D. Wells

Most American women who find out they have cancer are confronted by their doctors with three choices for treatment, which include surgery, chemotherapy and radiation, all of which greatly increase the chance they will never again be able to procreate. Yet, rarely does any doctor offer those women the fourth choice of treatment, which does not endanger their fertility whatsoever, and does not even require taking medication.

The latest study finds that very few women with cancer take steps to preserve their fertility while undergoing dangerous and toxic cancer therapy, and what's worse, many women are discriminated against as doctors don't even suggest they review the steps that can be taken to possibly preserve their fertility and prevent ovarian failure. (http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2012-03/w-fyw032112.php)

Cancer, a peer-reviewed journal of the American Cancer Society (one of the biggest scam organizations further endangering women's lives), revealed research after interviewing over 100,000 U.S. women, under the age of 50, who were diagnosed with cancer. The only fertility advice/choices given to a "select" few of these women was regarding egg or embryo freezing as a (slim) chance for future conception. Read more...

Ayurtox for Body Detoxification

Heart disease risks lowered by five lifestyle modifications during youth

By John Phillip

Cardiovascular disease is the leading killer of adults in all Western cultures. Many people believe their fate has been sealed through the inheritance of 'bad' genes, and no degree of healthy living will have any effect on their risk of an untimely and early demise. More evidence that this thought process could not be more flawed is underscored by the work of researchers at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine as published in the journal Circulation.

Scientists have found that maintaining a healthy lifestyle from childhood and into your 40's and beyond can have a profound effect on reducing risk of developing cardiovascular disease as you grow older. Consuming a heart-healthy diet, regular physical activity, stress and blood pressure reduction and maintaining a normal body weight combine to dramatically lower heart disease risks compared to hereditary influences. Read more…

Cardiofy Heart Care Supplement

How to Stay Flu-Free for the Holidays

(HealthDay News) -- The overlap of the cold and flu season with the holiday season can make it a challenge to stay healthy as you go to parties and get together with family and friends.
Getting a flu shot is important, but other precautions can also reduce your risk of getting sick or of spreading illness to others, according to a Ryerson University news release.
Here are some tips for a healthy holiday:
• When you have to cough or sneeze, do it in your sleeve or the inside of your sweater or jacket. That will prevent the spread of viruses to those nearby.
• Wash your hands regularly and always after using the restroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose.
• Use the air kiss or fake peck on the cheek instead of a kiss on the lips when greeting family and friends. Read more…

Cardiofy Heart Care Supplement

Stem Cells May Offer New Way to Treat Blocked Arteries

(HealthDay News) --
Injecting bone marrow cells into the heart's muscular wall restored blood flow
to hearts with blocked arteries for which conventional treatments had proven
ineffective, Dutch physicians have reported.

"I think this is very good news for patients who are at the end of the
line and have no options left," said Dr. Douwe E. Atsma, an interventional
cardiologist at Leiden University Medical Center and an author of the study,
which appears in the May 20 issue of the Journal of the American Medical
Association.

The 50 people in the study, 43 of them men, were experiencing angina, or severe
chest pain, because of blockages in their heart arteries. All had undergone
several artery-opening procedures, such as angioplasty or bypass surgery, to
restore blood flow, but such measures would no longer help them, Atsma said.

Half of the participants received injections of cells taken from their own bone
marrow, and the others received inactive cell injections. After three months,
the responses were varied, with some participants reporting complete relief and
others with partial benefits. Read more…

By Tony Isaacs

Renowned heart surgeon Dr. Dwight Lundell recently stepped forward to expose
how embracing the high cholesterol myth has been wrong and the harm that has
resulted, stating that the recommendations to lower cholesterol and severely
restrict fat intake "are no longer scientifically or morally defensible."

Dr. Lundell explained that inflammation in our arterial walls is the real
culprit for heart disease and stated that "the injury and inflammation in
our blood vessels is caused by the low fat diet recommended for years by
mainstream medicine."

