The Chair King quest issue has been resolved and players should be able to obtain the medal if they qualify.

The Gold Richie event will begin on 11.23.2010. Collect the items needed to create the Golden Compass to gain access to Gold Richie's Treasure Island!

Whether you’re a fan of huge, hulking, stone giants; sinister, lithe femme fatales; awesome, mighty warriors; or aberrant, horrific creatures, we try to represent them all under one roof. And while we’re on the subject of aberrant, horrific creatures, allow me to give you a glimpse of our next champion. Meet Trundle, the Cursed Troll. He’s hideous, and very possibly diseased, so he wanted me to let you know that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. Unless, of course, that cover is snarling and wielding a club. Then you might be onto something.

Author's Note: Wow I am excited for this new champion! I can't wait to see what skills Riot plans to implement that would work for a troll :D (probably will have something to do with his large rock sword)

Happy Monday, Summoners! Before you head off to have a happy (and delicious) Thanksgiving later this week, check out some of the scrumptious new skins now available. The Armordillo is ready to roll out as the king of fire and ice. First came Molten Rammus, and now Freljord Rammus is bringing a chill to the Fields of Justice. Catch a glimpse of Xin Zhao back in his pit fighting days with the Viscero Xin Zhao skin. And you might have guessed that Hot Rod Corki had a bit of help on that sweet copter. Well, you can thank Piltover Customs Heimerdinger for that one (and don’t miss his new turrets, now with more horsepower!).

Since the start of Season One, League of Legends has been featured in some of the largest and most prestigious eSports events in the world such as the Alienware Arena, Electronic Sports League, and the World Cyber Games. We’ve heard your pleas for more,and we’re here to deliver. Season One will present a League of Legends circuit filled with community-run tournaments and events, swag giveaways, and a $100,000 grand prize championship. It all begins … now.
Whether you’re a pro, a player, or an event organizer, Season One offers you a chance to be a part of the action and participate in a wealth of League of Legends events. Throughout 2010 and 2011, Riot Games eSports staff will be officially sanctioning League of Legends competitive events ranging from newly organized tournaments put on by community members to established Online and LAN competitions. You can find out the details of each and every event by checking out our Competitive Play section. Whether it’s the glory, the camaraderie, or the cold, hard cash that drives you, all summoners are welcome to participate and compete!
Every sanctioned event, both online and in-person, will be assigned a point value, allowing participating teams to climb the rankings towards placement in the Season One Finals. Teams will be ranked based on the points they earn over the course of the circuit, and the top ranked teams in each region (North America, Europe, China, and South East Asia) will be invited to the end of Season One tournament; competing against the best in the world for their share of the $100,000 grand prize pool. The Prophecy

From the oldest scrolls crumbling into dust, in the most hidden libraries of Maple World, the ancients tell of the secret prophecy of the Black Mage. The Black Mage is not vanquished, he is not gone, they say. He merely awaits his opportunity to return and conquer.

The Black Mage defies reason, sustained by his rage. For too long the Black Mage has lain dormant, seething in his own hatred and delighting in his vision for the ruin of Maple World. The ancient prophecy warned that this day would come.

It was not heeded.

The First Rise and Fall
    “The Black Mage was born as other men, child of a mother and father who loved him, citizen of a
   peaceful town filled with friendly prosperous citizens. Few remembered the preternaturally bright
   child who would grow into a brilliant young man, eager to delve into the secrets of magic. Some
   saw the arrogant temperament, impatience, and a ready anger that he unleashed with little
   provocation, but the black hole at the center of his soul that might have foreshadowed what he
   would become was hidden from their sight.

   The first reign of the Black Mage began as many tyrannies did – with a call for change. The Black
   Mage saw the chaos in Maple World and believed that the people could not be trusted to make
   their own decisions. He felt that they needed a benevolent king to control every aspect of their
   lives and he rose to power using noble ideals such as peace and freedom. The people believed
   his words and embraced his voice. Soon, they found the only peace offered by the Black Mage
   was the peace of the grave and the only freedom was freedom from responsibility that marks a
   slave. The reign of the Black Mage was unprecedented in its cruelty, all done in the name of the
   greater good.

