Don Failla and the 45 Second Presentation

One of Don Failla’s 45 Second Presentation openers is “Do you know anyone who likes to travel and go on vacation?” He teaches how to build from this mindset rather than selling products and comp plans. In this MLM review, I’ll continue to describe to you the teachings of Don Failla in his 45 Second Presentation. Check out Part 1 as well.

Don Failla: It only takes three things…

“You know,” asks Don Failla, “it takes three things to be able to travel and go on vacation: time, money, and health. If I can show you how to have all three, would you be interested?” At this point he shows the person he’s talking with his card, and the 45 Second Presentation. It only takes 30 seconds to read it so he never gets the time objection. He can do this live, on the phone, local, or anywhere his business is operating.

Next question, “Have you ever thought what it would be like if you can Own Your Life?” This is the question that made Don Failla famous and has helped him own his own life. When you boil it down, excluding sleeping time, commuting time, working time and things you have to do each and every day of your life, most people don’t have more than one or two hours a day to do what they would like to do. And then, do they actually have the money to do it? Says Failla, “We have discovered a way a person can learn how to own their life by building a home-based business; and we have a system for doing it that is so simple anyone can do it. It doesn’t require selling, and the best part is it won’t take much of your time. If you are interested, I will get you some information.”

WOW! I’m in baby, all in. Read on.

Don Failla has a way with words…

At the beginning of his book, The 45 Second Presentation, he talks about the difference between direct sales, multi level marketing, and pyramid schemes. (Remember, folks, pyramid schemes are illegal.) He also talks about the importance of product movement – if product doesn’t move, no one gets paid. Period. But because “selling” triggers negative thoughts for a lot of people, he says this business is all about teaching.

IMPORTANT POINT: Let your sales come as the natural result of building the organization. More people fail than succeed by trying to do it the other way around – they
try to build the organization by emphasizing selling. Don’t try to sell the world on your program yourself. Remember that Network Marketing or MLM is building an organization in which a lot of distributors all retail a little. This is far better than a few trying to do it all.

Here’s the system in a nut shell. The assignment is to read the first 4 napkin presentations. The first one is the exponential growth of numbers. We are not talking about selling. We have not yet talked about product, or comp plan, or company for that matter. All we are doing is discussing the power of enrolling 2 and teaching them to get 2. Enrolling 3 and teaching them to get 3 and, enrolling 4 and teaching them how to get 4.

We then add one more column, using #5. 5 is the magic number. No matter how many thousands of people you have in your organization, you only can truly work with 5.

Consider the ARMY, the NAVY, the AIR FORCE, the MARINES, or the COAST GUARD. From the lowest private up to the top brass in the Pentagon, nobody has more than 5 or 6 people they are trying to DIRECTLY supervise. (There may be rare exceptions.) Think about it! Here we have West Point & Annapolis with over 200 years of experience each, and they don’t think anybody should supervise more than 5 or 6 people. So you tell me why people get into a Multi-Level Marketing organization and think they can effectively work with 50 people in their front line. They CAN’T DO IT! That’s one reason why a lot of them fail.

WIIFM? What have we learned so far from Don Failla and the teachings in his 45 Second Presentation?

The power of the 45 second presentation only really takes 30 seconds!
The network marketing industry, independent of whether you call it direct selling, MLM, or multi level marketing, it’s about teaching, not selling.
Sales is a byproduct of building an organization.
The real lesson is one of numbers – whether you need a team of 2, 3, 4, or 5, that is where you need to focus. Never focus on a team of dozens, hundreds, thousands, etc or you are destined to fail.

Small Business Coaching

As a leader in a network marketing company that is growing by leaps and bounds, and having built a phenomenal – and growing – team over the past many years, I find that a significant part of my day – and my business – revolves around personal, life, and small business coaching. It really doesn’t matter what business you’re in. If you’re a leader, you absolutely must hone your coaching and mentoring skills because others will be reliant on you for direction. In network marketing, since your success is based on the success of your network – call it “servitude leadership” – small business coaching is paramount. If this is not for you, get out now! If it excites you, read on!

