Hey folks I know I’ve been away for some time but I’m here and I’m better than before. So I was just surfing through the board and saw a lot of 5.16.05 unlock threads. I remember I wrote a guide almost two months ago and that works for people who have iPhone 3GS with baseband 5.16.05 but there’s a minor catch. Your iPhone 3GS must be manufactured before 35th week otherwise this won’t work for you.

The whole guide is pretty lengthy to repeat it over so you can just navigate to this link for a complete guide.

Admins please make it a stick for some days so that get to know more about this solution.

Hi all,,
Have an iPhone 4 , version 4.0 and BB 01.59 relying on ultrasnow for unlock

Made a custom FW by snowbreeze 2.91 and redsnow 0.9.10b5, entered PWNED DFU mode and tried restore with Itunes but ended with error 1600.
This error mean :
Custom firmware can’t be restored on a device with DFU Mode. Use Recovery Mode.

previously i have done many without any problem. i also tried recovery mode and ended with error 1604

How can i update a custom FW while preserving BB to 5.0.1 if iTunes does not update in PWNED DFU mode?

Any workaround to update to 5.0.1 while preserving BB?

No EDGE after changing IMEI and PIN

Hello All,

Please forgive me if this issue has been raised before

i have changed my imei and pin of an 8300 device (experimenting device) and replaced them with an imei and pin which i took from another BB (faulty) after loading the os every thing is fine but no EDGE is showing only small edge (unable to register BIS) although i have bis service enabled on my sim

here’s the breakdown of the steps i did:

1-Nuked the device using MFI multiloader (Done Successfully)
2- loaded VSM file to BB using MFI Multiloader to de-brand BB ((Done Successfully)
3- changed imei and pin using radio lab tool (Done Successfully)
4- loaded os to bb using app loader (Done Successfully)

after booting up the bb device everything was fine except for the small edge!!

Iphone 2g and Skype….

I have iphone 2g with version 3.1.3 I am unable to install skype.
I used wifi to install from app store but it gives tells to upgrade to 4.0 version.
I also tried by connecting my phone to pc itunes but there it also not accepting skype application. How to get skype on my iphone.
