doop used the flexibilty of the Joomla CMS system, which allows multiple template designs within one site to adjust the design for the HB Fundays section only.

See Change is Ireland’s new national partnership to reduce stigma and challenge discrimination associated with mental health problems. It is an alliance of organisations working together through the National Stigma Reduction Partnership to bring about positive change in public attitudes and behaviour towards people with mental health problems.

Congratulations to doop designed www.IrishDeafKids.ie for winning at the 8th Annual Ireland’s eGovernment Awards. At the awards ceremony in Dublin, IDK beat off stiff competition to win the Supporting Inclusive Education Category.

doop were asked to design and develop a simple wesbite for the company that would allow staff to update the website themselves. We decided to use the wordpress content management system which will also easily facilitate further expansion with image galleries, event calendars and online payment systems.

In July 2009 doop were contracted to build an online payments system for Tattersalls Ireland Limited.

Tattersalls bloodstock auctioneers hold 7 auctions per annum over 21 days selling 1000’s of lots from their complex in Ratoath, Co.Meath. Traditionally vendors selling lots would pay entry fees of lots at the sale by cheque. The ability to pay entry fees online would provide an alternative payment method for vendors.

Doop developed a bespoke entry system that captured all required details for multiple lots with a payments gateway to allow for the secure payment of the entry fees by credit card.

The business implication of this installation for Tattersalls means that vendors have more control and access to payments and entries. Also the system has been so successful Tattersalls now see 60% of entry fees are now paid online and this figure is growing with each sale.

The hidden benefit of this move to online payments is that Tattersalls have been able to shift payment terms from invoicing to upfront payments which, as any business knows this assists greatly with cash flow. Such is the volume of transactions through the new system, the company have been able to negotiate better gateway fees and are further driving down the cost of taking online payments.

There is of course a cultural shift in such systems, but satisfaction among vendors with the new payments method is universal.

Temple Street Children’s University Hospital commissioned doop to build the Route 66 Motorcycle Challenge Website. The motorcycle challenge has been running since 2002 and Temple Street Children’s Hospital and Irish 66ers are already preparing for their 5th trip down “the mother of all mother roads” in 2010.

The project included a website built around the wordpress publishing platform and a Discussion Board built around the Invision Powerboard system.