True to servitude leadership form, rather than view this from my own perspective today – or that of the leader in any organization – and provide coaching tips, here are some things to keep in mind when you are looking for someone to provide you with personal, life, and/or small business coaching. What are the characteristics that you should consider when searching for a success coach? These are important! Make a good selection and your success duplicating these efforts and providing others with small business coaching will soar. Select a poor mentor – and “poor” in the sense that they simply may not jive well with you – and you’re destined to achieve mediocre results at best. (That’s where the poison comes in! )

Personal, Life, & Small Business Coaching – Picking the best, to provide the best

The Jive – Do you really jive with this person? Does your potential success coach leave you energized or exhausted? You’re probably going to be taking a lot of direction from this person. If they bend you the wrong way, that will get old quick. You need to like your coach. When you become a coach to others, keep this in mind as well. Note that not everyone can coach everyone. Not all personalities work well together. It’s not personal. Move on.
Do your homework – In the network marketing industry, small business coaching talent that lacks the talent to obscure their lack of network marketing success is a clear sign that perhaps you should look elsewhere for your success coach. It’s a little catch-22, I know, but there are a lot of people out there. It’s probably best to pick up the phone and have a conversation. After 5 minutes, you’ll know if your prospective mentor has the goods.
Accessibility – Speaking of picking up the phone, when you did so, how long did it take you to get a hold of this person? Whether it be personal, life, or small business coaching, accessibility is key to a good relationship. If you’re trying to accomplish something, waiting days – or sometimes even hours – to get direction is unsatisfactory. Definitely keep this in mind as you turn the corner and begin coaching others. You need to stay grounded!
Servitude Leadership – Again, I strongly believe that, as a leader, you’re goal is to help others succeed. Therefore, in my opinion, your success coach should provide the direction necessary for you to succeed. That is not to say that in providing small business coaching, they “do the work for you.” Not at all. On the contrary, a mentor will challenge you, drive you, guide you, and ask you questions that should open your eyes to your own personal answers.
Walk the walk – It would be difficult to expect that someone who is an expert in one type of business be a success coach to someone in an entirely different business. Personal and life coaching aside, small business coaching is most beneficial when both parties are in as closely related businesses as possible. Of course, in network marketing, they would have an upline/downline relationship. But, on top of that, you might expect that your prospective network marketing success coach be keenly aware of both offline and online marketing strategies, attend many industry events, have relationships with both company leadership and/or key associates, and have relationships with industry experts as well. (Like me! )
Who is their success coach? When interviewing your prospective coach, find out who guides them. Have you heard of these people? Maybe not – but that’s OK. What is more important is what makes that mentor special to your prospective coach. The relationship that they have with others will likely be similar to the relationship you have with them. Plus, you’re likely to take on characteristics of all of these mentors. Is this attractive? Be the judge!

Small business coaching is not easy. Picking a success coach using these guidelines will help you help yourself ultimately become a great coach someday as well. In network marketing, that translates to a large team, and a larger paycheck! And, well, there’s no poison in that at all!

Millionaire Secrets Celebrate Success

I’d like to share some millionaire secrets about how to celebrate success. It may or may not be well known that focusing on something has a way of manifesting more of that something. But what do most people seem to focus on? Do people usually celebrate success? Think about it. What do we hear about – around the water cooler, around the dinner table, or bellying up at a bar, to name just a few places. Right…negativity! In fact, you don’t have to look too far to find people actually competing to have a worse story than the one just told. “You think that was bad, wait until you hear this!”

Sure, misery loves company but, I tell you, it gets old and dull really quickly.

What if you focus on something positive???

That’s one of the key millionaire secrets we’ll discuss here!

But there is a whole lot more to this.

