T____T this is why i can't ever stop blogging no matter how behind i am. i also really need to clear some space on my phone so here i go again

JULY

Tuesday the 20th

i felt like oojoo needed a better play companion so i started thinking about getting him a brother. it just so happened that this was also when another cattery i had reached out to got back to me. they had given all their kittens away by then but knew someone else who had kittens coming. when i reached out to them they had two left, and there was a possibility that someone was going to take both. the kittens:

i was really hoping for this one if the first person was only going to take one. and that's what ended up happening! everything just lined up perfectly and he kinda fell into my lap so i named him comet!

went to pick him up this day!

Oojoo Being the Cutest Kitten in the World

2022-09-19T08:41:00.001-05:00

I can't believe I've had this tab open for a year!! I just accept the fact that I will always be behind on posting no matter how much time I have. But now that I get a lot of down time at work, I will definitely start getting back into playing catch up.

Anyways~ This was June!

Tuesday the 1st

Basking in the Oojoo glory. I miss his kitten days so much ༶ඬ༝ඬ༶ Why can't they mature mentally and poop-ally but stay that small and cute!?

Oojoo purrito looks like an albino bat

I just love tiny little beings snuggled up next to me. He's Mr. Independent now sigh..

He was so soft and curly at this time T_T

Becca came over to meet him and was in love

Wednesday the 2nd

My little fuzzy alien growing bigger every time he sleeps

The tude!

Already bigger than my foot in such a small span of time what the heck!

The kicker finally getting some use

The cutest when sleeping

Unrolled himself

I don't know what is more calming and precious than baby animals napping on you T___T

^_^

Thursday the 3rd

I don't know why he likes that particular area of the curtain. He still likes chewing on that very part months later.

The perfect size to be a cat scarf without choking me.

Trying to get one decent picture together. Still don't have one to this day.

First selfie

He loved to flip upside down

My heart

Cozy with gramma

I can't

I just can't with his gaze

Friday the 4th

Waking up with kitten is a blessing

I miss how much he slept lol

He's outgrown chasing his tail and kicking himself in the head now

My baby

Saturday the 5th

Sleeping with his now deceased chirpy bird

TOO CUTE ♡(ŐωŐ人)

Trying out one of those automated toys. Oojoo was both intrigued and scared.

Poor baby came to me with chlamydia so his eyes needed treatment for the first month.

Monday the 7th

I wish he was still this cuddly all the time.

Seeking any heat source.

Tuesday the 8th

He loves snuggling with gramma on her heated stone couch.

Wednesday the 9th

How do they not suffocate sleeping like this?! (ಡ艸ಡ)

His nose was stuffy so I got out the humidifier.

*coming back to this a month after I opened it the third time to finish writing this* ｡(*^▽^*)ゞ

Friday the 11th

Always looking either evil or angelic.

So angelic ｡ﾟ( ﾟஇ‸இﾟ+)ﾟ｡

Saturday the 12th

Baby Jon Snow

Sunday the 13th

It's so funny to see how far cats' heads can go back or turn when they're grooming. I wish Oojoo still made biscuits as often as he used to.

Blending in perfectly

Monday the 14th

A sleepy purrito

An angry? purrito

A sleeping burrito

Tuesday the 15th

Already growing into that awkward kitten tween phase!

(੭ ˃̣̣̥ ω˂̣̣̥)੭ु⁾⁾ I CANT

Wednesday the 16th

OMG HOW CAN HE BE SO CUTE!?!??!! ฺ(☼Д☼)

He loved this beauty pillow lol

His little belly T__T and his little squeakkk T______T

Falling asleep in the funniest ways

Oojoo's attempt at typing his name. Pretty good!

I was always excited when he used the cat condo. It was a huge relief he liked it cause I really liked it haha.

Glad he isn't interested in wires anymore unless they move.

He's big enough to climb to the second story!!

Friday the 18th

Always so curious and climbing into my desk.

My tiny gremlin

Coming out of his cave

Saturday the 19th

His favorite toy. Kitten coordination has him kicking his own head ahaha

Mom and I tried a healthier pizza

Monday the 21st

Anna, Angelica, Janet, Ronnie, and I gathered at Garcia's. It was nice to see everyone after it had been so long.

Anna getting drunk as usual and Oojoo playing fetch with me after I got back home.

Tuesday the 22nd

Yes I do have to take a picture every time he uses the condo. He was probably sleeping and woke up when I got close.

Wednesday the 23rd

I had to do a tape but also had pink eye and couldn't put on eye makeup so I tried the graphic liner trend.

I liked how it turned out so documenting ensued.

Stank eye Oojoo

I love seeing his little body curled up in his condo (๑♡3♡๑)

He was old enough for catnip so I got him a new toy

Thursday the 24th

The best feeling

I tried putting cat tv on for him but he couldn't figure out where the sounds were coming from (♡´艸`)

Friday the 25th

Silently squealing and taking a picture every time I walk by.

I SIMPLY CANNOT DEAL

Saturday the 26th

I don't understand how he can sit like that but I love it.

Sunday the 27th

Those ears and those clouds are a dream come true

Always surprising and cracking me up every time I look back. I don't know how he never rolled off.

Monday the 28th

New toy! Scared but also intrigued

New speaker! Not interested

Tuesday the 29th

Only after moving far away, I tried Village Creamery. It was as good as people said. Should have gone a decade ago!

Wednesday the 30th

Oojoo tired of my antics

He loves being in tight spaces

Then he just fell asleep in there!! AHHH!!!! (♡´❍`♡)*✧ ✰ ｡*

Last sleeping picture of the month. My tmj is getting worse exponentially cause my cute aggression cannot handle. I'll take it though.

Woohoo! I finally finished June 2021!

meeting Oojoo

2021-05-31T21:53:00.001-05:00

Saturday the 1st

Jose was visiting so we got lunch to eat in the park.

Monday the 3rd

Jonathan was also in town so we got Paradise Pup and hung out at home for a bit.

It happened again!! I won the most mini games and still lost because Jonathon kept getting lucky with the star position!

Saturday the 8th

My insomnia had come back and so I stayed up texting people. It looked really cute out every hour or so.

Reminder to not shatter my iphone camera because it will have 0 trade in value T__T

The window on the opposite wall looked cute too.

Sunday the 9th

Tina Burner would be proud.

I had her change pants.

Monday the 10th

Tried another new meh breakfast place after running errands.

This has to be a Korean person ahaha

Friday the 14th

I finally wore this sweat set and it's honestly one of the best things I've ever bought. I wish I had better outerwear for spring weather though.

Lol attempting to figure out how to take an outfit picture in my room.

Monday the 17th

I remember thinking I'd use all my stationary stuff in college when I was young. It'll probably take me another ten years.

Really trying to use my very old stickers up. It's been fun!

Wednesday the 19th

Wore these Spao overalls for the first time! I got them the last time I was in Korea in 2015 and they're definitely too small.

Had an awesome dinner with Tak. It was my first time really sitting down and eating at a good restaurant since the pandemic started!

Thursday the 20th

Hung out with Ed

He made the best omelet I've ever had with his home grown spinach!

Saturday the 22nd

Went on a date and had the best Jamaican food. Then we were given a ton of extras from Molly's!

What are those vehicles called??? I want to ride one in one of these groups one day.

Sunday the 23rd

At a drive thru in Paxton, Il. Would also like to take a joy ride in one.

I drove 133 miles to get this little guy!!! My Oojoo! I was surprised at how tiny he was. He was the size of my foot when I first got him.

He gave everything a try.

The first time he climbed on! It took four hours for him to warm up to me.

The first time he fell asleep on me.

First time on the bed

Tiny!

I was trying so hard to get one good picture. This is the one. And as of 5/30 still the only one haha

He actually went in the hammock!

He's a silly monkey

The first time he got on my back. Slowly crawling up

And then falls asleep T___T

He loves to be on chests and shoulders

Monday the 24th

Hahaha cats' flexibility is too amusing.

Finding all his favorite nap spots.

I don't know how they got such a good picture

Sweet mode

Tuesday the 25th

Expanded to the rest of the apartment and he found another favorite hidey hole.

How is their balance so good

Wednesday the 26th

This could have been a good picture

It's crazy how fast they get sleepy

Poor guy has had to ride in the car every day since he got here. Good thing he likes his carrier.

Thursday the 27th

His favorite cat yoga pose

Making friends with gramma

He just kept readjusting his sleeping position until he just completely slipped out lol

He makes my mom and I laugh everyday.

I chose delivery first but it seemed like such a waste because the place is 3 minute drive but a 20 minute walk....

Saturday the 29th

I was taking at least one picture a day since the kitten stage is so short but I somehow forgot the previous day.

To think she used to dislike cats.

I'm pretty sure he has allergies and he loves crawling into every crevice so I think the dust infected his eye. I got a cone to prevent him from rubbing his eyes and didn't know this was not the way to put it on lol.

It was too long for him to walk right >_<

So mad but so cute

Realized late that I could help him walk a little better. Better but the edges would keep getting caught on the sides of things XD

Sunday the 30th

His eyes make him look evil all the time I love it hahaha

My mom said he was sun tanning ahaha

Zonked out after the stress of his first bath.

Genius

How is this comfortable?

Purfect fit

Today:

Same angle, different cat. He is so cute but much like his mom, is not so photogenic.

I love looking up and seeing him there >w<

This post was so rushed. I'm going to try writing weekly to make this easier on my motivation and maybe even my mood since journaling is supposed to be good for you. Hopefully that makes my posts better as well.

Someplace Warm

2021-05-09T19:10:00.003-05:00

I really let April just pass by like that but I really needed that break of doing absolutely nothing after a month of everything. I love bursts of intense activity and then hibernation...kind of like my blogging style haha!

March:

Tuesday the 2nd

Jonathan's phone always gives him trouble when he's self taping. He looked particularly funny this time in the way he sulked.

Saturday the 6th

Mom's new glasses were finally ready and she looks so cute in them!

Thursday the 11th

The beautiful conclusion to a six hour drive to Port Austin, Michigan. (๑°o°๑) SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL! A perfect setting for the first time I would be interacting with a group of people in a year and make a new quarantine bubble. It was so crazy finally meeting people I had been talking to on zoom for months as well as people I hadn't known at all prior to that day.

You could never get tired of this view.

Sam, Joyce, and I got into a perfect rhythm and noticed how mechanically cool it looked ahaha

The lake house looked warm and inviting but my broken camera made it look spooky.

Linh and Jewells. The first night.

Friday the 12th

Everything about this place and experience was so surreal to me. Down to the ice outside while I was cozied by the fire. Wild.

My beautiful Joyce's back

Some of what happened at rehearsal. That we had an entire WEEK of! BLESS. (●⌒∇⌒●) I wish all on camera stuff did this. They should! To think of how much more amazing work would come out of it. Just actually getting to know each other before pretending to have history after someone calls "action."

Hahaha so glad everyone was on top of sharing their pictures at the end of every day. All the good pictures or ones I'm in were taken by Joyce, Quinn, and Linh. I really didn't take pictures this trip because EVERYONE was and they all actually know how to take them. I'm a little glad I got to relax in that way and also shave down on blogging time hehe.

Our rehearsal room was where Joyce, Quinn, and I stayed the first couple nights. So cute. But SO COLD. ~(>_<~) I will never miss having to wear the same three layers weekly.

Saturday the 13th

Another one of the many bedrooms. Everything was so lovely and a lot of things were made or painted by Jake's grandparents.

View of the house from the beach.

Seeing this picture is a little crazy to me because in the next week, all the ice is gone. We were standing on top of where the water is.

Always a view. ୧༼✿ ͡◕ д ◕͡ ༽୨

The dd duo

ALWAYS.

