I am a big fan of Will Smith. His movies are just worth watching. Since am a fan of Will Smith, that has lead me into knowing Jaden Smith, his son. One thing i have noticed is that Jaden is usually frowned most of the times as you will see in the photos below.

Everybody has his own pose styles when it comes to photography. Well, this might be Jaden's style.

We must be happy that finally January has ended. I personally longed for February. For one reason or another, January is never the best month for me since i like spending on Christmas.

TGIF - Thank God It is February.
Much of the February hype, here now we go on dressing rules.

Know your prospect's uniform.
Before you meet with a prospect, you should know that company's dress code. "Business casual" has a lot of meanings. Call the front desk at the company and ask what the company's dress code is and what the men and women wear. Or ask your contact. The point is, part of your responsibility is to understand that company's culture, including its dress code. Ask for examples, especially of the senior most person who will be in your meeting.

Dress one step up.
If your prospect is in denim, you wear khaki. They wear sport coats without ties; you are in suits without ties. The point is that you always dress one step further up the clothing ladder than your prospect, but not two. One step says that you respect and value them. Two steps can send a loaded message.

It's not just what you wear--but how you wear it.
Polished shoes, pressed shirts and well-fitted pants always. At this point, some of you are thinking, "Does he really have to say this to people?" while others are saying, "Why do I have to tuck in my shirt?" But when your clothes are pressed, buttoned down and well-fitted, you convey that you are a person who pays attention to the details and are professional

Grooming trumps style.
Even if you're wearing a great suit, if you've got a terrible haircut, you'll give a bad impression. As crazy as it sounds, everything on the grooming punch lists - fingernails, facial hair, haircuts and oral hygiene--matter.

Know your company's uniform.
One of my clients makes sure that when his sales reps are making their sales calls, they wear a very specific uniform. (His company's clients accept this because they see it as an extension of the brand; the company sells safety products.) It doesn't matter if the reps are presenting in a board room or on a manufacturing plant floor, they wear the sample simple uniform. Obviously, if you work at this company, you follow this dress code in order to fit in.
Remember, you can dress in a way where your attire is the only message people remember, or you can dress in a way that takes nothing away from the message of value your company brings to them.

Too many men are spoiling perfectly reasonable outfits by wearing the wrong kinds of socks. While there aren't a lot of sock rules to follow, there are actually a few that are key to making sure you stay on top of your game. Certain socks are only for particular occasions,and certain colors only go with specific outfits.

To make sure you’re not sabotaging your style,we bring you and edition of socks rules that men should adhere to.

White Socks Are Only For Sports

Probably one of the most violated rules of fashion -- wearing white socks outside of sporting activities -- is all too common. Just the other day, in fact, I saw a carefully groomed man wearing a decent quality black suit with well polished black shoes, but when he sat down two inches of white socks poked out of his shoes and totally destroyed his look. This actually made me write this article.

If you’re going to the gym, white socks are fine.

They’re also fine, and actually even look better than black socks, if you’re playing sports outdoors or going for a run. Apart from activities where you’re going to generate a lot of sweat, however, white socks are a big no-no.

Black socks only go well with jeans. Thus it is important you so section off your socks to keep your white socks close to your workout clothes and well away from your dress-up wardrobe.

Dress Shoes Require Dress Socks

If you’re going to wear dress shoes, you can’t wear athletic socks -- no matter what their color. For example, it’s simply not enough that your socks be black. The reason for this rule is the following: Athletic socks are often bulkier than dress socks since they’re usually made of heavier cotton or other materials, so they tend to bunch out over dress shoes. Plus, athletic socks are frequently ribbed and the contrast of cheap, ribbed socks against smooth, high-quality dress shoes looks odd. Instead, wear dress socks with dress shoes. They’ll be easier to slip in to your shoes and the finer, thinner material will mean that any attention focused on your foot area will remain centered on your swish shoes instead of your socks.

