MMM don't these look good? So I recently made some Christmas purchases from Ulta and as I was looking through the stuff I found this lovely little surprise.

Just another one of those free samples you get when you make an order, doesn't look like much right? Well it wasn't.... until I opened the little vile and rubbed some on! This stuff took me by surprise because honestly, 9 times out of 10 I hate every little sample. But this stuff smell SO good! It is called pink sugar because it smells just like something delicious.

What I like about this perfume is the fact that it doesn't smell cheap like other food/sugar/candy smells tend to do. It seems to have a real scent depth. Also I like that it doesn't have an overpowering smell of vanilla but to me smells like the most heavenly little cookie shop or something.

This is exactly the kind of smell I would want to wear on a date or something. It will make him think of sweets and make you seem irresistible!

If you get a chance to sample this DO IT. I think this stuff would make a fantastic Christmas gift for a loved on ( or yourself).

So you may or may not know but I spend way more time then I like to admit looking at things on etsy. I found these kits on there where you give your phone a makeover with these kits of cuteness. Now I personally wouldn't be able to get away with this because my husband would make fun of me until the cows came home BUT I thought they were so cute and worth of sharing for all those brave hot mamas out there!

Aren't those cute? Here is how the kits look before they are put on the phone. I like that you can do these however you want! These would make a perfect gift for those girls who can't put down their phones.

DIY Christmas: Gingerbread Men Christmas Ornaments

The Holidays are upon us, so for a lot of people that means rushing around crowded stores and stressing to get everything you need to make your home 'just right'. But if you are like me you probably still have a warm spot for the old fashion Christmas' things like homemade decorations and trees. This is a simple decoration idea that could be alter in SO many ways to make it match your theme, but for me I just stuck to a simple gingerbread man. (Other ideas could be a reindeer, a star, or even a cupcake for those cute pink trees!) You only need a few materials and for me this was free to make! That means YAY for your Holiday wallet!

STEP 1.

First you will need to get your materials for the shape. For my gingerbread men I used an old shopping paper bag.

STEP2.

Next I printed out a stencil I found online of the shape. You could easily just draw one if you are brave but tracing was much quicker for me. TIP: If you are wanting to make a few of these, fold your paper a few times so you can cut more than one at all at the same time! You should have something like this..

STEP 3.

The next thing I did was made some really easy bow ties out of a stand of ribbon and hot glue. Once I had enough for my little army of men, I glued them on under his neck. If you aren't good with hot glue or don't have any ribbon you can alter this part. You could paint on a bow with glitter, or even use bow tie macaroni!

STEP4.

The next thing I did was make a way for these to go on the tree. I used some old rope type stuff that I had and simply hot glued it to the back of the men in a loop shape. If you don't like hot glue you could probably just tape them to the man since it will only be seen from the back and only has to be strong enough to hold the paper man.

STEP5.

The last step is to paint or draw the face and outfit on your ornament. I used acrylic paint for everything except the buttons which I used red glitter glue. Here is what my little army looked liked. Also, you don't have to have every ornament the same. If you are doing this craft with your kids, encourage them to all paint their own style face and outfits so that they stand out differently on your tree.

And that's all there is to it! Simple, cheap ( or possibly free if you have everything like I did), and from the heart! Hope you enjoyed it!!

Wet 'n' Wild - Mega eyes Creme liner Black

In a pinch and need a good/cheap eyeliner? Well this Wet 'n' Wild gel liner sure will do the trick!

The color I bought is black and you can pick it up at most drugstores. I got this for $3.99 at Rite Aid I think. It is comparable to other gel liners and works the same way.
The package comes with a little brush which I must say is not very good, but if it is all you have it would work! I found the texture to be pretty creamy as apposed to liquid liners which are runny.

The color is pretty black but I wouldn't call is the blackest black. It has pretty good staying power in the tear duct but did crease a bit on me when i wore it on my eyelid. Overall, I think this product is definitely worth the price and is great for just wearing around when you don't want to use your expensive stuff. It does the trick at a fraction of the cost!

JELL-O Easy Pie

So I was browsing some of my pictures from the summer and ran across some of this pie I made for the 4th of July! It was SOO good and so easy to make that I thought I would share.