The beans were bomb. Probably my favorite beans I've ever had. Thank you Uncy George~

Blessings to all people who cook for other people. I would die without y'all. (●♡∀♡))ヾ☆*。

Sunday the 14th

I love when Linh dances. Good thing she does it a lot hahaha

Quinn is a vitamin fairy. She's always collecting stuff and making them into art. She's everyone's favorite person. (°◡°♡).:｡

We moved into our airbnb that night. Joyce and I were supposed to share a room with bunk beds. We were surprised by how tiny it was haha. Luckily, Sam didn't like the bed in his room and opted for the couch. Quinn liked the bunk bed room so Joyce took Quinn's room and I took Sam's. It looked like a murder room and the blinds could never be opened but I'm glad it all worked out ahaha!

Monday the 15th

So many questionable decorations in the house we stayed at.

I never want to see Coke Zero ever again.

Glad to know I'm not the only person who likes stupid mobile games.

It was taking a while for the projector to get figured out so Quinn and Erik entertained everyone.

Tuesday the 16th

Love a lakeside deck.

We visited the lighthouse we were going to shoot at.

Big props to Erik who is scared of heights!

It was so cool and something I'd never get to experience otherwise.

Lots of work though aha

The museum part

The guys were fans of Lighthouse Larry

Top to bottom

Harbor next

She's seriously a ray of sunshine

Linh, Jewells, and Meg came to look at our lamps and enjoy a show.

Wednesday the 17th

"We all look so bad." - Joyce (ᗒᗜᗕ)՛̵̖

We had the brilliant idea of watching Beyonce's Homecoming while eating dinner.

Thursday the 18th

Our enemy that month was the wind.

We had dino nuggies but no sauce so we asked Jewell's to drop ketchup off because we totally forgot we could just drive to their house ourselves and she did ahaha!!

Me always forgetting my camera is broken and can't take photos at night.

Friday the 19th

*O* every day

Every hour

Some post dinner wrasslin.

"Huweh?"

Saturday the 20th

One of several big dead fish we'd see.

I like how I'm always taking a picture from the same spot aha

Ahahahaha I'm so sorry Quinn!!

I was loving the waves and the ripples they made in the sand.

It was my first time going down to the beach so I was completely surprised when I turned around to go back up!

Great stars that night too.

They're all made with super cool materials too!

Sigh...

So cool!

Omg lol

Sky and water man...

Sunday the 21st

They all did amazing feeding all 17 of us. Delia hadn't cooked before this!!

I don't know how but everyone there was so funny ٩̋(๑˃́ꇴ˂̀๑)

Monday the 22nd

If only the weather could have been like that the whole time...

Tuesday the 23rd

Our first overnight. We discovered George was a kpop stan. So we kept up the energy with a marathon of music videos!

Wednesday the 24th

Our first day off! The weather was godly. Even the thunderstorm! I couldn't stop recording the sky because it was constantly changing and so so beautiful!! This place is unreal.

A sandbar appeared that day!

I lived in a blanket my entire time there.

Before the storm. It was so crazy. It became completely silent, thunder rolled, the air moved, and then all the animals went crazy in a wave. Even if I can't see the picture in my head anymore, I will never forget all the naturistic things made me feel here. (๑°o°๑)

I got my camera out too late to capture Adam running up in the rain all picturesquely but it was still such a pretty moment.

As if reading my mind, Adam brought out a rocking chair so I had a really nice time sitting and watching everyone.

I love this picture

Quinn walked over in her "rain jacket" hahaha!

Space princess returning home.

Dance party on top of the boat house

David is a good DP and DJ

Ooh Meg looks in it

Just...how...

And then a different view from our house.

I LIVE

(*⌒∇⌒*)

A perfect end to an amazing day. Quinn cooked dinner that was sooo good and I still think about it. ( ๑ ❛ ڡ ❛ ๑ )❤

Thursday the 25th

Checked out the barn. Joyce catching Linh turning into a turtle is also one of the best things I've ever seen ahaha!

I don't know how they scouted this place but good on them.

Aww Quinn made a plank stand in for Joyce since she was taking the picture haha!

Friday the 26th

Always freezing. Poor Joyce, she came from LA!

Thankful that Jake's house is filled with great blankets.

Saturday the 27th

Pre overnight dancing

Monday the 29th

The embodiment of our relationship irl and in the film.

Wednesday the 31st

Quinn, Joyce, Erik, and I did some light hiking on our day off.

Quinn brought her drone out.

Oh Quinn

Crazy how different it always looked outside.

April:

Thursday the 1st

We had an unexpected snow day and canceled the shoot!

The sun showed up later like nothing happened of course.

Michigan for ya.

Friday the 2nd

Barn shoot day

I really wish I remembered what they were talking about here ahaha

Okay I would have Jewell's buffalo dip with Hawaiian rolls as one of my last meals holy shit this dinner was so good!!! (◉۝◉)

Not so photogenic though...

Friday the 3rd

Someone's gotta chop that wood

Sunday the 4th

My first time catching the Michigan sun rise.

My last freezing scene. No more burning my boob with Hot Hands... T___T

Monday the 5th

Shot the lighthouse scene. We actually got to stand on the top outside!! It was so nice and refreshing! Mad about forgetting my phone at home that day...

Everyone but Erik and I wrapped.

Sorry about the ugly pictures but refuses to stop.

Tuesday the 6th

Erik and I finally shot our cursed scene and wrapped at like nine that morning! We opened some beers before ten and just basked in the fact that WE FINISHED SHOOTING THE MOVIE!!! ೕ(⁍̴̀◊⁍̴́ฅ) It was such a wild journey and the weather/house/everything was constantly throwing wrenches but we still got everything done and only had to pick up that one scene.

Perfect embodiment of everyone's feelings

Perfect weather only showed up on our big free days and I'm perfectly okay with that.

The minds behind the story

She claimed one of Quinn's looks

Caught a cute moment between Dan and Dave on the way to leave. We needed to rest before coming back with everyone for the wrap party.

She had like 10 outfit changes that day.

Finally went in the water to get to *~The Rock~*. It was FREEZING and painful.

I needed Linh to hold my phone lol. It was scary getting up and even scarier getting down!

Trying to figure out how everyone carved their names into the rock.

Little Linh made it up!

We came so far! Our time was cut short though because we could see a storm coming and so all but three of us started panicking about getting down. We could see George and Delia coming so Joyce started waving her arms and yelling "GO BACK! A STORM'S COMING!!!" and I wish I recorded it because it was just too perfect ahaha! (๑˃́ꇴ˂̀๑

We made it and enjoyed a little bit more time outside before the rain reached us.

Ended the night with Dan's feature.

The man himself

Went back home and watched everyone's stories. The gem of the day:

I CAN'T AHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday the 7th

Took our last looks and said goodbyes...

What a gift to meet 16 other strangers to go through the grinder to make something. I've definitely made some really great friends. I live for this type of stuff! I miss them so much and can't wait to see how we'll move through each other's live again one day. ( ‾ʖ̫‾)

David took great polaroids of the stellar crew.

I'm the evolved version of Linh. I don't remember which day this is actually from because I got the screenshot later but hahaha what a good one. We each have each others close ups as our lock screens.

But I love being home! Having giant luggage is the best because you can just throw everything in a garbage bag without folding and just throw that in!

Sunday the 11th

Finally got to do what I've been wanting to do with my hair.

My hair is too resistant. Three bleaches and it's still this dark >[

Had to get the works while I'm in the area.

Was pleasantly surprised by my throwaway selfie so uh... yeah...

These are disgusting and should have never been made

Saturday the 17th

I was feeling extra and wanted to surprise everyone with a little snack box. It was so much money and work but I loved putting the boxes together. I hope I become rich so I can do it more often.

I got a goody box myself from Erik! This is the most beautiful and tastiest apple soda ever! I am so so lucky. (♡´❍`♡)*✧ ✰ ｡*

Everyone gets a covid birthday

2021-02-28T23:42:00.002-06:00

I remember thinking "Surely this will pass by my birthday..." last April. HA!

February the 4th

Not at all the color I thought it was gonna be but I liked the ugly cuteness of it. It makes me think of Barbie. These were the longest my natural nails have ever been by the end of the month.

Saturday the 6th

Sarah's children snuggling in my lap. Will definitely have two cats some time in my life!

I went over to watch the rebroadcast of the Blackpink concert because I was having trouble with google pay and ended up not being able to watch the actual night of. (╬ Ò ‸ Ó) Why can't I pay for a youtube subscription without google pay? And why does a streaming concert stop selling an hour before show time? But it ended up being fine because I got to watch it with Sarah.

Friday the 12th

Read stage directions for Preston's play in the New Year, New Play festival. It almost might not have happened because of Victory Garden's misstep in having a white woman direct a play about blackface, but it was resolved in a way I thought was done well. Hopefully the people who were harmed got what they needed. And hopefully more institutions take responsibility the way VG did.

Saturday the 13th

Attempted more Pat McGrath mini tutorials and then had to document.

Soo many attempts. Now that I look at them, I ended up choosing the one my face looks ugliest to post publicly (-_-)ゞ゛

Sunday the 14th

My birthday breakfast. My mom said the seaweed soup was extra good that day hee hee

Keeping up my tradition of commemorating Epik High's new album

They've done it again and I don't know how they do it. Even just hearing the first five seconds of Based On A True Story made me get emotional and cry. Can't wait for part two!

Angelica was so cute and came all the way up to drop off flowers and cupcakes! Super cute buds that I unfortunately might have kept from blooming by keeping them in too hot of an area? They're still cute dead though.

Monday the 15th

Everyone goes crazy over mom's kimchi fried rice. I'm glad she brought some back from work because it was SO GOOD that night.

Wednesday the 17th

Sarah came over for my simple and chill birthday bbq!

I looked like a melting Mr. Potato Head the entire time.

The sparkling white grape juice went perfectly with the food.

I asked for two candles since it's the last year of my twenties but I immediately regretted not getting three for the three of us. Good thing there was an extra match.

ෆ╹ .̮ ╹ෆ

Pulled out the gamecube!

Super smash bros always with the weird pauses

Sarah somehow won mario party even though she lost almost every mini game ahaha!

Thursday the 18th

Mom got her eyes examined. It was the first time I saw those disposable things and thought it was funny.

Paris baguette only does this cake in one size and my mom and Sarah don't like cake so I had it all to myself. No complaints here!

Monday the 22nd

Putting the new grill to work.

Saturday the 27th

I went over to Becca's and forgot to take a picture of the wonderful dinner she made us. I took home leftovers and forgot to take a picture again.

Today

Sideshow did a rebroadcasting of You For Me For You tonight! I'm so happy I finally got to see the whole show. I tried being brave and even did the talk back after. It was a struggle and I had the adrenaline/anxiety shakes for a while after, but I'm glad I did it. It was so fun to gather in this way.

February was a really good month for me. I did a lot of growing mentally. I've been really introspective and somehow finally came to a place of real self acceptance and am on my way to self love. I'm content with the person I've become and where I'm at, while also being excited for the future. And I think all this came at the right time. Now I feel like I'm in sage mode and just enjoying the slow ride I'm on. Hopefully I stay in this mindset for the rest of my life! (^～^)

My shortest post ever

2021-01-31T14:46:00.000-06:00

New Year's Eve 2020

Becca cooked another lovely dinner for us.（‐＾▽＾‐）

Struggling with the too hard yet too soft crab leg

The aggression coming off this photo attacks me. Strong defense system even after death.

The Paris Baguette cakes I brought for dessert

We always miss Alex. So happy she facetimed! We were laughing our asses off.

Friday the 1st

Mom trying my first attempt at a burger. It was still very raw in the middle. How long are you supposed to cook them?? I feel like I let them sit for longer than the recipe! The meat was also spoiled. I always fall a week behind the subscription box recipes and make them after the ingredients have been sitting around for a while. So it turns out that not cooking them thoroughly was a good thing. ^^;

Tuesday the 5th

I finally depotted my nasty palette. Unfortunately, the black shadow crumbled in the process. I forgot and opened the palette to take a picture to show Sarah, so it all fell on my floor...(๏д๏)

I tried vacuuming and made it worse.