Match Your Socks With Your Pants, Not Your Shoes

When wearing dress pants or casual pants, apart from jeans, the color of your socks should be dictated by the color of your pants and not by the shade of your shoes. Black pants should obviously go with black socks, and brown pants with brown socks. The same goes for blue and gray pants. Choose your socks carefully for pants in other hues. Try out a few pairs of socks if you must in order to determine which socks match best with your pants. If you’re in doubt, a darker color usually works better. The reason it’s important to match socks with your pants is that when you have to take your shoes off or sit down and your socks are exposed, socks that coordinate with your pants make your outfit appear more fluid. On the other hand, socks that don’t match your pants will break up an otherwise awesome ensemble.

Don’t Roll Or Fold Socks

Aside from looking like you’re stuck in the worst part of the '80s, rolling your socks down around your ankles looks downright sloppy. Folding your socks looks slightly neater than rolling them, but it’s still strange because it makes your ankles appear bulky, especially when you wear slim-cut pants. Just wear your socks pulled straight up, since doing so will create a lean, coherent silhouette with even the most narrow-leg pants.

Replenish Socks Often

Buy new socks at least once every six months to a year. You probably don’t need to buy an entire new collection of socks, but you should buy at least three new pairs. Socks go through a lot of wear and tear, and since they’re often not made from the best-quality cotton, they easily get holes. It seems obvious to say, but so many people do it that it warrants comment: Socks with holes make you seem like you were either too lazy to go to the store and buy some new ones (not exactly the impression you want to make on the ladies). In addition, socks that are worn out, have holes or are seriously faded can devastate outfits that otherwise suggest you have a great sense of style.

Avoid Socks With Shorts

Another all too common sock mistake is wearing socks with shorts. Committing this fashion error also inadvertently results in two further faux pas. Inevitably, you’ll have to either roll, fold or scrunch up your socks when you wear them with shorts since you won’t wear them pulled straight up your calf -- at least we hope not. However, as we’ve already discussed, rolling and folding socks also violates the rules of proper sock etiquette. Second, wearing socks with shorts visually cuts your leg almost in half, thus making your legs appear shorter and stockier. If your body type is short and athletic-looking to begin with, wearing socks with shorts definitely won’t do your appearance any favors. Since you don’t want to go around wearing shoes without socks, invest in a few pairs of ankle socks that are not overly visible when you wear them with your sneakers. And for the record, steer clear of socks with sandals.

No Socks In Bed

A friend of mine recently told me that her ex-boyfriend refused to take his socks off while they were doing the deed. She then lamented what a turnoff this behavior was. It wasn’t hard for me to empathize. On top of the fact that wearing your socks in the sack looks utterly absurd, girls like to play footsie with you, and it’s really not as much fun with a foot that’s covered up. Also, sex is about skin-on-skin contact, not skin-on-sock contact.

While sock rules are not numerous, there are a surprising number of people out there breaking them every day. Fortunately, picking the right socks is not that tricky, and now that you know the dos and don’ts of sock etiquette, selecting the correct pair of socks will come naturally to you and you’ll never make a bad sock choice again.

How to make a Beaded Necklace

Things You will Need

1. Clasp (including jump rings)
2. 19, 21 or 49 strand flexible beading wire or beading thread
3. Sterling silver or gold-filled crimp beads
4. Super glue or GS Hyo Cement if using thread
5. Crimp beads
6. At least 4 small beads to protect your crimps beads and hide your wire or thread "tails."
7. Beads of your choice (e.g., glass, stone, ceramic, precious or base metal, etc.)
8. Crimping pliers or chain nose pliers
9. Flush cutters
10. Stiff, strong beading needles if using thread that does not come with an attached needle.