This recipe I found at one of my all time favorite food websites (KraftRecipes.com) and I decided to try it out because of the colors. This pie can be made in any colors of course such as with green jello for St. Patricks day or orange and purple for Halloween.

What You Need
1-1/2 cups boiling water, divided
1 pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Berry Blue Flavor Gelatin
1 cup ice cubes, divided
1 HONEY MAID Graham Pie Crust (6 oz.)
1 pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin, or any red flavor
1 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
Make It
ADD 3/4 cup boiling water to blue gelatin mix; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Add 1/2 cup ice cubes; stir until melted. Pour into crust; refrigerate 5 to 10 min. or until set but not firm.

MEANWHILE, repeat to dissolve red gelatin mix in separate bowl; stir in remaining ice cubes. Cool 5 min. or until slightly thickened.

SPREAD COOL WHIP over blue gelatin layer; cover with red gelatin. Refrigerate 2 hours or until set.

See easy as pie! My only tip is that before pouring the last layer of jello it might work better to let the cool whip chill pretty good. I did not do this and it somewhat ran together. However if you are in a hurry a quick second in the freezer will do. Hope this recipe works out as good for you as it did for me! XoXo

Straight Bohemian Hair: HOW TO

Want pin straight bohemian hair? I love this picture of Rachel Bilson's hair as this hair is perfect for summer and is the kind of hair that gives you alot of room to play with accessories ( as you can see I did below)!

Well I found a product that allows me to get this look very easily and quickly and I am going to share with you HOW TO.

1.The first thing you want to do is start out with clean wet hair. You want to brush it out carefully and place your part where you want it.

2.Next you will want to get a heat protecting spray ( most any old one will do) and spray your hair from root to tip. I am currently using Tresemme spray that I picked up at Walmart for around 4 dollars.

3. From here you will want to take your brush in your hand and your hair dryer in the other and brush your hair along side your hair dryer so that it is drying in a downward motion. Do this all over until completely dry.

4. Next you will want to spray your semi straight hair (depending on your hair type) with a flat iron spray. Here is the one I am currently using.

TIP Before continuing allow the product to air dry. This will prevent damage.

5. Now you are ready to flat iron! Take your flat iron and using a pulling motion section off pieces of your hair all the way around until your entire head is completely pressed.

6. To seal the look you can use a shine spray for a glossy look. This is optional as when I use my Regis spray it is already usually shiny enough.

That's all there is to it! Like I said this straight hair look is so fun and can be dressed up or down easy by adding a braid, a headband, or even colored extension! Have fun.

Pregnant Belly Paiting: AT HOME!!

Hello lovelies. Today I wanted to share something so fun that my husband and I did and that is... paint my belly! BONUS If you are a crafter or in school you probably have everything you need already at home for free.

I had seen the idea of belly cast a while back (before I even had a belly really) and loved the idea but the sheer size of a belly cast was kind of off putting. I found some images on google when browsing pregnancy pictures of people painting their bellies and I LOVED the idea and to me it seems so much more practical. Before you start though you may want to consider a few things..
1. How far along are you?
2. What are you going to be using on your belly?
3. The gender of your baby.
For me I wanted to wait until I was big enough to really see the baby but I didn't want to wait so long that my entire body was huge also. I did my pictures at 29 weeks which I think it an ideal time. As for the theme of the picture, I wanted to do something that matched her room so that I could incorporate the pictures into her room. I also liked the idea of putting the child's name on the belly so that it was more personal and didn't look like just any ol' painted belly. As for products used, we just used some regular acrylic paint like you get from the craft store. I will warn you that if you use this it will crack however if you work fast you should be able to get some good pictures before hand. But it is simple as that really.

TIP: One thing I found useful is that if you should paint your belly in the position to that of what you want your pictures to be in. If you want to be standing up, paint your belly leaning back in a chair. If you want to be laying down, paint it laying down. This will help with the cracking.

Here are a few pictures of what we were able to come up with!