Author and one of Robert Kiyosaki‘s Rich Dad’s Advisors, Blair Singer wrote in his book, “Little Voice” Mastery, describing the notion of a Little Voice. “Everyone has a little voice.” And if you don’t think you have a Little Voice, Blair responds, “Your Little Voice is the one saying I don’t have a Little Voice.” The book is filled with millionaire secrets, including 21 specific techniques for Little Voice management.

Your Little Voice will play a little reverse psychology on you saying, “You don’t deserve kudos for that on-time job completion!” or “It’s no big deal.” Perhaps you’ll feel embarrassed about the celebration others create around a job well done or even go so far as to avoid praise altogether!

That is the wrong approach!

Psychologists have long known that the more senses you use to learn something, the more you internalize the experience, feeling, lesson, etc. Martin Seligman, esteemed author and director of the Positive Psychology Center at the University of Pennsylvania, after studying thousands of salespeople, professional athletes, leaders, parents, and children from a behavioral psychology perspective, found that how you handle success is as important as how you handle failure.

Celebrate Success

To Celebrate Success…

Blair Singer suggests that you need to create a verbal and physical gesture to anchor “wins” into the body. “Wins” can be anything – you arrived at work on time, you washed the dishes before being asked, you closed your first $1 million transaction – and it can even be “wins” from those around you – your son brought home an A on his essay, your friend’s baseball team won a game, your spouse landed a new account. It doesn’t matter as much who “won” as much as it is to create and repeatedly bring to the surface your feeling of being a winner!

As a verbal gesture, simply saying, “Yes!” aloud will do the trick. The more emotion and feeling that you put into it, the more effective it will be. The physical gesture can take many more personalized forms. Perhaps you’re a high-fiver, maybe you like to throw two fists into the air and bring them down as if you’re doing a chin-up, maybe it’s more like a one-handed version of that for you. It doesn’t matter. Make it physical and make it your own.

Celebrate success like this for every “win”, every success.

Then reverse the Little Voice and tell yourself that you did deserve that “win”, you do deserve the kudos, and why that is so. “I deserve to celebrate this success because I helped my son outline his essay.”

When put to the test, Little Voice management, as described above, tends to actually help people manifest more wins! That is the power and the end game we’re looking for!

These are millionaire secrets that cannot be denied. They work!

The final step is to tell yourself that the rest of your week is now going to be great – bring it up a notch. Let it cascade into all parts of your life! Why? Because it builds energy, hope, and confidence. Of course, if it starts going in a wrong direction, say STOP! You have to disrupt and reverse that normal pattern of raining on your own parade.

The Importance of an MLM Event

We all know that MLM events are key to being successful in the network marketing industry, as well as just about every other industry out there, but what exactly is it about an MLM event that makes it so important? That’s a great question! Not only are the latest strategies, products, and trade secrets shared but the more qualitative aspects abound as well – putting names to faces, building or rekindling relationships, networking with like-minded folks, and adding pictures of you and industry leaders to your portfolio! Attending an MLM event could be the defining moment between your business going through the roof or into the ground!

The MLM Event Strategy

Once you get to an MLM event, you need a strategy. What do you wish to learn? Who do you want to meet? Who wants to meet you? How will you make a lasting impression? The list goes on. Check out this video I cut recently at the No Excuses Summit MLM event in Las Vegas, NV. I share a millionaire secret tip for working MLM events.

But … I can’t make it to that MLM event…!

Now, you may hear all sorts of excuses as to why someone can’t go to any specific MLM event – “not enough time,” not enough money,” and “I’m just not all that interested.” Wait, aren’t these the objections in sales that we, in the network marketing industry, deal with day in and day out? The irony! The fact of the matter is that nobody can and be expected to attend every event that exists in their industry. It’s important to assess each individual one based on perceived value and measure that against one’s ability to handle their personal responsibilities. Everyone knows the scary “personal responsibilities” part but the most often overlooked component here the assessment of “perceived value”. In most cases, take your perceived value and multiply it by 10. If you’re even considering going to an event – and taking the time to assess – it’s more than likely to be far more valuable for you to attend than to not attend. It’s as simple as that. Just go!

