We do love our rumors and this new one on the details of the next Tomb Raider game from Eidos (oh, excuse us . . Square Enix) seems to lean on the side of legit (for now anyway). A web site called fourplayercoop.com claims to have a mole inside the development team that took some pictures of a monitor displaying some info on the latest Lara Croft adventure.

The alleged info shows off some concept artwork and details of the type of game that developer Crystal Dynamics is making. Supposedly the game will have Lara engage in an open-world style of action game on an island. The story is also supposed to reboot Lara’s origins because this game will be set early in her life and will show how she grew to be the hard-as-nails adventure babe. One other interesting fact from the screen grab; the untitled game is expected to get an “M” rating (all of the previous Tomb Raider games have had a more accessible “T’ rating).

The Nintendo Wii has quickly become one of the most sought after video game systems ever launched. Yep, it’s us. We are back again to give you a heads-up on the San Diego Comic-Con’s panel schedule for Saturday which was just revealed on the event’s web site. The highlights include a panel on DC Universe Online (with artist Jim Lee and writer Marv Wolf man in attendance) and a City of Heroes panel as well.

Other panels include looks at the upcoming WWII action game The Saboteur and the super hero action game Batman: Ark ham Asylum (with voice actors Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy attending). Console gaming fans will have a lot to look forward to as well with panels on Gears of War, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, a planned announcement on a new Darkness game and more.

That’s Swedish for “the slammer.” Bo Eriksson, lesser known for his role heading the failed portable called Gizmondo, more known for bizarre behavior including wrecked cars and arson threats, is headed there.

According to the translation from a Swedish radio Web site, Eriksson is looking at 1.5 years in the pen. Some of the charges against him were dismissed, but enough stuck to make a judge seize his passport to keep him from fleeing while the sentence is affirmed. Gizmondo’s history as a short-lived $400 handheld, which crashed in its parent company’s bankruptcy, has the added ignominy of being overshadowed by the man who killed it – Eriksson – whose wrecking of an illegally imported Ferrari Enzo back in 2006 is far more interesting than any of the 10 titles released for the platform.

Of course, Eriksson is such a charming rogue there’s been discussion of his story, and Gizmondo’s, heading to the big screen after a Wired piece on the fiasco was optioned. Prosecutors aren’t calling the verdict a complete success, but Eriksson thinks the 18 months are “very strict,” and his lawyer-mans is mum on word of an appeal.

Ultracade had a tortured organizational history going back to the 1990s but its cabinets were chic enough to be something of a luxury item among gaming cognoscenti.

There’s always someone out there wanting to build a better mousetrap. For PC gamers, there also someone out there wanting to give them a better way to control and handle their games. OCZ Technology thinks they have the solution with their just released Sabre OLED Gaming Keyboard.

The big feature in this new keyboard is the nine OLED buttons that you can see in the image. Those hotkeys can take any digital image and convert it to be projected onto one of those buttons and of course they can be configured to command shortcuts and macros for gaming purposes. The entire keyboard is also lit from below via LED lights for some nighttime gaming action. This puppy isn’t cheap; the price is a whopping $170.
