In 1924, John Satre immigrated from Norway to the United States to work as a chauffeur in Salisbury, CT. His brothers Magnus and Olaf joined him the following year. That year they established the Salisbury Outing Club, from which organization the Salisbury Winter Sports Association developed. On January 29, 1927 the club held its first ski jumping competition with a crowd of over two hundred spectators. In 1933 the Salisbury Outing Club hosted the National Championships. During World War II the club became inactive and the ski jump fell into disrepair. In 1945, Salisbury residents regrouped and renamed the Salisbury Outing Club as the Salisbury Winter Sports Association. Following restoration of the jump, and improvements made to the landing hill and tower in 1950, the SWSA was positioned to host the Eastern National Championships in 1952.^[1] That championship has been contested at Satre Hill since that time. 2010 marked the demolition of the SWSA's old main jump and a major fund drive to finance construction of a new jump, compliant with current standards for jumps, was begun in preparation for hosting both the Eastern National Championships and the USSA Junior Olympics in 2011

Toy Story 3 was released in theaters on June 17, 2010 in Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore; June 18, 2010 in the United States and on June 24th in Australia. It will be released on July 19, 2010 in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Originally the UK release was set as July 23 but has since been pushed forward due to its anticipated high demand in the country.^[4]^[5] Toy Story 3 broke the record of Shrek the Third as the biggest single day gross for an animated film, but it was unable to top Shrek the Third's opening weekend and, with a $110,307,189 gross, it received the second highest opening weekend for an animated movie.^[6]^[7] It is also the highest grossing opening weekend for a Pixar film, as well as the highest grossing opening weekend for a film to have opened in the month of June. Chinatown Wars has a different presentation from previous games in the series. Instead of a ground-level view behind the protagonist or a top-down perspective, Chinatown Wars uses a fully rotatable camera angled down at the action.^[11] Chinatown Wars also uses cel-shaded polygons with black outlines to produce a comic book-like aesthetic — a first for the series. The title takes place in the Grand Theft Auto IV rendition of Liberty City, with the exception of Alderney.

Unlike Grand Theft Auto IV, the player can disable as many cop cars as possible to escape the police instead of leaving a "wanted zone". The more stars the player has, the more cops they have to take out for each level. For example, for a six star level, they have to take out six cop cars to get down to a five star wanted level, and so on.^[12] Also unlike Grand Theft Auto IV, when the player is shooting at an enemy, and has killed the person, it locks onto another enemy, instead of still aiming at the dead person. There is also a drug dealing sub plot which allows players to peddle six types of drugs around the city. Players can make a profit by recognizing market conditions and demands based on geography and plying their wares accordingly. CCTV cameras work as this game's secret packages which is destroyable via throwing a Molotov cocktail bottle & decreases the chances of being caught while making a drug deal .^[13] Chinatown Wars applies many Grand Theft Auto IV features such as the new next gen HUD. Ammu-nation returns in the form of an in-game website where the player can order various weapons through their PDA to be delivered to their safehouse. In the Ultimate Ninja Series line, the player controls one of the many characters seen within the Naruto anime and manga. The simple goal is to fight the opposing character and to win by reducing their health to zero. The catch to this goal is the vast amount of weapons that appear to the characters as the battle progresses (along with items which could potentially heal the player or the opponent). Along with the various weapons available to the characters, they also have their various special abilities taken straight from the series (Naruto Uzumaki's Rasengan or Sasuke Uchiha's Chidori, for example). To use these attacks, however, the player must have the required chakra as indicated by the "chakra bars" located under the players health. Using the technique drains the chakra bar (which can be regained through various methods, including special, character specific methods for some characters). These special techniques are not performed in real-time, however; once successfully executed, a cinematic takes place, where the player either has to fill a bar to a specific level or hit buttons illustrated in the corner of the screen faster than their opponent to assure the attack is at its full strength. All characters can use the substitution jutsu, although some characters use different versions (two variants of Substitution exist; one which evades normal attacks, and another which begins a tug-of-war like minigame after juggling an opponent). Also, some characters have specific transformations available to them (such as Sasuke's Curse Mark of Heaven with the right amount of chakra or, in the later games, by successfully executing their special technique). The first 2 games of the Ultimate Ninja series let players execute 3 different secret technique attacks using three different Chakra levels (red, purple, and blue, in order of weakest to strongest), 2 different signature techniques, and a wide variety of kicks, punches, and throws. However, in Ultimate Ninja 3, players are only allowed to use one secret technique attack, besides the other attacks and techniques. To compensate for this, players will be allowed to select the secret technique of their choice before each battle, but not all secret techniques will be made available at the start of the game. Different secret techniques must be obtained through story mode and completing missions.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 (officially abbreviated as PES 2010 and known as World Soccer: Winning Eleven 2010 in Japan) is the latest football video game in the Pro Evolution Soccer series. The game was developed and published by Konami for release on Sony's PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Portable; Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Windows; Nintendo's Wii; and mobile phones.^[7]

