style="font-size: 100%;">By J. D. Heyes

After narrowly escaping a federal claim of false advertising with a "pomegranate" drink that contained a barely legal amount of pomegranate juice, now Coca-Cola faces a new issue: cancer-causing ingredients in its namesake beverage.

According to a recent report from the Center for Science in the Public Interest, a U.S. watchdog organization, the version of Coke sold in several countries, including Kenya and Brazil, still contains an elevated level of a chemical that has been linked to cancer in animals - months after the beverage giant made changes to Coca-Cola sold in the state of California.

The group said samples of the soft drink were tested in nine countries, and each showed "alarming amounts" of the chemical 4-methylimidazole, or 4-MI, which is used in the soda's caramel coloring. The group said high levels of 4-MI have been linked to cancer in some animals.

In March Coca-Cola, along with beverage rival PepsiCo, said the companies had requested that suppliers of their caramel coloring change their manufacturing process to fall in line with a ballot initiative in California that sought to limit the public's exposure to toxic chemicals, Reuters reported. Read more...

Ayurtox for Body Detoxification

Researchers Perfect the View of Heart Disease

(HealthDay News) -- Radiologists have developed a way to gain better insight into signs of heart disease by using cardiac CT scans that detect narrowed arteries and low blood flow.

CT scans use X-rays to create cross-sectional images of the body's internal anatomy. The scans can detect blockages in coronary arteries, but it's hard to tell if they're actually preventing blood from flowing to the heart.

In a new study, published Sept. 15 in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital explained how to gain more detailed pictures of what is going on inside the body, potentially giving doctors more information about the best treatment.

The research, based on tests in 34 cardiac patients, "is among the first demonstrations of the use of cardiac CT to detect both coronary artery stenosis and resulting myocardial ischemia simultaneously in a single examination," Dr. Ricardo C. Cury, a cardiac imaging specialist at the hospital's Heart Center and the study's principal investigator, explained in a hospital news release. Read more…

Cardiofy Heart Care Supplement

Woman disabled by antibiotic taken for a simple chest infection

by: D Holt

A patient suffering from a chest infection, and given antibiotics, claims she is now incapacitated due to the side effects of the drug that should have cured her condition. Within three days of being prescribed ciprofloxacin the housewife complained of extreme tightness in the back of her calf muscles and could barely walk. Ten days later she was rushed to hospital after a sharp pain in her left calf and was treated for a ruptured Achilles tendon. The patient, Judy Thomas from Devon, claims she has been unable to walk properly since and is now terrified the right tendon will rupture as it also showed signs of severe damage. Read more…

Cardiofy Heart Care Supplement

Another Blood Fat Fuels Heart Attack Risk

(HealthDay News) --
Yet another type of blood fat may be linked to higher cardiac risk, a new study
suggests.

A Danish study finds an increased risk of heart attacks in people whose genes
give them high blood levels of a cholesterol-related blood fat, lipoprotein(a),
but the researchers say more work is needed to justify treatment to reduce
those levels.

"We show that those with the 10 percent highest lipoprotein(a) have a two-
to threefold increased risk of myocardial infarction [heart attack], similar to
that for the highest LDL cholesterol levels," said Dr. Borge G.
Nordestgaard, a professor of clinical biochemistry at Copenhagen University,
and lead author of a report in the June 10 issue of the Journal of the American
Medical Association.

However, a large-scale trial is needed to tell whether drugs aimed at reducing
lipoprotein(a) (LPA) levels would lower the risk, Nordestgaard said. One
compound, niacin, also known as nicotinic acid or vitamin B3, is known to
reduce LPA levels, he said.

"I am not aware of other drugs being developed to lower lipoprotein(a),
but I certainly hope that our study will make big pharmaceutical companies
interested in developing such drugs," Nordestgaard said. Read more…

Below is a review of
a new study supporting BYPASS SURGERY in dramatically lowering death rates.
Does this new study in AM J of Cardiology force you to refer your CV patients
for surgery? Does this require you to alter your INFORMED CONSENT procedures in
case a patient that you treat later dies?

