We've all opened our Christmas gifts, dragged our fresh pine trees onto the curbside, and taken down all the holiday trimmings and decorations but we have yet to declare our one other shining star (beside Baby Jesus, of course) last December 24. The poll ended on New Year's Eve, and here we are on the eve of Chinese New Year we still have to name the stylish winner.

As they say out with the old and in with the new - that is, new style, new look, and new attitude. Jing, Cheska, and fashionably late Dawn rang in the new year wearing the latest trends in fashion. They were seen partying with some of the stylish New Yorkers, sipping champagne, and toasting 2012 like it was the end of the world.

10 Resolutions for 2012

Hello, 2012! Was it a bangin' New Year for everyone? It wasn't for me but more on that later. Since 2012 is presumably the end of the world I have decided to make a list of my 10 resolutions (which I have used as a countdown of sorts in my Facebook) for the year ahead. You have to understand I've never had any resolutions in the past because I know me - I hate lists and I tend to break every rules.

But then again, it's the new year - a new beginning and a new moi. So here it is my Top Ten list - and I do hope I stay true to each resolution. Good luck to me!

The look for 2012 - bombshell!

1. Just because I'm trans doesn't mean I need transfat in my body. So in with my Skinny Bitch Project 2012!

2. I refuse to be ugly so I will have to remind myself - sleep, moisturize, and hydrate and maybe, just maybe, set up an appointment with a good plastic surgeon!

3. Three 4-letter words to discard: rude, mean, and cunt. Three to live by: nice, good, and ~~kind~~ fuck.

4. I will not want what I can not have. And that means Louboutin, Chanel, Mini-Cooper, and Ryan Gosling!

5. I don't mind gaining a year of wisdom but I will defy at all costs adding a year to my age!

6. I will work my butt off to be independent even if I have to use my actual butt as a tool to achieve that goal. After all, it's just a piece of ass!

7. I will write passionately and frequently. I hate to bore you with my writing so I will try to keep you interested by becoming a sex columnist here instead.

8. I will maintain a sunny disposition despite dark clouds hovering above my head. I just have to always remember that a sad face results to 10 wrinkles a day and that laughter is way cheaper than a pill of Prozac.

9. Being single has its perks. I don't have to answer to anyone but me and no one can ever hold me hostage again. I will embrace my inner Carrie Bradshaw pre-Mr. Big and be fabulous - only with cheaper shoes and purses and even a Patricia Field-less and tiny closet.

10. Less Facebook- ing. Note to self: You are too selfish and too busy to mind other people's business and deal with their issues. Discover the world out there.

God rest ye merry ladies: Nochebuena in an underground bar at NYC's Meatpacking district

Feliz Navidad! Joyeux Noel! Maligayang Pasko! Merry Christmas readers!

Nochebuena, that long-held tradition of dinner gathering at midnight among family and friends on Christmas Eve, came to New York served hot in a fabulous platter - at least among eight of the city's most ravishing and gorgeous transpinays. (Any objection/disagreement?)

The ladies trooped to the tres chic Soho Grand Hotel in downtown Manhattan dressed to the nines for dinner at the Club Room. Although the city was unusually but predictably quiet on a night like Christmas weekend, the fab posse took just a few minutes of downing cocktails to break the silence in the eerily quiet nightspot.

Patrons didn't care if laughter and loud chattering by the girls mixed with the party music. Silent Night is better sung and not observed on Christmas Eve, I guess. When the clock struck at midnight, the girls clinked their glasses and toasted each other for this joyful season. And greeted an inebriated Belle on her birthday which falls on December 25.

Over entrees of salmon, carbonara, and lamb chops as well as sips of wine and cocktails, the eight ladies who dine gossipped, teased, and endlessly flirted with just about anyone. Of course, this gathering won't be complete without the usual photo-ops - or what we call camera whoring. Taking advantage of the new locale, the frustrated models were all over the place mugging for the digicams and iPhones - in the lavatory, in the hallways, by the stairs, in the lobby, and even on console tables.