Procedure

Gather your stringing materials. The best kinds are flexible beading wire and beading thread.
- Look for wire that has 19, 21 or 49 strands of stainless steel wire, coated with nylon. (Strands that only have 3 or 7 wires will kink easily.) Beading thread is a great option if you are stringing lightweight beads and it comes in several different colors.
- Look for silk cord which comes in a variety of colors and thicknesses if you will be showing some of the stringing material in the project.
Before cutting your thread or wire, determine the length of your necklace and add 4-8 inches (10-20 cm), so that you have enough to connect the clasp to the stringing materials.
Gather 2 crimp beads, 1 clasp, and the beads for the desired necklace.
Slide a tiny bead on the threading material, then the crimping bead, then another tiny bead about 1 inch (2.5 cm) or so down.
Place one end of the clasp (the jump ring) on after the crimp bead and make a loop with the stringing material.
Place the end of the stringing material through the clasp section and then the bead-crimp-bead combo and use the crimping tool/chain nose pliers to crimp the bead in place.
- If using bead thread, you may wish to put a dot of super glue of hypo cement on either end to ensure that the beads and crimp stay on.) These steps will protect the stringing material from rubbing on the ends of the crimp bead, which may cause the necklace to break.
Choose your beads and lay out your design before stringing; using a beading board can be beneficial allowing the design to be laid out and measured before stringing.
When you are satisfied, string them onto your necklace. Be sure to leave about 3-4 inches (7.5-10 cm) of stringing material at the end.
Use a clasp section/ jump ring and the bead-crimp-bead combo and try to push the remaining stringing material into the bead holes below the crimp bead.
- Be careful not to pull the stringing material too tight. Leave a small amount of slack in the necklace (2-4 mm or 1/4 inch). This leaves room for the beads to move and rotate, so they don't rub on each other or the stringing material too much. If the stringing material is too tight the necklace will be rigid and this can make the design look angular instead of slightly rounded like a necklace should be.
Crimp the second end and cut the stringing material with slush cutters. It is not recommended that you cut the wire too close to the crimp bead. 1 inch (2.5 cm) of wire, carefully hidden in the bead holes, is good insurance against breakage.
Finished.
Tips
- More strands of stainless steel wire equals more flexible jewelry.
- Beading wire with more stands should be used for projects with heavy or large beads.
- Sterling silver or gold-filled crimps hold better than base metal crimps.
- If you wish to sell your jewelry and you want the highest price possible, you must use high quality materials.
- Before crimping the last crimp bead hold the necklace in the air to release any slack in the stringing material; otherwise, there might be too much slack when completed and the design will look sloppy.
- Crimp covers can be used to cover the crimp bead and make the necklace look more professional.
- Magnetic clasps are a wonderful option because they will release when pressure is applied, thus preventing the stringing material/necklace from breaking.

Here are tips on how to perfect your outings when going for a night out dinner with your friends.Follow keenly and hope it will help you to stay on top of your game easily.

There are times when you must dress up for dinner.

Although dinner is usually a casual affair, there are times when a little extra attention to your wardrobe is appropriate. If you are going out for a dinner date, business meeting or other special event, it is usually expected that you will dress in at least semi-formal attire. The rules of semi-formal attire are obviously different for men and women, but the overarching guideline is the same: You should look nice without being overdone.

Women

Go through your closet and choose several pieces of semi-formal clothing that you might like to wear. Semi-formal clothing includes dresses, nice skirts, blouses, fancy tops, business jackets and dress pants. Don't worry about mixing and matching pieces to create an outfit just yet.

Examine the quality of each piece of clothing. Since semi-formal attire can be very similar to casual wear, one of the best ways to distinguish between the two is on the basis of quality. If any of the pieces that you chose are stained, frayed, washed out or poorly made, return them them to your closet.
Try on the remaining clothing. If it does not fit you well, it will highlight figure flaws and make you look poorly groomed. Return anything that does not fit to your closet.
Consider the colors of the remaining clothing. Is there one piece of clothing that really makes your complexion glow or helps to bring out the color of your eyes? This is the piece that you should wear and build the rest of your outfit around.

Consider whether or not you will need to coordinate an outfit. If it is a dress, your outfit is almost complete. If you have chosen a skirt, dress pants, shirt, blouse, or jacket, you are going to need to match it with other clothing.

Look through the clothing that you found to be good quality and nicely fitted. Does anything match the piece you selected? If so, this is what you should wear. If you are unable to find something, return to your closet. When trying to find something to go with your outfit, look for the best match, quality and fit possible.

You may choose another color, provided that it goes with your outfit and matches your purse. In general, stick to leather purses. Avoid purses made from canvas.

Do your hair and makeup, spending a little extra time to make it look really nice. Evening makeup should be darker and more dramatic than daytime makeup.