I have MY answers but if something ever goes wrong you need your answers on the
tip of your tongue. It is not enough to know the right answer by the time
things are in court. You need to have dissected this WEAK study enough to know
why you are not suddenly required to push surgery to patients who consult with
you about their CAD problems

This major 5 years Canadian study of revascularization surgery during
hospitalization for acute MI is done by University of Alberta and in a current
AM J of Cardiology. The death rate in this study was ONLY 5% in the operated
group vs. 17% in those not receiving surgery. So what does that prove? To me
that is a bad outcome in both studies because they are both wrong in their
approach. I am convinced that lowering blood viscosity safely with Beyond
Chelation Improved is the correct approach. Read more…

(HealthDay News) --
Men and women who develop visible deposits of cholesterol in the skin around
their eyelids appear to face a higher risk of heart disease in general and
suffering a heart attack in particular, new Danish research suggests.

The link between the skin condition and heart disease, however, is
characterized as an association, rather than a clear case of "cause and
effect."

Nonetheless, the study team led by Dr. Anne Tybjaerg-Hansen, from the
department of clinical biochemistry at Copenhagen University Hospital in
Denmark, said that the finding could perhaps help physicians screen for heart
disease.

And the research, published in the Sept. 15 online edition of the BMJ,
"could be of particular value in societies where access to laboratory
facilities and thus lipid profile measurement is difficult," the authors
said in a journal news release. Read more…

(HealthDay News) --
Even a few extra pounds and just a little inactivity increased the risk of
heart failure in a major study of American doctors.

"What this study shows is that even overweight men who are not obese have
an increase in heart failure risk," said Dr. Satish Kenchaiah, lead author
of a report on the finding in the Dec. 23 issue of Circulation.

As for exercise, "even a little amount of physical activity appears to
decrease the risk of heart failure," said Kenchaiah, who did the research
as a epidemiologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and is now at the
U.S. National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.

The study has followed more than 21,000 doctors for two decades, measuring
among other factors the influence of overweight and physical activity on
development of heart failure, the progressive loss of ability to pump blood,
which is often a prelude to major coronary events. Read more…

Statistical evidence
shows that lung issues such as asthma and COPD have risen considerably over the
past two decades. While there may be a few factors behind this, hardly anyone
includes chemtrails as one of them.

Scientists and
governments have allowed some "limited hangouts" (partial
disclosures) on chemtrails or stratospheric geo-engineering, framing it as
"experimental." They openly discuss geo-engineering as
"potential" solutions for weather control and protection against
global warming.

Apparently, they've
been doing a lot of open "experimenting" since the early 1990s. They
don't really have to deny much. There's plenty of denial from those on the
ground who don't look up to see anything different. Or upon noticing
chemtrails, they will argue that they are contrails.

There are even
internet pages devoted to "scientifically" debunking chemtrails as
erroneous conspiracy theories, similar to "Quackwatch" sites that go
after medical practitioners who successfully treat disease without drugs.. Readmore…

(HealthDay News) -- While rates of lower stomach cancer continue to decline for most groups in the United States, a new study finds that among young, white men and women the rate is increasing.

The main cause of lower stomach cancer is infection with the bacteria Helicobacter pylori, while cancer in the upper stomach is often caused by acid reflux. Most stomach cancers are found in those aged 65 and older. In the United States, blacks, Asian Americans and Hispanics have the highest rates of stomach cancer, according to the researchers.

"We confirmed what had been previously understood about gastric cancer, that in most groups it has been declining over the last 30 years," said lead researcher Dr. Charles Rabkin, a senior investigator at the U.S. National Cancer Institute.

"We found one exception to that trend, which was that young, white Americans, ages 25 to 39, actually had increasing rates of gastric cancer," he said. "That was an unexpected finding, and a disturbing finding."

The report is published in the May 5 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association. Read more...
Taking quality multivitamins is a great way to supplement one's diet with high doses of nutrients that are often lacking in modern-day food. And a new study out of Sweden has found that women who take multivitamins help to reduce their overall risk of cardiovascular disease and heart attack.

For ten years, Dr. Susanne Rautiainen and her colleagues from the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm monitored 31,671 women with no history of heart disease and 2,262 women with heart disease to observe their progression in overall health. Roughly 60 percent of women from both groups took some kind of dietary supplement.

