Lighting and Environment

It’s important to have your lighting and environment correct to set the mood and portray you the way you want. What you’re looking for is proper lighting and a tidy and prop-handy background (not many could get off when you have a really messy bedroom).

Proper lighting is vital for your shows. Make sure you have a good light source behind the camera (so your client can see your face and body clearly). Often people just use their computer monitor if it’s bright enough and if the cam is beside or on it. The lighting you have in the room (and in front of you) should show off your best bodily assets. You don’t want it too dark so the client can’t see you properly or it displays any unwanted features (cellulite, rings under your eyes, blemishes etc), nor too bright for the same reasons.

With the environment, a light wall background to contrast your darker bed against your light body is ideal, or a light bed if you have darker skin. If you have a large mirror, position it several feet behind on an angle (you can judge by taking delayed pictures from your cam if you don’t have someone to help you. This can do wonders for the time the client spends on cam with you and it also enables them to see behind and in front of you. It is especially effective when you’re bending over doggy style towards the camera (they get to see both sides of you).

All it takes is a little trial and error to get everything where you need it and is vital for allowing your client to see what they’re paying for.

Different Cam Show Locations

While most webcam models will stream their webcams in their bedrooms, setting up in other rooms in the house can be a great advantage to other models in a host system and is often much more entertaining for the client and yourself. Variety is the fruit of life – and that goes for cams too! Obviously walking around the house with a cam is not likely unless you’re pre-recording so choosing your room and setting things up beforehand is the key. Also, if you can with your host or on your own site, make an announcement about your alternative location to get clients’ attention.

First of all if you haven’t created Twitter account yet go for it. My previous article explains why you really need it. Once you have your Twitter account it should be your habbit to post every time you get on cam. This will bring “fresh” traffic to your webcam room.

This works the best for cam sites that allow free chat like www.CamZ.com . You just need to get the URL to your room when you are available for the free chat. This is an example of such URL:

http://camz.privatecamz.com/z/index/free_chat/name/TeenAddison/

So once you become available for free chat you can write something like this on Twitter:

“join me for my cam show that starts in 15 minutes: http://camz.privatecamz.com/z/index/free_chat/name/TeenAddison/ “

It will take you just a couple of seconds to do that. Don’t worry about such a long URL that makes your message beyond 140 letter limit. If you are using Twitter client such as TweetDeck it provides you with the way to shorten your URL. Otherwise you can use free URL shortener service like TinyUrl where you copy your link and it provides you with the short version of it. So your message will become:

If you don’t know what Twitter is, it’s a social network which is growing in popularity real crazy! It has a couple of millions members already and this number grows every day. Every web cam model should leverage Twitter to get more “fresh” visitors to her site.

Because I’m affiliate now SomeCamSite.com gives me away a lot of promotional material such as pictures and video of their models. I can use all of this to build a web site using these materials. On my site I put ads that are linked to SomeCamSite.com. These links contain my affiliate code e.g: SomeCamSite.com?affiliate_code=123234 . Every time visitor of my site clicks this link and gets to SomeCamSite.com 3 things can happen:

Visitor looks around, may be has fun in free chat and then leaves like most do.
Visitor gets into free chat, gets very excited and becomes the member. But ones he realizes that he has to pay he leaves too.
Visitor becomes a member, buys credit and spends money in private shows

So, if case 3 happens, I as affiliate of SomeCamSite.com receive money from this site. There are two options that I can choose regarding receiving money. I can choose to receive fixed amount $40 to $120 once visitor who cames from my site spends money first time. Or I can receive 20% every time visitor that I sent once spends money on SomeCamSite.com.

So what it all means to you. You can subscribe as an affiliate on webcam site that you work on and using special link that contains your affiliate code attract new visitors. You can do it on forums, social networks, instant messenger, etc. And then receive either fixed amount or get 20% from what he spends in your or some other model’s room.

Warning:

Some web cam site doesn't allow you to be part of the affliate program so make sure that your web cam site doesn’t know that you have affiliate program. It’s against of Term of Services of most of the webcam sites. So, ask your friend to register an affiliate account. You can not use your name, i.e. the one that you used to register as web cam model.

The easiest way to know if you can do both beeing a model and an affliate on their website is to ask them .

As we explained in the post " How to increase the numbers of members watching you " there are many techniques to create traffic for your show.

The first important step was to create your blog, now we will explain and show you the best way to make members come to your chat room ( in the website you are working on ) instead of the other model chat room .The thing is to fully complete your profil on the website where you perform.
DO NOT leave blank space or even worst DO NOT leave the original comment from the website.
For exemple when you first log in your model account to set your profil the "about you " case says :

Finally after a long time thinking about doing it ...We are doing it so welcome to our blog .