"Simply stated," said Dr. Lundell, "without inflammation being
present in the body, there is no way that cholesterol would accumulate in the
wall of the blood vessel."

In addition, said Dr. Lundell, "The long-established dietary
recommendations have created epidemics of obesity and diabetes, the
consequences of which dwarf any historical plague in terms of mortality, human
suffering and dire economic consequences."1 Read more…

By S. D. Wells

Preservatives and synthetic food agents found in foods inhibit oxygen and delay
the development of fungus and mold, creating a longer shelf-life for products.
But after being consumed, these toxins deprive human cells of oxygen and
rob them of nutrients, thus leading to cell mutation and the perfect breeding
ground for cancer.

Just like humans, cells need oxygen to survive and thrive. "Fungus
fighting" preservatives and man-made food agents choke out your body's
nutrients at the DNA level by deprivingmitochondrial cells of
oxygen, sometimes completely shutting them down. And if the body does not have
enough essential nutrients, it becomes more susceptible to disease. Read more…

(HealthDay News) --
Elderly people suffering from a type of heart disease called diastolic heart
failure do not seem to benefit from the commonly prescribed heart failure
drugs, researchers from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles report.

As the population in the United States ages, more elderly people are being
treated for heart failure. But even though they make up the majority of those
treated for the disease, little is known about the effectiveness of treatment,
researchers say.

"We really don't have many data on heart failure patients above the age of
80," said lead researcher Dr. Ernst R. Schwarz, medical director of the
Cardiac Support Program and co-director of the Heart Transplant Program at the
Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute. Read more…

(HealthDay News) --
Vitamin D supplements don't seem to help most patients suffering from chronic
obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), according to a new study by Belgian
investigators.

Emphysema and
chronic bronchitis are the two main forms of COPD, and many sufferers have
both. The condition makes it hard for people to breathe.

Since most COPD
patients are vitamin D deficient and vitamin D helps fight inflammation, the
hope was that high doses of the sunshine vitamin would reduce the number of
severe flare-ups ("exacerbations") that can land patients in the
hospital, researchers said.

"There are
studies showing that patients with vitamin D deficiency are more susceptible to
different inflammatory, infectious and autoimmune diseases, and most likely
COPD," said lead investigator Dr. Wim Janssens, from the respiratory
division at University Hospital Gasthuisberg in Leuven.

However, this study
found only a limited benefit from vitamin D supplementation, he said. Readmore…

By Jonathan Benson

The vast majority of so-called scientific studies focused on cancer research are inaccurate and potentially fraudulent, suggests a new review published in the journal Nature. A shocking 88 percent of 53 "landmark" studies on cancer that have been published in reputable journals over the years cannot be reproduced, according to the review, which means that their conclusions are patently false.

C. Glenn Begley, a former head of global cancer research at drug giant Amgen and author of the review, was unable to replicate the findings of 47 of the 53 studies he examined. It appears as though researchers are simply fabricating findings that will garner attention and headlines rather than publishing what they actually discover, which helps them to maintain a steady stream of grant funding but deceives the public. Read more...
(HealthDay News) -- Stomach cancer tumors have genetic differences, which determine how they respond to treatment, researchers have found.

In identifying two distinct versions of the disease, scientists found that a certain regimen of chemotherapy is more effective on one tumor type, while another drug works best on the other. The study authors said their findings would help doctors more effectively treat gastric cancer patients.

"Our study is the first to show that a proposed molecular classification of gastric cancer can identify genomic subtypes that respond differently to therapies, which is crucial in efforts to customize treatments for patients," study senior author Dr. Patrick Tan, associate professor in the Cancer and Stem Cell Biology Program at the Duke-National University of Singapore (NUS) Graduate Medical School, said in a university news release. Read more...