Lastly, have fun with this and don't make it more complicated than it is. If you mess up DON'T WORRY! This project is so cheap and easy you can do it a hundred times if you want & of course is a great memory and way to bond with your family or spouse!!

Fresh Picked Hand Sanitizer

Being 7 months pregnant and a first time mom to be, there are alot of things to worry about. One of those things I have felt increasingly more paranoid over is germs. It seems like every time I turn around people are itching their eyes, coughing into their hands, and of course touching things I also have to touch. Well there is a cheap solution to cure all the worry and madness and that's the every easy anti-bacterial hand sanitizers. I picked up this set called the Fresh Picked set at Bath and Body Works for only 5 dollars!

For as long as I can think back I have always tried to keep one of these small things in my purse because they are just so easy, well I finally discovered one thing to make this even better and that these little holders that you can snap on to things. They are super cheap ( 50 cents) or in my case 4 for a dollar on sale. They are wonderful at keeping this stuff handy. I plan on putting one in my car and my husbands car. These holders also come in more fancy versions including pink and a jeweled version. But can you say cute? And of course they smell good!

Recycled Etsy Favorites!

So I was doing my usual browsing on etsy and found some FABULOUS things that I thought I could share. All of these items are either natural or recycled and of course handmade. So let me just jump right into the goodies! EnlightenedPlatypus' Shop The first thing I wish I could take credit for finding are these DREAMY coats/dresses. My mother actually showed me them a few months back and I have been dreaming of getting matching ones for me and my daughter (once shes big enough) from the moment I saw them!
They come in a variety of colors and can even be custom made to whatever color or size you want. They are called Gypsy or Fairy coats and to me they are just so beautiful and whimsy I can't take it. They are pricey starting at around $400 (depending on style) but they are truly one of a kind treasures and for something this special it really would be a steal!

The next thing I found is actually for men. It is an up cycled leather laptop bag and is so sexy if you ask me! These things start at around $100 and are actually customizable.

They are made from recycled leather from belts and other things and would be a perfect gift for the guy who has everything!

The next adorable thing I found is SO brillant! They are these little rugs that are actually made of recycled t-shirts! That's right I said t-shirts!! How freaking cool is that?!
They come in almost every color,size, and shape and are incredibly affordable starting at around $40 for the small size.

The last thing on the list I found is this amazing shop of scarves and silk jewelry. Her pieces are absolutely breath taking and also incredibly affordable with items starting at around $30!
The pieces are made of recycled lace and other fabrics which allows each thing in her store to be 100% original and one of a kind. I think these are actually very wearable and would look so chic over just a black tank top or something.

So those are just some of the stores I found and really really loved. Of course there are like 50000 more glorious things I could post but go look for yourself! After all that's half the fun right?

COCONUT Body Butter from The Body Shop

What does summer smell like? Tanning lotion and coconut DUH. But seriously, I am a huge fan of coconut scented things so when I was ordering my Naked palette from Sephora I decided to try this little guy too!The price was around $5 for a small purse size tub which is a pretty good price for a body butter. To explain the smell, this coconut smells like true coconut. Kind of like that smell of tanning lotions and not like the original coconut lotion from Bath and Body Works which is kind of a vanilla or cookie smell. The texture is a little more hard to explain. It is not greasy but it has the same effect as Nivea chap stick ( hopefully if you have tried it you know what I'm getting at). Basically it is like having moisture on your hands without them ever feeling wet at all.

Overall I am really happy with my purchase. Being pregnant and stuck in the house all the time, I can just rub some of this on and at least smell like I'm somewhere warm. Look at this icy I found in town. It was dreamcicle. Can you say Oh My YES!!!

Sewing Machine Adventure #1 : $10 Glider Makeover

Isn't that thing cute? It matches the garden theme I have planned for my daughters room perfectly! It is one of those pillow pets and I found it at Walmart for only $5 on clearance because it was with the Easter stuff. Can you say score?! Anyways..

