Measuring a whopping 5,155mm in overall length, the SUV-inspired Grand Utility Vehicle comes with a 7 or 8 seater configuration and is longer than king-sized Japanese offerings such as the Toyota Alphard and Nissan Elgrand.

Already into its 4th generation, the new Kia Carnival spots an entirely new exterior design to its predecessors and is now equipped with a futuristic cockpit on the inside.

The Kia Carnival sold in Singapore will be powered by a 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine.

To cater to different family needs, the Kia Carnival has a Center Seat Long Sliding that provides a versatile seating combination.

There are also Smart Power Sliding Door, Remote One-touch Power Door & Liftgate, Power Tailgate and Get On/Off Puddle Light.

There’s no official pricing from Cycle & Carriage yet, but it will reportedly cost around $150,000 range with COE.

In Japan, Doraemon’s new movie Nobita’s Little Star Wars 2021 which was slated for release on 5 March has been postponed indefinitely due to the ongoing pandemic.

The new animated film is a remake of the 1985 movie of the same name that involves Doraemon and his friends against an alien threat from space and travels to a distant planet called Pirika.

Despite the delay, McDonald’s Japan collaboration with the future cat went on as planned, releasing eight Happy Meal Toys featuring Doraemon gadgets and characters from the new movie.

The toys, which came with Happy Meal purchases, were given away during a 2-week period in late March this year.

MUJI has recently launched their very own Compressed Pocket Coil Mattress and they have arrived in Singapore.

The Japan-based retailer, known for its minimalist furniture and lifestyle products, says the new mattress is comfortable yet offers solid support maintaining an ideal sleeping posture.

Customers will receive the mattress in its compressed compact form in a vacuum-sealed bag.

When opened, the air decompresses the mattress and returns to its original shape and size. It might take a while but MUJI says it can be used on the same day.

The mattress sizes ranged from Single ($269) to King ($569), which is relatively affordable compared to premium mattress brands.

Fred Perry UK has just released a new collection of Polo Shirts that stands out in the night.

Yes, it glows in the dark.

Yet it looks just like your regular Fred Perry Polo Shirt in daylight.

The new luminous collection is entirely made with the highest standards in Japan manufacturing, inspired by Tokyo’s bright light and neon signs.

In their own words, they are designed in a fine-cotton piqué, the outer tipping and Laurel Wreath are embroidered using glow in the dark thread.

There are a variety of colourways to choose from with choices of Polo Shirt (£90), Taped Ringer T-Shirt (£75) and Trim Track Jacket (£130).

IKEA has a new product that looks like a cushion at first sight but it’s actually a little more than that.

Called the FÄLTMAL, the fillings in the pillow cushion unravels into a large size quilt blanket after unzipping the side to reveal a secret compartment.

According to the Swedish furniture company, it is great for travelling (although most of us can’t at the moment), relaxing in a hammock or cuddling up on the sofa.

Which totally makes sense if you wish to keep your beddings and furnishings to the minimum.

It also comes with sleeves and a button fastener at the back so you can wear it conveniently like a suit and won’t fall off even when moving around the house.

Once you are done, it packs easily into a cushion again.

For the environmentally conscious, the FÄLTMAL cushion/quilt is made of 100% nylon fabric and its fillings from polyester – 80% of which comes from recycled material.

It is currently not available in IKEA Singapore but we sure hope they bring it in soon. In the USA, it is priced at US$34.99.
