Alice Cooper may or may not support Republican Sen. John McCain.

And he may or may not like this parody.

I’m thinking Cooper does because he lives in Arizona and he seems like a sane man.

McCain has had enough with the crap from Democratic Sen. Barack Obama.

People who get mortgages from Iraqi-born criminal billionaires ought not be throwing rocks at the other guy’s houses.

Even if he has so many, he doesn’t know how many he has.

Republican Sen. John McCain was unable to tell an interviewer how many houses he and his wife Cindy own. It’s complicated. There’s a pre-nup that puts everything in her name and those of their children. Oddly enough, McCain still owns a suburban Washington house with his first wife, or at least did as recently as 1990.

Democratic Sen. Barack Obama, sore from being portrayed as the effete elitist he is, immediately seized on this and commissioned an ad that was out within a few hours of the story breaking.

Bad form. Shows smash-mouth politics as usual from Mr. Above The Fray.

Obama should have allowed McCain’s comment to twist in the wind. Rookie mistake.

By entering the fray, Obama turned attention to that million-dollar mansion he has in Hyde Park, Chicago. He also has a residence in the Washington, DC, area.

By now, everyone knows he had help from the Syrian-born millionaire, Tony Rezko, who was convicted of 16 federal charges of kickbacks from those who did business with the state.

David Freddoso in the New York Post reported:

“On June 15, 2005, Obama bought a gorgeous house in Hyde Park for $1.65 million - $300,000 below the list price. Rezko bought the empty but attractive lot next door from the same seller at the same time; Obama would later buy part of Rezko's lot, overpaying him.”

Obama later admitted this was a “boneheaded mistake.”

Sen. Obvious strikes again.

But wait. There’s more.

While much attention has been placed on how he bought the property, no attention has been paid in the USA to how Obama financed the deal. For that, one must visit the Times of London on Feb. 26:

A British-Iraqi billionaire lent millions of dollars to Barack Obama's fundraiser just weeks before an imprudent land deal that has returned to haunt the presidential contender, an investigation by The Times discloses.

The money transfer raises the question of whether funds from Nadhmi Auchi, one of Britain’s wealthiest men, helped Mr Obama buy his mock Georgian mansion in Chicago.

A company related to Mr Auchi, who has a conviction for corruption in France, registered the loan to Mr Obama's bagman Antoin "Tony" Rezko on May 23 2005. Mr Auchi says the loan, through the Panamanian company Fintrade Services SA, was for $3.5 million.

Please not the dates. These favors were done after Obama was elected to the U.S. Senate.

It also came after Auchi was convicted. The Times reported:

Mr Auchi was convicted of corruption, given a suspended sentence and fined £1.4 million in France in 2003 for his part in the Elf affair, described as the biggest political and corporate scandal in post-war Europe. He, in a statement from his media lawyers, claims he is appealing against the sentence.

There are many reasons Obama should have remained silent and let the Can’t-Count-My-Houses meme play out.

The main reason is McCain could turn around and ask how many convicted felons does it take Obama to buy a house?