Thousands of research studies have demonstrated
the powerful health-promoting properties of the prohormone compound,
vitamin D3. Researchers publishing in The Journal of Immunology explain
the specific molecular and signaling events by which vitamin D inhibits
inflammation in the human body. In a very detailed analysis, scientists
show that low blood circulating levels of vitamin D do not adequately
inhibit the inflammatory cascade necessary to turn off this potentially
destructive mechanism.

Low levels of inflammation, normally used
by the body to fight pathogenic invaders, become a primary cause of
heart disease, diabetes, many cancer lines and Alzheimer's dementia.
Additional evidence reported in the British Journal of Nutrition
demonstrates that adequate vitamin D levels reduce critical markers of
cardiovascular health and can lead to significant reductions in body fat
in overweight and obese people. It is critical to have your vitamin D
level checked, and supplement as necessary to lower inflammation levels
and risk of heart disease. Read more...

The result of a research study released by the
American Heart Association's (AHA) Scientific Sessions provides evidence
that women drinking two or more sugary drinks a day may increase
waistline size and risk of heart disease, even if they don't gain
weight. Heart disease is the leading killer of women and men alike and
closely parallels the development and progression of diabetes.
Consumption of refined carbohydrates and sugar in particular
dramatically increases blood fats known as triglycerides, a significant
risk factor for cardiovascular disease and heart attack. Small lifestyle
changes that substitute sweetened beverages for healthier alternatives
can dramatically lower the risk of developing heart disease and diabetes
in millions of at-risk women. Read more...
When it comes to treating broken bones and injured body parts, mainstream Western medicine is unequaled. When this same approach is used to treat illness and disease - fixing or repairing the parts where the symptoms of underlying illnesses manifest themselves, modern medicine fails miserably.

In the instance of cancer, instead of addressing the causes of cancer - toxins and a weakened immune system which result in a loss of proper cellular communication and oxidation and the cells mutating to cells that form a protective coating and replicate without dying - we see instead treatments that either slash, burn or poison away the tumors and cancer cells, which further weakens an immune system cancer has already defeated and only worsens the conditions that led to cancer to begin with.
As a result, the way is paved for the return of the cancer or the introduction of another cancer or serious condition. Even worse, the road to further illness is often made easier due to the damage to the immune system and major organs caused by the treatment of the symptom. Read more...

AyurGold for Healthy Blood

Choose healthy lifestyle, nutritious food over hormone replacement

Choose healthy lifestyle, nutritious food over hormone replacement therapy for menopause symptoms
by: Cindy Jones-Shoeman

It's understandable that a woman would like to avoid discomfort while going through menopause. After all, what woman likes having hot flashes or experiencing vaginal dryness? The problem, though, is that taking hormones is not the answer. Natural News has covered the multiple dangers of hormone replacement therapy (HRT), warning women that HRT can possibly cause asthma, ovarian and breast cancer, and other unwanted ailments. Avoiding a hot flash is not worth the trade for breast cancer.

So what can women do to ease the symptoms of menopause while staying safe? She lived between 1580 and 1550 B.C., and died in her early 40s, say researchers.

Their investigation with whole-body CT scans found that this wasn't a unique case. About 45 percent of 43 other mummies also had evidence of atherosclerosis, an accumulation of plaque in arteries.

The findings suggest that atherosclerosis has afflicted humans for a long time and isn't just a modern disease. The study was scheduled for presentation Sunday at the annual scientific session of the American College of Cardiology (ACC), held in New Orleans.

"Commonly, we think of coronary artery or heart disease as a consequence of modern lifestyles, mainly because it has increased in developing countries as they become more westernized," co-principal investigator Dr. Gregory S. Healthy soil will contain live microbes that are mostly dormant when soil is the typical, neglected landscape. Microbes rapidly propagate when soil is nurtured by controlling moisture and organic matter or compost. To get a compost pile started you need straw and vegetable or kitchen waste.

