Tell me a little bit about Hair-Less?

Hair-Less is a hair growth retardant. It slows down the growth of facial hair and makes hair much finer in appearance. It is made of a botanical complex that interferes with the hair growth cycle so that hairs stop growing and fall out much faster.

So the hair will fall out on its own eventually?

Yes, eventually is a good way to put it. It’s not like a hair removal or cream depilatory. Your hair won’t immediately fall out because it’s not injuring the hair, instead it is interfering with the some of the enzymes that are necessary for hair growth so that the hairs stop growing. It is about 80% successful to reduce facial hair.

Is Hair-Less permanent?

No, you have to keep using the product. If you stop using the product some hair may start to grow back again; but it is a wonderful alternative to lasers, electrolysis, and other options that can be both painful and costly.

Is it safe to use while receiving laser treatments?

Yes, if you have a lot of facial hair you can use this to supplement laser or electrolysis treatments.

Does using Hair-Less have any added benefits other than hair loss?

Yes, it has clarifying benefits. I have a number of patients who were getting hair bumps, a sort of breakout from ingrown hairs; they cleared up once they started using Hair-Less.

Were the hair bump breakouts due to using a razor?

No, not necessarily. Not every woman uses a razor, but sometimes hair can get lodged under the surface of the skin and you can get what appears to be a large bump or pimple.

What inspired you to create Hair-Less?

Many of my patients had unwanted facial hair, it’s very common and people are often shy to talk about it. Many female patients wanted to hide it from their loved ones. I saw it as a very common problem so I decided to make a product that was highly effective, highly affordable, and painless. There was also no other treatment on the market besides one prescription called Vaniqa, which is extremely costly – currently about $100 per prescription.

What’s unique about Hair-Less?

Hair-Less is really the only one of its kind on the market and it’s highly effective. We have done rigorous clinical testing and have seen great results.

What specialized ingredients does Hair-Less contain?

A botanical complex was made for Hair-Less, and many of these botanicals were brought in from Europe.

Were there any challenges when formulating Hair-Less?

Yes, I worked on this product for over a year and a half and it was quite difficult to make the product stable. I had to make sure the base we used wouldn’t cause acne when mixed with the other ingredients because many patients who have unwanted hair also have acne.

Was this product made specifically for one skin type?

No, not at all! This product is safe for all skin types.

What has been the initial reaction to this product by your customers?

It has been very good. It can take about 4–6 weeks to see results, but most people see a big improvement in about 2 weeks.

Is Hair-Less safe to use anywhere besides the face?

At the moment, we’re promoting this as a facial hair alternative but we are formulating a product for unwanted body hair.

Would you recommend this product for men?

We did try clinical testing on men’s facial hair but did not get the results we wanted. I would recommend this product for women because their hair tends to be finer.

Is there anything else about Hair-Less that you left out or would like to add?

I also wanted to mention that this product works wonderfully on people who have gray hairs as well as dark skin tones. Laser does not work on gray hairs because it works by attacking the dark pigment in the bulb or root of the hair. So if there is no dark pigment the laser will not work. Laser also doesn’t work well on darker skin tones.

Are there any other new products you are working on that we can expect to see in the near future?

I will say that right now we are finishing our final testing on a very effective skin tone evening product that will help with discolorations and age spots. You will be seeing that within the next 2-3 months.

We sat down with Taylor Walker, an actress, model, and professional dancer. She gave us a glimpse into her professional career and her experience using Dr. Loretta’s medical-grade skincare products.

What is your name? Profession?

My name is Taylor Walker and I am an actress, model and professional dancer.

How did you start using Dr. Loretta Medical Grade Skincare?

I moved to a warmer climate about two years ago and my skin went crazy. I visited multiple dermatologists in search of a solution and all I got was a handful of prescriptions. I’ve taken Tetracycline and Accutane, which is the absolute worst! It was a nightmare until I came in to see Dr. Loretta. She said, “No prescriptions! Let’s try it my way.” So I tried it and haven’t looked back! I haven’t popped a pill since.

What kind of results did you first notice when using these products?

The biggest improvement was my skin tone. I have a darker complexion and a buildup of dark spots; so those started to clear up right away. Overall, the texture of my skin improved and so did my skin tone.

How quickly did you notice these results?

Within weeks! I was skeptical because I always struggled with my skin, particularly acne. Although it was hard to stay optimistic when I looked in the mirror every morning, I stuck to my regimen and gave it to time to work. Before I knew it, I didn’t have to wear makeup everyday. What a relief!

Has anyone else noticed the improvements in your skin?

Yes! My makeup artist definitely noticed. I work with her on set and although I don’t see her everyday, I do see her about every other month. She asked me, “What are you using on your skin?” She couldn’t believe the results. My mom has also noticed. I see her every couple of months since I moved and she is blown away because she knows I have always struggled with acne.

What is your daily regimen using these products? Is it complicated?

No not at all. It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3. I start with the Duo Cleanse salicylic wash, then an at-home peel using glycolic gel called Clear Slate, and then a Clarifying Moisturizer to help with dry skin.

Besides using the acne products, have you had any specialized professional treatments in the office?

I do the monthly Pro-G peel and it’s amazing! I went abroad for three months for my wedding and honeymoon and couldn’t wait to get back and do it again. I just see such great results in conjunction with the medical grade skincare; it’s been wonderful. Not having to take any medication is even better!

Is there a lot of down time and peeling when you get the Pro-G Peel? What’s your experience?

There’s no down time. Although it’s always sunny where I live, I just use UV moisturizer protection everyday and I’m good to go.

About what age were you when you began breaking out?

It all started when I was in high school when my hormones really started to change. I struggled because I was always dancing and moving so I was always sweaty. It was either hormonal or a combination of the sweat and makeup. That combo was lethal for my skin.

Did the breakouts continue into adulthood? Did it ever stop?

I’m 29, and the only time my breakouts stopped was when I took Accutane; but that caused stomach problems. My doctor was so quick to prescribe medication. All I wanted was for my skin to clear up because I was always on camera. At the time, I wanted a quick fix and I regret that decision. But now that I have control over it, it’s the best feeling in the world!
