Now for my project....A Halloween layout made with the uber cool "Glowing" Collection

Where's the pictures you ask? I DIDN'T TAKE ANY!

GASP! This scrapbooker mom of 4 did not take one single picture this Halloween.

My 15-year-old dd told me I didn't care about the memories any more :(

So this 2011 Halloween layout is all about the memories that

"mom didn't care about"

some close ups

I used Charcoal and Mandarin Orange twine

and a helpful tip...if the white is too bright for your papers, you can use some Distress Stain or ink to make it have more of a cream tint...more miles for your buck!

Unity Stamp Company and Creative Imaaginations

Today I made two projects. my first is one of those wooden $1.00 frames from Michaels

I covered it with this beautiful flower paper and made me some rolled roses and added butterflies stamped from this set.

Currant ink from by Adirondak matches perfectly!

and in celebration of Breaking Dawn coming next week,

I made this fun "Bitten" Tag using some fun Marah Johnson

(Marah is one of my favs :) )

for my post today I got to use
"Ornate Artisians"
a fabulous set from Samantha with lots of fun shapes AND sentiments
and the dies that work with it are some of my favorites
all kinds of shapes and sizes! LOVE
I went a little clean and simple on my card, with some white and kraft, love that combination and am pleased with the effect :)

I just had to add that I LOVE how nice Unity stamps are cut out! I was able to eyeball the stamps and line them up almost perfectly (while standing) easier for me than stamping first!

You know I'm a doily lover so this set is PERFECT for me :)

I am so so excited about today's blog hop!

You all know I LOVE Unity stamps but I don't think

I've mentioned much before about my LOVE of the scor-pal.

I got my first scor-pal just after they came out, paid full price at Archiver's...and

I can tell you that honestly that it has been

WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

I never make a card without it, not to mention the ease of making boxes ect.

I also love it with boxes and shapes I cut with my cricut. you know how you get the little cut tic marks when you cut out something, just line those up with your scor-pal and it makes is SO easy!

I really really love my scor-pal and scor-buddy!

one of the BEST things ever invented. :)

now onto my project.

I decided to make some rosettes. LOVE me some rosettes :)

and the scor pal makes is so darn easy. You can make them small or REALLY big, it all depends on you.

One tip I have for when you want smaller ones. Score your paper first then trim in to 1 inch strips....much easier than scoring 1 inch strips.

also, 1/2 inch scores makes for a taller rosette than a 1/4 inch score ect.

punch edges before scoring, it's easier :)

Card uses 2 1/2 inch punched strips,

bag uses 1 inch strips.

I made this layout for the Pebbles Blog a few weeks ago,

and realized I hadn't shared it here.

Some fun pictures from my son's prom last spring (and yes, had to fix the date ;0)

I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

I didn't have the exact colors to match her dress

but I think the pink ended up complimenting it perfectly.

some Vintage Street Market goodies.

Vintage Street Market is a fairly new company but man, they sure know how to rock the vintage style!

I used two tags from this Kit,

stamped some doilies from this new Unity Set,

added some vintage lace

and tada!

the perfect presentation for my vintage button bobby pins :)

(I'll be making lots of these for an upcoming Holiday Fair I'm in :))

Sorry I've been such a bad summer blogger! We just got back from a road trip out to see family in Utah.

It's almost 1500 miles from here to there...

that's LOTS of family bonding in the van time :)

I'm happy to report that we all arrived there and back

without any serious injuries!!