Compost piles can be handled in a trash can or bin but they work best on the ground. Dig out a patch about 3 feet by 3 feet by 6 inches deep, gently mix a bucket of vegetable waste with about a bucket of straw or mulch and a bucket of the excavated soil in the pit. This is a good recipe to get the microbes in high gear. Mound the remaining excavated soil over the pit to prevent smells, finish with a heavy layer of straw or mulch to retain moisture and prevent weed seeds from propagating. Give that pit at least a month to cook before adding a few worms. Don't throw live worms into a pit that is very warm to the touch. Compost piles reach high temperatures and yes, they will occasionally catch fire if not monitored properly. Read more...

AyurGold for Healthy Blood

Inner-Pass acupuncture point improves health by reducing stress

by: Lindsay Chimileski

Pericardium 6 or Inner Pass (PC6, Neiguan) is one of the most well-known, highly researched and often utilized Acupuncture points. It is indicated to calm the spirit and regulate the heart, making it useful for conditions like heart pain, palpitations, hypertension, insomnia, fear, mania, nausea and menstrual irregularities to name a few. How can one little point benefit so many vastly different conditions? Because it works to treat the underlying cause and common denominator of most illnesses: stress.

Recent studies are proving that PC6 stimulation has powerful effects in the body - acting to relieve stress, as well as to repair the damage stress has already caused. It is also a well-known acupressure point for nausea. This action has been utilized by the development of wristbands that stimulate the point to treat motion sickness. Read more...

AyurGold for Healthy Blood

Eating well-done meat doubles your risk of developing bladder cancer

You may want to think twice about cooking that meat well-done, according to a new study out of the University of Texas. Researchers there have found that charring meat by frying, barbecuing or otherwise heavily cooking it can lead to the formation of cancer-causing chemicals in the meat.

The study explains that people who eat well-done meat double their risk of developing bladder cancer when compared to people who eat meat on the rarer end of the spectrum. This is due primarily to the heterocyclic amines (HCAs) that form when meat is cooked at very high heat.

Researchers found that three different HCA chemicals form during high-heat cooking that, collectively, raise a person's cancer risk by more than 250 percent. And in people who are genetically predisposed to developing the disease from the meat, the risk jumps nearly 500 percent.

The U.S. National Cancer Institute has identified a total of 17 different HCAs that contribute to causing cancer, and prior research has already established that these char-induced chemicals increase pancreatic cancer risk. But now it appears that they contribute to bladder cancer as well. Read more...

AyurGold for Healthy Blood

Bipolar Disorder May Be Tied to Body Clock

(HealthDay News) -- New research suggests that an internal body clock that goes on the fritz could be a factor in the development of bipolar disorder in children.

The finding results from the examination of the genetic makeup of 152 children with bipolar disorder, which can make people susceptible to major mood swings, and 140 children without the disorder. For example, a French study reported in 2007 found that BNP monitoring reduced deaths and hospitalizations in a 115-participant trial.

But the new study, published in the Jan. 28 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association by physicians at University Hospital Basel, found that BNP-monitored therapy guidance generally did not improve 18-month survival or quality of life over conventional symptom-guided therapy.

All the people in the trial were 60 or older. All were hospitalized for heart failure, and all had BNP blood levels at least double the normal readings.

Some improvement over symptom-guided treatment was found with BNP-guided therapy for those 60 to 74, but not for those aged 75 and older.

Despite those results, BNP measurement does have a role in diagnosis and treatment of heart failure, said Dr. Gregg C. Fonarow, a professor of cardiovascular medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. Read more...

Ayurtox for Body Detoxification

Diabetes, Obesity After 60 May Drive Up Breast Cancer Risk

(HealthDay News) -- A woman's risk of developing breast cancer appears to rise if she has diabetes or is obese after age 60, a new study indicates.

Previous research has linked obesity and increased breast cancer risk, but "the diabetes link had not been clearly shown," said researcher Dr. Hakan Olsson, a professor of oncology at Lund University in Lund, Sweden.

