Today, I will be sharing what may be the most important lesson I have ever learned.

Did you know that we were born with a ‘universal’ language that every baby can understand, and we only lose it through the adoption of societal views and modern-day language?

Are you aware that the oldest language of the Universe resides within us, as our ‘mother tongue’?

Are you open to the possibility that you know another language, deep within your DNA?

Some people call it ‘intuition’ while others call it ‘the voice of God’, a ‘higher self’, ‘source’, or the ‘collective consciousness’. No matter what you choose to call it, let’s recognize it’s a language.

For within this language lies the ability to communicate with any person, plant, tree, flower, blade of grass, the wind, air, water, light, fire, or animal. It’s the same reason some people believe they are horse or dog whisperers. You see, these people get in touch with their mother tongue and learn how to use it in order to communicate through ‘feeling’ and ‘being’ with another animal.

Are you interested to learn your natural born method of communication, the one that came before English or any other language?

If so, please follow the instructions below and make this part of your daily practice. In fact, the more you practice — i.e. in every single moment — the stronger your communication will grow, and the more pleasantly surprised you will be with the results.

Instructions: ask yourself the following 5 questions every morning, before every meal, and before bed every night:

How do I feel?

Am I happy?

Was today awesome?

Is my name (insert your name here)?

Who will I see or hear from next? (i.e. what person will you hear from next?)

When you ask how you feel, you’ll get a sensation that grows within your body. Pay attention to this sensation or any information you get and write down your answer.

When you ask if you are happy, you’ll already know the answer. Or sometimes, you might think you’re happy and then realize there’s a layer underneath you’ve been hiding from yourself. It can be sobering to ask this question, and then wonderful to process your feelings and move onto happiness.

When you ask whether or not today was awesome, you’ll once again already know the answer. Pay attention the feeling you have in your body. Some people feel tingles as a yes, or the left-side of their bodies might feel light. Others might hear something or see something (i.e. a vision, something in nature like a cloud that symbolizes something to them, or even an animal that conveys a particular meaning fly, run, or swim by).

The reason you ask about your name is to get a sense of what a ‘yes’ might feel, sound, or look like. Pay attention to this answer, and also if the question before was a ‘no’ what the difference might be.

Finally, the reason you are asking who you will see or hear from next is to see if there is a possibility of having access to otherwise-impossible to know information.

Write down your answers/experience and journal them. Whenever you ‘get’ an answer (i.e. you feel something, hear something, see something, or think of something), assume this is your intuition communicating with you.

It doesn’t matter if you are right or wrong. It doesn’t even matter if you’re making everything up in the beginning, or if you think you are! Without judging what you get, simply respond ‘as if’ you were having a conversation with your life experience.

It only matters that you listen and respond. It only matters that you start the conversation, as the information will become more precise and more clear over time.

Practice this exercise every day for 2 weeks and pay attention to the trajectory. Are you gaining any accuracy? Have you begun learning a language — in a rather fluent way — within just two weeks?

In life there are naturally calm periods, which offer time for reflection, rest, and rejuvenation. Inevitably, there will be storms, which require you access your energy reserves, endure, and keep your head above water. And without a doubt, there will be giant waves of momentum; when you encounter these, be sure to take a ride.

And like surfing the biggest waves in the ocean, it’s important you catch life’s opportunities at the right time, always look forward, and know when it’s time to bail. Most importantly, you must remember to have fun.

Today, I offer you the reminder to enjoy each moment, and to especially enjoy that each moment has been created for-you. Appreciate when you get to ride the momentum of life, and acknowledge when it’s time to rest and rejuvenate.

Last but not least, give yourself grace when it’s time to endure. You saved up your energy for this challenge, you’ve done the prep work, and now it’s time to test your skills and survive. Congratulate yourself on the other side, in quiet acknowledgment that you’re that much further away from another storm.

When stressed, try these 10 tips to stimulate your parasympathetic nervous system, or your ‘rest & digest” nervous system:

1. 5 senses

Think of something you associate with a relaxing sight, sound, smell, taste, and feeling against your skin. (examples that may work for you: calm waves crashing at beach, children playing in the distance and laughing, the smell of love, the taste of ocean air, and the light, warm breeze against your skin.