PES 2010 was announced on 8 April 2009^[7] and the playable demo for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 versions was released on 17 September 2009.^[8] The game itself was released on 23 October 2009 in Europe.

Lionel Messi is a key endorsement player for PES 2010, having featured extensively throughout the promotion and development of the game.^[9] He features on the cover alongside Fernando Torres, another endorsement player.^[10]

The game is set to be released on the iPhone OS in June 2010

Terminator Salvation is a 2009 American science fiction action film directed by McG and starring Christian Bale and Sam Worthington. The fourth installment in the Terminator series, the film is set in 2018 and focuses on the war between Skynet and humanity, with the human Resistance fighting against Skynet's killing machines. This is a departure from the previous installments, which were set between 1984 and 2004 and used time travel as a key plot element. Bale portrays John Connor, a Resistance fighter and the franchise's central character, while Worthington portrays cyborg Marcus Wright. Terminator Salvation also features Anton Yelchin as a young Kyle Reese, a character first introduced in The Terminator, and depicts the origin of the T-800 Model 101 Terminator.

After a troubled pre-production, with The Halcyon Company acquiring the rights for the franchise from Andrew G. Vajna and Mario Kassar and several writers working on the screenplay, filming began in May 2008 in New Mexico and ran for 77 days. The film is currently the most expensive independent production in history, with a budget of $200 million. Terminator Salvation was released on May 21, 2009 in the United States and Canada, followed by early June releases in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. The film was met with mixed to negative critical reception.^[3]^[4]

Binghamton is a city located in the Southern Tier of New York in the United States. However, the city has fallen from prominence throughout the second half of the 20th century, with dramatic decreases in its manufacturing base following World War II that culminated in high-tech industry cuts at the end of the Cold War. Combined with suburbanization, Binghamton suffered a precipitous decline in fortunes, and has lost nearly half its population since peaking around 85,000 in the 1950s.

Colin McRae: Dirt 2 (known as Dirt 2 outside Europe and stylised, DiRT)^[5] is a racing game released in September 2009, and is the sequel to Colin McRae: Dirt. This is the first game in the McRae series since McRae's death in 2007. It was announced on 19 November 2008 and features Ken Block, Travis Pastrana, Tanner Foust, and Dave Mirra. The game includes many new race-events, including stadium events. Along with the player, an RV travels from one event to another, and serves as 'headquarters' for the player. It features a roster of contemporary off-road events, taking players to diverse and challenging real-world environments. The game takes place across four continents: Asia, Europe, Africa and North America. The game includes five different event types: Rally, Rallycross, 'Trailblazer,' 'Land Rush' and 'Raid.' The World Tour mode sees players competing in multi-car and solo races at new locations, and also includes a new multiplayer mode.

Colin McRae: Dirt is the first PC video game to use Blue Ripple Sound's Rapture3D sound engine by default.^[6]

A demo of the game was released on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace on 20 August 2009.^[7] The demo appeared for the PC on 29 November 2009; it features the same content as the console demo with the addition of higher graphic settings and a benchmark tool.^[8]

Trine is a side-scrolling action platform and puzzle video game, available for the PC and PlayStation Network. It was developed by the Finnish company Frozenbyte. The game was released on PC on July 3, 2009. The PlayStation Network version was to be released in July 2009, but last-minute bugs discovered in testing caused a delay.^[1] Eventually it was released on September 17, 2009 for the EU^[2] and on October 22, 2009 for North America.^[3] A version for Xbox Live Arcade is being developed by Atlus.^[4] Frozenbyte are working on a sequel.^[5]