The face you make after taking a bite of cheddar Nut Thins. PSA: DON'T. It was so funny because I was making that exact face so my mom asked what was wrong. I told her what I ate and had her try one. Lo and behold.

She always gets sucked into ads and wanted games on her devices. I don't think she's played since.

Thursday the 7th

Mom said to get a navy color. What I picked up ended up being more purple. It makes me feel like a Sailor Moon villain (•̀ㅂ•́ )

Sunday the 10th

My room looked kinda cute to me that day. Fourteen year old me is proud of my work. It's a miracle the shelves are as straight as they are. I was too lazy to move my bed and drilled above eye level while kneeling on my bed.

What happens when you get creative control for the first time late in your life.

Sunday the 17th

My eyes are the most frustrating lewk killers. After not opening my Pat McGrath palette for over a year, I decided I wanted to use it on the day of Audra's adoption. I also wanted to mess around with it before the day too. And uh... yeah.. that's what I did...

Helped Jonathan with taping and for the first time ever, liked my zoom reflection.

Monday the 18th

I forgot to take a picture together, so I remembered to take one when I helped him again the next day.

My mom made tea out of onion peels. It's supposed to be really good for you so Sarah and I tried a shots worth.

Tuesday the 19th

Surrounded by the best women<3

It started snowing a TON so Sarah had to leave earlier than we planned.

Friday the 22nd

A cute cake that was unfortunately not for my taste buds.

Wednesday the 27th

Helped Ed out with one of his work projects.

One of the views from the studio

The sky was so pretty by the time we were done!

Looking at this picture reminds me that I should have retaken the first one while I was in the middle of the street.

That's it! That was my January! I really like the size of this post. Quarantine is gonna make blogging so easy for awhile. Hopefully I keep this up after the pandemic passes too.

Audra

2021-01-29T16:56:00.003-06:00

About a year ago, I made the decision that I was finally going to commit to get a cat. Since I was waiting for kittens to be born from a specific person, and because I've never had any experience taking care of any pets, I decided to try it out through fostering in the meantime. I applied at the shelter down the street and was given Audra the day after they got it!

November:

Friday the 20th

She hid under my bed as soon as she was out of her carrier. At the second hour, I tried eating on the floor next to her food so she would get tempted, and it worked!

She tries new food with her paw first. It was so surprising and cute! Then she was finally comfortable enough to lay in the bed I got her and even let me pet her. After that initial pet, she never stopped asking for more. (｡♥‿♥｡)

She looked cute in her carrier but I was still surprised at how small and pretty she is. (♡∀♡●)

Funny too. An absolute charmer.

Hee hee it looks like she's taking a selfie. So handsome!!

Perfect profile

She's seriously the best looking cat I've ever met.

She followed me up on the bed to lay on me. She never slept in the cat bed during her time with me.

I don't know how I got so lucky to have gotten this little ball of perfection as my first foster, but I am SO THANKFUL.

Saturday the 21st

The last time she ever laid on that blanket. She had a cold and I would use it to wrap her in while I gave her oral medication. It was a struggle but she never scratched or bit me on purpose. I was so scared haha. I did get bit (never drew blood) a few times in the first month when I was too loud in her face like the first time I kissed her by her ear, but after learning I wasn't tryin to hurt her, she never did it again. Unless it was her very gentle love nips. Any bites I got were worth it cause I loved kissing her or using her as a pillow hehehe~

She turned out to be a huge couch potato like me. Almost all the pictures of her are her in bed cause that's all we did.

Ahhh so precious!! ٩(♡ε♡ )۶ And she's the exact same color of my blanket.

Lounging like royalty

"Pet me instead"

SHE'S SO PRETTY!!! ლζ*♡ε♡*ζლ

I liked the shadow of her ears

I was the happiest personal sofa. If she sees anyone sitting or laying down, she will sit or lay on you. She got rude with it by literally throwing her whole weight on but it was so funny and cute.

On this night, I started feeling buyer's remorse. I hadn't really relaxed since she came, her stuffed nose made me cry, I was really feeling the weight of responsibility for her life. I got really anxious about whether I could really do it and started getting really scared about possibly killing her because I wasn't watching her for a moment. I didn't want to be worrying about her 24/7. Thankfully, Sarah talked it through with me and I realized that's probably what most parents feel when their baby arrives. I've lived this long with no dependents and I was so afraid of being inept and wasn't sure if I was ready for the sudden change. But I was also already feeling really strongly about Audra and afraid of hurting her in any way. Sarah reassured me and reminded me that she's a self sufficient adult cat. I don't know what I'd do without her.

Sunday the 22nd

Thankfully the remorse faded quickly. Seeing Audra get used to all the noises that startled her once before and just napping through eased my worries. I felt more confident and was already dreading the day she would have to leave. She seemed well adjusted to my room so I let her into the rest of the apartment.

Already loving my mom.

Finally got to experience this

The first few times she ran after the birds on tv were soo cute. She would check around the edge of the tv to look for the ones that flew off. (⁎˃ᆺ˂)

Watching my favorite show with my snuggle buddy was sooo dreamy.

My favorite shape.

Monday the 23rd

Taco Audra. I love when she photographs funny.

A living teddy bear

Everything I ever wanted since I was a kid

Always on me, next to me, or by me. 우리 껌딱지 （*´▽｀*）

Mom is way more allergic than I am but even she can't do anything when Audra wants grammas love.

Her litto beans are SO PINK ♡♡+.ﾟ(￫ε￩*)ﾟ+.ﾟ

I can't handle her cuteness.

Tuesday the 24th

I absolutely loved this sight. Her sitting a the end of my bed, looking so at home. And her little shadow! (°◡°♡).:｡

How can she be so freaking cute?! ♡(ŐωŐ人)

ʚ♡⃛ɞ(ू•ᴗ•ू❁)

Wednesday the 25th

Nappy nap

Made me laugh so much every day.

I miss her soooo much...

Hahaha

Definitely cried several times a day for a week thinking about her leaving. Look at her! She's so obviously my daughter! Sigh... I wish we could have kept her.

Sitting on mom and holding onto gramma

Moving onto gramma

She always looks so proud when she sits on gramma

I love them together so much

Omg

(∩˃o˂∩)♡

Love Derpdra

Thursday the 26th

Her eyes are so pretty

（ΦωΦ）

It was so cute when she would peek into the blanket

What happens when you fall asleep kneading.

Cavedra

Love this view even more during the day

I don't know how long Audra was in the streets before she was at the shelter, but I think it might have something to do with how easily she startled. She would make these grunts that made me laugh every time. It eventually turned into sassy ones at any minor inconvenience. I kind of want it as my text tone.

Hahaha

I love these kinds of pictures

She looks exactly like that meme

Susdra

We are the same

This position always makes me laugh

The concentration

Get it girl

My heart...(●´□`)♡

Cats sitting funny are delightful

Friday the 27th

I love when cats cross their little legs ahhh (๑ˊ͈ ॢꇴ ˋ͈)〜♡॰ॱ

Cat TV

The shape was just so perfect

Sorry girl, my turn

Why are cat paws so damn cute

Why do cats sleep so funny

Saturday the 28th

We were finally done with her medicine, but her nose was still stuffy so she would snore. (*´o`*)

Her little paws!! T___T

Sunday the 29th

The perfect arm rest

Monday the 30th

"The back of yo head is RIDICULOUS!"

Two queens on their thrones

I know she's not winking but look at her wink!

Lol

Gramma telling her to get off

She doesn't listen to nobody

Of course I had to take a picture when I noticed we were crossing our legs the same.

December:

Tuesday the 1st

One of the things I miss most is waking up like this every morning. Feeling her little breath on my cheek is the sweetest thing. I'm a side sleeper so she would switch sides to be by my face if I turned. She never tried to wake me up and would stay in bed until I got up. Having Audra cured my insomnia and I got the best sleep in the time she was here.

Eee I love when cats looks like they're smiling~~ ～(^з^)-♡

Another funny position

Gramma love time

She's SO HAPPY

I CAN'T (♡´❍`♡)*✧ ✰ ｡*

Why do cats just stare at the wall

Mom being major tsundere complaining about Audra's shedding and saying it's creepy when she stretches our her paw.

LMAO

But then takes pictures of her

Said picture which is SO GOOD! She looks like a little doll (♡ >ω< ♡)

I had to join

Gramma can front all she wants but Audra knows she's irresistable.

When they gather all their paws together (｡’▽’｡)♡ I also like how her paws look like she's wearing regular socks in the back and no shows in the front hee hee

Wednesday the 2nd

It was a sunny day

Hahaha I love this one

I love when she perches

Thursday the 3rd

Woke up like this that morning.

Someone doesn't wanna get up

She looks so evil here and I love it.

Back to being a baby

Oops haha

Her head always smelled good

Always have to sit on something

Back in bed. I don't know why I always have to take pictures when she's on me like I need to prove she loves me.

Friday the 4th

Litto ball

I love how often they change positions

Cozy girl

Saturday the 5th

Always a happy petting session with gramma

Sunday the 6th

Nice Sunday lay with gramma

Ma'am can I get some space?

She said nah

Straight up choking me

This looks like those pictures of moms who just had their baby.

My sleepy girl

When she hugs me to sleep （♥￫ｏ￩♥）

Monday the 7th

More of gramma's tsundere act not working

Tuesday the 8th

Audra learned how to kiss

It feels so nice and warm when she lays on my back ╰(✿´⌣`✿)╯♡

Love her coloring

"She's mine!"

Gramma obviously completely won over

Officially a cat person now.

So comfy

Wednesday the 9th

A satisfied girl

"Did I say stop?"

Another kiss

Love holding paws

"Kay, you can let go now."

It's hard to see but the three of us are all on our own screens.

Thursday the 10th

Seductive Audra

Having a cat is so fun

Friday the 11th

Audra wouldn't use the flat scratching post I first got her so I bought this. It made her use my bed frame less.

I put her in the hammock for pictures. She would never use that part again.

Gotta rest the arm

She has the cutest little snaggletooth! \(-ㅂ-)/ ♥ ♥ ♥

Saturday the 12th

Every morning was a good morning with Audra.

Ahaha I love this so much

It's the lean for me

Always nestled in so perfectly

Sunday the 13th

Lookin like a lady on a mission

All the pictures of Audra keep showing how messy our home is lol

Tuesday the 15th

More Audra cuteness

Watching gramma's show

Thursday the 17th

It's so weird how long and small their bodies can get

Hunting tv birds

Sunday the 20th

How do they sleep like this

Wednesday the 23rd

Shuddering as I think of what my arm would have looked like if I didn't have my thick sweater on. I took Audra to get spayed the morning before so she'd be ready for her adoption. When I picked her up that night, the shelter told me that she had probably already been spayed. But she had been put under so she was very wonky when she got home. I didn't realize until 1AM that she had peed in her carrier so we just slept with her pee covered hind legs. I rushed out in the morning to get shampoo and tried to bathe her. She was NOT having it and was struggling to escape. Thankfully, my mom came in to help after hearing Audra's yowls. We could only get her hind half, but it was enough.

Poor girl still recovering from the anesthesia

Gramma maneuvering so she doesn't bother Audra

Friday the 25th

I noticed that her left ear was hanging lower than usual and her scratching more so I suspected an ear infection. You can see her ear and her cute shaved belly.

We went back to the vet the next day. When they gave her back, they told me that the spot in her eye might be melanosis which has a rare chance of turning into cancer. She would have to wait two weeks to get it checked out by the vet because she had caught covid. Audra was supposed to meet her potential adopters that day but we rescheduled for after that vet appointment. Poor sweet girl can't catch a break.

