My project is making apple vector but looked like realistic. This is challenging project for me. I never make this before but this is interesting. My imagination is green apple with stalk. To make more realistic I give it some drop water. How to make it? Let’s start.

Apple with corelDRAW

1. Rough object is making a simple shape looks like an apple. Put the green color on there, in my case I choose Chartreuse color because the green apple is like that I think.

2. Lighting effect, light comes from right side so the bright color is in right absolutely. With mesh fill tool I create the bright and dark color and little touch on top side. I give this side more dark because on there is stalk position.

3. Created stalk is very easy, using Bezier tool. Draw the curve line and then give it 2 or 3 point depended how big the object (Apple). Give it the dark color, dark green.

4. To change the line to be object select “Arrange” and then “Convert outline to object”. To make a realistic stalk, give it little effect with mesh fill tool. Click Mesh fill tool icon and then give the Chartreuse color in the middle side, and done. Put the stalk in top of apple.

5. The object is finish but I’m not satisfied with this. Adding the drop water is perfect idea. So, I add some drop water on there. The result is not disappointing and looked realistic.

6. Finish

The tool in CorelDRAW X5 is very interesting. Vector object can be more realistic. Simple way sometime can make interesting result. I just use “Mesh Fill Tool”, “Arrange outline to object” and “Bezier Tool” to make the Realistic Apple Vector.

How to make Vector Robot

Hi guys, this article I’ll guide you to make a robot with Corel. This is my project and out of box purely. I don’t know what have to do in holiday so I created this. Robot is future life I think. My imagination is the robot that will have be function to play the music like I-pod is useful for me. My robot can fly so I add it two rockets on bottom. It can seek and select the music what I want to with his fingers. I just talk to him. The boring day won’t happen in my future.

1. Create a circle, ehmmm maybe ellipse like egg. In rough drawing you can add anything.

2. Give the head of robot. Caused this robot is music robot so I try to enter equalizer into head.

3. I create the hands and fingers with music control on every hand. Robot can select the music what I want through those. It is perfect. I like silver color so I select silver color on my robot. Silver visuals as future.

4. I want my robot can follow me in everywhere so I add the rocket on bottom side. It can fly and follow me everywhere now.

I can put and draw my imagination in Corel. Thank you for this application. For me, explain my ideas through digitalize project is perfect way. I use “Fill mesh fill tool”, “Bezier tool” to make lines, “Circle tool” and “Rectangle Tool”. Imagine something and make a real into your computer with Corel. I have no tablet, just using my lovely mouse in my laptop. However, that is very useful and I enjoy it.

The key from this project is creativity and mesh fill tool. Don’t forget to try everything, tool box is very useful. The first aim in my mine is to make a realistic vector of Rose flower and adding the drop water on there. I will explain it step by step clearly.

Rose Flower With CorelDRAW

1. I want to make leaves, and I think this part is perfect to try what tool that will be used in every part of Rose flower. Honestly, I’m never use the mesh fill tool before.

2. My imagination is lighting come from left side, so the brightness color is on the left side and darkness color in another. Green is first color for leave.

3. Second leave is same. I mean using same process with lighting position but different shape.

4. After done making leaves, I make a stalk. Bezier tool is the main tool. Make a line and create it little curve. Sizing the line based size of object. I usually use “point” to measure the line.

5. How to make stalks looked real, I try coloring it with green and want to mesh it with mesh tool. Mesh tool is not useful if the object is line. So I create the line become a fill, select the line and then click Arrange in menu bar, and select “Convert outline to object”. The line changed to fill and can be mashed.

6. Copy the leaves but using different position and size. Put them to the top of stalk. The stalk is perfect.

7. Next I make the flower. Same process, using mesh fill, created the object with Bezier tool, adding lighting effect, copy paste object, rounding it.

8. After finish about flower, I want to make a real again. And I think drop waters are perfect to make it. To make drop water I use mesh fill tool and transparency tool, radial transparency especially. This trick is very interesting, main color of object is important to make drop water. If on the flower, main color is red so I make around fill first like drop water and then coloring it with red. I mesh it with white color in the left side, for finishing touch I use radial transparency in the right side because lighting come from left (remember about lighting in step 2).

9. The same process if make drop water on leaves but main color is green so using green for main color is must be.

10. Finish

How to Zooming in CorelDRAW

Corel have basic tool in there. Zooming is simple doing but sometime new user little confused about this. You can click zoom icon in tool box. After click this symbol try to click your mouse, left click first. Left click have function to zoom out the view. Right click is opposite the left. Click with right side on mouse have function to zoom in the view.