Once the photo shoot was done, they all hied off uptown to Meatpacking district where the party scene never takes a day off. While the crowd was thinner for a Saturday night, the girls did have fun gulping more cocktails at the Underground bar as well as dancing at the rooftop of Gansevoort Hotel.

The Queens girls - Belle, Mya, Katrina and fresh off the boat Ruby - bid adieu much earlier while Jing, Naima, Dawn and Germaine boogied until the rooftop served its last drink. After all, there were just so many guys eyeing the fab four but none came home with strangers despite one invitation for a delectable breakfast at dawn and overtures for a quick romp.

It was already Christmas morning when the last of the eight came to bed - drunk, tipsy, hungry, tired, sleepy, and perhaps horny. Yet the girls were visibly happy and merry on a day when despite the absence of family to celebrate the holidays with, they found each other to share its joys and its meaning. Indeed Christmas is in our hearts wherever you are and whoever you're with. So fabulous!

Naughty or nice: Santa reins down on the girls this Christmas in their fabulous dresses

The fabulous Transpinays of New York won't ever have a Blue Christmas. Decorations of red (or orange, or pink, or black) on a green Christmas tree, as the song goes, will be brighter than ever for these girls with or without a man.

During a Christmas Eve dinner at the chic Club Room of Soho Grand Hotel downtown, the girls turned the occasion into a fashion runway as they strutted in stunning dresses. Brights mixed with the usual NY look of gray and black over cocktails and entrees.

From off-the-rack to couture, the gorgeous ladies wore their party dresses with panache and let their personal style out and loud on a supposedly subdued night in the city. While the evening was chilly, the temperature rose above boiling point around them as gawkers and admirers stood frozen in the background.

It was a night of ties, surprises, and last-minute winners. Twelve gorgeous ladies from Asia vied for the mother of all crowns last night in a glittering and jam-packed Miss AsiaNYC 2011 in New York and one stood out among them all.

And the newly crowned Miss AsiaNYC 2011 is ... Nicky Despi of Japan!

First runner-ups are Miss Thailand and Miss Nepal. While Thailand was officially announced during the pageant proper, Nepal was later handed the same prize at the after party at Lucky Cheng's. Second runner-up is Miss Vietnam.

Congratulations to the winners and to all the candidates! The stiff competition was marked with ties in many of the events leading to the finals. Eventually Miss Japan prevailed and drew the loudest cheers in the audience when her name was announced.

TS WEEKLY issue #29: A Fabulous 33 Yet Again

Hola! Como esta? Mucho tarde as usual with this posting . This piece of news is actually old news - and as old as Dawn was on Nov. 25. Si, our fabulous single girl marked her 33rd birthday yet again at her empty apartment in Forest Hills surrounded by her gorgeous friends in shimmering and glittery outfit. You've seen the fashion, now read all about the juicy deets here.

The party began as somber as the day itself. It was Black Friday after all, a day of shopping for most Americans. Early comers were BFFs Jing and Germaine who brought along a friend with benefits. Soon all the gals and guys followed. Before you knew it, the apartment - emptied but for a few chairs and a bed - was packed with bitches and perverts.

Alcohol ran out by midnight and yet the party chugged along. The birthday girl changed outfit five times - each time bearing a signature designer/high street collaboration. A few bared their assets and some chose to play it demure.

Undoubtedly there were hookups and some partnerships were surprising. As the night wore on and the temperature in the room rose to orgasmic level, some girls left with guys in tow. Ex-couples went with different partners while others came home alone.

By dawn, the apartment was left with a handful of guests who did the expected deed. Shall we say the big O? But of course our lips are sealed. Like they say what happens at Dawn's after party is none of your freaking business. Ha ha.

If God is omnipresent, then Adele is ubiquitous. I know it's the same thing. No, I'm not saying Adele is God - a goddess is more like it, actually - but the British music sensation is just everywhere in 2011. Who can't escape her music, her awards, her name recognition?

