Along with co-writer Kevin Hamedani (Zombies of Mass Destruction, Junk), Betz is thrilled to help bring this coming-of-age story to the screen.

It’s been quite a few years since Travis Betz (Lo, The Dead Inside) has come out with a new feature-length piece of macabre loveliness. His latest, Little Graves, took two years of traveling back and forth between California and Indiana in the dead of winter to complete, but he has recently finished post-production and is gearing up for its future!

Logline: After over a year of being away, a man returns to his decaying small town because his wife continues to leave him voice messages, telling him to ‘come home’. The only problem – she’s been dead for as long as he’s been gone.

Travis Betz’s original story, Carol’s Carols, has been bought by AMC’s horror streaming service, SHUDDER for development as a narrative eight-episode podcast. Betz will write, direct, and produce the show about a choir of Christmas carolers who are broadcasting over a small town’s public radio airwaves on Christmas eve when things turn dark – the town suddenly erupting into a series of cult-like murders.

Carol’s Carols is an unraveling auditory mystery that will make you rethink your love of Christmas music.

DrexelBox co-founder Travis Betz, and co-writer Kevin Hamedani, have landed their script, THE SAVIORS, on the prestigious Hollywood Blacklist – the best unproduced screenplays of the year. The screenplay is currently being produced by Ben Stiller’s production company, Red Hour Productions, and is in pre-production stages.

In the vein of GET OUT and REAR WINDOW, a proudly progressive couple on the verge of divorce, battle with their own suppressed racism as they begin to suspect their middle eastern Airbnb guests might be harboring a dark secret about why they are actually visiting Seattle, Washington.

Our special effects make-up artist, Tom Devlin, sent us this link today, and we’re still gobsmacked. It’s a Russian trailer for a school theater project. Apparently someone loves the Drexelbox movie, LO, and has translated it to the stage (very faithfully it seems) for a grade. We give them all A double pluses, because this thing looks incredible!