Monday the 28th

Audra's also the best scarf and game rest.

I don't remember taking this picture but its Audra so it was a nice surprise.

Wednesday the 30th

"Stop playing and give me scritchessss"

"Did she just ignore me?"

Audra tore off the feathers of this wand toy so I sewed this bird toy onto it. She didn't like it.

With me being a total anxious noob, I kept sending videos and pictures to Sarah every time I freaked out about something possibly being wrong with Audra. She was always patient with my antics but never masked her feelings about it haha.

January:

Friday the 1st

Using my knee as a plate to feed Audra crab. She sat in my lap for every (human) meal.

Mom was complaining that her legs hurt so I told her to gently shake her off.

It turned into a ride

Refusing to move

Ma'am the ride is closing

SO PRECIOUS

Too stinkin cute

Sunday the 3rd

Switched sides that night

Always following me around and waiting outside the bathroom for me to finish ｡ﾟ( ﾟஇ‸இﾟ)ﾟ｡

Sigh

Monday the 4th

The sass

Lookin like she's about the fall over

Good to know I'm comfy for everyone

Tuesday the 5th

I had shown my mom a picture of a cat in a hat the night before so she wanted to buy clothes for Audra.

Gramma's first gift to Audra. It was too small and made Audra forget how to walk which made us laugh a ton.

Audra wasn't playing so I sent this to Sarah half joking "Is she sick?!" Of my shit, yes.

They're just too cute.

She already knew what I was gonna say.

Thursday the 7th

The clothes I ordered Audra came but I didn't realize dogs bodies are so different from cats. The measurements were also wrong on the site. But at least I got these pictures!

Can't stop bothering her

(°∀°)b

She can never stay mad

Friday the 8th

Guess I'll just learn to not breathe

I dunno I just thought she looked cute

This day was when Audra finally got checked out and she did in fact have melanosis so the girl who was interested in Audra decided to look for another cat. It was a bummer and my mom and I started to worry about her adoption potential. I did start thinking that I would have Audra for a long time and even fantasized that somehow I could keep her but still be technically a foster so she would get treated by the shelter if cancer did come up.

Sunday the 10th

My angel

Pulled out the polaroid for the first time in over a year.

Trying and failing to show off my cute cat and cute room.

Monday the 11th

Notice how close my mom let Audra get to her face. She even stopped complaining about the shedding heh (￣ω￣)

My best friend

Tuesday the 12th

Ahhh poor girl! I dropped my empty water bottle on her and she got so scared. She jumped off the bed and kept looking around for what attacked her, never suspecting that it was me. I'm so sorryyyy T___T

Sweet cuddle bug

Friday the 15th

Cried like this for a while. I got the heart shattering news that Audra was being adopted that coming Tuesday. I was shocked. I had only just gotten the email the day before that there was another potential adopter who was interested in Audra. We sent a couple texts back and forth and the new girl wanted to go ahead and meet. I thought the next email I would get from the shelter was about setting up the meeting, not about bringing Audra back! I had been texting the first person for a month and the first time Audra would meet her new family was going to be adoption day. It was so fast and sudden. I just sobbed loudly and Audra stayed next to me. She might have just been getting up, but when I turned my face to her, her paws wiped my tears, making me wail even more.

Just drinking up all the cuteness while I still can

She's the perfect size

Saturday the 16th

Anything and everything she does is funny

Audra surprisingly isn't crazy about food. I'm glad I found a treat she absolutely loves. She closes her eyes while eating it and a tear even fell out of her eye once!

It's as much as a treat for whoever gives it to her.

In absolute bliss

Sunday the 17th

Sleeping pets are healing for the soul

( •́ .̫ •̀ )

Monday the 18th

Chastising Audra for putting her butt in her face. Animal signs of love and trust are funny.

A new position: face down (ᗒᗊᗕ)

Sarah and I really wanted her to meet Audra for the longest time so I asked her to come over on adoption day. She was happy to and also wanted to meet Audra once more before she leaves so she came over!

The way this picture looks so chaotic cracks me up.

Sarah was immediately in love of course.

All of us super entertained by Audra chasing the laser.

Fast friends

A line to feed Audra her squeeze up

Not me budging my mom

The focus

Tuesday the 19th

The four of us ate and hung out like normal for the last time. I of course made us take pictures. I'm really pissed that my polaroid camera battery died the day before. I went out to buy a replacement but it turned out to be the wrong one and the one I actually needed was only available online. (ꐦ ಠ皿ಠ )

Audra not having it

Her face ahaha she looks like a renaissance cat!

"Y u do dis 2 me"

Gramma trying to help her feel better

We forgot to scoot over

Thank you Sarah for being photographer

Miss grumps

The things I make her do

The last time I got to snuggle before having to put her in her carrier....˚‧º·(˚ ˃̣̣̥᷄⌓˂̣̣̥᷅ )‧º·˚

Gotta pay her session fee

Last treat from me...

I was running a little behind so I rushed a little through packing up Audra's last few things. I couldn't stop crying the entire time. Audra was already a little grumpy so she was particularly resistant to get in the carrier and that just made me cry harder. Mom drove us to the shelter so I could sit in the back with Audra. Sarah helped me carry all the things and was with me when I handed Audra off. I got to meet Audra's new mom and she was really nice. Then I said bye to Audra one more time and left. It felt as sudden as when I got her. I'm so thankful to my mom and Sarah for supporting me that day. It was also such a happy last two days, surrounded by the beings I love most.

Wednesday the 20th

I was absolutely in the dumps and slept feverishly until like 4PM. I woke up to a text from Audra's mom, Jenna.

She told me how great Audra was doing and thanked me. It made me feel so much relief. A big question I had was whether fosters feel abandoned when they get adopted. I was also glad that Jenna reached out to me first. And Audra looks so good in the picture! I'm so happy she's found a home and a family who can and will give her the best life. I offered to cat sit in the future and Jenna agreed. I hope it really happens one day! ( ´•̥̥̥ω•̥̥̥` )

My lock screen hahaha! If what Jenna says is true, and I did have any part in Audra being awesome, then I'm really proud of myself. I did take that bite right on the ball of nose so that everyone could enjoy kissing her, after all hehe.

Audra, it was an absolute joy and gift to be your foster mom. You made me laugh everyday that you were here. I didn't know I was capable of this much love until I met you. You taught me that I can take care of someone else. I was never lonely during this strange time thanks to you. You even brought my mom and I closer. You bring happiness to everyone you meet and I'm so lucky I got to be one of them for this long. I hope you were happy with me. Live a long, happy, healthy life. Let's meet in our dreams during one of your naps, okay? I love you so so so much! (๑•̥̥̥́ω•̀ू๑)

2020

2020-12-31T01:41:00.002-06:00

2020 was a shitbag of a year but I'm grateful and lucky that there were good things too. I'm very well rested, I've started and finished a lot of things on my lists, and, well, let me get to it:

April:

Thursday the 2nd

The image of the zoom meeting is permanently seared into my brain. My heart goes out to gen z...but they are the chosen ones who will save us all.

Fox Fam got on to wish Destini a happy birthday!

These avatar personalizing things popped up and kept me entertained for a bit.

Sunday the 5th

Made some of the best snack discoveries this year (っ˘ڡ˘ς)

Gotta stock up on the essentials ya know

Friday the 17th

Destini made and sent out bead bracelets. So cute!

May:

Saturday the 2nd

Jose's birthday fox fam zoom! Some had left by the time I remember to take picture.

Wednesday the 6th

I got stills from Marcus' project

Everything looks so good. I just wish I didn't look like that lol

Friday the 15th

Beach with Becca

We were very impressed with this person cause that water was still freezing and it wasn't THAT warm that day.

Good sky that day

June:

Monday the 8th

One of the BLM gatherings I drove protestors to. I would wait in the car until things were done but I had to pee so bad. Glad I took a bathroom break cause it let me catch the sky and some speeches.

Friday the 19th

I participated in my first protest with Becca.

It was a good one.

Fireworks for Juneteenth

Monday the 29th

The sky from Becca's back door

July:

Wednesday the 1st

I just liked how the cherries looked in the basket

I gave into the trend. I always said I would do better as a guy... It looks a lot like how my dad looked when he was young.

Friday the 3rd

Went to Angelica's bbq. I know it wasn't a good idea even if I kept my mask on but...I gave into my weakness...

Janet's flan

Drunk Anna always lookin either sad or mad. That day it was sad.

We started Jeepers Creepers and it was just so bad we stopped it and went home lol.

Saturday the 11th

Took mom to get our nails done.

Sunday the 19th

Fox fam socially distant gathering. It was so sad we couldn't touch each other after doing a show where that was all we did... I'm going to tackle everyone into a pile the first chance I get (｡•́︿•̀｡)

Tuesday the 21st

Mom and I got fancy with our sparkling Welch's. We've eaten every meal together since the pandemic started so we've talked and laughed the most we ever have since I was a baby. I'm really thankful for this because it never would have happened otherwise.

Tuesday the 28th

What happens when Becca and I try to get spicy chicken sandwiches.

Really hoping the closing is temporary.

We drove for like an hour looking for open places and then finally took our finds to the park.

The mac n cheese as good but the sandwich was meh

We were pleasantly surprised by a band.

Who is the evil person who made this?? Smh

August:

Tuesday the 4th

I liked what was going on with the sunlight in my room.

The only time I've looked up and thought something about my room was nice.

Monday the 10th

Had to use my expiring foundation one last time

Wednesday the 12

Started taking lots of unsober selfies this year

THE BEST cracker snacks from Indonesia

Friday the 21st

Anutha one

Saturday the 22nd

Charnae, Angelica, and I went to get tacos downtown.

When you tell us to smile

Ahaha

View from the parking lot we were sitting in

Hadn't been in the city in soooo long. It was weird and nice.

Wednesday the 26th

Cute clouds that day

Thursday the 27th

Super fluffy clouds

September:

Wednesday the 2nd

Raven and I missed each other the last times we were in each other's town so this time I made sure to make it to lunch.

Cute polaroids that Raven was nice enough to let us keep one of. I almost never like the way I come out in these and I look really good in all three??! Loving the weight I've gained.

I wasn't that hungry and just ordered the fries (that I previously got for free (҂⌣̀_⌣́) sigh) and the non alcoholic rose which upon first sip I recognized was the very same welches I had with my mom months ago!!!!! It was like $9. Ƒ ư ɕ ƙ (╬ﾟ◥益◤ﾟ) ╬ﾟ

But I still had a really good time with Raven and T Baby.

Then I went and get my nails done.

Friday the 4th

Not the prettiest clouds but the sky was just so blue and the clouds so white and cotton like.

Thursday the 10th

Weird sky

When you're super Korean and need soup

Wednesday the 23rd

Lunch with Becca

Then I picked up Angelica to help me re-repaint my new room. Every room except for the bathrooms in the new place we were moving to were yellow.

It looks darker and uglier in my picture but regardless, I didn't want it. Not only was my landlord nice enough to give us a month and a half free, he was willing to paint my room the color I wanted.

He gets his discount at Sherwin Williams, so I out of their slim choices, I picked cosmetic peach.

The picture is way worse but it was an ugly salmon and so I asked him to buy a can of the other color and I would do it with a friend.

And yay! He helped us by doing most of the work with the rollers and then Angelica and I did the detail work with brushes. It came out lighter in the picture, but now it's a slightly more saturated version of the original color I picked. It's not exactly what I wanted but I'm content. Hurrah!

Thursday the 24th

I started volunteering at a pantry and the sky was usually really nice by the time my shift ended. Love the light in the far clouds.

Friday the 25th

Brunch after moving some stuff over. That month and a half made our move so much less stressful. This benedict, however, gave me stress cause it was bad.

Tuesday the 29th

I can't remember where I took this and I don't know how I managed to take it so straight.