Aside from having the best-selling album (21) and best-selling single (Rolling In the Deep) of the year worldwide, topping both iTunes and Billboard charts, and leading Grammy nominations, she's just unstoppable despite being temporary sidelined by a throat surgery. And why am I talking about Adele? Simply, she's just fabulous!

I have just bought a DVD/CD of her live concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London held last summer. As expected, it's been on repeat play on my iPod and I've watched the concert many times. I can't get enough of her. I'm so in love with her - and this I say coming from someone who has adored Madonna for more than 25 years.

So if you want to gift someone this Christmas with love and music, give her Adele. It's all worth it. Forget about Gaga, Rhianna, or Beyonce, none can compare to the curvaceous and fabulous lady who sings not with gimmick but with soul and all of her heart.

The Black Friday party echoed the hottest trend in fashion this season - silver, gold, platinum, and all the others in the color spectrum with sheen. A dash of sequins and sparkle heightened the drama as well on an otherwise basic look. Adding pizazz to the metallic mesh were the classic animal prints.

It was like a fashion runway at Dawn's Metallic Friday party celebrating yet again her 33rd birthday. The celebutante herself made quick changes and came up with five different looks spanning various style trends in just one night.

Not to be outdone, the girls sashayed in fabulous dresses and posed for the paparazzo as if they were guests trotting on a big red carpet event. The pose was full of confidence and the look was definitely diva-ish.

Happy Birthday to Me

Yesterday was Nov. 23, the day I turned 33 yet again.

Every year for the past 10 years of living in New York, I have gotten used to spending my birthday all by myself. With or without a man by my side, I always enjoy the solitary celebration of this special day, knowing it would last only 24 hours. It happens too that this day falls around Thanksgiving and people are just too busy with other stuff to mind me.

And I'm fine with that. I'm alone and yet not lonely. There's a difference between being alone and being lonely. I enjoy the solitude of marking this lone day specially devoted to me. So I do stuff for me. Last night after work, I went to watch a movie alone. And I was happy I did. It was a fitting end to Nov. 23.

My birthday may have ended but there's always tomorrow to look forward to. On Friday, Nov. 25, I will be throwing a fabulous bash with my gorgeous friends to toast me. I apologize that it has all been me, myself and I but I feel there is always a reason to celebrate what's so special about birthdays - you.

My H&M x Versace Loot

I've always been a fan of Versace. The late Gianni Versace made supermodels wearing his designs goddesses and much, much bigger than they were supposed to be during his heydays in the late 80's, early 90's.

Gianni made fabulous frocks and dresses that made me swoon all the time. Simply the label he founded became iconic and was aspirational for me. Later when I started earning money, I bought some discounted Versace pieces at duty free shops on Saipan. That made my life on a sleepy island much more fabulous.

A dozen years later in a city called New York, my love for the luxury label had been awakened so suddenly after my favorite cheap chic clothing store announced a dream collaboration. Hence, the hotly-anticipated and highly-covetable H&M x Versace turned my fabulous life upside down. Just like Lanvin and Cavalli did in the past.

The hype on the iconic collection is all worth it. The fabric material - soft leather, silk, suede, studs, and sequins - is way better than previous high end collaboration by H&M. The Swedish retailer didn't penny pinch on the details such as hardware, fringes, metal mesh, buttons, and the likes. Signature Versace symbols like the Medusa head and Greek signs are all over the collection.

For me, this is the best collaboration so far. Hats off to Donatella for reviving my love forVersace. Some pieces may be over the top and the busy prints may be too much even for a fashion victim like moi. But still there are several classic pieces that will always be part of my wardrobe and that I could inject into my style.

So on that note, let me reveal the loot I snagged from my shopping spree last Saturday morning. Save for the leather biker jacket, I took home almost all in my iCovet list. See the pictures below.

H&M x Versace Madness

After being sleep-deprived for almost 48 hours and catching up with much-needed rest Sunday, I have finally found time to blog about the HUGE fashion event this past weekend. Haven't you heard about Versace's Iconic capsule collection being hawked in select H&M and selling out in mere minutes or so?

