We have added a new slideshow to the DC Projects Gallery from our recent trip to Door County, WI. The slideshow "Autumn Sailing" features images of a sailboat crossing the waters of Green Bay. The view is from a lookout at Peninsula State Park in Fish Creek. Check it out, both the view and autumn leaves are simply breathtaking.

We have added this spectactular image of the 9th Hole at the Alpine Resort Golf Course to our CPDupdate.com Golf Courses Gallery. Located in Egg Harbor, Door County, WI it features a panoramic view from atop the Niagara Escarpment overlooking Green Bay waters which highlights this magnificent finishing hole. Factoring in the more than 100-foot drop from tee to green, this short par 4 is reachable from the tee for most hitters, providing a reasonably outside chance for marking an albatross hole-in-one on your scorecard.

Just back from a very successful photo shoot our DoorCountystock.com team of photographers were in action this past weekend. From the small hamlet of Ephraim to Whitefish Dunes State Park we traveled up one side of the peninsula and down the other including 2 fish boils in between. Just a reminder to all of our DoorCountystock.com weblog fans that our photographers will be in Door County from May 17th thru May 20th. We do have an assignment shoot for a client, and will be participating in the Door County Maritime Museum annual Lighthouse Walk. The walk give lighthouse buffs a great chance to visit the lighthouses in person, especially those not usually open to the public. Also special walking and boating tours are offered. If you need any specialized photos of Door County or need any images of the many lighthouses in the area, please contact us.
We are pleased to announce that Lighthousestock.com photographer Mark R. Bertieri has won two awards in the 13th Annual Lighthouse Digest Photography Contest. Mark took two places in the "Best View of a Lighthouse in the Winter" category. His image of the Sherwood Point Lighthouse outside of Sturgeon Bay taken after a massive snowfall won 3rd place. Also his image of the Sturgeon Bay Pierhead Lighthouse taken with temperatures at 20 below with 20 mph winds won an Honorable Mention in the same category. The contest draws some of the best lighthouse photographers in the country. Congrats to Mark and check out out Door County Lighthouse Gallery for more images of the lighthouses on the Door County peninsula. Interesting enough, his image of the Rawley Point Lighthouse was awarded "Best in Show" in the contest last year.