The other ways of zooming is using scroll on mouse. Back scrolling on mouse is zooming in the view and the opposite way is zooming out. Zooming out some part what you want can drag or grab the part with mouse.

Manually you can write or click zoom option in top. Standard bar give the option of zooming view. “To page” option is way to see object on page. “To width” and “To height” option to see or zoom through width and height side. You can write it down of percentage of zooming what you want.

If using keyboard you can select “Z” to give you “Zoom tool” so without select “Zoom tool” with mouse. Press the “F4” on keyboard can give you zooming object out too.

Those are zooming view way in Corel basically. I prefer combine the last way with mouse trick. It is faster and not wasting time. It is depended taste of you.
Scanner is part of CorelDRAW application. How to use it?

1. Click “File” in menu bar and select “Acquire image” and then “Acquire…” but before you started this process put your picture on the scanner.

2. Show the scanner pop-up. There are many options on there. Depended what you want. To scan whole area, you can drag or grab whole side in scanner view. Brightness can use automatic and manual. If you want automatically brightness you can turn brightness item on and if you want the picture is looked like original you turn brightness item off on option box.

3. After that you can press preview item in the bottom side to see what you scan. You can fix the scanning process in this way. Like re-select the object or change the brightness option.

4. After everything perfect and match with what you want, press the scan item. Wait the process and don’t try to open the scanner cover while the scanning process. The picture on the screen can broken and not match with what you want to.

5. You can see the result on page of CorelDRAW. Done

Scanning process is important way in designing. You can input the rough sketch through scanning. I think Scanning is first way to design. After entering rough sketch you can create outline or give it the color and some effects.
Sometime we can get ideas quickly and very easily but for other people, ideas are very tricky and difficult to dig it on our brain. Usually we use pattern in every design. The first time choose what the subject or what the company name that will we make. After we have known about subject try to collect the whole ideas concerning that company such as aim, motto, what they do or what they produced. Uniting ideas like this called brainstorming.

Brainstorming is writing and drawing whole ideas, usually we give balloon for symbol and insert the ideas to balloon and connected them each other. Try this, you can get clearer ideas after you write your idea than just think and keep inside in your mind. Select the unique word on brainstorming process, choose the word that represent whole ideas.

After you get the great word, you can try sketching the some picture. It’s just rough sketch. This activity is same with brainstorming way but used rough sketches. Search and select the best sketch that represent the word and ideas the subject.

Next, draw the rough sketch with smooth and clearer line. It is called outlining. Try this in computer, use CorelDRAW especially. That is the best vector software. You can use bezier tool to make this step is easier. After you finish and get the clean outlining of the logo, give that the color (coloring). Black and white coloring is very attractive too if you doesn’t like with colorful idea.

The final touch is packaging them in special effect. You can give shadow, bevel, embossed and other effects. The attractive logo is simple but can tell everything. People will remember easily when see that.

How to make siluet or black and white Effect in CorelDRAW

It just sharing from CorelDRAW addict. siluet effect is beautiful effect. Sometimes we can get stuck and cannot think again. The brain felt very difficult to show the ideas up. I have ways how to fix the brain back to normal again.

1. Take a walk for several minutes.
Boring caused by too long in front of monitor or computer. Try to get fresh air in ten minutes. This activity make our brain and muscles back neutral and not under pressing anymore.

2. Stretching or doing little exercise.
We are not realizing until we felt the hurt in our back. Sometimes little movement makes us better than before. Little exercise likes shake the head, stoop our body, stretched hand, rotate the waist those are simple movement that make us feel better.

3. Drinking a cup of coffee or tea.
I’m not coffee or tea addict but this way very successes to make our ideas came back and start again. I don’t know it just suggestion or not, but that is work.

4. Listening a favorite music
This is my favorite activity. Turning off the computer for a while and try listening my favorite music. Sometimes we singing together with Mp3 singer and felt relax. The stuck go away for a while.

5. Drinking mineral water.
Sitting in front of computer for a few hours needs drinking mineral water to help the organs of our body still health. Beside that mineral water can give us something energy.

Usually if I get stuck in my brain, I’ll go to bath room and starts to wash my face. I’ll feel better, the water can make relax the muscles of brain and bringing back my ideas to the place where it should be.