AND can I tell ya? I was there and snagged some affordable chic pieces from the collection for my ever-shrinking closet and wardrobe must-haves. Before I unveil my loot, let me tell you this tragic story. Why would I wait in line for hours in the dead of autumn, sleep deprived for cheap clothes? Simply, these one-off designer-mass market collections are highly covetable. Period. So if your thing is to fall in line for new iPhones or rush at midnight for Black Friday deals, I don't freaking care. This is my thing so let it go.

Where's the swag bag like Lanvin? This is all we got for lining up for hours or days for some - a discount coupon!

After work ended almost 11 PM Friday night, I got home to take a brief rest, then took a shower and I was out the door by 2 AM. I drove Coco to the city, parked on 51st St. next to the Rockefeller Center, and got in line at the H&M flagship store on Fifth Ave.

By 3 AM Saturday, there were already about 150 desperate fashionistas and eBay resellers ahead of me in the line all anticipating to be the first to purchase the much-coveted pieces. The temperature dropped to nearly 37 degrees Fahrenheit later that dawn and everyone was cold, sleepy, and anxious. Sometimes, I'd hop into Coco to warm up and rest my tired bun for a while.

It was 6 AM when staff began giving out the wrist band to let us know the time we could shop the women's collection. They did this for the first time last year for Lanvin and I found it was much better and more organized compared to my experience when I joined the chaos during the Roberto Cavalli collection in 2007.

Anyway, my time was determined for 10:45 AM and I'd have 15 minutes to shop. So I met up with my BFF Jing at her apartment nearby to take a power nap for 45 minutes. By 8 AM I left Jing who was still sleeping (she was asked to comeback at 11:15 AM) to pay street parking for Coco. I heard from whispers outside the first few who got in early grabbed all the leather jackets and completely raided the men's collection.

So I killed time just looking around, marveling at the chaos for the men's collection on the second floor. I would have grabbed something for my BFF Em but all that was left were the ugly prints and leather pants. So I passed.

Downstairs, the DJ finally called our batch so I joined the line again along with the girls with whom I became chummy while waiting outside in frigid weather. Meanwhile, I kept dialingJing's phone to let her know her time was about to come. No answer. She must have overslept.

Anyway, the line guard let us in ahead only because my new found girlfriends in the line got in a bitching match with some rude mother-daughter team in our batch who obviously couldn't wait to snag those Versace dresses and cut in line. Well, I was glad I was 15 minute early.

Unfortunately when I got into the shopping bullpen, all the leather jackets and studded dresses were gone. So I grabbed everything I could - the metal mesh, the LBDs, and a pair of booties hoping it would fit me - with the help of personal shoppers.

In the middle of my shopping spree, a radio reporter inside toting a mic stopped me for an interview. Because I was a former journalist, I obliged - and all this while I had 10 minutes left to shop. He asked why I was there - I told him this. "I've always loved Versace and in the 90s back when I had money I'd buy original ones. But with this economy, it is hardly affordable. I'm glad H&M is doing this for budget-conscious shoppers like me. And now this collection is the only I can buy."

So what are you buying, he asked. "Everything I can get my hands on. And now I have only 5 minutes left to shop and I'm losing out to everyone else. I can't talk anymore, I need to shop right now." What's your name? "Dawn." From? "Queens." Damn I should've said Manhattan down the block - meaning Jing's. Manhattan sounds much better on a radio interview, don't you think?

Anyway, I added a few items in my shopping bag and off I went to the fitting room before my time was up. Only seven pieces were allowed inside the booth. I loved all the dresses I tried on, but sadly I had to let go of others as I couldn't possibly pay for everything. Off the list were the gold metallic dress, the purple dress, the green palm sequin shift dress, a tacky leather purse, and a few accessories.

I went to the cash register and my loot rang up to a princely sum of XXX plus. I handed two of my credit cards to the cashier. I heaved a sigh of relief as the transactions went through. I went back to see if Jing was in the line or was in the bullpen. No sighting of the giant woman.

