DomainNameSales Platform in 2013

DomainReport.ca

I started listing the majority of my domains on the DomainNameSales.com platform last October. Since January, I've had inquiries on about 10 domains. Haven't had a sale yet, but usually an inquiry comes in on average about every two weeks. The exception to this was April, which was an incredibly slow month. But then in the past week, I had two inquiries on separate domains, <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Domainreportca/~4/EFKsc3olwrM" height="1" width="1"/>

Textbooks.ca $18,000 Sale and May 8 .ca TBR Drop Results

DomainReport.ca

Better late than never! Last week was very busy for me, so I didn't have time to publish the TBR results from May 8, or list the .ca domain sales. There were 173 .ca domains taken in the May 8 TBR drop, which is pretty close to average.

In a surprise move this week, CIRA has announced that the .ca domain extension will become unrestricted to all, instead of just allowing Canadian ownership. Since 2000 when the .ca extension was made available for public registration, it has been restricted to those with a Canadian presence.

On the heels of the February 13 .ca TBR drop that featured many great .ca's, came the February 20 TBR drop with more good domains. I would say the overall quality and number was better in the Feb 13 drop, but the Feb 20 drop was still above par.

There were no .ca domain sales reported in the last week, but today I did see one sale get posted at DomainNameSales.com.

How times flies! The CIF 2013 (Canadian Internet Forum) national event is upon us once again. Seems like only yesterday I was posting about the 2012 forum.

If you are already in the Ottawa area it's easy to attend, or else start making your plans to be there at the end of February. If you can't attend in person, there will also be a webcast.