He is scheduled to present his findings this week at the 2011 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium.

The diabetes link held even after he accounted for obesity and levels of blood lipids, such as cholesterol. It is an association, however, not proven cause and effect.

A strength of the study, Olsson said, is that it looked at the population as a whole, not only women with breast cancer. He studied the medical records of more than 2,700 patients for up to 10 years before they developed breast cancer and also records for about 20,500 patients who never developed cancer. Read more...

AyurGold for Healthy Blood

Expensive, risky surgery for periphery artery disease pushed

Expensive, risky surgery for periphery artery disease pushed by doctors who ignore better alternatives

Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is a slow and progressive circulation disorder most often affecting arteries in the legs. Atherosclerosis, the same plaques of fat, calcium and other related gunk that clogs up arteries and cause heart attacks usually cause it.

If you have PAD of the legs, you know it can be a miserable condition, causing pain and numbness. You might think the study just announced at the 2011 American Roentgen Ray Society's annual meeting of radiologists, currently underway in Chicago, is reason to rejoice. Read more...

Cardiofy Heart Care Supplement

Juice to Prevent Heart Disease??

Do you know anything about a new kind of orange juice that lowers C-reactive protein and cholesterol?
C-reactive protein (CRP) is a substance found in blood that is a marker for inflammation in the body, especially at the cellular level. The hsCRP (high-sensitivity C-reactive protein) test is now used to measure this marker as a risk factor for heart disease. We now know that inflammation plays a central role in heart disease, but are not sure whether an elevated hsCRP result is a specific marker of inflammation in the coronary arteries or a more general indicator of inflammation.

However, lowering CRP levels can reduce the risk. In a study published in the January 6th, 2005, issue of the New England Journal of Medicine, researchers at the Cleveland Clinic showed that clogged coronary arteries had not worsened among 502 patients who were most successful at lowering their CRP levels. Read more...

AyurGold for Healthy Blood

Exercise in Adolescence May Cut Risk of Deadly Brain Tumor

(HealthDay News) -- Exercising during adolescence may help guard against a deadly form of brain tumor in adulthood, new research suggests.

The study also found that avoiding obesity during the teen years was associated with a lower risk of developing the cancerous brain tumors called gliomas, while being tall increased the chances of such malignancies.

The study appears in the Nov. 1 issue of Cancer Research.

Gliomas are the most common type of brain and central nervous system cancers, accounting for 80 percent of cases, according to background information in the study. Gliomas cause 13,000 deaths in the United States each year.

Though little is known about why people develop the tumors or who is at risk, previous research has hinted that "early life exposures" may increase the risk of developing the cancer in adulthood, said study author Steven C. Moore, a research fellow in the Nutritional Epidemiology Branch of the U.S. National Cancer Institute. Studies have shown that people who are left-handed, for example, are at higher risk of the disease.

In the current research, Moore and his colleagues examined data on nearly 500,000 men and women aged 50 to 71 participating in the NIH-AARP Diet and Health Study, which included questionnaires on height and weight at various points during their lives. Read more...

Cardiofy Heart Care Supplement

Cholesterol Deposits Around Eyes Linked to Heart Risk

(HealthDay News) -- Men and women who develop visible deposits of cholesterol in the skin around their eyelids appear to face a higher risk of heart disease in general and suffering a heart attack in particular, new Danish research suggests.

The link between the skin condition and heart disease, however, is characterized as an association, rather than a clear case of "cause and effect."

Nonetheless, the study team led by Dr. Anne Tybjaerg-Hansen, from the department of clinical biochemistry at Copenhagen University Hospital in Denmark, said that the finding could perhaps help physicians screen for heart disease.

And the research, published in the Sept. 15 online edition of the BMJ, "could be of particular value in societies where access to laboratory facilities and thus lipid profile measurement is difficult," the authors said in a journal news release. Read more...

Ayurtox for Body Detoxification
