weird I think but there are Christmas lights in every street, and we're being bombarded again with spots of toys and parfums (I love the Nina Ricci spot). Right now I have no idea of what I want for Christmas or what I'm going to give, but I feel a bit overwhelmed when my mom asks me what I want to eat on Christmas Eve. I, for my part, will delay the tree stuff as much as possible.

Hola queridos míos, ¿qué tal esa semana? Yo llegué ayer de Madrid y ahora mismo estoy sentada en el sofá viendo el partido de Ferrer en la Copa Davis (que está teniendo lugar muy cerquita de aquí).

Hemos estado esta mañana en La Azotea Vinos y me he llevado la cámara. He estado muy pendiente de cómo preparaban el steak tartar (me encantan las cosas crudas) y os dejo aquí algo del proceso. También hemos probado el queso Stilton, muy fuerte pero muy bueno. Creo que era Graham Greene el que hablaba del queso Stilton tomado con Oporto...

No sé si podéis apreciar cierto cambio en la luz y la profundidad de campo en las fotos: ¡nuevo objetivo! Un adelanto de Navidad de parte de mi novio, el 50 mm 1.8 de Canon. ¡Me encanta!

¿Sabéis que mi hermana es 364 días más joven que yo? Aparte del hecho de que nació un día antes de mi primer cumpleaños, que ya es curioso, ella parece mucho más pequeña que yo. Los genes de la juventud se los ha quedado Raquel...

Esta foto es de una celebración familiar que tuvimos el sábado. Ya veis lo que me dura a mí un collar sin estrenar... La verdad es que íbamos bien monas, ¿eh?

We took this photo on saturday, we had a family celebration. As you can see, it didn't take me more than 48 hours to wear my necklace... Actually we looked really cute, won't be the last time I wear this outfit.

Collar/Necklace: Mango

Ayer, en la media hora que me queda libre antes de que todo cierre, estuve dando una vuelta rápida por las tiendas, más concentrada en ir rápido que en ver algo que me gustase. Pero de pronto vi este collar y empecé a girar el cuello peligrosamente al ritmo del fulgor de sus cristales (qué bonito, ¿¿¿eh???). Vi el precio y dejé de girar el cuello, y pensé: "Antes que un collar, cómprate algo que te evite un resfriado".

Obviamente no estaríamos ahora hablando de esto si no me lo hubiese terminado comprando. La verdad es que me lo ha regalado mi novio: vino a recogerme cuando yo estaba en órbita alrededor del collar y decidió la cuestión rápidamente.

Mil gracias, así puedo gastarme mi presupuesto en jerseys.

PD: Me voy a Madrid en un par de horas.

English version: Yesterday, half an hour before every store closed, I went out to do some quick shopping, actually more focused on being fast than on finding something nice. But suddenly I spotted this necklace and started to turn my head, following the rhythm of the brightness of its crystals (very nice, uh?). I saw the price and stopped wringing my neck, and I said to myself: "You should get something that prevents a cold, not a necklace".

Obviously, we wouldn't be here, talking about the necklace, if I hadn't purchased it. Actually my boyfriend bought it for me: he came to Mango to pick me up when I was into orbit and made a decision.

Thank you so much, now I have more budget to spend on sweaters.

PD: Off to Madrid in a couple hours.

Aunque penséis que me he pasado esta semana en estado catatónico por lo de Zara, y de ahí la falta de actividad en el blog, nada más lejos de la realidad. He estado estudiando como una loca.

Pensaba hoy que un post muy recurrente en blogs de moda y estilo de vida es el bolso, en sus múltiples modalidades: mi nuevo bolso, qué hay en mi bolso, bolsos grandes versus bolsos pequeños, la historia del bolso,... Yo misma he explotado la cuestión alguna vez. Y lo vuelvo a hacer, con un pequeño mix, para enseñaros mi mochila de biblioteca, con sus veinte bolígrafos (no tantos en realidad), cronómetro, folios, carpetas y moleskine.

Esta semana me toca estar en Madrid, así que me voy mañana y me quedaré hasta el próximo jueves. Prometo moda, fotografía, comida rica, arte y muchas otras cosas bellas.

I was thinking today that "the bag issue" is a very recurrent topic on fashion and lifestyle blogs, in its several disciplines: my new bag, what's in my bag, big bags versus small bags, history of bags,... Even I have exploited this topic once or twice. And now I do it again, with a small mix of potos, in order to show you my "library bag", in which I always carry 20 pens (not so many, actually), chronometer, papers and papers, folders and moleskine.

This week is Madrid time, and I'll be there until next thursday. I promise fashion, photography, food porn, art and many other beautiful things at my arrival.