Overcoming Objections In Sales

We’ve all been there, throwing our best pitch to what appears to be a golden prospect and they throw a wicked curve ball right back at you, “I don’t have time,” or “I don’t have money,” or “I don’t have interest.” After all, there are really only these three objections in sales to deal with. There may be thousands of variations of these but they all boil down to these three.

But you’re prepared! You have the objection grenade!

Overcoming objections in sales is something that all sales folks aim to master, yet few manage. It’s not difficult – again – if you practice. Overcoming objections is a skill mastered through repetition. This video will give you the two basics steps – yes, there are ONLY TWO things you need to master in order to handle any objection and get right to the root of the real issues at hand – to handling objections in sales.

That’s right! It’s that easy folks. Now do you understand the simplicity?

One thing to note here is the confidence to be quiet. I can’t emphasize this enough. So many people make a point or statement and then just keep talking. It screams lack of confidence. Love Your Leads – An Offline or Online Conversion Process

We’re talking about leads again. Heck, they’re your bread and butter, right? Well, as you may or may not know, I spent some time at the “No Excuses Summit” in beautiful Las Vegas recently and I came back with loads of video. So much video that it’s taking me some time to organize it. Yep, I’m human too! I want to give you the best of the best here but here’s an intro – before the event even started – about lead conversion.

Keep in mind that it doesn’t matter whether you’re talking offline or online conversion. Whether you’re meeting someone at the bank or local chamber of commerce networking event or finding someone with a similar mindset and interests in a group in Facebook, the process is all the same. That’s the magic in taking something that’s seemingly complex and boiling it down into steps. Follow the lead conversion steps and you’re golden. Check out this video where I lay it out in the amazing Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, NV.

Now, I don’t usually do this but I shot another video at the same time, continuing on the offline and online conversion and lead conversion topics. Again, it should never matter whether you’re online of offline (hint – you should never act or pretend to be anything other than who you are both online or offline) so this training applies everywhere.

Anyway, focusing on the earlier steps of the process laid out in the above video, having the language is key. Improvising and stammering when you first meet someone is a turnoff. We all know that, whether we’re on the sending or receiving side of an uncomfortable conversation. So practice! Get your language direct and concise, smooth and effortless. In this video, I give you some very simple tips and actual language for overcoming these initial stages of the process. Oh, technically this is called Permission Marketing. It’s a pretty simple concept. Check it out!

Lead Conversion – Is Your Online Marketing All Dressed Up With No Place to Go?

Attraction Marketing is great. It makes sense! Build a Relationship with your list. Awesome! No more bothering friends and family. Hooray! The 3ft. rule stinks. You bet! But if you’re not converting your leads to customers then what good are all these trainings and courses that teach us to generate leads online? They don’t mean a thing and they waste our money if we can’t close. Here are some lead conversion tips for turning your leads into customers or distributors that actually produce revenue for you!

You must have left your phone number for a reason – If a prospect puts a phone number into your capture box – call them! Yes, right away. Especially if the phone number was optional. Anybody who puts their real phone number into a capture box is begging for a call! Now, don’t put the hard close on them right away. You still have to build a relationship with them. Say something like, “I noticed that you put your phone number into the “work with me” box on my blog. I wanted to thank you for reaching out for more information and wanted to introduce myself to you. Did you have any questions at this point?” Obviously if they want to buy – sell them! But if you don’t hear a lot of questions or strong buying signals then back off and let them continue on through the next steps in your system.
If they call you, you’ve got a hot lead – If they call you, take their call seriously. This is a great lead! At least you have to assume that it is. I recently called an online marketer who has been posting a lot of articles on Linked In. I called him at night and told him that I had written some books and had an email list of over 10,000 network-marketers. I said that I didn’t have time to talk but asked him to call me the next day about some questions that I had and gave him my private cell number. He never called me! What’s the purpose of posting articles everywhere, getting people to call you and then…not talking to them? If someone calls you as a result of your articles, take their call! Convert and Close them!
Find out why they were inquiring – There is a question that should be uppermost in your mind when you are calling a lead and that is: “Why did they put their information into your lead capture system in the first place?” After introducing yourself your next move might sound like this, “Thanks, for responding to my ad and downloading the free e-book. Was there something about the ad that made you want the e-book and the information?” The answer to this question will point you in the direction that you need to go in order to sell them.