So, I have had a sewing machine for a while. I forget the model # but its a brother machine of some kind I do believe. I actually asked for it for Christmas before I met my husband in hopes of turning into some project runway-designer-esq person however I guess I got caught up in life and got kinda forgot about it. However, when I found out I was pregnant I almost instantly thought of my sewing machine lol

The Delima: The only thing I have ever made up until this week was an outfit for my moms dog and a lamp cord cover for my sister, BUT I really wanted to try to put something together to make a slip cover for a glider that we had so that I could put in my daughters room. It was pretty unsightly and desperately in need of a makeover if it was at all saveable. I didn't plan on showing this so I did not take a before picture but this is the glider and color so you can just imagine a few stains on it from my mother in laws dog and you would have the before.

The structure was in perfect condition just the cushions looked pretty ugly. Before I went on this venture I actually looked around on etsy and a few places about replacing the pillows. That quickly become out of the question because most people wanted more for the cushions than the chair would cost brand new. By the way the chair is from Walmart and cost around $150 depending on which fabric and stain you chose. Click for link. Not bad really but this thing was old to us and I didn't really want to invest money into fixing up a cheap chair.

My idea: So anyways, I started looking for ideas and tips on how to make a slip cover for this thing. I read somewhere someone suggested using an old sheet to make a stencil to do this.I thought that was a good place for me to start before buying "real" fabric so I went to my local Dollar Store and found a sheet set for only $9. I decided I would buy something that would match in case it actually did turn out or in case it was a complete fail I might could use the fabric for something else for her room.

How I did it: So getting started with the sheets I had no idea what to do so I just took the idea of doing a basic pillow cover and expanded. I layed the out fabric ugly side up and took a pink highlighter and traced the pillows and pinned around the shape. Next I just took it over to my machine and traced the lines I had drawn with a regular stitch. I read somewhere to leave a 1/4 inch around the edges when doing a slip cover so I did that with my lines. I was pretty scared to turn them pretty side up when I was finished but to my surprise when I did this, they actually fit the pillows pretty nicely. Now they are a long shot from perfect but I am so pleased with these that I am not even going to redo them with another fabric. The sheet material is light and will be great at washing. As for the ottoman I did have to borrow an electric stapler to cover the bottom. This was was the easier and took seriously around 3 mins just to staple the sheet over top of the existing fabric from the bottom.

Overall: I am so pleased with how this turned out and especially for what I put into it! While it's not 100% perfect it is an improvement from how it was and I think it will blend right into all the pink and pretty things I have planned for her room! I am one happy mommy!!

Glam up your plastic storage containers!

If I'm not mistaken, most every girl/woman I know has some kind of plastic storage containers hiding around somewhere in their house or bathroom. They are great for storage & cheap but pretty unsightly. I decided to give mine a mini face lift using some things I had in my house. Here is the result and I will tell you how just keep reading!

The first thing you need is your plastic storage container. Duh. I purchased the one seen above at Walmart a while back but I know it was under $15.

Next you will want to gather up some old magazines, scissors, and some clear packaging tape.

Now you will want to get a plan. Think about what is in each bin. Below you will see I gathered pictures of eyes and lashes and things to put outside of a drawer holding fake eyelashes. If you want to directly label these you can!

Next you will want to cut out all of your pictures and individually tape them to the container like collage. HINT: I suggest using a small piece of looped tape so that you can move the pictures in case you find more you like better.

Lastly you will want to cut long strands of the tape the length of the container. You will place it over your finished picture collage so that it laminates it in a way. If your container is as large as mine you may need to use up to three pieces of tape however less is more!

Now your finished! Sit back and enjoy your new look!

Here are some more pictures of how I matched my collages with the inside of my containers. As an alternative you could use magazines clippings of friends, flowers, or art.

DIY Girly TuTu

I wanted to share what I made today because it was super easy (and cheap). I didn't make a tutorial because I was actually trying to get some sun while I was making this but I thought I could at least share the end result and link you to a tutorial.

I made this because I was dreaming of my little girl as usual and wanted to make something out of things I already had. The materials you need are tulle, ribbon, and scissors (easy peasy). Like I said, mine is for my daughter who isn't even born yet LOL but its not a bad thing to have a tutu waiting for you right? Anyways if your brave enough you can make these in adult sizes just use more tulle.

First time with Fondant ( Marshmallow Style)

Hey beauties.