How to Tie a Scarf: 9 Tying Techniques....

We all like scarves. This rainy and cold season protect your neck and chest. Get a scarf. They are cheap so no complains about expensiveness. Remember, it is your neck and chest after all.

There is an elegant quality that comes with a scarf, giving men and women who don one an extra touch of swagger.
In the winter time, you’re probably going to be wearing the same couple of coats throughout the whole season. A scarf will add the perfect amount of noticeable flair and variety to your outfit, not to mention the extra warmth.
One question you hear the most regarding scarves is, “What’s the best way to wear one around your neck?”
There are so many ways you can wear a scarf. The most practical ways will only take you a few minutes to learn. Others, will take no effort at all.
Here are 9 different ways you can wear a scarf:

Step 1 Let the middle of the scarf fall on the back of your neck with equal length on both sides.

Step 2 Take one end (A) and bring it towards the other (B).

Step 3 Let A pass from under B.

Step 4 Bring A upwards to make a knot as illustrated.

Step 5 Adjust both the ends equally facing downwards.
This type of knot is great when you’re wearing an open jacket, and you want the same appeal that a necktie has. It also works great when you’re wearing a turtle neck or a high collar jacket.

2. The Twice-Around Ascot

Step 1 Fold the scarf according to the basic fold 1 and let it hang around your neck equally on each side.

Step 2 Bring one side (A) towards the other side (B).

Step 3 Let A pass from under B.

Step 4 Bring A towards the front.

Step 5 Let A pass through B again to form a knot.

Step 6 Adjust both the sides facing forward as shown in the illustration.
This knot is the same as the first except that it goes around the neck twice. This techinque works best with a longer scarf.

3. The European Loop (or Slip Knot)

Step 1 Fold the scarf according to the basic fold 3 and then fold it again to form a sort of hoop.

Step 2 Let the scarf dangle around your neck with the hoop on one side of the shoulder.

Step 3 Take the other end (A) and bring it towards the hoop.

Step 4 Let A pass through the hoop to make a European loop.

Step 5 Tighten the loop to get the complete effect.
This knot can be made shorter by folding the scarf in half again after the first time. This type of knot goes well with a short jacket, which you can also tuck the scarf into and zip up. This is one of my personal favorites. It looks best in cold weather, and works well with both casual and business outfits.

4. The Fake Knot

Step 1 Fold the scarf according to basic knot 1 and let it drop down your neck equally on each side.

Step 2 Make a knot on one side (A).

Step 3 Bring the other side (B) towards A.

Step 4 Let B pass through A to form a knot.

Step 5 Tighten the knot to get a beautiful fake knot.

5. The Neck Tie
Tie your scarf as you would a regular neck tie – a Windsor knot looks best. This can only be done with a lightweight scarf. This is a very business appropriate look that would go create with a 3/4 length coat.
More simple ways to wear a scarf:

6. The Twice-Around
Place the scarf around your neck so that the two ends are at your back, cross the ends at the back of your neck and bring them around to the front. This is great for a casual oufit. For example, a simple solid jacket with jeans.
If it’s not cold out, wear it loose for a more laid-back appeal:

This one is so easy: Hang the full length of the scarf around your neck with one side hanging down about one foot more than the other, then take the long end and cross it over your neck, tossing it behind you and over the opposite shoulder.

8. The Classic Drape
Simply drape the scarf around your neck and tuck it into your coat, covering the chest area left exposed by the coat’s neckline. If I’m wearing an overcoat, I like to do this, and close my jacket over it, checking that the scarf is evenly under my jacket collar.

Coldness + Rainfall? Get a Trench Coat Please.

It is no doubt that the chilly weather is getting the best of us this holiday season. For those who live in places where rain is pretty frequent, a full length trench coat is the perfect solution to protect yourself and your clothes.

Even football managers over the continent have not been left behind with the likes of Alex Ferguson, Robert Mancini, Andres Villas Boas, Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola adopting trench coats to keep them warm during the football games.

