Better than .... Cake!

Hi! It's Megan again with a super yummy recipe. It's kind of like a better than sex cake, but I think it's even better! As a bonus, it is all homemade, while still being very easy to make. It would be a great cake to make for Valentine's Day, which is just around the corner. It's sure to impress any audience!

We will start with my Grandma Meier's No-Mix Chocolate Cake recipe. Yup. From scratch. You can do it! There are no eggs and no mixer involved in the making of the cake.

3 cups flour

2 cups sugar

1/2 cups cocoa

2 tsp baking soda

1tsp salt

1/2 package instant chocolate pudding mix

3/4 cup vegetable oil

1 tsp vanilla

2 tsp vinegar

2 cups warm water

Lightly mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, salt and pudding mix. Then add oil, vanilla, vinegar and water. Mix well but do not beat. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan and bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes until done. Cool.

Topping:

chocolate syrup

2 cups heavy whipping cream

1/2 cup sugar

caramel ice cream topping

Poke holes in the top of a cake- I use a butter knife. Drizzle chocolate syrup into the holes. Whip heavy whipping cream and sugar together until stiff, and spread on top of cake. Drizzle with chocolate syrup and caramel topping. Keep refrigerated. You can make this the day of, but I wouldn't make it any further ahead.

Without your encouragment and support for me and my designs.....I am not sure if I would still be designing today!

Day 5 is here!!! Are you trying to get your Christmas cards out? Have you had them printed yet? Maybe these cards will help you along your way. I am sharing with you today 4 4x6 card png's.....just slip your photo in and decorate with your greeting and you are on your way. Out of time? Then save your Christmas card for the beginning of the year and send out that greeting instead.

Here is an example of how I used one.

I don't know about any of you, but I was in a mad rush last night putting together some last minute gifts for work. Our last day at work is tomorrow....so I had to get them out today!! Here are 2 fun gifts I came up with.

Forgive the photography......the only window with any decent light....and not backdrop.
The first gift is hand soap and the tag reads: Wishing you a holiday season full of peace. joy and hope. The hope is crossed out and soap written underneath.
The second gift is Ande's Mints and the tag reads: Wishing you merri-mint and joy this Christmas.
I have duplicated these tags and put them on full 8.5x11 sheets for easy printing. Cut them out and attach to your gifts and you are set. Great gifts for co workers or neighbors too. I hope these ideas and tags will help you out this holiday season.