I just wanted to share real quick something I did today that I have wanted to try for a long time ..fondant! I'm sure everyone has seen the show Cake Boss by now and I have to say those guys was my inspirations. I did a few searches on Google and You tube to see what I could find to DIY and I found this easy recipe for marshmallow fondant.

This is what my cake turned out like. I have to say that I really don't think it taste that great at all BUT its not horrible and since these kind of cakes are mostly for show.. I dunno I guess its fun to try. I used this recipe and 1 box cake in 9 inch round cake pans.

I made this one for my Father in laws birthday. The 65 is made out of star crunch cakes ( closest thing we had ready to a rice crispy treat ) that I covered in fondant. But anyways if your bored, this stuff is really cheap to make so why not give it a go =]

We are having....

So I have to say yesterday was probably one of the best days of my life. We went to the doctor and had an ultrasound and finally got to know for sure what the gender of our little cupcake is!

It was a magical experience for my husband and I. Not that sex was a huge deal to us, we just wanted a healthy baby foremost, however we were beyond thrilled to find out we are having .....

A GIRL!! We both cried a little as they told us she looked healthy. We were able to see the chambers of her heart flickering as well as her dancing around and stretching her legs AND having the hiccups!

The things that are in my heart are like nothing I have felt before or could have imagined. The love I feel for my husband, and for our little girl is something that makes me feel bigger than myself. Everything feels bright, and I have all the hopes of the world for our little baby.

On a physical level I keep imagining the dynamics of how our family will work. What will she be like? Will she be funny like her dad, or serious like me. Will she be born with hair for me to play with and put in little pony tales? I think of all the things I want to give her. How I want to make her things to make her feel pretty and special.
I think of tea party's

And birthday cakes

and family vacations and pictures with our dog. I think of how Holidays will change, and how our family's will interact with our little girl too.

But most importantly I think of the important things. I want to be a good mom, and teach her that valuable things come from the inside out. I want her to realize love is the most important thing and the best gift we have. I want her to know her creator and have an unquestioning love for God. I want her to see what relationships can be like through the example of my husband and I, and of course I want her to have confidence in herself and her dreams to know that she can be whoever she wants and we will always be proud.

I woke up today with the biggest heart possible and for all the blessing in my life I am so thankful!

Movie Marathon!

So I just finished my final, husband is giving his last presentation for his class, and the rest of this week is ours! Well kinda. Dr. appointment in the morning, taxes, school financial aid, and a few other things, but besides that we are good. Stopped at the movie store and picked up some movies for a little movie marathon starting as soon as dinner is done.

Here is what we got lined up..

Nothing sounds better to me at this point than laying on my husbands skin, dog on my feet, and nothing to do but relax.

Inexpsive Baby Doppler =Priceless (Story & Review)

Hello lovely's. To be honest, when I became pregnant I wasn't sure that it was something I would write about here. I mean only a handful of people you know are actually pregnant at a time so I figured it might be boring to some people. However, as a first time mom to be myself, there are some things that are just to important not to share. One of those things for me has been my doppler. But let me start at the first of this story...

My husband and I found out that I was expecting right when I turned 6 weeks pregnant on New Years day. We were very very excited and nervous for what was to come, but lovingly was ready for whatever challenges would come out way. We got our first ultrasound during our 6th week to confirm our at home test. We was able to see a heartbeat flicker even thought the baby was only a tiny little thing: for both of us, this was immediate peace of mind that everything was on the right track. Around 9 weeks pregnant we was able to go back to the Dr. to see a second ultrasound, everything looked great and we were one step closer to our dream of seeing who our precious little baby would be. All development was healthy and growing looked great. Over the next few weeks I started to see some unusual bleeding. Fortunately, it was time for my next appointment where we was scheduled to hear the baby's heartbeat. While I had felt very depressed for the first few days the spotting had began, I was really put to ease that the baby's heartbeat sounded strong and my exam looked normal. Just to be sure everything was okay I had to return a week later , and sure enough the spotting had stopped and I was told I was back to ' normal pregnancy'. What a relief! I dried my tears , and decided that I needed a doppler too just so I could check on the baby myself if anything else every occurred!

