Guns - it gives magic resistance just like Flesh Heap. I nearly have the same numbers, with Pudge's 4/8/12/16% and Orthos' 5/9/13/17%.

although the chances of getting all 5 are really low, reiva.
but bfury isn't that bad. i mean Void is one of the carries that can die hardly with time walk and backtrack. so 65 damage won't hurt at all.

If I recall correctly, within this thread someone mentioned something akin to a Blink-geddon, or something like that. Or I may have seen it elsewhere. Otherwise though it seems like item builds are just becoming a lot more flexible and innovative to the situation, shown by the MYM vs. Fnatic game.

But also, just thinking about it, first off, Blink isn't a terrible way to avoid a Dps hero, easy escape, fairly hard to find again at times. Though this could be mitigated if the opposing team has a Slardar because of his ultimate. Beyond that, and other sight giving items, wards are going to be playing an even greater role in my opinion.

Regardless of how you view it. If it's a Dps-geddon then their carries are going to require sight to avoid getting ganked. To counter this idea a team could send a courier into the opposing jungle, for instance, so that heroes who have BoT may be able to get around any sight wards give. Blink could even potentially get around the sight issue of the wards to get the carry. And a more obvious answer could just be counter-warding.

Nonetheless sight of the map and surrounding area seems to be very important when considering a Dps or Blink era. When teams can Blink in from the fog and take advantage of the surprise and get a teamkill or close to it then I'm confident that team will win.

Concerning Lanaya in that context, she conveniently has pseudo-wards in the form of her traps. I can't test it at the moment, but it would be interesting if heroes with BoT could teleport to these traps, or possibly to Weaver's Swarms. I would love to see a high level replay with Urna Swarms in the opposing jungle for a team of gank heroes to all port in.

A final note, if we are on the verge of a Dps-geddon, shouldn't Atropos be an even higher pick? He can shut down whoever it is protects the carry, make sure the carry does no damage, and use his ultimate on the other carry/semi-carry/next-highest threat.