At the completion of the study, 3.4 percent of the women who had no heart disease to begin with, but who did not take any dietary supplements, ended up having heart attacks. In contrast, only 2.6 percent of women from the same group who did take a multivitamin had heart attacks. Statistically, the multivitamin group exhibited a 27 percent less chance of having a heart attack. Read more...
Dandelion is the bane of immaculate lawn
enthusiasts, but holds healing secrets that few people realize.
Dandelion is a delicious super-food to add to salads and soups. It
contains substantial vitamins and a host of plant-based minerals,
especially potassium. The herb stimulates the flow of bile from the
liver into the gall bladder, making dandelion a key ingredient in liver
cleanse formulas. It helps to break down liver fats and is an effective
diuretic. The scientific community has been frenetically studying
dandelion recently, due to encouraging evidence that dandelion
suppresses the growth and invasive behavior in several types of cancer. Read more...
free radicals -- molecules produced when the body breaks down food or is
exposed to environmental toxins and radiation. Free radicals are
believed to play a role in heart disease, cancer and other disorders. So
it makes sense that antioxidants could help protect or even treat many
health problems.

However, some poorly designed studies have given antioxidants mixed results (http://www.dreddyclinic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=3214&p=3892&sid=258fe62f53a591185a259925b7c55ca3&sid=7e828fa71f84a9557d08255f34ff89c9#p3892)
and resulted in the mainstream media reporting that antioxidants are
virtually worthless. But new research provides hard evidence that taking
antioxidant supplements long-term produces dramatic benefits in people
with multiple cardiovascular risk factors.

That's the conclusion
of a randomized, controlled trial of vitamin C, vitamin E, coenzyme Q10

Central's journal Nutrition and Metabolism, show these dietary
antioxidants produce multiple positive effects on sugar and fat
metabolism, blood pressure and arterial flexibility (which allows blood

If you have dental amalgams (mercury fillings) for example, you are inadvertently releasing mercury vapors into your body.

According to a Japanese study, cancer cells all contain mercury. Removing mercury fillings is tricky and dangerous, unless you can find and afford a holistic or biological dentist.

Regardless of what we do to minimize toxins and pollutants in our food, water, domiciles, cosmetics and household cleaners, there are endless amounts of environmental toxins to battle on a daily basis; this doesn't include the residual toxic buildups in our bodies from earlier in our lives.

So what thenshouldwe do? Detoxify heavy metals continually, daily. Here's one relatively inexpensive, effective method that's quite simple to do on a daily basis -- consuming chlorella and cilantro as often as possible. Read more...

AyurGold for Healthy Blood

Ingredient in Botanicals Tied to Urinary Cancer

(HealthDay News) -- New research links a carcinogen known as aristolochic acid, which is found in some Chinese herbal products, including guan mu-tong, to a higher risk of urinary tract cancer.

The findings were reported online Dec. 21 in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.

The study involved 4,594 people in Taiwan who had just been diagnosed with urinary tract cancer, as well as a random sample of 174,701 people from the country.

The cancer rate was higher among those who had been prescribed more than 60 grams of mu-tong (which the researchers said might have had guan mu-tong in it) and among people who had consumed an estimated 150 milligrams or more of aristolochic acid. Read more...

AyurGold for Healthy Blood

Heart Patients Benefit From At-Home Care, Study Finds

(HealthDay News) -- Patients with worsening chronic heart failure may find "hospital-at-home" care is a good alternative to treatment in a traditional hospital, Italian researchers report.

An estimated 5 million North Americans suffer from chronic heart failure, a condition in which the heart struggles to pump blood to the body. In the United States, worsening chronic heart failure is the cause of more than 1 million hospital admissions a year, and patients have a 50 percent risk of readmission within six months of discharge, according to the authors of a study published in the Sept. 28 issue of the Archives of Internal Medicine.

But the hospital is often dangerous in itself, the study authors noted.

In the study, Dr. Vittoria Tibaldi and colleagues at the University of Torino, San Giovanni Battista Hospital in Torino, Italy, enrolled patients aged 75 years or older with worsening chronic heart failure. Some were treated at a general medical ward, while others received hospital-at-home care supervised by a doctor.