   In time, Maple World fought back. Heroes great and small struggled against the Black Mage. The
   Black Mage battled against them mightily, screaming all the while that these ungrateful children
   did not understand his genius and rejected his wisdom. In time, he descended into madness,
   deciding if the world would not accord him the obedience and worship that is his due, it would have
   to be destroyed. The last battles against the Black Mage exacted a terrible price from Maple
   World but he was at last defeated, though heroes such as the Polearm-wielder and the Dragon
   King sacrificed mightily for the safety of the world.”
The Sufferings of Maple WorldIn the years that followed, many of the Black Mage’s minions worked in ways both gross and subtle to bring about his return. Dedicated to the evil man they believed would one day return to help them rule, scourges such as Pink Bean, Horntail, and the Dragon Riders plagued the countryside, presaging the coming of their dark master.

Fortunately for the good people of Maple World, those of good will responded. Explorers and Cygnus Knights beyond number battled against all manner of evil monsters. Great heroes from the past returned and a new Dragon-friend rose to lead the fight.

The Heart of DarknessAlas, it is said that those who struggle for right shall fail. In time, the Black Mage will return. Yet the villains who work for such an end are the greater fools. They believe that the Black Mage returns to place them as the new ruling class that will dominate Maple World but the “Black Mage” that they long for will be gone. What they bring back will be a darkness beyond anything they can imagine.
The Black Mage has spent the long years after his defeat in a place beyond light, beyond time, beyond mercy. He has planned his vengeance not just on the people of Maple World, but on all of existence. When he returns, all of creation will feel the lash of his wrath.

The Big BangFrom the Prophecy:

   Know ye this if you would recognize the time of the Black Mage’s return. In a small town otherwise
   hidden from the world, a secret cabal will raise the thing that used to be the Black Mage and bring
   it back into the world. The day of his coming shall never be forgotten. At his arrival, all of
   existence shall wink out, and when it returns, nothing will be the same.

   This event shall be forever called the “Big Bang.”

   Maple World will be changed. Some changes will be subtle. Monsters that were once weak will
   grow strong. Others that were strong shall grow weaker. The powers of magic shall change. Spells
   that are commonplace will no longer work and the heroes of Maple World will display abilities
   never before seen. The world and its cities and towns will move, familiar landmarks will disappear
   or be altered beyond recognition, and new lands will arise to be explored. It will be the Maple
   World we love – but everything will be different.

A New Champion Approaches: Irelia, The Will of Blades!

Abilities:

Bladesurge: Irelia dashes forward to strike her target. If it kills the target, Bladesurge's cooldown refreshes and half the mana cost is refunded.

Hiten Style: Irelia is skilled in the art of Hiten, passively giving her physical attacks health restoration. Activating Hiten Style adds true damage to her physical attacks for a short duration.

Equilibrium Strike: Irelia's attack balances the scales, dealing damage and slowing the target. However, if the target has a higher Health % than Irelia, then the blow stuns the target instead.

Transcendent Blades (Ultimate): Irelia summons four spirit blades which she can fling at her enemies. These blades deal magic damage to enemies that they pass through, siphoning life from them and healing Irelia.

Ionian Fervor (Passive): Each nearby enemy champion (to a maximum of three) reduces the effectiveness of Crowd Control on Irelia.

Well looks like this champion will be a combo of AP+DPS just Kennen & Kat.

Basilmarket.com has a bunch of Tespia testers, therefore a lot of information is being given away. It looks like bigfoot is going to get nerfed in the upcoming patches and going to be easier to kill. But still give the same amount of exp! How awesome is that.

It also looks like this year's Christmas events are going to be a blast! 30 golden stars for a white scroll and 24 for a chaos scroll! Wow! But I imagine that these "Golden Stars" are going to be hard to get your hands on! Since so little of them are required to cash in those epic scrolls! Gaming computers come in all shapes, sizes, and prices. The gaming industry is growing every year and has become big business, so the need for gaming computers has grown along with it. As games become increasingly detailed and graphics oriented, the demand for faster and more powerful has become more of a necessity than an option.