So my hunt for a doppler began, but price was definitely an issue. As a non-working student, our family income is less than tight at the moment. But we had to have a doppler, it was to important not to have. So I began to look around and wound up on ebay. Here I was able to find a doppler with the brand name Baby Sounds. It appeared to me that most of these were made and shipped from overseas. I was also able to find a review of this doppler on Youtube (can be seen here). Wow I thought, looks simple enough. Then I noticed the shipping time and that I wouldn't be able to actually get it to me for weeks. I couldn't wait that long! So I searched for that specific doppler by price from lowest to highest and looked for the cheapest one that would ship from the USA. I found a seller named eastshoremedical that had this baby doppler with gel and batteries included AND free shipping AND shipped in one day! The price was only $35.89, which was around $10 more than the ones being shipped overseas but the timeline was so worth it to me!

So the clock started ticking the moment I pressed order. I wanted this thing so bad! Sure enough it came super fast we were able to begin listening to our baby at home. SOO exciting. I was able to find out baby's heart at a little over 12 weeks but the girl on youtube said she was able to find hers even earlier. Fantastic right! So at the beginning of the 15th week (this week) I began bleeding again. This time it was even more than before. BUT this time we had our doppler! THANK GOD. Despite the situation, we have been able to monitor our baby's heart rate over the last few days until our next appointment. This peace of mind to us has been so priceless to us. I have an ultrasound scheduled for Wednesday but in the mean time this doppler has been able to keep me calm in at least knowing my baby is still alive and okay as far as I can tell. So you see why this doppler has been priceless, and I highly suggest it if you are looking for an inexpensive way to hear your baby's heartbeat at home. So enough of the story let me explain how this thing works.

First, these dopplers come in many colors!

The one I purchased is blue. The dimensions are (L) 110 x (W) 55 x (H) 16 mm WEIGHT: 80g( with 2 AAA batteries). It has a Heart Rate Range of 50-240 bpm, Accuracy ± 2 or 2%, Ultrasound Frequency 2MHz , and Ultrasound Intensity <10mW/cm2. It has a small LCD screen where it will display the heart rate and also includes a feature that will freeze the number one lifted off your belly.(This is pretty great because when I find the heart rate I can't really look down to see the number). It also has volume control as well as two headset jacks so that you can plug in two sets of headphone and listen with somebody else. Also I found that if you have any pair of ipod speakers or anything they will plug into it as well so that you can listen aloud with family or friends. Another cool feature mine come with is a computer cord. With this I was able to plug it right into my computer and record the baby's heartbeat on here so you can send it to friends and family out of state or via email. Can you say FANTASTIC! When you go to actually use this thing it is very easy! You simply apply a bit of gel to your tummy or the doppler, turn it on, and starting at the pubic bone move your doppler around until you are able to hear your baby.* Since the packages does come with a little bit of gel, it was just a small amount, so I wanted to be able to have more on hand. I looked around but after going to the Dr. he told us that you could just use aloe vera gel! Since I use this stuff regularly that was great to know I didn't even have to order more. * Anyways, when you turn it on you will see three little bars meaning its on but not picking anything up yet, once you have this thing in the right place and it begins to pick up the heartbeat a little triangle will appear in the left hand corner like this.

Once you see this you will know you are picking up a heartbeat. I have found it can be easy to pick up your own heartbeat, so you will know the difference by the numbers. A baby's heart rate will be between 120 and up usually while your own will be much slower. If you are having a hard time finding it, you may need more gel.

So all in all I felt that this was something worth sharing. If you follow my blog for makeup related stuff, please just skip this post, however if one person who is in a similar situation as me can find this recommendation, and find the peace of mind I have, I think it will be worth it.

DIY ( for cheap!) St. Patricks Day Hippie Headband Tutorial

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you find yourself blessed today.

