I presented a Webinar for CareerBuilder.com’s Empowering Employment Author Webinar Series on May 25th. This continuing series features authors & career experts who share their secrets, research, and tips to help job seekers. My topic was LinkedIn and I showed the audience 10 steps to optimize their LinkedIn profile.

Lehigh University HR Social Media Presentation & Workshop

Lehigh University reached out to me for assistance in better understanding how their HR department could better leverage Social Media to keep faculty and staff updated.

On Friday, May 18th, they had a team building development day. In the morning they took glass blowing lessons and in the afternoon, I presented on Social Media. The rest of the day I helped facilitate a brainstorming session in which numerous take away items were identified.

The group had various levels of knowledge of Social Media. The presentation provided everyone with a strong foundation and will allow them to continue to build acceptance of this new medium.

PICPA: Women’s Conference

PICPA, Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Personal Accountants reached out to me and invited me to present the keynote at their annual Women’s Conference on May 16, 2012.

The event took place at the Penn State Great Valley Conference Center. There were over 100 women in attendance.

My presentation was chosen to be recorded for future on demand viewing.

The Feasterville Business Association is a local business group that fosters and encourages growth, the progress, and the betterment of community.

I delivered a Social Media presentation after their April 4th dinner meeting and provided helpful information regarding Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, G+ and more. I gave a general overview of Social Media and provided insight on how they could leverage LinkedIn and other networks as marketing tools for themselves and their businesses.

The event took place at Twining Hall and approximately 30 business leaders were in attendance.

NBC Special Live Event: Job Search and Social Media Presentation

Tracy Davidson from NBC10 Philadelphia is committed to helping local displaced workers find jobs. I worked with her on “Jobs Week,” in which experts provided live online presentations to her audience. Following on the heels of Jobs Week, Tracy asked me to present at a LIVE studio event in front of an audience of job seekers.

On March 22, I presented my TOP 5 ACTION STEPS to leveraging Social Media and LinkedIn in the job search. The presentation took place in the NBC10 Studios located in Bala Cynwyd, in the same space where The 10! Show is taped. The room was packed, standing room only. In fact, this was the first presentation of the series in which NBC10 hired an ASL Interpreter because of demand.

On March 21, 2012, I delivered the keynote presentation for DVFG Advisor’s “Explode Your Sales” Event. This event showcased how to power-position yourself and forever change how you are perceived and become the expert in your market. Audience members learned about new tools and techniques to immediately generate sales.

My presentation was entitled, “5 Ways to Maximize LinkedIn” I talked about how to optimize your LinkedIn profile and impress your network.

The event was held at the Radisson-Valley Forge Convention Center in King of Prussia, PA.

Presentation for NBC10′s Jobs Week: Social Media & the Job Search

NBC10 asked me to present on Social Media and Job Search for their Job’s Week event.

What is Jobs Week?

Tracy Davidson and the ConsumerWatch team are helping people find jobs by featuring several local job openings on their newscasts and providing 30-minute webinars on NBC10.com each evening to help viewers hone their job-hunting skills.

I had worked with Tracy Davidson and her producer Alexis Leonard on a story about LinkedIn a few months back. When Alexis reached out and asked me to present for Jobs Week, I was thrilled! I am a huge fan of their work and I love how they are providing such amazing job information for people who need it!

The presentation aired live at 7pm (eastern), March 13, 2012. The title of the presentation was Finding a Job in the Social Media Savvy Millennium.