After six months, 15 percent of the patients had died. There wasn't any difference in the death rate between the groups, but it took longer, on average, for those who were treated at home to be readmitted. Read more...

Ayurtox for Body Detoxification

Eugenics: Doctor denies young girl kidney transplant because

Eugenics: Doctor denies young girl kidney transplant because she is considered mentally retarded
by: Ethan A. Huff

The value placed on human life in American society today is in rapid decline. The mindset in vogue today is one that looks at mentally- or developmentally-impaired individuals as less than human, and not worthy of receiving the same care and dignifying treatment as everyone else. Even many so-called doctors have fallen for this eugenicist propaganda, denying life-saving transplants to individuals considered to have less-than-optimal brain function.

The heartbreaking story you are about to read recently occurred at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHP), where an arrogant, uncaring doctor and his social worker pawn told the parents of a young girl with mental impairment that she is not eligible for a needed organ transplant at their hospital. Even though both parents expressed willingness to donate one of their own organs for the transplant, the doctor in question still refused, recommending that the girl just be left to die. Read more...

AyurGold for Healthy Blood

Cocoa from dark chocolate lowers risk from colon cancer

By John Phillip

Colon cancer is the third leading cause of cancer deaths annually, a statistic that remains constant despite increased awareness of the deadly disease. Researchers from the Science and Technology Institute of Food and Nutrition in Spain have published the result of a study in the journal Molecular Nutrition & Food Research detailing the potent anti-carcinogenic effect of the natural chocolate compound, cocoa. Scientists determined for the first time that regular consumption of cocoa negates the inflammatory effect of digestive oxidative stress that results in intestinal complaints and is a precursor to the genesis of colon cancer. Cocoa is now considered a superfood as it has been shown to improve blood lipids and help prevent cardiovascular disease in past research. The result of this current study demonstrates that a daily dose of the compound can help prevent colon cancer progression. Read more...

AyurGold for Healthy Blood

Testicular Cancer Survivors May Have Hormone Deficiency

(HealthDay News) -- Testosterone deficiency in young male cancer survivors often causes low energy levels and reduced quality of life, and these patients may benefit from testosterone replacement therapy, a new study suggests.

About 15 percent of male cancer survivors experience testosterone deficiency, which is a late side effect of chemotherapy or radiation therapy.

In this study of 176 young male cancer survivors and 213 young men without cancer, English researchers looked at the association between testosterone levels, quality of life, self-esteem, fatigue and sexual function.

The young male cancer survivors reported reduced energy levels, impaired sexual function and a markedly reduced quality of life. But no one has had much of a clue about the specifics of some of those benefits on the cardiovascular system -- until now. Scientists at the European Society of Cardiology Congress currently underway in Paris just announced that chocolate provides huge protection from heart disease as well as stroke.

That's great news because, despite the billions of dollars spent on mainstream medicine's drugs and surgical interventions, the battle against cardiovascular disease obviously needs some serious help. Our calorie-rich but nutrient-poor diet has led to an epidemic of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) that tracks our rising obesity and diabetes rates (1). Autopsies and ultrasound studies have shown that up to 75% of the obese and 70-85% of type 2 diabetics have fatty livers. And the low-profile but essential nutrient choline appears to provide the solution to the problem (1, 2).

What is NAFLD?

NAFLD develops in two stages (1). In the first stage fat accumulates in the liver. This fat can come from several sources: free fatty acids released into the blood by fat tissue, lipogenesis in the liver from carbohydrates (especially fructose from HFCS or table sugar), and dietary fats carried to the liver by chylomicron remnants. Fatty liver disease is a silent epidemic because its first stage, fat accumulation, generally doesn't produce overt symptoms. Read more...

AyurGold for Healthy Blood

Dr Mark Sircus to release new book on Medical Marijuana

by: Mark Sircus., AC, OMD

A medicinal marijuana user should not be considered a criminal in any state. The synthetic HDL features the basics of what a great cholesterol drug should be," study co-leader Chad A. Mirkin, a Northwestern professor of medicine and also materials science and engineering, said in a news release issued by the school.

The findings were published online in the Journal of the American Chemical Society. Read more...

Cardiofy Heart Care Supplement