Why are these coats so great and what benefits do they offer that other coats do not?
Warmth: The trenches usually have an insulated lining that helps to protect the person wearing the coat. This extra lining will keep out the wind and rain, but will also keep the wearer of the coat very warm.Say no to coldness.
Length: It is long enough to protect all of your clothes from the rain. Since the rain will come down in all directions and the wind may blow it further, a long coat is much better than a shorter coat.

Unisex: They are perfect for men and women. There are different styles and men's trench coats are very different from women's. However, the style is made for both and often times, a woman can grab a man's trench and wear that if she needs to.

Nice style: The full length trench is still very stylish and classy. The belt at the waist helps to keep it more form fitted, but can also be forgiving for those who have more of a mid-section. Women can belt these coats fashionably and even tie them in a nice knot. Men can wear the coats unbelted and open or closed.
Durability: It is usually made of a heavy duty cotton drill or poplin, both of which are waterproof. This makes these coats very durable, and can thus endure harsh weather. A normal leather coat or cotton coat will get wet very easily, but the trench will keep you dry for a longer period of time.
Shopping for an Trench coat:

Budget what you can afford. You need to know what you are able to spend and how much flexibility your budget has before you start to browse the different choices and face temptations.

Take options. There are many choices out there, so you will want to check them out before you make your decision.Consider the color, length, size and style the trench coat has before purchasing.

If your prospect is in denim, you wear khaki. They wear sport coats without ties; you are in suits without ties. The point is that you always dress one step further up the clothing ladder than your prospect, but not two. One step says that you respect and value them. Two steps can send a loaded message.
It's not just what you wear--but how you wear it.
Polished shoes, pressed shirts and well-fitted pants always. At this point, some of you are thinking, "Does he really have to say this to people?" while others are saying, "Why do I have to tuck in my shirt?" Additionally, shorter men are in luck these days as shrunken coats and trimmer fits are not only back in vogue, but appear to be here to stay in some form or another, making it easier to find flattering,fashion-forward clothing. Particularly if you happen to be lean, there are a wide variety of designers that produce clothing suited to your body type. For example, to find really sharp, sophisticated clothes, seek out European labels; for cool, urban threads, look to Japanese designers who turn out style-conscious lines that fit the proportions of their countrymen, who are on average slightly shorter than their Western counterparts.

Having a short body type often means, however, that mass-market clothes, particularly those found in American chains, will be too large for you. This clothing tends to be geared toward a restricted number of body shapes, so finding your size in these stores will prove more difficult. Additionally, the more you deviate from average height, the harder clothes shopping will be.

At any size or height, the fit of a man’s clothing is the determining factor in the impression his appearance leaves on others. Proper-fitting clothes convey professionalism, good taste, attention to detail, and a certain authority. To ensure your clothing belongs in the former category rather than the latter, hunt down the services of a reputable tailor. Take every pair of pants you buy, including jeans, to him so that your bottoms are always the correct length. What you’re aiming for is to avoid any bunching at the bottom and for your hemline to graze your shoes. Shirt cuffs that are too long will have the unfortunate effect of making you look like a boy, so ensure that only about half an inch of your shirt cuff is visible when you’ve layered a button-down underneath a blazer or sweater.

When shopping for blazers and structured coats, favor those that are ventless and cut short, meaning that they end at or just above the curve of your butt, as this style will extend the line of your legs. Finally, when in doubt, defer to your tailor and have your dress clothes custom made. That way, your shirts will fit properly around your armpits and you can also ask your tailor to set your breast pocket higher on your blazers and your trouser pockets slightly lower for a superior, elongated look.

Colors And Patterns

In terms of choosing colors and patterns for short body types, what will look best on you may be more determined by your weight and frame than your height. For example, short men can wear stripes between one-quarter to three-quarters of an inch, with wider-framed men wearing stripes spaced further apart. Short and stout men should also stay away from heavily textured weaves like herringbone or houndstooth, as they add bulk and draw the eye down, though slimmer men shouldn’t feel shy about wearing these patterns. Dark, solid colors will help heavyset men look slimmer while lighter colors are more appropriate for lean men.