Wednesday the 30th

Fluffy clouds with really pretty light reflection above the old place.

Hanging even lower at the new place.

Tried Paik's noodles for our moving meal. The first time I strongly preferred the jjam bbong over jja jang. It's the only things that's good there.

Sun King screened online and I liked this frame.

October:

Thursday the 1st

Trying out the coffin shape.

Reversed on the other hand.

My nails suddenly looked so good to me. Of course I wasn't sober haha

Ordered pizza from Village Inn for the first time and couldn't believe I hadn't done it until the month I was to be moving away. I was really burned from their buffalo chicken sandwich like five years ago. What a tragedy cause their carrot cake is soooooooo gooooooood!!

Disassembled spicy mayo

Tried an experiment and it was a complete success.

Monday the 5th

Cat hanging outside

Becca and I went to the Art Institute for the Monet exhibit.

I like her picture better

I love these kinds of drawings? Sketches?

My personal favorite from the Chicago collection

My favorite water lillies. Didn't realize he painted SO many.

Love the three panel in the gift shop.

Malangatana Ngwenya

Detail

Ah to be able to see these in their heyday

Shivering while eating burgers

Wednesday the 7th

The moving meal where mom's orange juice glass had oil in it

Saturday the 10th

Joined Eva, her sister, and her sister's friends to a pumpkin patch. Was not happy with the lax maskers. The obviously drugged exotic animals were depressing too.

Pig racing

The pumpkin eating dinosaur

Hayride to the fields

My first corn maze

Made it out

The patch

I just sat on this one and waited for the wagon to come back

One of the two free things there after a pretty hefty entrance fee.

At least the slide wasn't so bad.

Tuesday the 13th

Cute sky and ugly everything else

Wednesday the 14th

Not a fan of these kinds of clouds but it is interesting. But scary...

Thursday the 15th

I will never tire of clouds

Monday the 19th

Did a reading of Jose's screenplay with his friends!

Friday the 23rd

Broke it trying to grab my lame five pound shoe rack. I was so mad, this was the longest my natural nails have ever been. Also hurt a lot.

Tuesday the 27th

Went to Sarah's for a late birthday celebration with dinner and the Blackpink documentary.

Prosciutto wrapped salmon

Love holding cat paws

Felt popular

Leave out a gallon of Arizona to spot a wild Sarah

New contact pic

November:

Monday the 2nd

Sarah got me this crystal ball as a housewarming gift. It came in two so I left the other one with her. It looked cute in my window but I don't get sun...

I put this shirt on after a shower and my back felt very drafty. I then noticed all the holes. Had to commemorate this 15 year old shirt before letting it go.

Goodbye JV volleyball team shirt that made me cry when I realized they printed 'JINDY' instead of the 'JINNAY' I wrote in a moving bus using the backseat as a hard surface.

The best prepackaged milk tea I've found thus far. It's suuuper sweet though.

A mother's love （；へ：）

Thursday the 5th

The color came out way more pumpkin-y than I expected.

Dressed for one of the two auditions I got all of quarantine (- n -)

Friday the 6th

So pretty!

The fit

We tried Kurimu

It was so so good.

Saturday the 7th

The weather was perfect for a picnic

Got to try some new snacks

An incredible new discovery. Thank you Tak!! The Kinder hippos are like a ferrero rocher without the nut but creamier!

Tuesday the 10th

For the first time in my life, I clipped my hair up perfectly. Had to document

And document

And document...

It went on for awhile

Had to get the filter on my friend too

Even going back and forth from my room and bathroom ahaha of course I was under the influence

Then I thought "what if someone was watching me?"

I did that thing where I only move one eye!

I hate that vent. The ceilings are low and my bed is right in front of it and the central air but no ventilation brings all the neighbors' cooking fumes into my room! It drives me crazy and it's hideous to look at too.

Saturday the 14th

Sarah's gift half working. This is the only place I can hang it and the sun only reaches half of the ball. Still cute though.

Mama Lucy lent me her drill and I attempted hanging things for the first time. If I ever try again, I will make sure I use a step ladder instead of a rolling chair and not drill/hammer things above eye level....

Friday the 20th

I brought Audra home to foster!

This is the only picture I'll have of her in this post because I have hundreds of pictures and want to write a post just about her. She is the the sweetest and cutest and I love her sooo much!!! ⊂（♡⌂♡）⊃

Thursday the 26th

Our Thanksgiving dinner haha

Friday the 27th

The pink clouds were just so pretty.

The moon so bright

Monday the 30th

The only food we've had in the neighborhood that is good.

Giant blurry chocolate cake

December:

Wednesday the 2nd

My mom not only put on her minion jeans, she dressed as a minion and I couldn't stop laughing when I noticed.

Saturday the 5th

I was going over to Becca's for dinner so I used it as an opportunity to put makeup on.

Masking mascne as moles and added the Jisoo dots.

A better view

She cooked us yummy steak!

Always with the fit

Sunday the 6th

A Paris Baguette opened so I had to taste.

Their classics breads are no good but their trendier breads and deserts are so nommy! I recommend doubled fisting their butter cream bread with the ham cheese. I finally have a reliable place to get chocolate dipped cream puffs now! o(≧∇≦o) I've already spent too much money there.

Friday the 11th

I don't know why she started watching sitting like this but...werk hahaha

Sunday the 13th

Trying and failing to capture the glitter

Chuckling at bots learning and adding profile pictures but still failing to be convincing.

Thursday the 17th

Second attempt at trying to cook with a meal subscription. I thought it would be easier now with a bigger kitchen but there's still no space. At least the fire alarm isn't going off every three minutes. And I actually did a decent job.

Monday the 21st

Killing time while getting tires replaced. No mirrors so I took a picture to show her how she looks. It was a good buy.

Thursday the 24th

My first time making us pancakes with the Long Table Pancakes sample pack.

Today

Don't wanna end with an ugly picture of pancakes so here's a picture from today:

And that's it!!! I've done it!! I've caught up!!! On the last day of the year! I've accomplished something! Ahh!!! On to hopefully better year in 2021!

Pre Corona

2020-12-04T19:06:00.002-06:00

Or before we took it seriously. I'm back already and probably will be again to finish the year out and be completely caught up again! Wahoo! I'll have accomplished one thing during the pandemic. Of course it's the most useless thing, but hey, I gotta take any win I can.

January:

Thursday the 2nd

I had helped Preston move the past summer in exchange for a homemade dinner. I finally got to cash that check!

It was so good! Even fresh squeezed lemonade!

Completed with a parfait for dessert! I think he did way more work cooking than what I did to help him move... ｡(*^▽^*)ゞ

Angelica had given me this chocolate vulva from her trip to New York a while ago and I finally ate it.

Monday the 20th
Gathering at Angelica's. Made better from the fact that it was MLK day haha and even ended up skipping the camera class I had that night.

Dinner, "dancing", drinking games. It was a good time as always. (^∇^)

Thursday the 23rd

Had lunch with Ed at Kabobi

Saturday the 25th

Spent the day doing the URTAs. I only did it to audition for Northwestern but I got called back for eight or nine other schools. I interviewed with them all just for the heck of it.

Spent a ridiculous amount of money for a regular old breakfast cause I didn't want to leave the hotel.

Sarah and her friends were having hot pot dinner in Chinatown for New Years and invited me to join.

Sunday the 26th

Becca offered to make dinner so of course I went.

We were watching Angelique Kidjo videos so we decided to text Naima.

Wednesday the 29th

Dinner with Lauren before the show

We were watching Lucy's circus school show

The stars. They were seriously all amazing. Watching these young kids do the acrobatics really touched me and also inspired me to start learning. I signed up and even had my first class in March but then...we all know what happened....le sigh

We had a great time!

Joy Yee's after

The new size is so big

Lucy's smoothie was so good

Hee hee

February:

Tuesday the 4th

More grad school auditions

I liked how my hair and outfit looked and the lighting in the bathroom was nice so of course this ensued.

Tuesday the 11th

Was really happy to take off the horrible nails I had the previous month and do a themed set.

Saturday the 15th

Went to see The Leopard Play with Destini. It was my favorite show I'd seen in awhile. It was everything!

Sunday the 16th

Lula Cafe for my birthday dinner with Becca

It was all so good and I'm still mad at myself for forgetting my chicken leftovers at the restaurant. IDIOT! ( ≧Д≦)

I couldn't take a whole outfit picture so this sufficed.

Thursday the 20th

I had sat for an art studio earlier in the month and I was sent a few finished works.

This one was my favorite but damn do I look like a proboscis monkey ahaha

Saturday the 22nd

The premiere of Sun King at BIFF. Becca was nice enough to come with me to Wisconsin to watch.

So nice watching them get their praise.

It won!

Also got to catch the shorts made by women filmmakers after. They were all so good. Glad I got to catch some friends' work as well.

Sunday the 23rd

Recorded something for an acquaintance.

Got to meet Lil Mama at the session. She was so sweet!

Tuesday the 25th

We were at the same audition so we grabbed lunch at Imperial Lamian after I finished.

My little Dewgong

Wednesday the 26th

Bfast with Becca

Friday the 28th

On this day I took this selfie lol

March:

Monday the 2nd

I really went 24 hours thinking I lost my wallet and was sooo upset. I don't even remember how I finally saw it. IDIOT! IDIOT! (ꐦ ಠ皿ಠ )

Tuesday the 3rd

The kim dduk soon was really photogenic

Saturday the 6th

Went to see Leopard Play again, this time with Becca. Hung out at the bar after and celebrated when Pete brought surprise nuggets!

Tuesday the 10th

Got a haircut

Much shorter than what the stylist said she was gonna cut but oh well. It was super gross from the perm damage anyway.

Thursday the 12

Got my nails done at a place I really wanted to try!

Only got to show them off for so long (oꆤ︵ꆤo)

Friday the 13th

Grabbed lunch while waiting for my audition time.

It was really yummy

Sunday the 15th

Will a new cereal ever be good?

These are so good but I haven't been able to find them since the first time I ate them and I am pressed! If only I knew it'd be the only time I'd have them, I'd have bought all the ones available.

Cut fruit is my favorite thing.

Friday the 20th

No regrets. Actually. my regret is not getting a normal switch. But I'd only want the Animal Crossing one.

This picture was so much better. IDIOT! IDIOT! IDIOT! ( ╬◣ 益◢)

And now it really feels like I'm caught up. Before Covid feels like a different life. But wow that post was easy! It was so short! I definitely would have been mad at the cat I'm fostering if she had deleted half of this post if it was the length of the last ones. And they're gonna be even shorter when I'm writing on time! Yay!

The last two months of 2019

2020-11-25T17:30:00.000-06:00

Ah the end of a really good year for me. I'll finally be writing about the current year next month! Even though it'll be very short lived, I'm so happy I'll be caught up again. Really gonna try not to get so behind ever again. I promise myself right now! But let me not get ahead of myself and finish writing about 2019~

November:

Saturday the 2nd

Steep was having their Fearless Ball

Destini looking FOINE in her amazing dress.

Always gotta grab one of everything

Some of Fox Fam

Taking full advantage of the photobooth

I really hope I get to go to more of these kinds of things in the future (ノ*゜▽゜*)

Monday the 4th

The people need to know

I finally got to see a Missy! Lucy and Isa were there too!

Thursday the 7th

Jordan and I had to record something for Marcus.

He left gifts for me while I was out of the room.

Thursday the 14th

A private cast and crew screening for Sun King!

Angelica, Georgeanne, and her friend came to watch so naturally, we grabbed dinner afterwards.

Friday the 15th

Magdalene night.

Awesome pre show dinner at Income Tax. I guess I was too distracted to remember taking any food photos.

