I had a great time showing off K-2SO and encouraging the students in their own projects. Wouldn’t be surprised if some of them become members in a few years.

Finalist - Ultimate Online Cosplay Championship 2020

So excited! K-2SO was selected as a finalist for the 2020 Ultimate Online Cosplay Championship! This is an online Cosplay contest that will happen this Saturday, 30th May, at 5p Pacific, where many Cosplayers from all around the world will compete and show their work.  This sounds like such a fun time. I cannot wait to see the amazing creations that have been made worldwide! And the judge's panel is made up of some of the best out there! While I did not place, just being one of the 25 Intermediate finalists out of 230 submissions is huge.

The best part of the #ultimateonlinecosplaychampionship was getting to hear the judges talk about my K-2SO puppet. Seeing all of their eyes light up was so rad. I can tell that Sammy really wants to meet him someday. It was nice to be recognized for a different type of costume and the unique challenges it presents.

I had a lot of fun playing host for Thomas and Esma as they shared about their incredible build of The Swedish Falcon I kept calling myself Ed McMan. They answered a ton of questions about their process and the challenges of building something to match the films. Here's a video of the whole live stream.

A group from the 501st suited up virtually to bring some Star Wars joy to a young autistic boy during the COVID-19 quarantine. I only had to put on the top half of my Stormtrooper armor which let me sit comfortably in front of a Death Star corridor virtual backdrop.

During the Covid-19 Coronavirus isolation, some Star Wars characters came together to make the lunch pickup special. A hundred cars passed by as the kids saw their teachers for the first time in months. #togetherapart “This is the Way”.

Almost 200 characters marched down the 3 miles of the annual Hollywood Christmas Parade. Including the Mandalorian Mercs for the first time! I melded into the middle of the pack in my Imperial Officer. We had a dozen this year!