Converting your leads into first level customers is the entire purpose of all your studying of online marketing and all of you Pay Per Click and Social Media marketing. Take Lead Conversion and Closing very seriously. It is the payoff for all of your hard work that you put in generating your leads online.

MLM Review of Katie Freiling – Beauty and Brains

Here, among the heavily male-dominated presenters at the upcoming No Excuses Summit in Las Vegas (this coming weekend!), this MLM review is for the one and only female presenter, Katie Freiling. I know that there are many very powerful women in the network marketing industry, and I personally know some of them, so I was surprised not to see more women presenting at the Summit. However, I have come to realize that Katie is one of the most successful networkers on the internet. She is great behind the camera, very easy to watch and listen to, and she has great messages to deliver about self-belief and confidence. That is what makes her such a valuable asset at the Summit. The bottom line is that the message is what is so important, not the one delivering it, but the one delivering it has to be clear and sincere, and they must practice what they preach, and Katie is doing just that.

What makes someone so valuable to us as a resource, or as a mentor, is what they believe about life and business, and if they are able to teach the best of their practices and beliefs to others. It is one thing to know great techniques for marketing or networking and it is quite another to be able to coach others to become the best that they can be at marketing and networking. What it boils down to is how you picture yourself and how much you believe in yourself.

Katie has some wonderful mentors in her life, such as Eckhart Tolle and Robert Kiyosaki. Many of her lessons have come from reading their books, listening to their lessons, and taking them to heart. Some of these concepts are living in the NOW and believing in oneself. She asks “Do you love yourself?”, because it is a major key to being sincere and successful in relationships of any kind.

All of this self-confidence and success had come at a price, having earned a small fortune for herself by the age of 23, only to lose it all in the economic downturn. It was these major setbacks in her young life that drove her to dig deeper and investigate who she really is as a person in the social and networking world. Through her techniques of internet marketing and her self branding she has become extremely successful, most especially in utilizing Social Media sites, such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Yet, at the same time, Katie’s most important message to us all is to believe in ourselves.

While Ferny Ceballos and Raymond Fong together are a dynamic duo of profound proportions, they are individual powerhouses in their own right. As we quickly gear up for their No Excuses Summit, and in celebration of July 4th, we’re giving you a big two-for-one BANG of an MLM review of these guys. Hang on to your fireworks, folks! These guys are hot!

The upcoming internet marketing training event of the year – the one that we’ve been celebrating here at DrewBerman.com and gearing up for with an MLM review of as many speakers as we can give you before the event – is happening in Las Vegas in less than a week!!! It was organized by two of the most enterprising individuals in the network marketing industry, Ferny Ceballos and Raymond Fong. How they got all these top network marketing industry icons all under one roof for this event we’ll probably never know!

These guys both have amazing backgrounds, having met while getting their advanced degrees in pursuit of jobs in the Aerospace Industry. I mean, Raymond really is a rocket scientist and Ferny a top-notch engineer! However, these two very bright men realized the same exact thing – the same thing that I have also realized – that we are not cut out to be sitting in a cubical working our way up a ridiculously difficult corporate ladder. I mean, who needs to work their butts off to get that 2-5% raise at the end of the year – IF your performance merited it. I mean, come on, I had more people get replaced above me that I had to re-prove myself to in the years that I worked the corporate employee gig than I ever had reporting to me. I am with you, Ferny and Ray!