With the increased demand comes a higher price tag. That being said, if you are in the market for a gaming computer, read on as we take a look at your for the perfect gaming computer for you and how you can save some cash.

When buying a gaming computer or any computer for that matter it is important to determine how much you are willing to spend and how good of performance you want.

Gaming computers can range in price from $600 to $7,000+ and come with a variety of options. But whether you buy a low-end gaming computer or a high-end gaming computer there are ways to save yourself some money.

You basically have three options when it comes to buying a gaming computer. You can buy a pre-built computer right of the shelf, or internet. You can have someone build your gaming computer to your liking, with the hardware that you choose. Or you can build it yourself. All three of these are viable options, and of course each have their upside and downside.

Buying a pre-built, of the shelf computer is by far the the fastest and easiest route to take. When buying a gaming computer this way you will have access to tech support in case you run into problems with your system. Your computer should also be covered by the warranty for a certain amount of time if something was to break. There are however a few downsides to buying a pre-built computer. You will almost certainly pay more for less. Also you will be extremely limited in choices on the hardware that you want.

You can save yourself some money by having someone build your gaming computer for you. Going this route will provide for greater flexibility in your choices on hardware and can have your gaming computer customized to your specifications. Having a computer built for you will take longer than buying a pre-built one and all though it will be cheaper than buying a pre-built computer, will still be more expensive than your third option, your own.

Yes it's sad but true. Personally I don't know why Jagex did this, but I'm sure they have their reasons.
I suppose the holiday drops and rare items show how long that someone has been playing, so you can show them off as an achievement. Or perhaps they don't like the fact that some people (Smart people) will hoard loads of holiday drops for themselves, them from anyone else that has them, or starting bogus accounts and collecting holiday drops, then when the holiday drop event is over and it's not longer possible to get them, the hoarder would charge a TON of money for each one. Since they're no longer available, people will pay big money for them.

Personally I don't think that it's a horrible thing, but it does present people with an opportunity to collect large ammounts of gold and sell it on ebay for example, that's a bad thing as it's against the rules and encourages people to use auto miners etc to gain gold.

Okay, now that we've established a bit of background on the rare items in runescape, it's time to get down to the specifics of a few of the more popular holiday drops.

The most commonly talked about runescape rare item is the party hat, sometimes called phats for short. They come is 6 different colours, red, yellow, blue, green, white and purple.
Pretty bad graphics by it's one of the rare items in runescape and presumably it's value will constantly increase.

Another rare item is the santa hat. This was a christmas holiday drop in 2002. Again, very rare and highly priced. Not sure about how much it costs compared with the party hats.

And finally, the last tradeable runescape rare item holiday drop that I'm going to talk about, is the halloween masks. As far as I know there were only 3 colours and other than that, they looked exactly the same. It could have been picked up on halloween 2002.

In 2003 and beyond, holiday drops were made to be no longer tradeable, and will never be tradeable for the forseeable future. So if you want holiday drops you'll have to either shell out massive sums of money for the old ones that are tradeable, or wait until the next holiday event to be able to get your own, for free of course :) I hope that has helped you gain a bit of insight into the world of rare items and holiday drops in runescape. Canadians possibly killed in Mexico hotel blast

Six people are reported dead after an explosion at a resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and there are unconfirmed reports that three of them may be Canadians.

As many as 15 people were hurt after an apparent gas explosion Sunday in the boiler area of the Grand Riviera Princess Hotel in the tourist region known as the Mayan Riviera.

News that Canadians may be among the victims comes from Quintana Roo state Attorney General Francisco Alor.

Canadian consular officials are at a local hospital where at least some of the injured were taken.

Earlier reports said more than 60 Canadians were guests of the hotel.

The Mexican news agency SIPSE said a gas tank exploded and that several employees suffered burns.

Pete Travers is staying at the hotel with a group of Canadians from Waterloo, Ont. Travers, news director of 570 News Radio in Kitchener, Ont., said he heard a very loud crash and rushed out of his room to find the glass windows of a hotel restaurant had been blown out.

Travers said he heard the blast was a gas explosion, but hotel staff have not made any official announcements yet.