Regardless of what the number on your scale says, however, there are a few points related to color and pattern that short men can keep in mind. First, whether you’re wearing dark or light colors, short men benefit from wearing ensembles in which all the garments come from the same color family as it creates a fluid, elongating line (this is called monochromatic). More specifically, a stark contrast between your top and bottom half is not recommended as it will visually cut you in half. Q: Jeans, we all love them, don't we? Thing is, I'm more on the leaner side here, and as much as they suit me, I think skinny jeans make me look, well, skinny! My favorite pair is a boot cut, but that can't be worn everywhere. What's your take on jeans for the thin & tall male specimen?

A: This may come as a surprise, but the only thing making you look skinny is swimming in needlessly big boot cut jeans. You’ll be pleased to know, however, that a sea of silhouettes exists between baggy and barely there. We recommend the trusty old straight leg -- it never shows its age and works for every guy regardless of shape or size.

Q: Most belts seem to be for either rockers/musicians or businessmen. What are the signs of a good casual belt?

It’s true that denim-friendly belts can be hard to find. The good part is you only need two: 1) One in brown, roughly an inch-and-half wide; and 2) A D-ring ribbon belt in a color of your choice. And unless you own a ranch or a race-car track, buckles should always be simple.

Q: What are your thoughts on why it's becoming so popular to wear a point or spread collar without a tie instead of a button-down? I feel like whenever I'm not wearing a tie, and I wear a shirt that isn't a button-down, it looks like I'm trying to do my best impression ofMiami Vice.

A: Perhaps that’s because you’re wearing your point-collar shirts with a white double-breasted suit and snakeskin loafers? Although there’s nothing wrong with a collar that’s bolted down, the British have long-known that the spread collar means business. It also happens to flatter every guy -- especially if you’re packing some extra pounds. It is even evident in the soccer just how fashion is on top of its game with every manager trying his level best to dress properly.

Q: I've always had a penchant for faux-hawks, more of a Ryan Seacrest kinda thing going on here. But I'm tired of it. Any suggestions?

A: In case you haven’t noticed, even Seacrest swapped his old-fashioned faux-hawk for a more modern coif. Ironically, what’s considered hip hair these days is actually a throwback to a more gentlemanly time: a simple side part created with a water-based putty product and the best styling tool known to man: your hands

Q: I used to think dressing up in a black suit with a black tie was the only way to wear a suit. Fast forward to the present, and now I have a few clothes I'm proud of. I don't have much, because well, not only am I unemployed but I'm also 17 years old, so its near damn impossible. Now that winter is coming up, where is a good place to find affordable scarves?

A: Don’t worry, kid. Budget-conscious scarves abound. For warmer climes, look for cotton and linen ones long enough to layer loosely around the neck. Colder weather calls for super soft merino wool -- the poor man’s proxy for cashmere. On a side note, we’re glad to hear you’re heeding our advice at such an impressionable young age.

Q: I really like dressing formal, especially suits and all. The thing is, my tailor says the length of my coats should be equal to my sleeve, but i think its a little too long on the torso. What I want to know here is, how high from the fork should the coat be?

A: Looks like your tailor is subscribing to an old rule of thumb: let the jacket journey to a point where your hands can cup the bottom. For suits made in this century, you just need to get the jacket to cover your ass.

How to Tie a Scarf: 9 Tying Techniques

There is an elegant quality that comes with a scarf, giving the man who dons one an extra touch of swagger.
In the winter time, you’re probably going to be wearing the same couple of coats throughout the whole season. A scarf will add the perfect amount of noticeable flair and variety to your outfit, not to mention the extra warmth.
One question you hear the most regarding scarves is, “What’s the best way to wear one around your neck?”
There are so many ways you can wear a scarf. The most practical ways will only take you a few minutes to learn. Others, will take no effort at all.
Here are 9 different ways you can wear a scarf:

Step 1 Let the middle of the scarf fall on the back of your neck with equal length on both sides.

Step 2 Take one end (A) and bring it towards the other (B).

Step 3 Let A pass from under B.

Step 4 Bring A upwards to make a knot as illustrated.