After some years in a top secret position Ray realized that he was cut out for something way different. He saw himself as an entrepreneur. He was fortunate to have a friend who was already successful in the MLM Industry who became his teacher and mentor, so he went for it. Along the way he pulled his friend, co-student, and aerospace engineer out of his cubical for the ride. I am sure that Ferny is pretty happy about that! It’s a big leap to change one’s mindset that completely, but the network marketing industry is very real and growing, so why not be your own boss and work from home, with your own hours, generating a passive income?

So now both Ray and Ferny have their own businesses, websites, and coach, and mentor others to great success. They have become the “go-to” experts on Search Engine Optimization, Google Ad-Words, Pay-Per-Click and just about every other way of getting your business to come up near the top of the search engine results pages. These guys are amazing. Well, if you put a couple of rocket scientists onto something that takes a rocket scientist to figure out, then you are going to get results. Lucky for us, they want us to know how to do it as well, and they both speak techno-gibberish-free English.

To summarize this MLM review, there’s no smoke and mirrors, no man behind the curtain, and no fake it ’til you make it here folk! Yeah, Ray and Ferny are the real deal! I can’t wait to meet them in Vegas, Baby!

MLM Review of Todd Falcone – Prospecting Master

Perhaps one of the hardest things to do in the network marketing industry is to find qualified prospects and to TALK to them. Actually, finding them isn’t really the hard part, it is the talking to them part that people new to the business have trouble with. Most people who are starting out in this industry don’t have the words they need to share their opportunity with viable prospects. They get tongue tied, don’t want to sound all salesman-like, sometime hit their prospect with V.V. (verbal vomit), and ultimately end up avoiding it. This is probably one of the biggest causes of people failing in their new business. This MLM review tells how Tood Falcone has addressed this need.

Todd Falcone recognized this as a major stumbling block for his MLM downline associates, and for just about every trainer that he has talked with as they expressed their troubles with getting new people comfortable on the phones. Hey, it takes a certain kind of person to develop this skill by themselves! So, if you are trying to do your best at your new business and it requires talking to a lot of people, because this is a game of numbers after all, how would you learn effective techniques? Well, by listening to some of the best while they are doing their thing. Also, by having proven scripts to work from until you have what works by yourself. These are great training techniques. Todd offers both of these in his line of course material. He is a master at controlling the conversation, overcoming objections, and closing the business. He is a great one to learn from.

Additionally, Todd Falcone is a man who inspires people to take action. He is full of energy and knows how to talk to people to get their gears engaged and moving. Yet, at the same time, he totally real. In one of his recent blog posts he comes right out and says that this business – the network marketing industry – is built on one giant secret, the total secret to success, the one thing that is often overlooked. What is his secret? This business takes work to have it succeed. Hey, now that is great advice! It isn’t new, but it is something we all need to hear over and over again, especially from a pro. There is work in networking, after all. To succeed in anything it takes time and work. Todd has proven this and willingly shares it with anyone who is willing to listen.

MLM Review of Brian Fanale – MyLeadSystemPro Co-founder and Internet Rockstar

As we continue our Everyone-Who-Is-Anyone series, we want to remind you to check in over the weekend because we’re going to have some BIG NAMES in the series posting! I can’t tell you who they are – it’s a surprise! – but it’ll definitely be worth taking a few extra moments away from lawn mowing or whatever other weekend chores you have going on! Plus, a particular BIG BANG – two-for-one – will post on Sunday in celebration of July 4th! On with the show!!!

I don’t know if you feel this way, but I have to say that when I look at the Who’s Who list of pundits in Internet network marketing, it seems to me that their average age is somewhere in the late twenties. What happened to my generation? Sometime I feel like I am playing catch-up when it comes to all of the internet tools necessary to up my marketing game and to reach my dream of a wonderfully successful home based small business. So it really came as no surprise when I found the amazing system called MyLeadSystemPRO (previously known as MLMLeadSystemPRO and commonly MLSP) (see MySuccessGuru.com!) and discovered yet another 20-something year-old driving the experience: Brian Fanale. Here is another twenty-something year-old Mensa type who bills himself out as The Internet Rockstar. I wasn’t sure at first if I should take a deep sigh and lament about being surpassed by these wiz-kids on their way to stardom or to just relax, sit back, and listen for a while. I am so glad that I chose the latter.