Toting two big shopping bags, I stepped out of H&M away from the throngs of more desperate fashionistas into my car. I sat the two bags on the passenger seat. Jing finally texted me that she was in the fitting room. Thank God. Then I called my boss to let him know I'd be an hour late for work.

It was almost noon when I drove Coco back to New Jersey with my Versace loot happily seated next to me. I was dead tired, sleepy, and hungry but I was still excited despite hours of endless wait. I got almost all I wanted. And I knew I deserved all these just because I had worked my ass off these past few weeks so I could afford Versace - even if it's only done for a mass retailer. A hardworking girl's got to be fabulous sometimes, right? And it's my freaking birthday this week!

A Metallic Party for Moi

Metallic look is HUGE this season. To mark my 33rd birthday, I'm throwing a fabulous party to celebrate this yet another milestone with my gorgeous friends and handsome lovers.

The motif will be full of luster, shiny, glittery, and bright. Dresses and accessories will be in gold, silver, platinum, and all jewel tones. Come and party with me. Save the date and place: November 25 - Black Friday - in my New York apartment.

Sorry moi readers it took forever to make a tabloid story about the double celebration of two fab girls. Busy, busy, busy. Georgina and Germaine marked their milestones yet again with an intimate dinner on a Sunday evening over sumptuous Chinese gourmet food.

Coffee and dessert at Starbucks followed and a trip to hot Twenty Club where Germaine got a steaming lap dance from hot beefcakes on the prowl. We ended the night on a high note. Satiated in all aspects. As Georgina would say it - love, love, love!

Madonna does Harper's Bazaar - again!

I remember this iconic cover done years ago at the height of her popularity and notoriety. She has done a gazillion covers for the fashion magazine since then - and loads of others - and it's good to know she is still being sought by fashion editors to appear on the cover despite her age (read: she's 54 after all!)

Well she has a bazillion projects going on so her publicists must be working so hard to keep the one and only M in the center of media storm. First, she has the movie W.E. which she directed and financed. She discussed the movie and film making theories with the writer on the article in the magazine which will be in newsstands later this month.

And frankly, I've heard her say the same things over and over again in past interviews so I will just lift a quote that's quite intriguing for me and very revealing to say the least.

"I find whenever someone writes anything about me, my age is right after my name," she says. "It's almost like they're saying, 'Here she is, but remember she's this age, so she's not that relevant anymore.' Or 'Let's punish her by reminding her and everyone else.' When you put someone's age down, you're limiting them."

She says, "To have fun, that's the main issue. To continue to be a provocateur, to do what we perceive as the realm of young people, to provoke, to be rebellious, to start a revolution."

Well, I couldn't agree more. She may be 54 but she looks stunning and definitely doesn't look every bit of her age. How many of us can say that? (Although it does help being rich and having the wherewithal to defy gravity, don't you think?) She has defied the odds before and continues to do so while her contemporaries are either dead, semi-retired, missing or completely gone bonkers.

And for that you will always be my queen, M - cover or no cover of a magazine!

Hot Versace/H&M Looks

Are you stoked yet? Nine days to go before the end of the world comes courtesy of the hotly-anticipated Versace Iconic Collection for H&M.

This early my friends and I are strategizing to make sure that we get the pieces we adore. We plan to start getting in line by midnight of Friday on the Fifth Ave. flagship store and wait, wait, wait in the dead of fall/winter weather. Even now, we can't be too sure how many millions of shopaholics will turn out for the Nov. 19 street date.

On Tuesday night, Donatella Versace and H&M unleashed the whole collection in a star-studded runway show/party in Manhattan. The reviews by fashion experts and bloggers have been glowing, zeroing in especially on the glam side of the design and the fact that the materials are of top quality (although Made in China, and not Italy - darn!)

Indeed, they look great on models judging from the pictures. Cheap but chic - that's H&M andVersace for you. I have picked out my top favorite looks and I'm hoping to snag them come end of the world. See you Nov. 19 in line!