Step 5 Adjust both the ends equally facing downwards.
This type of knot is great when you’re wearing an open jacket, and you want the same appeal that a necktie has. It also works great when you’re wearing a turtle neck or a high collar jacket.

2. The Twice-Around Ascot

Step 1 Fold the scarf according to the basic fold 1 and let it hang around your neck equally on each side.

Step 2 Bring one side (A) towards the other side (B).

Step 3 Let A pass from under B.

Step 4 Bring A towards the front.

Step 5 Let A pass through B again to form a knot.

Step 6 Adjust both the sides facing forward as shown in the illustration.
This knot is the same as the first except that it goes around the neck twice. This techinque works best with a longer scarf.

3. The European Loop (or Slip Knot)

Step 1 Fold the scarf according to the basic fold 3 and then fold it again to form a sort of hoop.

Step 2 Let the scarf dangle around your neck with the hoop on one side of the shoulder.

Step 3 Take the other end (A) and bring it towards the hoop.

Step 4 Let A pass through the hoop to make a European loop.

Step 5 Tighten the loop to get the complete effect.
This knot can be made shorter by folding the scarf in half again after the first time. This type of knot goes well with a short jacket, which you can also tuck the scarf into and zip up. This is one of my personal favorites. It looks best in cold weather, and works well with both casual and business outfits.

4. The Fake Knot

Step 1 Fold the scarf according to basic knot 1 and let it drop down your neck equally on each side.

Step 2 Make a knot on one side (A).

Step 3 Bring the other side (B) towards A.

Step 4 Let B pass through A to form a knot.

Step 5 Tighten the knot to get a beautiful fake knot.

5. The Neck Tie
Tie your scarf as you would a regular neck tie – a Windsor knot looks best. This can only be done with a lightweight scarf. This is a very business appropriate look that would go create with a 3/4 length coat.

Place the scarf around your neck so that the two ends are at your back, cross the ends at the back of your neck and bring them around to the front. This is great for a casual oufit. For example, a simple solid jacket with jeans.

This one is so easy: Hang the full length of the scarf around your neck with one side hanging down about one foot more than the other, then take the long end and cross it over your neck, tossing it behind you and over the opposite shoulder.

Simply drape the scarf around your neck and tuck it into your coat, covering the chest area left exposed by the coat’s neckline. If I’m wearing an overcoat, I like to do this, and close my jacket over it, checking that the scarf is evenly under my jacket collar.

Find your perfect spot: Position is important. Sometimes your sweet spot will be a little higher than your natural waistline and sometimes a little lower. When you’re regular bust size and carrying a little extra around the midriff, positioning a belt just above the waistline is usually the sweet spot. When you’re short-waisted and well endowed, positioning a belt lower than the waistline in front and at waist level in the back is often the solution. If you’re long wasited, wearing a belt high on the natural waist is usually most effective.

Contrast: Once you’ve found your sweet spot and the best widths(explained below) for your frame, you have a choice between making the belt contrast or blend in with your outfit. A low contrast belt is usually best for waistlines which aren’t that defined, giving you a flattering long lean line. Whereas a high contrast belt automatically draws more attention to the waistline.

Choose a width: Once you’ve found your sweet spot (or spots — you might have more than one) think about the width of the belt. Sometimes a wider elasticized belt worn a little above your midriff extra bits does the trick. Sometimes positioning it right onto the extra bits does the girdling trick. With a straight, undefined waistline, a narrower belt positioned a little lower in front can work really well. Long waisted gals can usually wear extra wide belts, whereas short-waisted gals tend to look better in narrower or skinny belts.

Add something else: Layering a jacket or cardigan over a top with either a low or high contrast belt is an effective way of wearing a belt without worrying about its effects around the midriff. When worn this way, the belt adds an interesting textural dimension to your outfit.