Brian Fanale is a very bright man, yet you’ll hear a similar story from him that you hear from many other now-successful MLM’ers – three years of total losses to the tune of 10′s of thousands of dollars following traditional methods. That seems to be what most people do – follow traditional methods and “invest” a lot of money in their new career (only to quit). Brain earned a pre-Med degree, which hangs on his wall, yet always wanted to play music and make it big. His choice to ditch the medical degree and a career of 18-hour days and join the network marketing industry was, in retrospect, a lucrative one. Only a relatively short time ago, after changing his business philosophy and subscribing to attraction marketing, he partnered with a couple of other industrious, inventive, far thinking people – Norbert Orlewicz and Todd Schlomer – and created the most impressive tool that I have ever seen for internet marketing – MyLeadSystemPRO – and it truly rocks! Today, of course, Brian Fanale comfortably sits among the elite leaders of the internet network marketing industry.

If you’re familiar at all with the multifaceted service MyLeadSystemPRO offers, know that the marketing copy is compiled by Brian. He’s a master copy writer. In fact, the Wednesday training call marketing material is crafted by Brian as well! Truly top-notch! On top of that, Brian is highly skilled when it comes to video marketing and has contributed hours of video training within MLSP on the topic of video marketing. He has also, in fact, contributed video marketing training to Mike Dillard‘s latest Traffic Formula product as well! This is truly telling since an organization like Magnetic Sponsoring only serves the best of the best to their customers. Kudos don’t get much greater than that!!! But the list of credits to Brian Fanale go on and on, far longer than we have time and space to mention here.

If you ever have the chance to meet Brian Fanale at an event, jump on it! I did! I took Drew Berman’s advice and booked my flight to Las Vegas! I look forward to meeting him – and many others – in a couple of short weeks! (Oh, and as a fellow musician, I look forward to hearing some of his music too!)

MLM Review of Mike Dillard and the Law of Attraction

As you may know, there is a mega marketing event coming up quickly. It’s in Las Vegas and it boasts the best of the best – 20 or so of them anyway – that the Network Marketing Industry has to offer today. In celebration of this event, we are putting together a write-up – an MLM review, if you will – of each of the speakers. We hope you thoroughly enjoy these perspectives. Please feel encouraged to add your perspective and stories in the comment section below!

When I first started dabbling in the network marketing industry and turned to our great new marketing tool, the Internet, to break into the business I was pretty much overwhelmed by the possibilities and had very little idea of how to proceed. I am computer-literate, so I didn’t feel overwhelmed by the technology, but by the approach. What to do now? I started searching for someone to give me sage advice and I very quickly learned about Mike Dillard. Why is that? Because he practices what he preaches and attracts people to him like metal filings to a magnet. It is no coincidence that he calls his course on internet marketing Magnetic Sponsoring. He is a magnet.

Mike Dillard was waiting tables when he decided there had to be a better way to build a future. He had thought about becoming a biologist when he started college until his partying took the life out of his college career, so he bagged that and changed to marketing. He knew from his early years in college, however, that he wanted to be an entrepreneur, not a corporate ladder-climber. His real education came through sitting in a well-known bookstore and studying the books there. He left college with a 2.0 average…just by the skin of his teeth. However, he knew more about marketing and the way to think for success than any of his school-mates.

Mike packed up and moved out west to work with an acquaintance who was in a very successful network marketing company. Then 9-11 happened and he turned around and went back to Texas for a J*O*B. It was at this new job that he learned how to make cold calls and work lists on the phone – a great skill for a network marketer-to-be to learn – but he hated it. From there he went into direct, door-to-door, corporate sales. Ouch! From these wonderful jobs he went to waiting tables while starting to build his MLM downline for his passive income business.

The Magnetic Sponsoring series began as a training manual for his MLM downline, which became more and more popular with leaders in other companies. Now it is a manifesto for success in the internet marketing world.

