Allie turned 16! All of our friends here in PNG, helped us surprise her!

I have to say I like blogging on a PC than on a MAC.

MUDDY PAWS 5K

noreply@blogger.com (dooleysinpng) — Sat, 24 Mar 2012 20:11:00 +0000

We were looking for a 5K race on March 24th in the Spfg area. We found Muddy Paws, raising money for adoption of boxers and schnauzers. :) It was a trail race through the woods with many dogs and their owners. But what fun!

You had to have a dog to win a prize, so that took off all the pressure of winning since we were running dog-less. Mom and I ran the whole way! Yippee for us! What better way to celebrate than Andy's frozen custard?

Snow day.

noreply@blogger.com (dooleysinpng) — Tue, 14 Feb 2012 17:20:00 +0000

Well, if the teacher doesn’t feel well, 1/3 of the students have dentist appointments and there is an inch of snow on the ground, the it’s declared a snow day and school is cancelled.

Oh my stink! Olivia, after playing outside in the snow for 30 minutes, asks if she should wear tennis shoes? I say that would be good. She removed her crocs to reveal bare feet! What a missionary kid!

School daze!

noreply@blogger.com (dooleysinpng) — Thu, 09 Feb 2012 21:35:00 +0000

They might look happy in the photos, but despite our best efforts as teachers, there are tears every day, from at least some one!

Next furlough is during the summer. I will be so thankful to not have to do school work every day!

Time for the dentist!

We would like to remind you to visit your dentist every 6 months. It’s hard when you are gone for 2 years!

More fun with the Adams’ family!

Allie the quizzer

noreply@blogger.com (dooleysinpng) — Wed, 08 Feb 2012 18:19:00 +0000

Dear friends, The six teenage missionary kids (Allison Dooley, Quinton Schmelzenbach, Jessica and Ethan Myers, Josiah and Lydia Radcliffe) of Kudjip are preparing to Bible quiz at the national tournament at Olivet (Illinois) in July of this year. The books of study for this year are Hebrews and 1st and 2nd Peter. The kids have been studying intensely. This is an exciting opportunity for them to participate in a major youth event. They are going to be a great blessing to others and we are confident this will be a significant time in their lives. It is an expensive venture but we believe it to be a great investment in their lives. Round trip plane tickets will be more than $4,000 apiece. If you would like to support them in this, please consider sending a gift to Global Treasurer in Lenexa, KS, marked "Work of Scott and Gail Dooley, Bible Quizzing".