Choose Elasticity: Where possible, choose belts that are part elastic because you can’t beat the comfort. They’ll stretch with your body during the day. Wovens work wonders: So you’re happy with how you look in a belt and it’s all sorted. But your confidence falls to pieces when you sit down because those extra midriff bits start spilling both over and underneath the belt. Enter the magical effects of woven tops and dresses that don’t cling like knits, but glide over curves adding structure in the right places. Wovens can either be rigid like shirt fabric, or soft and drapy like silk and rayon blends. Both work equally well.
Give yourself time: Belts can feel odd when you’re not used to wearing them. Sometimes it’s just a question of getting used to the extra pressure around your waistline, so allow some time to get used to the feeling of wearing a belt.Dont give up on them. Here are some samples you can check out:

Due to public demand, i have been forced to repeat this article though i had tackled it earlier.

Think it really matters how you dress? If you are a person of your own morals and standards, then you should add swag to the way you dress. Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but people judge you based off of the clothes you wear. I don’t care if you’re walking down the street, or sitting in a business meeting; people are constantly looking at what you’re wearing. Even you, you too do the same-looking at people in church, in a bus, in the streets and then judging them according to the clothes,make up or shoes they have worn. Just like a lady's hair style says much about her swag, too the clothes you put on every day say more about you than anything else. When I first started out as a student blogger, I didn’t have much money though still i have no much money.. So whenever I went out to networking events I either wore baggy jeans that looked like I had poop in my pants or slacks and a shirt that typically didn’t match. So, my swag was far away down and this embarrassed me occasionally. As you can probably already guess, half the issue was that I had no sense of style and the other half was that I didn’t want to spend too much money or else i did not have enough money to spend on clothes. Whenever I walked into classrooms or meetings or went to a conference people wouldn’t really give me the time of the day until they got to know me. Once they learned I was somewhat smart they were willing to listen to me and potentially work with me. The issue was, it took people a while to warm up to me because no one wanted to waste their time talking with someone who looked like a chump. That is true in every society even Kenya, meet a person who has dressed up like he/she is from doing a 'mjengo' job and nobody will dare talk to you-For what purpose and you look shaggy and cheap? After a few years of going through this, a friend of mine kindly suggested that I spend a bit more money on my wardrobe, pay more than 20bob for a haircut, and get a decent pair of shoes. I invested ten thousand in making myself over. And boy, it made a huge difference…

My big break through

With my new clothes, a somewhat decent haircut, and nice pair of black shoes I made a break through. At first I noticed that people were more willing to talk to me when I went to conferences. I also noticed that during my business meetings people took me more serious and people started contacting me for different coding projects. However, none of those things really mattered because they weren’t big break throughs. What was a big break through was that people assumed that I was somewhat well off because I was dressing much better. When I start talking to potential customers they naturally assumed that I was successful and my services were costly because I was better dressed. So when it came down to locking in new deals these potential customers started offering me more money. As I got a taste of money making, I wanted more, so I decided to take things up a new level with my wardrobe.

From Gucci suits, to designer shoes, to 5 figure watches, my friend stepped up his appearance as much as he could within his financial constraints. And boy, not only was there a huge swag, but it was a much bigger difference than one could imagine By dressing to impress, successful business owners started to flock to my friend when he attended networking events and people listened when he spoke in business meetings. In addition to that he was praised for wearing rare watches that other business owners wanted, but didn’t have.

This experience taught me that successful people like to hang around with other successful people as they tend to feel comfortable around themselves-Just like the pic on the left,all these men have swag,no man in a baggy jeans or a t-shirt. Now, by no means am I saying that all successful people dress nice, but the chances are if someone comes up to you and they are wearing a 5 figure watch, they have money.

And when you start talking about business with these successful people, they know that if they do business with you, it’s going to be costly for the following reasons: You have an expensive lifestyle – if people realize you have money, they know that they are going to have to pay a pretty penny to work with you. They know that if you throw around small amounts of cash in front of you, you just won’t care. It has to move your needle – in business there is saying that if it doesn’t move your needle, it’s not worth doing. So if the amount someone is willing to offer you isn’t life changing, there is a much greater chance that you won’t accept it. Due to this business owners will throw out much larger amounts if they want to work with you. By dressing like a “boss” my friend's credibility went through the roof with other business owners and he was able to do things like close 7 figure business deals.

Conclusion

Stay on top of your game easily-So dress to impress but dont waste all your money on clothes, so maintain a budget.Men's suits are a variety, so choose what suits you.