To summarize this MLM review, Mike Dillard is an engaging and very real person who learned by going through the grind and finding the steps it takes for success. He has gone on to create the Black Belt Recruiting series, the Traffic Formula series, and the What’s Working Now? series, among others and all are excellent resources.

MLM Review of Jim Chao – Teaching the Techniques

In preparation for this MLM review, I am sitting here listening to videos created by Jim Chao. I have watched these videos many times before. Jim is one of the brains behind Viral Content Magic, one of the most powerful MLM and Internet Marketing industry training sites available on the Net. Jim is a young, twenty-something who has worked out the formula for MLM success, and he is willing to share what he has learned.

Jim started in the MLM industry when he was 18 years old, struggled for years, and pretty much failed. He is like more and more of the youth of this county who are recognizing that the job that their fathers did or do is not designed to bring them the lifestyle that they are really dreaming of. There is a strong desire to become successful as an entrepreneur and not to work in the corporate world or in the service industry for the rest of their working lives. With this in mind, Jim persisted in learning what he needed to succeed, did not give up on his dream, and it payed off. Here he is, in his early twenties, and willing to teach us all we would ever need to know to build a massive, passive income.

I can understand all of this. I went the corporate route for decades, but I am no longer interested in that myself. So, if these 20-somethings are developing working formulas for generating endless leads, I am all ears. Luckily, Jim is all about helping and talking about it…teaching his techniques.

When approaching the business of marketing on the Internet it is not the same as traditional marketing and advertising that we have been bombarded with for years, on TV, in print, and on radio. These methods have been tried on the ‘Net and they are ok at best. But, that isn’t the way to become successful in the network marketing industry and marketing on the ‘Net. There is a much more sophisticated model and Jim has put together a series of videos that are for training us in the techniques that have worked for him. These are the same methods that he was taught that put him in the five-figure per month category.

To conclude this quick MLM review, Jim Chao is the real deal. He is engaging and sincere in his beliefs, and very clear in his instructions. There is nothing better than a successful MLM coach to guide the way. Bring it on, Jim! And bring Kenny and Dave along.

Home Based Small Business Owners Believe

I just returned from a 5 day trip to Fire Island! Wow! A dream beach town in Long Island, NY with no cars, an ocean beach, and a bay beach; chillin’ with family and friends, and came home to an over $4,000 check and nearly 25 new people on my team. And no, I wasn’t out prospecting people in their bathing suits and no, I wasn’t on the phone or computer all day. In fact, I was eating crabs, out for a spin on a boat, watching the World Cup, and having a blast! When I’m on vacation, my home based small business runs itself!

When I got started in the network marketing industry over 10 years ago, did I believe I would actually, one day have this lifestyle? Well, not exactly. But what I learned over time, is that you must believe first, then the business will come. And THRIVE! And if you don’t have belief yet, you can borrow mine! I believe!!

Most people say, “show me the money, then I’ll believe.” “I want to try your products first, then I’ll believe.” “Once I see my first paycheck, then I’ll believe.” That’s like saying to the fire, give me some heat, and then I’ll put the wood in. No! You have to believe that the fireplace will give you a roaring fire…full of heat and light… But first you have to do your part. You have to get it started, bring over some twigs, get the sparks going. These would be like your customers/product users. Then you start bringing some sticks. Now you’ve got friends and family (or what is commonly referred to as your warm market). Can you imagine saying to your upline, “I don’t believe it works so I don’t want to tell the people I know yet.”

You gotta believe!

Take it from a very successful home based small business owner, this business works! Well ours does, and if you’re not getting the results you need, want, and expect – that’s right – expect!!!, then maybe it’s time you join our team. I’ll help you with belief. This means that the average person who strives for success meets with failure. Therefore, you cannot be an average person if you want to reach success. You have to be extraordinary and follow the path of the warrior. Very interesting stuff! It is about accountability and taking responsibility for everything in our lives.