It's cool writing about it now on the 1 year anniversary of the show's conception. Magdalene is everything. FKA Twigs is EVERYTHING!! I love watching her progression as an artist and I don't know how she's going to top this but I'm excited for that day. Her shows are always the best. I was so shook when she started the two things I've been wanting to learn so bad for so long. What I would give to be her for a day oh my god ⊂（♡⌂♡）⊃

Her and her team are pure excellence. Bless all the artists who made this show.

Post show groceries.

Saturday the 16th

Dinner with Destini at Aroma.

Can't remember if it was before seeing a show at Steep. Do know that we had fun.

Sunday the 17th

Went to see Night Moves at Sleeping Village with Ed

They were great of course.

Monday the 18th

Becca hosted and cooked for me and her friends（‐＾▽＾‐）

Friday the 22nd

Tried to capture nail selfies

Snow app saving me as usual

Monday the 25th

Uncle Gordon, Elly, and I witnessed Carina having her first duck!

Absolutely wearing the same outfit.

I love her!

Curtis gave me his extra ticket to see Hoodoo Love

For the Fox Fam group chat

Wednesday the 27th

Becca's friend's dad is Cher's tour manager, so she took me to see her show! (ﾉ*0*)ﾉ

Crazy!

We found our seats and they were crazy.

White woman in a full on Native American costume....

Just admiring her as she catches up

Listening to the drunk woman be extremely protective of the unicorns she had just met

These cocktails were surprisingly SO good! Especially the red one.

I was hungry... but then ended up throwing most of it away cause Cher started lol

How amazing is she!? It was a lot of fun

So much thanks to Becca for the experience. Never in my life did I think I'd see Cher!

Saturday the 30th

Kamau and Moon were openers for BJ the Chicago Kid's tour so I went with Destini to see!

I... got lost in Lower Wacker...so we got their by the time they were on their last song... I'm a bad friend...;;; (ó﹏ò｡)

Seen lots of cool shows thanks to Moon as well.

Noticed the holiday colors on the way back to the car.

December:

Monday the 2nd

Finished shooting Marcus' project

I'm thankful yet feel bad that he trusted me with this....I'll make it up to you one day! >__<

Saturday the 7th

New nails

Satisfied a craving before heading to Steep

Thursday the 26th

Tina was visiting so we went to a VR cafe

The bathroom was a delightful surprise

Can't see the cherry wallpaper in the first one so...

There were two bathrooms so I had to check if the other one was themed too.

It was! Love fun bathrooms.

Friday the 27th

I was picking up food on the way home when:

My heart still hurts a year later. ˚‧º·(˚ ˃̣̣̥᷄⌓˂̣̣̥᷅ )‧º·˚

Consoled myself with a dream come true. GIANT SLAB OF SNICKERS. I love just taking huge bites out it. ໒( ˵ ° ۝ ° ˵ )७

And that's a wrap on 2019! Truly one of the best years of my life. I'm glad I'm at a place where I keep thinking to myself "I'm glad I didn't end my life as a teenager" every time I finish a post. \ \ \ೕ( ･ㅂ･)و / / /

Texas, LA, and Disneyland aka best vacation ever

2020-10-30T22:24:00.003-05:00

It's crazy how different things were exactly a year ago. I was having the best time and feeling the most relaxed I've ever felt in my adult life. I'm so glad last year me just committed to this almost three week vacation. It was so rejuvenating at the time and also helpful for me now to look back at the over 500 photos. I feel so lucky to have the friends and family I have. They made this trip what it was. ♡♡+.ﾟ(￫ε￩*)ﾟ+.ﾟ

October

Tuesday the 1st

A great start to the month and perfect send off: Bombay Bicycle Club at the House of Blues!

Mad at Destini for not coming with us. She and Jordan were the ones who introduced me! ( ｰ̀εｰ́ )

Wednesday the 2nd

Landed in Austin in time for lunch.

My first meal in Texas were burgers from here. I forgot to take pictures of the food but I have this.

After reuniting with the family and taking the nephew to children's museum, us cousins went out for a drink on a little rooftop.

The resemblance is strong.

Angie has a samsung so the selfies are better haha

Thursday the 3rd

Sabrina took me out to brunch

Checked out the Blanton Museum of Art after.

It looked quite big from the outside but didn't have as much art inside.

There was also a building/installation on the museum grounds.

The first and last time I used the phone's panorama abilities.

They operated out of a cute tiny trailer car.

Sunset over the neighborhood.

Friday the 4th

Chillin with Ellion. I hate playing video games with children cause they talk a lotta smack even though you've never played before ahaha

Sabrina, Angie, Mimi, her boyfriend, and I went out for dinner and this is the only picture I took... I've gotten really bad at this hahaha

Saturday the 5th

Uncle Bruce took us to breakfast.

It was good~

The youngins went for a small hike

Always bring a boyfriend to take photos for the group.

Just the ladies

Cuzzos

Took a look inside a cool little shop

And only took pictures of the wall with cameras...

Za for din

Sunday the 6th

We went to the Museum of the Weird

They had all the classic horror movie villians throughout the building tour.

After seeing the infamous Iceman, the tour guide does a little show.

After Angie helped pull a nail out of his nose.

My souvenirs. The lip shit packaging is so cute but sucks as a balm.

Visited the state capitol after some food.

Pretty building. Now if only pretty useful things came out of it...

Dinner at Chi'lantro

It was my last night with the family so we had to take pictures.

The nose jaw chin is very strong in this family.

Glad I finally got to meet little Ellion

He wanted to take one for me

I hadn't seen Mimi since she was a baby!

4x4 cause we couldn't get it every try

LOL I did not do this!

Monday the 7th

Sabrina dropped me off at my next stop: Lucy's childhood home!

I love how perfectly this trip all timed together.

Went to a cute little cafe to meet up with Jaclyn.

They look like they're about to fight over it.

Made a stop at Jaclyn's

Went to a bar where they had Malort so of course we had to take a shot. I feel so bad to Jaclyn every time I watch this story XD

Tuesday the 8th

Lucy's brother owns a really cool ranch/rescue/track place we got to visit.

Made our own pizzas

Met some horses

Rode passenger in this

And then went out to the bars to dance! Ｏ(≧∇≦)Ｏ

Wednesday the 9th

My last day in Texas. Unfortunately, I couldn't head to Houston with Lucy and Isa, but I will next time!

Said bye to the house, ate some bbq, and then went for a swim before getting on my plane!

Oh god I'm so tired of remembering I have pictures somewhere else and am in a rush to finish I can't even take decent pictures of the pictures ahhh

Barton Springs was such a cool place! Literally. The water was so cold! >w<

Last glimpse of Texas

Landed in LA where Jose was nice enough to pick me up and let me stay with him!

I think you have to have In N Out after landing in LA or else you aren't allowed back.

Thursday the 10th

A whole day of touristy stuff with Jose!

Sooo happy to finally complete this mission.

Just a coupl'a sluts

We thought the trolley was so cute but didn't take it not wanting to pay. We walked the steep ass hill all the way up. Come to find out a year later it's free ｡ﾟ(TヮT)ﾟ｡

We had to

Who is the handsomest of them all?

Robert Longo art is crazy. How is it all charcoal???

HOW?!

Copying the faces

The elevator was cool

I bought another pair of socks at the gift shop...

The long awaited Infinity Room. I'd love to make my own one day.

There was a fruit vendor right outside so we had a snack.

Took a look at the Last Bookstore

Love a vault

Rare old books?

The book arch

I wish I could work there.

Had to

Loved the little shops upstairs too. And duh, a wall of cameras.

It's pretty good but I don't think worth the insane hype.

We headed home and had our first Sugarfish.

Then Jose dropped me off at Jonathan's. Sweet sweet Jose drove us all day! Bless him (๑•̥̥̥́ω•̀ू๑)

Jonathan's Jose and I watching Jonathan try his new VR.

Friday the 11th

A full day hanging out with an annoying little brother hahaha

I think because I was so relaxed the whole trip, everyone's pets LOVED me. Such a good feeling~ (♡ >ω< ♡)

Cutest little deck space

We went to Japan Town to eat and arcade. I also rode my first rental scooter! Wish I wore different shoes/learned how to break faster haha

Seriously

Watched Drag Race UK with little Robin and Umbreon.

Saturday the 12th

I love waking up to a furry friend next to me T___T

Met up with the rest of the LA SAS peeps at the famous Thai place.

It was a little salty.

Hahaha I don't know why Adele looks so sad/mad in the first one. Naima had to catch a flight so she couldn't join in on our shenanagins at Connor's after dinner.

She looks so good!

Sunday the 13th

I ordered Roscoe's delivery to Adele's.

Took Jonathan to his first Kspa.

All the rooms were too hot for him =..= hahaha

We parted ways at the sauna and I headed to Connor's, where I was staying next.

To accompany Birdcage

Monday the 14th

Dad dropped me off in Ktown for my nail appointment. I have no picture because it honestly turned out bad. I was very sad cause all her client photos were really nice. I did get to try the famous hotdog and then checked out the market to buy some snacks that Chicago doesn't have.

Jonathan left his VR at Connor's so I had Adele and Connor try. We also saw the giant Scientology compound on the way to dropping Adele off. Then more VR.

Tuesday the 15th

Finally said goodbye to this pair. Served me sooo well for 4 years. Honestly the best and probably my favorite shoes I've ever had.

Reminding Connor of who he is on the way out

My next stop: Han's!

Sweet boy just passed today... rest well~

It didn't even occur to me until Han suggested it! Great mind.

Wednesday the 16th

A chill morning with Han

Another mission complete: Yupdduk

Connor got a puppy! And then he was gonna leave him to watch a movie premier. So I volunteered to puppysit. And then he ended up not going. A bad man, that one.

A bad man who bought me dinner hahaha (ᗒᗜᗕ)՛̵̖ The restaurant let Blue in and he just slept under the table. Then he slept in my lap on the drive back to Han's. He was the cutest weighted blanket. （*´▽｀*)

Some Henry lovin

Thursday the 17th

Hahahaha yoga Henry

Han went to work and I went to Ktown to eat and get my hair permed.

The famous BCD Tofu. No one beats Cho Dang's pickles. NO ONE.

Getting fried

Walk back

How did I not know!! Still mad.

Eeee~~

I was in a time crunch to get to Anaheim at the same time as Sandy so I couldn't go back to Coco Curry. But thank goodness there was a Zankous by the hotel cause it was also a mission!

Friday the 18th

YEEEE~~~!!!!! After watching all those commercials of families going to Disney as a child, I finally got to go too!!

In line for our first ride. Kudos to the makers of the Disney app.

The man

It was a good first ride.

A really good one.

Did you even go to Disney if you didn't try the ears and take pics?

The bow is two of her heads hahaha

For the water rides. Still mad I forgot to pack my own though.

Down time in Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters

The wheel that is also a swing

The closest to an outfit pic from this day hee hee

All ferris wheels should swing

The crowd and maybe Miguel from Coco

Hahaha I love these photos and I love the photopass.

Lobster nacho break

The dole whip

The creepy bird flower tiki show

You have to do It's a Small World once even if it is too long.

We were on a mission to try all the Halloween foods that interested us.

Sigh... I thought Taijin was regular chili powder so I put a TON on the corn...

World of Color show was so cool. I wanted to watch from closer but Sandy did not feel like getting wet.

I was totally fine leaving without buying ears but then I saw someone with the conductor one and changed my mind. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Saturday the 19th

Breakfast

Is this Hyperspace Mountain? We had to ride again cause Sandy was too tired to enjoy it when we rode it as our last ride the night before. No complaints from me~

Toon Town

This makes me think of an anime

I'm glad Sandy got a picture of my curls when they looked the best haha

Ahaha the lady in front

This chowder was good

Is it possible for a giant turkey leg to be good?

Yay new Star Wars ride!

Boo getting grouped with a bad family and getting boring positions.