2. Entrainment

Choose a sense (smell or sound works well) and associate it with ‘rest and digest’. Anytime you let go, train your senses with this smell or sound. (example: a perfume you might not use a lot that you can associate with sleep or soft music, maybe instrumentals only, so it’s distinct from everyday music)

3. Warm bath

Nothing quite like a warm bath, then laying in it until the water starts to cool, and then listening to it drain slowly as you prepare for a shower. I think bath/showers are the best, because you soak, feel amazing, and then rinse yourself off before heading back to bed.

4. Hot tea

Especially a non-caffeinated, herbal tea. I particularly like any calming tea, as well as chamomile tea. I tend to stay away from strong flavors, as that wakes up my palette and often results in me wanting a snack, or something else that may delay me getting back to bed.

5. Progressive muscle relaxation

Start with your fingers and toes. Squeeze them for 5 seconds, now extend them for 5 seconds, alternating opposite muscle groups. Now move to your hands (or feet) and make a fist while bending your wrist, then extend your fingers and wrist all the way up. Then, bend your elbows (or knees) and repeat by stretching them out. Continue up your body and then to the other side (if you start with upper, go to lower and vice versa). Repeat for 5 minutes.

6. Knee Rocks

Laying on your back with your feet flat and knees bent, gently sway your knees back and forth. Start with 1 inch in each direction and build towards full range of motion by only increasing 1 inch in each direction per minute. Feel your low back/spine rotate as you do this. Sometimes, it helps to squeeze a pillow between your knees as you do this exercise. (great for low back, too)

7. Brain dump

Write down a list of everything you ‘want’ to think about again tomorrow.

8. Soft materials

Like a super fuzzy blanket.

9. Deep breathing

With diaphragmatic holds and focus on slow exhale. Breathe in (with dominant hand on diaphragm) for 2 seconds, hold for 1 second, and breathe out — like breathing through a thin coffee straw — for 4 seconds. 2, 1, 4. Repeat for sets of 15 breaths.

10. Wrapping

If you wrap yourself, comfortably and snuggly, in a blanket, so it’s pulling lightly on many areas of your body at once, this works like swaddling for a baby and creates relaxation.

and a bonus tip:

There’s a ligament that connects the top of the back of your head (occiput) to the base of your neck. It’s called your ligamentum nuchae. If you massage it gently, it’s like an override switch for your nervous system.

Today’s thought exercise

Did you know there are shortcuts — or buttons — on your body that lead to pretty much any feeling you want? (examples: energy button, pain relief, joint stability, hormonal shift, biochemical release, nervous system pivot/stress relief, and many, many more)

Your body is so cool. So is mine. How did we get this lucky?

Today, I woke up and felt lousy; not on the first wake-up, as my son crawled into bed and I felt the sweetest feeling, but on the second.

There was no specific reason. Nothing happened, per say.

Now, most of the time, I would turn on a self-healing playlist I’ve built on Spotify, meditate, and change my state. But, today was different. I set a strong intention before a ‘letting go’ ceremony that I did last night under the moon and stars, while kayaking in waters that appeared magical with bioluminescence. My intention was to discover all aspects of myself I have yet to love, and to learn to love myself by day’s end.

While I recognize that this is an aggressive goal – and likely unrealistic in one day since it’s a process – I chose the biggest and boldest intention I could set. I figured if I had enough ‘data’ in one day to understand where I lacked self-love, I would be able to take positive steps towards living in a prolonged state of bliss and contagious love, beginning with myself and outwardly expanding to all those in my environment and beyond. I figured if I did the work, then this may inspire others to do the same, and if I can love big enough and bright enough, perhaps there would be less work for others to do.

So, I knew when I was going to bed and having trouble receiving love that I was onto something. My intuitive guidance was reinforced when two of the best healers I know reached out to me and asked how they could help; they were tuned into me, and in this moment, it became incredibly apparent what needed to happen.