So due to some pregnancy things, I have found myself trapped in the house 'taking it easy'. The good news is, I found the perfect craft to occupy my mind while still being super easy. I named it 'St. Patricks Day Hippie Headband' because I chose to do mine green, but this tutorial can be used with any color fabric or felt so that it can be worn any time. So to show you what this tutorial is all about here is a picture of the finished product.
This craft can be altered to fit your style or whatever resources you have on hand. Here is a list of materials of things I used.
Materials:
Felt *If you do not have felt on hand consider using recycled fabric like an old t-shirt.
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Elastic headband * or hair clip
Some kind of center * this could be a button, beads, pearls, or anything else you hand on hand.
Step 1.
The first thing you are going to want to do is get your fabric and draw the appropriate size flower of how small or large you want your fascinator to be. I used this stencil I made in paint. If have a steady hand you might not even need a stencil and could probably just freehand this but I am not to good at drawing.

Here is what mine looked like..

Step 2.
The next thing you are going to do is cut out the shapes. If you are using a stiff material like felt or tweed, you may be able to fold your fabric over so when you cut it out you will have two flowers instead of one. This will save you some time if you are wanting to make a few different cut outs. If you have a fabric that is thin like satin or cotton, you probably will have to cut them out one at a time because it will move around to much to keep aligned and keep your flowers even.
Step 3.
Once you have your cutouts, you will then want to chose how you want to arrange them. To make a flower like mine, I used two of the medium flowers in my stencil and one of the largest flowers.
Step 4.

Next you will want to stack your flowers how you want them ( do not glue them yet ) and get your optional centers. I find it works best for me to lay my flowers out so I can see exactly how it will look once I glue it.This step is where you can try different buttons or jewels just to see which one looks best with your fabric and shape. I ended up using a pearl.
Step 5.
Now you will want to go ahead and glue your pieces together using your hot glue gun or whatever glue you have. Also at this stage you will want to flip your flower over and glue your attachment. For this piece I used an elastic black hippie headband. Tip: You will want to use enough glue to ensure your piece holds, however to much glue may cause white spots on your fabric. Usually it can be picked off but sometimes on felt it leaves a stain.

Step 6 .
Lastly you will just want to go over your piece and make sure there isn't any stay hairs or glue strings. If not then you should be ready to go! See, easy as can be!

ELF 100 Eyeshadow Palette Review + Swatches

So I did a Elf haul right around Valentines Day, and this is one of the things I picked up that I wanted to share.

It is called e.l.f. Studio Endless Eyes Pro Eyeshadow Palette and was supposedly featured on Oprah's favorites list for its awesomeness. It contains 100 colors and has a small mirror and two sponge applicators.

This product list for $10 but if you order it online I imagine you could find some coupon codes to save on shipping or your overall purchase.

This palette has a wide range of colors that are both shimmer and matte.

If you collect alot of makeup or have more than 2 of the Coastal Cents palettes, I don't think any of these colors would probably be 'new' to you. However, if you are just starting out, or are one of those people who only buy a certain color range, this palette is a GREAT and inexpensive way to try out some fun colors.

These swatches are done over regular foundation as a base, however I have found that these work really well when foiled or used with a wet type base like NYX jumbo pencils or my favorite Pixie Epoxy.

The texture of these is slightly chalky, however I think they are well worth the effort if you just build them up and use a good base.

OVERALL
I am REALLY happy with my palette. I find that I actually prefer a lot of the neutrals in this palette to the ones in my CC neutral palette. They seem to have more pigmentation. I think that this is a great buy for the price and is ideal for everyday wear or (if your like me) just putting makeup on to wear around the house. You can get the same looks that you would with your more expensive makeup without wasting it on cleaning house. I think that this would make the PERFECT gift, especially for girls just starting out. $10, you cant go wrong with this one.

Lip Smackers Star Glaze + Lip Swatches & Combo's

So, being pregnant and all I end up at the drug store more often than ever before. What does this mean really? Unexpected purchases duh. So today I wanted to share these two little lip glosses I picked up. They are by Bonne Bell called Lip Smackers Star Glaze. The package says " Chic, sheer shades for lips that shine like the stars" how cute is that! But isn't Bonne Bell for kids? Well, for some reason I always buy Bonne Bell lip glosses. I am drawn to the smells and girlish colors like a bee to a flower.