Last ride! Connor's grandfather designed this! ┌╏ º □ º ╏┐

Thanks to Jordan for doing the research haha. And just in time to wear it for our last day!

Sunday the 20th

Hahaha I don't know why she made this face for the Alice in Wonderland ride!

Passed through Tarzan's house and then went through the shopping district. Spent way too much money. ੧| ⊗ ▾ ⊗ |୨

Love giant Lego things. What an awesome job to have!

This is still my favorite mug and I use it every day.

Took the monorail back.

I sang the Simpson's song in my head the entire time.

My last polaroid...lol

You can't see in the picture but there's a light up ice cube in there

I almost bought another one but they ran out...

The hat is too tiny for my giant face but it was the only size that could stay on my head T_T

Repeating the best rides with short wait times

Love how some of them change "after dark."

Millennium Falcon redemption round

Success!

My rushed picture cause there was no wait

LOL Sandy

Didn't care about getting pictures with characters (plus the lines were insane) but we had to do the landmarks. There were two photographers and Sandy was like "I don't want the guy." Guess who we got.

Hahahaha!! There are seven more but I'm not putting them up anywhere.

My shitty pictures of Fantasmic.

I want to go again to just watch and not worry about pictures because it is a damn good show. I was absolutely enchanted and can't imagine what it's like for children when they watch. I even cried at the end. The show, the whole experience, the whole vacation was an absolute joy and also coming to an end. I was just so happy an thankful for everything.

Last photo opps

Thank goodness our last photographer was great! This area's even seem to be retouched with a glowy filter? Love it.

HAHAHAHA OMG SANDY!!! She really made the best faces this trip.

Then we had to do it again with our jackets on?

And that was our last night at Disney... (｡•́︿•̀｡) I'm proud of us. We rode every single big ride and

Monday the 21st

Gotta show off where we just were

There was a very convenient Korean mall across the street from our hotel

Uhhh the best pat bing soo ever!! I think about it a lot...(っ˘ڡ˘ς)

Which is now two....hopefully...please America...for fucks sake

I also went back home...

Monday the 28th

Only the family size was available but I had to try it...I suffered for a while...

Angelica was craving the scrimps.

Wednesday the 30th

Hung out at Marcus'! And managed to not get everyone else in the apartment on camera but him...^^;

I guess that soothing air didn't wear off cause Marcus' roommate's dog, Luke, was obsessed with me!♡ヾ(๑❛ ▿ ◠๑ )

Such a good boy

Marcus also makes good popcorn

He would actually push his weight down when I tried to get up hahaha

Thankful to Marcus for my 인생샷

Even with his owner, he would not leave my side. He made his choice so he's basically also mine. V●ᴥ●V

And that's it! That was the best October of my life!

The rest of June through September....of last year

2020-09-30T03:41:00.001-05:00

At least I'm consistent in always being at least a year behind? But thanks to quarantine, catching up to 2020 will be a breeze! But man... blogger is really making it hard to want to blog lol... Every time it changes, it gets more annoying to use/looks worse. But I've already spent over ten years on here so... guess I gotta keep using it. Same with photobucket. Until I ever get the energy to replace all the photos' hosting... or the money to pay someone else to do it, gotta stick with it! ｡ﾟ(TヮT)ﾟ｡

June:

Monday the 10th
The first and last Backroom Shakespeare I will ever partake in. Absolutely loved watching it, but when it was my turn, I called for line every line. It's sooo difficult or me to memorize Shakespeare. I don't know how people do it. (　〇□〇)

One of my favorite scenes. Gage as Ophelia was heartbreaking. Everyone did so good!

My favorite scenes were Ophelia going mad and Hamlet murdering his uncle.

Sunday the 16th

Mini fox fam reunion for Soul Summit!

Dreaming of the day we can go out dancing and grab diner food after, again...T___T

Monday the 17th

Unfortunate ad placement.

Plans were canceled so I gotta preserve the beat.

Saturday the 22nd

Did a staged reading of The Name Jar! It's a children's book that Emerald City Theatre developed into a play. It was the first time where the majority of the people in the process room were Korean and it was such a wonderful experience.

New friends Donovan, Eli, and Janyce!

Finally got to work with Chicago veteran Mia.

Helen moderated, Sue wrote, Isabelle stage managed, and Jackie directed!

We were surprised when we were told there was a little girl in the audience who was actually named Unhei! So we got to meet and were excited for her to see the full production the following summer. Unfortunately, the company had to close before that happened... But I do feel positive that once live theatre can open again, it will find a home!

Tuesday the 25th

A new chicken place opened. It's pretty good.

Had a first rehearsal for a play reading and was so excited to see Jose again!

Very excite.

Break was very nice since where we were rehearsing was so pretty!

Love that cloud that looks like an image error.

July:

Tuesday the 2nd

The sky is always one of my favorite things about summer. Is it prettier in summer or is it just cause I'm actually outside to see it?

Wednesday the 3rd

We had rehearsal at the Swedish Museum.

Thursday the 4th

Went over to K's!

I wrote that before we tasted the food..haha

Everyday man...

Went for a stroll to the park and watched whatever fireworks were going on around it.

(ﾉ￣д￣)ﾉ

(o＾皿＾)

Friday the 5th

Unf they just looked so fluffy and soft!

It was Morgan's last shift at Front Bar so a few of us went to drink!

Saturday the 6th

Went to the Naperville H Mart while in the area to finalize getting my new car.

I would still like more marts to do this.

Had to go back to the dealer a few days later so of course... The best flavor out of all of these is definitely the mala.

Monday the 8th

The day of the reading!

Had to show off Jose's new romper.

Mama came to see!

Saturday the 13th

After almost a year of living in this apartment, I realized that it had this!

Filipino lunch with Destini!

Monday the 15th

Lunch with Lisa and Destini and then the Urban Outfitter's outlet after. I finally went after Lisa and I talked about it YEARS ago in college. I got a really cute skirt for $5 which has still never been worn. ¯\(◉‿◉)/¯

Wednesday the 17th

Fuck bp but look at how beautiful the sky was! ꒰✩’ω`ૢ✩꒱

A dream of mine is to one day just keep driving towards the sun.

Thursday the 18th

I love clouds like how people love bodies of water.

Friday the 19th

I think I had an audition or something. Finally tried the rainbow soup dumplings from Imperial Lamian since I was down the street. My faves were the truffle and crab.

Thursday the 25th

I think Sarah, Destini, and I were watching a Steep show this day. We met with Lucy and Devon at Pearl's prior.

Saturday the 27th

I met with my other friend Sarah to see True West. It was SO GOOD. I will never get over the toast scene. We went to get ice cream after at Jeni's and got to experience the horror? joy? of the abomination that it was attached to.

It just didn't seem real. It felt like a set piece pretending to be a little market. Most of the things they carried were just strange and the packaging was so generic it looked fake. I couldn't stop laughing cause everyone in there was thinking the same thing. I thank the girl standing in front of me who asked "what is this place??" out loud.

Chicago skyline is such a good skyline.

Monday the 29th

I need to go somewhere where things aren't in the way of the clouds.

Went to Darcy's going away party.

I still can't believe I know these four powerhouses?

LOL at the fact that Youtube took down this video because of faulty machine learning thinking this was innapropriate.

I have to admit, this is a really good picture. I just wish my hand didn't look like the crypt keeper's.

August:

Saturday the 3rd

Tried out the Hampton Social with Becca

Free check in fries

The food was okay. It's mostly their aesthetic and their alcohol that people go for.

FINALLY got the Godiva cone after years of wanting but never getting. It got harder in recent years as a lot of locations closed.

Beautiful~

Ahaha timed perfectly to look like I'm giving the lady a taste.

Bbq party at Angelica's later that night

Angelica acting cute

Then on the other side...hahaha!

It was a crazy night because one of the attendees got impossibly drunk and it was very difficult to get him home since no one knew where he lived and he refused to tell us...( ;-(ｴ)-)ゞ

Sunday the 4th

A movie that Helen and Curtis were in was premiering privately for cast and crew at the Logan. Grateful Helen was able to get me in!

Saturday the 10th

Trying to take a picture of my outfit while waiting for Alex. I cannot be bothered to even try and edit my selfies these days.

Miss this woman. Don't miss that appetizer.

Wednesday the 14th

Becca hosted a going away gathering for Alex.

Alex trying on Becca's scalp

Dave helping her keep it on.

We pulled animal cards for our past, present, future, and like a...what we need to do right now.

My draw

Cheers to Alex and her NYU grad program!

Friday the 23rd

Popped in at Isa's work

Then went to see Sam's show.

We went to the nearest open place after, which was unfortunately, Flaco's Tacos, and ran into a childhood friend! I had to take a picture to send to Tina and Kevin.

I meant to tag Marcus cause the two always hung out without me. Now it was my turn.

Saturday the 24th

I forgot what I was in the area for, but it ended early, so I asked Helen to join me for food. I forget how I knew she was free or near.

Saturday the 31st

Major Lazer was having their last tour so we had to catch it them at North Coast.

Hahaha I don't know

Fantastic show as always. So sad about them breaking up because they have the most fun music to dance to and have the best dance team. So happy we didn't pay for the higher tiered ticket and "snuck" past to the front instead. North Coast really tried it. *making an Angelica face*

Love the new location. Hope they have it there again when festivals can safely happen again.

So nice to end the night with a loving gaze.

September:

Wednesday the 4th

We were quite good at reunions.

Thursday the 5th

I was planning to see Helen and a couple others for food and she convinced me to see a live taping of a podcast her friends were doing before it.

I'm SO glad she did cause The Ajumma Show became one of my favorite podcasts after that night and I've spent a year now bingeing all the episodes from the beginning.

Friday the 6th

Went to Soldier Field for the first time for a shoot!

I did't get to finish

First and only time I'll probably ever see a football field. I never even watched games in high school.

Surprise running into friends on set is also the best!

The actual mom of the daughter uploaded it onto Youtube lol

Saturday the 7th

My first and hopefully not last Fly Honey's show. Destini and Aurora were performing the same week so we made it a Fox Fam occasion.

Jose getting a pre show tarot reading by Emilie

I spy a sexy Jamal

Krystal's outfit and performance were so good.

Everyone looked so god damn good.

African dance and drums are unstoppable. My thighs burn just looking at these pictures.

Aurorahhh

Have to add this one cause her butt looks great.

When they started crooning Because I Am A Queen...hoooo

Superknova is superstar. Best record purchase ever.

A STAR!

Chris just jamming

Our Destini ٩(♡ε♡ )۶

Honestly one of the best shows I've ever seen. I dream of the day where I can find the courage, strength, and ability to partake if they do continue.

Finally got to take Glitter Guts photos that I would see everywhere.

Getting home from the after party

Wednesday the 11th

I loved the light on the clouds.

Friday the 20th

The night of the Babymetal concert. I sold my ticket because it was the only night almost every Fox Fam member could make dinner at Perilla.

Rainbow in someone's water cup.

The side of the table I remembered to take a picture of.

Good thing Jose got this selfie!

I should just edit Isa in.

Jose, Curtis, and I grabbed dessert at Bombo Bar before leaving.

And wraps up last summer! It was an absolute delight and I'm so thankful to have had it to look back on right now. I can't frikkin wait for the next time we get a real summer cause I know we're gonna go hard to make up for lost time. (ʘ∇ʘ)ク彡 ┻━┻

Fox Fam

2020-08-18T03:05:00.004-05:00

This post is gonna be like the ones I used to write when I first started this blog. GIANT. HUNDREDS of pictures. (^～^;)ゞ Last summer was the most fun summer I've ever had. (Have I said that before? Maybe. Probably.) Which makes this summer look even worse. I was on a huge high so I had big expectations for what was to come the next summer.... and here we are now.... But let's be real. If it weren't for quarantine, I wouldn't be writing this right now.

