Welcome back!Crocheting is so “common” that it’s often overlooked in the handmade world, just as much as jewelry is, as well as knitting or sewing.  The shop I present today proves that you can’t just look in one shop for what you’re looking for – just because it says “Jewelry” or “Knitted” or “Crocheted” doesn’t mean you’re going to find just your typical run-of-the-mill items.  Each

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving to those in the US, and that everyone stayed safe on Black Friday, and over the first day of “holiday shopping season”.Today’s post is delayed from last week – seeing as it was due up on days where there was much madness.  This week resumes the two-per-week schedule! The artist I’m featuring today dazzled me with the selection she has to offer,

As promised, here is a Tuesday edition Feature! Today is a feature of one wonderful artist who runs two shops: Phillip runs both Street Flower Art and Street Flower Poetry on Zibbet.  Each one is special in its own unique way, but both are equally beautiful in what they contain! Without giving away too much in this, I’ll just let Phillip explain it all, shall I? Name:Phillip

Sadly a day late, but things got very hectic and I completely lost track of time.  I should know better by now!I've gotten so many replies that in order to get out as much exposure as I can before the Winter Holiday shopping season ends, I'm also going to start posting features on Tuesdays as well - so don't miss them! Today features someone who does many different things, not at all

My apologies about not having a post on Tuesday – I somehow lost a day or two in the insanity of things going on; preparations for Thanksgiving, caring for our little girl kitten and her mother, and making sure Mom is comfortable, as now that cold has descended to Georgia, her back hurts her more with each degree that drops, not to mention the last days of my eye healing, among other things

Sorry I’m a day late, everyone! I had thought my eye would heal before this was due yesterday, but it didn’t cooperate. Please welcome this week someone who does things a little differently.  Lynn from The Amethyst Dragonfly makes jewelry, which yes, is common, but instead of “modern” styles, she goes back in time a bit with Victorian and Steampunk style!I’ll say no more, but let her tell

I scratched my eye. This is common for me – I do it usually in my sleep. However this, to put it bluntly, SUCKS. Why? Well, to start, I’m typing this with one eye closed and covered – my right, so it’s not my dominant, but my depth-perception has gone merrily out the window.  Light-sensitivity has forced me to dim my computer screen to a point where it would usually be difficult to see.&nbsp

It looks like this series is going to be a huge success! Already I have more people interested than I originally thought I would! While this is good, I’m worried about space!  You may find that instead of just on Thursdays, I may also post interviews on Tuesdays instead of the usual “filler” or “flashback” or whatever I post!  If I do this, you can all be certain I’ll post it where it

On October 19, 2011, I posted about the ignorance of this disposable-society, the perception of price, and the reality of the products we buy.I wanted to post this post again, so that everyone who may have missed it the first time around could go back and read it, and be reminded of its message.Ignorance. Perception. Reality. by Dream Weaving, October 19, 2011Think once again about everything you

And so begins the new series of interviews! As I said in my previous post last week, the folks I am sharing this time around are all awesome, so make sure you keep your eyes here at least every Thursday – as I said in my previous post, if there are more than I can post for once a week, I will start posting two – and of course I will be keeping my Facebook and Twitter updated with every post! This

It’s been a while since I’ve done these mini-interviews.  Since Zibbet has been flooded by new people though, I thought I’d put it out there once again for those who didn’t get in on the first round, and also for all those new people. I have not forgotten what it’s like to strive for exposure, and opening a new shop (or even maintaining an existing one) can be daunting for each and every

Posted in honor of Suicide Week.   Depression isn't something we can just turn on and off at will when it is convenient. Too many people who do not, or have never had depression of any kind have no idea what it is like. Oh, sure all of us get down from time to time, but that is not necessarily Depression. Depression, treated or not, can be devastating. From the point of view of someone who

So I’m a little on the air-headed side today, as it’s Tuesday and I didn’t get this done sooner.  Oops!I’ve had a bit on my plate this week, or rather in the past month.  Two weeks ago I mentioned all the stuff about my website and getting things ready for Black Friday and the start of the Holiday Season.  I’m not sure if I mentioned anything that happened at HOME…Well, we had a

Ever have a week where you’ve gotten so used to quiet and then all of a sudden BAM! Everything you’ve been waiting on is suddenly in your face, on your doorstep, or falling on the floor, off the plate that had once been empty but is now overfull? That’s me! The To-Do list has grown in the past few days, to the point of wanting about 6 more pairs of hands, 4 more heads, and another 10 pairs of feet

… it seems must end some time. This blog has been empty for several weeks. I am very sad I have not gotten any further replies to the questionnaires I have sent out, nor have I gotten more interest in the interview series I had started.Especially since it is going to be Holiday Shopping Season soon, I am very sad I will have no one to feature. Next week, I will post my own answers to my own

This week once again heralds the last of the replies I have to date, with the hopes that a few more will pop up in the next two weeks.  As always, I’m loving being able to do this series, and have been enjoying every moment of reading, smiling at, and sharing the stories of the PEOPLE who are behind the beautiful hand-crafted items I have shown here. It proves that these lovely items are not

I’m sure quite a few of you who follow this blog have heard about GoDaddy by now.  If you haven’t, GoDaddy was hit by a DDoS attack.  Unfortunately, this also had a rather nasty effect on Zibbet, since Zibbet uses GoDaddy for at least a portion of its site.  Gaining access to the site throughout the week has been a nightmare, since I did mention last week, I have two interview blog

It appears that when my computer died, it did not save all of my posts properly to the blog site, but only locally, set to upload at the time specified.  I have a lot of work to do. It has been a very long time since I have built a computer, and longer still since I’ve had to worry about going from one transfer format to another.  If I were intelligent, I would have kept a backup of all

Greetings one and all! Another technical diffuculty came my way a couple of days ago, in the form of my computer making scary noises and then not working.  I have a functioning "rig" right now, and I ordered new parts for a new system to build.  Until that is built, I won't be posting much on Facebook (as I've indicated), though other than this little blurb at the top of these lovely

Many apologies for not being around last week, and for the sketchy details left on my Facebook page.  I'll explain it all now, since it won't take too long. My internet service provider, Pembroke Telephone Company, has a history in my location of iffy service.  We (my mother and I) think that it has something to do with the wiring – our road is dirt/clay/sand, mostly sand, with ditches

This is something I have learned since moving to Georgia from

I'm a little late getting today's post up due to some internet outages – but these outages come with GOOD news: The fiber-optic cables that we've been promised are going in on our street at last!  This, hopefully, will improve the internet's reliability (which hasn't been very good as of late), and also improve the quality of the internet we get here. That aside, I'm extremely excited to