I asked for help. I asked what I needed to know to further explore self-love, and I listened to their responses. What I received was guidance to ‘sit in it’ whenever an emotion comes up, embrace it, and to be aware that many would surface in a rather short period of time. I would experience happiness and bliss, then abrupt disruptions in this feeling.

This morning, when I awoke, I woke up without my default happiness that greets me each day. You see, I consider myself lucky. Most of the time, I wake up in a phenomenal mood, even if I get de-railed quickly. If the first 2 hours of my day go smoothly, then I’m generally in a great mood for the entire day. If something jerks my emotions within the first few minutes – or two hours after waking – I tend to have an emotionally dissatisfied day.

Once again, today was different. Today, it was me who created the emotional tension. Today, I recognized I had ‘no one’ else to blame. I was solely responsible for my emotional state, and I didn’t care for how I felt.

So, I sat in it.

This was the choice I made. That is the ‘work’ I agreed to do yesterday by setting a big and bold intention like completely discovering gaps in – and fulfilling – self-love. I’m proud of myself today, for it took courage to sit in it. I have all the tools and resources to know how to quickly manage my mood, change my state, and feel better. I have the network, the bright-eyed children, and the flexibility of schedule to back things up until I felt better and work through my emotions, rather than listen to them.

And what I’ve learned so far is that my day, today, is different than most days. I’m not in my best mood, and I’ve felt certain feelings I rarely feel. For example, here are some feelings that arose for me today:

Jealousy.

Feeling of ‘upset’, or dissatisfaction with the day, circumstance, and my life.

Brief moment of anger.

Tender love for myself, like I was caring for a child who felt uncomfortable (and I’ve related to my own children more than usual).

Complacency, whereas I typically try to get around the system and do the best I can for myself (I happen to be on an airplane right now, and I usually work the system a bit to get the best seats I can, as an example. Today, I ‘settled’, so to speak, and simply trusted what needed to be would be).

Sadness, in the form of self-pity.

Desperation, like I wanted all life circumstances to be fixed right now that are less than ideal, in my mind.

Afraid, again for just a brief moment, and over something silly like making a flight that has no real bearing on my travel plans. In this moment/feeling, I forgot to trust.

Unworthy, like maybe I couldn’t live a life of my dreams and may need to settle after all.

Yet, on the other side, I’ve also experienced other feelings. For example, I’ve felt:

Empowered, like I’m the one who creates my own emotional states, rather than being the victim of other’s feelings.

Supported, like there’s a plan for me in this lifetime, and it’s all going to be ok.

Blessed, like I can set a wish/intention like I did last night and have it instantly become my reality.

Compassionate, as I watched moods fluctuate in family members (and others) and felt zero resistance/resentment, no matter how they may have affected the quality of our day.

Magical, like being able to affect the energy of an entire stressed out section of the airport who was up in arms by simply concentrating on my internal state and allowing love to fill me up, then outwardly flow; within an instant, it became quiet, peaceful, and I began watching person after person help one another with smiles on their faces.

Altruistic, setting repeated intentions to help others who appeared to be sick or in pain, and watching their faces turn from grimaces to smiles. I’ve long known that I can help in this way while in public spaces, but I’ve often feared the sick contaminating my children as they sneezed, coughed, or grunted near my children. I instead would typically move my children away, wish people well, and go on my way. Today, I chose differently. I chose complete and total compassion, with an altruistic mindset to help each and every person nearby.

Grateful. I felt so grateful for the people behind me in line who helped me manage a cart full of luggage, a sleeping child, and a stroller at the same time through a slowly moving line that was shoulder-to-shoulder. We couldn’t speak the same language, but we were part of the same ‘village’, so to speak. And seeing the look of pride on their child’s face was invaluable to me, as she looked at her parents as a God and Goddess for their kind deed. I realized, in this moment, that by allowing myself to receive, I allowed her to receive. How beautiful.

Loved. In every opportunity to feel loved today, I have felt loved. I have taken the guard down from myself, and from my own emotions, and in doing so, I have felt more loved; and more heartbroken. It’s been so interesting.