April

Thursday the 4th

I saw that Hon Kee moved to an upgraded space and suggested we go. It's weird seeing the family of people you are no longer friends with.

What I remembered to take pictures of.

Jose, Jordan, Preston, and Destini.

Stay late crew since day one! Except for Preston. Preston is early crew.

Y u do dis 2 me Jose (╥ᆺ╥；)

Saturday the 6th

Our promotional things!

I took a lot of pictures because the chicken costumes are the best and they crack me up in all of them. I have to put all of them up.

*In 2020, Mieka, the costume designer, wins a Jeff for these costumes!*

I love it so much ahaha!

Hahaha aww he looks so sad.

Sunday the 7th

Last day of tech? dinner at Burkes.

Isa joined this time. Yay~

Another costume fave. With the leash attached to the collar and everything!

Tuesday the 9th

First preview night.

Curtis is the funniest/craziest person I've ever met.

Thursday the 11th

I can't remember who or where the Pokemon card is from but this is how we shared it.

The cubs, Gustina, Thoreau, and Rdeca.

Friday the 12th

After dress rehearsal.

We hung out at the bar after every night. I probably drank more in the month and a half of show than I had in my entire life combined pre First Love.

Saturday the 13th

First preview.

With half of the wonderstudies: Zhanna, Collin, and Bree!

Monday the 15

This was so satisfying to me, I had to take a picture at 6am in the work parking garage.

Tuesday the 16th

Aww Jose so cute. He was deep asleep.

Deep deep asleep aha!

We always fox piled before fight call.

Miss this so much (っ˘̩╭╮˘̩)っ

Wednesday the 17th

AHAHAHA I don't know why he looks so angry but it's perfect. 50% chicken. 50% mole. 100% villain.

Thursday the 18th

Opening night! ₊·*◟(˶╹̆ꇴ╹̆˵)◜‧*･

Off to a wonderful start!

I wish the people working more "bts" were more visible to the public. I'm glad we could get some in a group picture! Sarah, one of our dramaturgs in pink. Devon, our director with the cool hair streak. Lauren, our stage manager in front with the beer. Arnel, our set designer is next to her. And Amber, our assistant director in between Jose and Jordan.

Collaborative art is the greatest gift and I'm so thankful to be a part of it. I miss live theatre so so soooo much.... I'm glad I took as many pictures as I did in this time period. Until we can all be in a room together again~ ༶ඬ༝ඬ༶

The beginning of stay late crew. We were always there till the bar closed...and sometimes past closing... Sorry to all the closers... (*>ω<)ゞ

Friday the 19th

Always with the bits.

Lucy probably working.

Bailey chicken selfie

Sarah and Cat came to watch this night. I left early to have a ladies night at Sarah's.

Fiiinally met Cal and Monty! Sad I didn't see them as kittens.

Cat and I experienced VR for the first time and were blown away. So cool!

I love this game. I teared up because it was so ridiculously cute.

I thought I remembered Uncle Gordon coming to watch at a later date but according to the video, he was there to give us a ride home? I'm glad he was there or else we wouldn't have had a dance party in the car.

Saturday the 20th

A warm waking.

A stupid student.

A crappy cookie consumer.

This cookie was the hardest, driest, most evil tasting cookie ever (it was gluten free of course) and I needed everyone to try it.

I love tiny little 4'11" Isa at the end. （*>∀<人）♥

Sunday the 21st

Grabbed lunch at Parson's with Destini before our first matinee.

The sandwich is decent most of the time.

Wednesday the 24th

Blackpink was in my area so of course K and I had to go!!!

I took a long ass time putting on makeup so I took many selfies to document... I'm mad that K and I forgot to get a picture together at the venue. Babo! (；¬д¬)

Wore black for bottoms of course.

They were so good and so beautiful! The water must have changed in the mid 90s because everyone born 95 and after is ridiculously attractive and talented!?! Not fair!! ―(T_T)→

I'm so glad we were as close as we were cause I cracked my phone a month after getting it and can only zoom so far before the camera goes gray and fuzzy. OH! And these seats! Scalpers aka scum of the earth of course bought up all the tickets and were reselling at RIDICULOUS prices. Like $1000 for bad seats! I was super lucky and found someone who sold their tickets to me for less than what they originally paid! It was still very expensive but these girls are so worth it!

The band was amazing too!

My shitty collection of clips. They're always so bad cause I'm like "I gotta record! No wait, picture! Ahhh!" I'm really annoyed that they uploaded onto my ig story in jumbled order. Also annoyed that I can't be Jennie Kim.

Thursday the 25th

A funny car.

A cute Jose.

Friday the 26th

It was Emjoy's husband's and one other person's birthday so the Fox Fam scurried over to Hidden Cove for karaoke after the show.

I don't know why the written out instrumental break is so funny to me. Loved getting to see Jon Berry sing in person.

The people who weren't with us enjoyed us as well.

The most terrifying photo of me... I don't know why he's always gotta expose me like this... ╰[ ⁰﹏⁰ ]╯I look like one of those Korean masks:

Monday the 29th

Finally got to visit Elly and her baby with Sarah and Cat!

Carina is the prettiest little baby!!! ♡♡+.ﾟ(>ε<*)ﾟ+.ﾟ

Then we met Adrienne, Preston, and Uncle Gordon at our favorite best place ever for Cat's going away dinner.

La Michoacana for dessert!

May

Wednesday the 1st

Saw Cambodian Rock Band with Sarah!

The ipad takes pictures too fast!

Thursday the 2nd

Jose's 30th birthday!

He's always looking dapper so we all wore ties to match.

Birthday pie!

Sunday the 5th

Fox Fam potluck at Mama Lucy's!

Isa introduced/made us arepas!

I brought soju and mak gul li. It was not popular. (　´_ﾉ` )

Finished the night off with Cards Against Humanity pre cancelation.

Monday the 6th

Helen invited me to see a show at pre canceled iO.

Preston and Cat joined us for food at Pizzeria Bebu before the show.

They only had one cannoli left (supposed to be two) so they gave us a whole ass cookie a la mode for free! So nice!

Thursday the 9th

Angelica and Georgeanne came to see the show!

Had dinner down the street at Fat Cat.

Don't go there to eat.

Saturday the 11th

Shenanigans after show as per usual.

Alcohol turned my cheeks pink for the first time! I thought it was cute so I took a picture.

We moved to Burkes.

It actually looks good?

The couple left me some gifts while I went to the bathroom.

Hahaha

Friday the 17th

Culver's custard after work became a regular thing.

Tina was visiting and saw the show! So we met up with Kevin, Juan, and Jelly at Lao Szechuan after.

My introduction to twice cooked pork belly. I always order it now.

Saturday the 18th

Chinatown with Tina and Kevin

I wish I was a morning person cause then I'd be able to enjoy more breakfast food more often. (｡-人-｡)

Pool at Konak at night.

This one game took forever cause all of us except Isa sucked. The people waiting for us to finish were salty ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sunday the 19th

Ended up at Parson's again.

Lisa came too!

Got the chicken and waffle this time. It was disappointing.

I think Aurora came and took this for us?

Isa invited me to her friend's Game of Thrones Finale Party.

Their place was amazing and so was the spread!

That finale tho....Will HBO ever come up with good endings to their shows? Bless Chrys Reviews for helping me laugh about it.

Tuesday the 21st

Visited Isa at the phone store for a sec cause I was eating down the street!

Thursday the 23rd

Curtis being Curtis and me being me.

Friday the 24th

First Love did an ig takeover.

Bless Jose for taking care of it after this.

Everyone looks better than I do in my glasses.

Movie night!

We saw 'But I'm A Cheerleader' at the Music Box Theatre. I can see why it's a cult classic.

Saturday the 25th

I love this picture a lot.

Curtis' boyfriend, now fiance! was hosting a show that night so those who could, went! I am sad because we got there late (My fault. Why was I talking so much at the Fox Car??) and only got to see three of the drag queens. But it was still awesome for my first time!

Got to meet Darby! Love her youtube channel IMHO.

Aww Curtis carrying Darby's purse. What a good partner.

They left after the show finished, but we stayed to dance!

I love that Destini had a dance battle ahaha

Thank Cthulu for Cheesie's being next to the club cause we were drunk and starving.

I still think about this grilled cheese and the capri sun Jose bought for me. (っ˘ڡ˘ς)

Monday the 27th

Did something happen...? (,,꒪꒫꒪,,)

Hung out with Ed. I just took pictures of his house cause all his spaces are so nice lol.

Thursday the 30th

I wonder...

June

Saturday the 1st

Why I need to just mind my own business when driving:

I noticed the car that had been a couple cars behind me who sped up to cut a couple cars ahead of me in a partially residential area pull off to the side. I turned my head to look out the window and see what their deal was, only to turn back to the front too late and slam into the car in front of me. Which made it hit the car in front of it! Which is crazy because I was only going 30 mph! Thank goodness it wasn't a person and that no one was hurt at all. The car I hit wasn't damaged too bad, just a solid dent to the trunk. The other car had a dime sized dent in the bumper. The cops took over an hour to come, as was the tow that the insurance company sent. In the meantime, a tow company in the area who listens to police radar, drove by and offered their services. I was already super late for fight call so I took it and they dropped me off. On the way there, the tow truck driver was saying how it was weird that the airbags didn't go off, which reminded me of the recall letter I literally opened the night before. For the airbags. I had gotten the letter like...at least four months prior. Sooo good thing I'm a lazy bum or else I wouldn't have been able to do the show that night?

Sunday the 2nd

We loved Rovis' lines and physicality so much, we had to do them with him every time.

Destini's beautiful ~~sis-~~ mom came from Minnesota to see the show!

I wonder when we can get duck like this again...

Monday the 3rd

The first and only rehearsal for Hamlet with Backroom Shakespeare.

The sword fight.

Thursday the 6th

It's so sad and lonely while it waits for Jose to come back and finish it.

Hahaha Lauren's comment. I forget who took Isa's dare of getting on the ledge and shouting "Happy birthday, Lucy!" Seeing where Destini is, I think it might have been her haha.

Konak's for round 2.

Both Isa and Aurora's best friends were visiting.

Aunty Liz is the best! She always gives me money for the jukebox~

Call me Cupid I guess.

Friday the 7th

A good sandwich from Rewired.

I beat muscles over here in bowling!!

Mama wouldn't bowl, but she would wrestle Isa at the bar after...

Saturday the 8th

Closing night! ಥ_ಥ

Beautifully written. Not surprising, since he's a published author and everything.

Middle part Rovis gone, but not forgotten.

Gifted Rovis' diaper for the next show.

The last tire scrap message at the stage entrance.

The humans finally got to wear the ears.

Last film/self timer fail hahaha! Unfortunately the only picture I have of Bree, Collin, and Nick. Preston missed it by 10 minutes! >[

Zhanna understudied both of us which was perfect cause she'd be Destini and I if we were merged hahaha!

Brotis and Sisarepa <3

It was awesome reconnecting with Lisa through Steep.

Went to Holiday Club for more closing festivities.

With the photo booth pictures that took half an hour to develop and made the bouncer yell at us.

It took some finagling but we got our butts to food. The sun had risen (but covered by clouds thank the heavens) by the time we got to Lauren's. Bless her soul for waking up and letting us in. (๑⁍᷄౪⁍᷅๑)

Show photos!

Taken by Gregg Gilman and Lee Miller.

What a friggin blast his show was!

Random

I can't find the exact date of this picture so I'm throwing it here. Isa's face is the softest so I like to bite her cheeks.

Someone came up with the idea of recording Isa and Jordan running through the dressing room for every performance and put it together. I didn't do that, just closing week.

I forgot to take one of myself lol

I'm so so so fucking happy and grateful to have made this new family through this show. I really hope another chance comes to fox shit up on stage with them. Fox fam furever! \ \ \٩(๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و/ / /
