I have a day job and often I'm looking out for something on the side to earn a little extra money. Inflation is killing me and salaries are not increasing to fight back! So I've decided to try surveys. It should be easy right? Just take 10 mins of your time to fill up surveys on random products or services and you get paid with cash or vouchers!

I've been surfing the net and I found a few that could potentially bring in the dough. I have yet to sign up for them yet cos honestly, I've signed up for others as well and they're already taking up my time.

I just got back from my boss's place. It was a private early Xmas party for close colleagues.

Because not many of my colleagues drink, my boss said that it's only me and him who has to drink more alcohol so that he can finish up his bottles.

Honestly I have no idea how much bottles we finished cos he added mixers as well.

Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed myself while we talk about everything, including office gossips.

While I was on my way home from bishan (a colleague dropped me off on her way home), I managed to stay still, standing all the way back to Yishun while burying my face in my iPhone, playing Pocket Frogs.

And walking to my block, I made 'drunk' calls to my neighbor. Thank god he did not pick up.

And when I got home, I almost participated in a dating contest and fantasiZe calling an ex colleague whose last day was today and who also stays in Yishun.

Do not be mistaken for my perfect spelling that I'm pretending to be drunk. Lord knows how thankful I am for auto correct.

I was never active in blogging or even chatting much even though I considered myself an extrovert.

Maybe I'm really not like that.

Nevertheless, I think if ure more or less controlled (and aware of what ure doing), alcohol gives u the courage to do something you won't normally do when You're sober.

I have a small stomach. Or rather, I would have my fill of food pretty fast. So whenever I go for steamboat or buffet, it's so not worth my time and money. I guess it's my fault that I'm only starting to train seriously for the Standard Chartered Marathon this coming December.

About an hour and a half ago I came back from the most excruciating run of my life. Actually it was more like sprints. My chest was in such pain I thought an alien is going to burst through my ribcage. My colleague and I did interval training; sprint for one minute or 300m, rest for one minute and sprint again. We did this 6 times. FYI, this was my first time doing it.

For every sprint I did, the distance I ran became shorter. My chest was tight and burning and I was gasping for air by a mouthful like a guppy. I don't think I ever looked so shit-faced. And guess what? I'll be doing this 3 times a week and every Sunday, a swim with a goal of 30 laps at least.

Why does exercising have to be so painful? I've told my ex-bf countless of times that I am JUST NOT BUILT for running. I'm more of a... team sports kinda person. Or maybe extreme or adventure sports? I'd like to try surfing, water rafting and wake-boarding. At least they're exciting, to me. As for team sports, I love LOVE netball. I love the competition, to win. Now that kinda of sport gets me going. I need interesting sports that holds my attention. Running though challenging, is still ultimately boring to me. If I were to pick between 2 boring sports - running or swimming - I'd pick swimming. Somehow it's a complete body workout for me.

Nevertheless, I still have to continue this routine until the big day. My colleague told me it'll get easier and I'll be able to keep to the sprint longer. I pray he's right.

Or else, I'll just make him run the 21km race for me.

I'm gonna crash in bed now. Hope I sleep like a baby.

In the next hour or so, we're going for Singapore Wine Fiesta 2010!! I'm not a wine lover but heck, free tix and it's just right at the office's doorstep!

In the meantime, I'm being entertained by my boss! He decided we should have funky songs playing to celebrate this great day. So he played Lady Gaga and singing along to 'Poker Face'. Instead of singing ".. my poker face.." he sang ".. po,po,po,po,poke your face.." in the most monotonous tone while replying an email. ZOMG!

Earth Day - 22nd April 2010

Hey everyone!

Yesterday was Earth Day in Singapore. I'm sure everywhere in the world is celebrating this day and doing their part to educate and practice going 'green'.

I became more aware on being more environmentally friendly and started using mugs and sports water bottles in the office, not those plastic mineral bottles. I also keep my one-sided printed papers and reuse them as scrap paper.

At home, I rarely use the air conditioner and watch TV so I guess I save a lot of enery and not to mention, money. My mom hardly use the washing machine and instead wash by hands in pails. I try to encourage her to buy refills instead of another bottle of detergent but sometimes she forgets.

My bf has a Suzuki 125 Van Van that has low fuel consuption and after doing a overhaul, it's using much less fuel than before. Good for you babe!

How are you doing your part to be eco-friendly?

I didn’t mention before on any of my blogs but I went for the Placebo concert last week. The crowd turn out wasn’t what I expected and I heard that Placebo wasn’t happy with the ticket sales but heck.. the show must go on!

They played a lot of new songs which I wasn’t familiar with cos I haven’t listened to their latest album yet – Battle For The Sun. But I must say, it sound good and I’m so planning to rip it from my friend’s CD which I bought for her for her birthday!

I was also expecting to see a lot of emo-dressed kids but surprisingly, majority are adults, ang mohs and hardly anyone was in emo black outfits with heavily lined eyes and what nots. Pleasantly surprised.

However I did expect to see crazy people rocking and them I saw! One ang moh kid was jumping back and forth, pulled his shirt over his head while flinging his arms wildly in the air (like he just don’t care!). Thank God he was right at the back of the crowd where the only people in danger of being smacked at were those bringing in cups of beer bought from stalls nearby.

Another Crazy I saw, though not as mental as the ang moh kid (but still just as dangerous), was a young lady dressed almost all in black. She had a cup of beer in one hand and a lit cig in the other. And she was rockin’ with the music too, stepping back and forth, beer spilling and cig swinging dangerously close to those standing behind, front of her and those walking pass. After a while me and my people realised she was getting closer and we feared for our skin. We kept a close eye on her, making sure she wasn’t in our way and sadly, I missed out a small bit of Every Me And Every You cos I was distracted by that looney….. But I forgive her.

Monday Blues?

Not ME! Because I'm on leave today! *heh*

I'm suppose to go for a 12.30pm body massage appointment but the lady who contacted me did not sms me the address like she promised. So now I'm contemplating if I should go down anyway (she told me it was around City Hall behind a church) and get lost OR not go down at all and just head straight to my 2.30pm movie.

I know I could call ATOS Wellness to ask for their address but I have so many unknown numbers on my call list I can't remember which to call. Then again I can Google the address but I was told that my appointment will be at their sister company, but I can't remember the name!

Anyways, what kind of customer service was this! I remember twice they called me up and twice I reminded/requested them to sms me their address! The best part was in the second call, the lady made me promise to be there (I postponed the last time) because she will be waiting for me. Oh sure... Where's the address you promised me!

Ok, I've decided. I'M NOT GOING!

So with the extra time, I'm just gonna chill, enjoy my lunch of pork chops and salad with my mother and enjoy the rest of the day with the love of my life...