The colors I picked up are Strawberry Pink on the left and Candy Pink on the left. I loved the colors so much and was so excited that they looked more purple than pink.

In this swatch picture Strawberry Pink is on the right and Candy Pink on the left. These cost around $3.50 at my local Rite Aid. They are pretty sheer but are somewhat pigmented as you can see. I really like these over lipstick so I did a few color combo's with NYX lipsticks.

This is Nyx lipstick in Power + BB SG in Candy Pink.

Next is Nyx Opal lipstick + BB SG in Candy Pink.

Here is Nyx Chloe + BB SG in Strawberry Pink.

Last is one of my most used lipsticks and that's Nyx Spoiled + BB SG in Candy Pink.

So overall I think these lip glosses are really great at sprucing up lipsticks that you already have, or even just worn sheerly to spruce up your ' I'm not trying that hard' look. They smell (and taste) REALLY good and are less then $4.00.

Maternity Spring/Summer 'GO-TO's from Old Navy

Okay, so if you are pregnant or have ever had kids, you know that being pregnant and comfortably wearing clothes can be difficult. I am now 13 weeks pregnant (with my first) and I am slowly finding the reality that, my normal jeans are just not working anymore. Even worse my 'fat' jeans aren't working anymore. So in preparation for my growing baby bump, I ordered a few inexpensive things from Old Navy that I think will be perfect for spring/summer.

First, and not just for pregnant women...FLIP FLOPS! I'm pretty sure everyone knows about the basic colored flip flops that Old Navy sells every year. I have been buying these since as far back as I can remember. They are cheap and always one of my spring/summer go-to's. They are so easy to wear, match almost anything, and are SO convenient. For my preggy toes I ordered the basics: brown, black, and silver (or gray I guess). This to me seemed fail proof as I'm not sure what kind of outfits I will realistically be able to pull together and with those three I figure I will at least have 1 matching pair of flip flops for any outfit.

Next, I found what I originally was searching for at ON and that's gauchos. So I'm not sure if these are 100% what you would say ' in style' however I have owned a few pair of these in years past and they are literally the most comfortable and cool pants you can find. That is the goal right? Be comfortable and covered. Anyways, the first pair that I found are in the maternity section. The one's I ordered are in 'Dark Chocolate' and are EXACTLY what I was hoping for. They were on sale for $10 but are such great quality. They are not thin that they are sheer and also have the roll panel in the front so that as your belly grows you can wear them pulled up or rolled down. Love it.

Next I found this ruched jersey top in green. It has 3/4 sleeves which I love and the material is light weight but not so sheer that you would necessarily have to wear a tank top under it. The size I ordered is a large, which I do normally wear a large or xlarge in tops since I do have a large chest, but since this was in the maternity section the large is pretty big. When you turn the top around the front is alot longer than the back, this I guess is to accommodate the big belly. I am not quite big enough to fit this shirt yet, but as spring and summer rolls around I think it will probably fit perfect. Oh and it was also $10.

So, again I found another pair of gauchos that were not in the maternity section. These were $12.50 and sadly I find the quality to be not as good as the maternity ones. The color I got is the blue and I notice that they are alot more sheer. Still, I think they wil be comfortable and if they are bad about vpl ( you know visible pantie lines LOL) I will just wear them with a long shirt.

So very lastly I picked up this tshirt. Normally I'm not a big fan of shirts that say name brands right across the front, however I liked the color and the practicality of just a plain tshirt. It was also $10 and is surprisingly not to sheer either. I ordered a large in this shirt also, however it is alot smaller then the green shirt. This is a shirt I think I will be able to get some use out of soon, and probably well into spring and maybe summer.

Overall, I am happy with my purchases! I found exactly what I was looking for and that was just a few basics that I could mix and match with as I grow. I have bought a few other maternity shirts and pants from Babies- R- Us and Kholes so I'm not sure realistically how much more I will actually be buying in the near future. I think that with clothes how they are I will probably be able to make a lot of my non-maternity shirts work for a good while. I mean, whats the point in buying a ton of clothes you wont even be able to wear but more than a few months? So if anyone has any money saving idea's of how to mix it up or use what you have I'd love to hear your ideas!
