The event which is happening on the 20-22^nd of July will have an epic race grid including 100 classic Grand Prix cars plus some lovely metal from Le Mans, GT, Group C, Jaguar E-Types and some classic sports and touring cars including the icons from the Euro, British and German touring car championships from 1975-1999.

This year will celebrate some anniversaries with the Ford Sierra RS500 and Ferrari F40 now celebrating 25 years since they were launched. A possible World record is on the cards too with an expected gathering of more than 60 F40’s in one place.

The off-track action promises to be decent too with more than 120 car clubs showing a combined 7000 classic cars on display.

Peugeot have highlighted this by showing that the latest TGI figures indicates that young driver car ownership dropped 12% between 2010 and 2011.

With insurance, road tax and fuel prices at extortionate levels the number of young drivers is set to drop even further.

As a result of this Peugeot have dropped the minimum age on their ‘Just Add Fuel’ scheme from 25 to 21 years old. The package means that you can enter into a three year finance package with one single monthly payment that includes insurance, tax, servicing, roadside assistance and a warrenty.

Monthly payments are determined by the vehicle chosen, your postcode and the age of the youngest driver.

Brought to us by the same guys that produced the pedal powered Porsche 911 GT3 RS this new ‘bicycle’ is roughly based on a Ferrari FXX. To show off their creation the guys have created a pretty sweet video with some rather ‘special’ effects.

Many have been keen to point out that the Adam will be a MINI rival but we reckon it’s more likely to be going head to head with the likes of the Volkswagen Up and Kia Picanto.

With testing of the car ongoing it’s likely that we will see the Adam making an appearance at the Paris Motorshow in October.

The black box may just be the answer for many. Largely unobtrusive, if you can get over the slightly big brother feeling of someone analysing your driving 24/7 you could save yourself a small fortune and cut your risk of being involved in crash by 20%! You don’t need to be a economist to figure that saving nearly a grand and cutting your crash risk by a fifth makes a whole lot of sense.

According to Co-op Insurance, in a story published in the Telegraph, that is precisely what you can expect if you are willing to add a black box into your vehicle which will feed lots of info back to your insurer.

So how does it work?  The box, using something called ‘telematics‘ will tell your insurance company lots about the way you drive including factors such as*:

• The time of day or night you drive
• The speed you drive at on different sorts of road
• How smoothly you drive
• If you take breaks on long journeys
• Your motorway miles
• Your total mileage
• The total number of journeys you make
• Distances travelled
• Details of any accidents

However today’s latest survey by ingenie suggests that there are a significant number of young drivers who admit to playing games on their phone while driving.  Now I’m not sure this means people are actually trying to attack those devious pigs while negotiating tricky bends at 60mph, perhaps they are just playing when stuck in jams, or at traffic lights?

If you are serious about your in-car entertainment, Clarion are currently selling an after-market head unit for your car which comes with Android pre-installed.  Forget your normal in-car DVD and MP3 systems, this one will let you do anything your phone can.  Now that’s handy for stuff like SatNav but would it prove too tempting to launch a few birds while on the move?

Before getting in a car some people neglect to make sure that the car is safe and mechanically reliable. No one wants to get stuck on the hard shoulder of the M4 because you forgot to check the oil.

Not just because of the expensive mechanical damages but also due to the ridicule you will get from all your mates for forgetting to put oil in your car.
