The most common concern when someone is selecting a new dog house is the proper size.

The question that we get asked the most is something like this:
We have a 80 pound German Shepherd what size house do we need?

As the dog owner you know your dog better than anyone so some important factors to consider are:
1. Is your dog overweight or tall/short for his or her breed?
2. How does your dog like to lay down? Some dogs prefer to stretch out completely while others may curl up.
3. Does your dog have any issues with their hips or are they older? This is important in regards to the door opening. Dogs naturally like to dip going into a shelter, however a dog suffering from hip issues is not going to appreciate that motion.
