Black Rain jailbreak utility, released by GeoHot, is the best program for performing an untethered jailbreak of Apple iOS 3.1.2 firmware. Unlike greenpois0n, which is used to jailbreak iOS 4 and above, some people prefer to stick with Apple’s older firmware for various reasons. Use it for your iPhone or iPod Touch.

A lot of users report missing dll files, such as asl.dll download required because it is missing from your computer. The solution to this problem is very easy and straightforward. Using the executable file from Geohot’s common Files located within the Program Files directory. This can vary depending on which version windows you are running:

Download blackrain iTunes missing ASL.dll

Windows 32bit: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support

Windows 64bit: 64 Bit – C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