Now, many of these feelings I experience on a regular basis. However, experiencing them all today has been a fascinating experience. I write this to you at 4:44 in the afternoon, with much of the day left to experience. How will the rest of my day go?

Divinely, I suppose. And, I propose.

Mourning shows up in many forms; change creates a feeling of loss, albeit through the death of a loved one, evolution of relationships, or a radical shift in lifestyle. In each circumstance, there is a perceived permanent change in a feeling, which alters your sense of reality.

During the last month, I’ve experienced all three of the above-mentioned reasons to mourn. My relationships have been evolving, my lifestyle has dramatically changed from what I thought — and have known — it to be, and my uncle just died. And in each case, I’ve gone through — or am going through — the five stages of death and dying:

Denial

Anger

Bargaining

Depression

Acceptance

When my best friend passed away a couple years ago, I decided I either needed to die first, stop loving many people during my lifetime, or get ‘good’ at death. So far, it’s a work in progress. However, I recognize that I’m not in a hurry to die, I love to love, and this means that I will have to outlive many people who are important to me.

So, here are a few thoughts that have helped me along the way. I figured the process of sharing these with you would help me process some of my feelings, and hopefully help you process some of yours, in the event you’ve lost anyone and still haven’t been able to make peace:

Thought #1: Spirit

Most religious texts speak of there being a spirit inside of us, attached to our human form. And when we die, our spirits go on. Well, how about before we were born? If the spirit didn’t exist before we were born, was it spontaneously created when we were? And if so, was it in the womb or did it enter us when we exited the birth canal?

I’e approached many theologists with this question, and so far, they have unanimously agreed that the spirit exists before birth and comes into this life by choice. Effectively, this means we choose our bodies, and our lives. So, when we die, we go back to being who we always were, or in other words, we continue to exist as we are; the essence of who we are.

This means we don’t truly lose anyone; they simply change form. If we look at this from a Physics standpoint, we know energy is neither created nor destroyed, only transferred. So, has the ‘energy’ of a spirit left the body, but does the ‘essence’ of the spirit still remain?

I think so, and I take comfort in this belief. And, if that’s the case, the spirit of my uncle was committed to me during this lifetime, and I have been committed to him. In all likelihood, I was committed to him long before I was ever born, and I will be long after I’m dead.

Effectively, the gap in time between his death and my own is the equivalent of a middle school field trip, when I think about it this way. For, if my spirit is eternal, then 80-100 years is a fraction of existence, and hardly noticeable in the grand scheme of things. I know we’ll be together again, and in our most natural — and common — form.

Thought #2: Connection

Independent of religious affiliation, scientific belief system, or otherwise, most people believe there was/is one original “source” of life, whether it is God, the Universe/multi-verse, or the original ball of life that created the Big Bang Theory. With all descriptions, one thing remains common: we are all connected, or have been connected at one time, in one shape or form.

For example, if it’s God (like a personified figure) who is the master of all of us, then we are all God’s children, and similar to how twins communicate, so can we. And if we are God’s children, then we are all part-God, similar to how our children carry our DNA and are all part ‘us’.

Or, if it’s the Universe/multi-verse, then every action has a reaction, which means that the interconnectedness of each one of us is beyond rational thought and is imperceivable by the human mind. This means that a star burning billions or trillions of lightyears away has an effect on us, and each of us has an effect on it. Effectively, if it’s the Universe/multi-verse, each of us affects the rest of us, which means we are co-dependent and in constant communication. We exist because the rest exists, and the rest of the Universe/multi-verse exists because we exist. It’s a two-way relationship. And this means we ‘are’ the Universe/multi-verse, although one small and humble part of it.

Or let’s say it’s the Big Bang Theory and there was one original ball of life form that existed before it divided into trillions of pieces. Well, then this ‘ball’, shall we call it, is all of us combined, plus the other animals, trees, plants, stars, solar systems, galaxies, etc. This means that the original creator of life is inside of us, which means we are, by definition, a portion of the creator of life. Again, this suggests we are part of the original life form, or we are a portion of all that is and ever was.

No matter which description of connection we choose, it means when someone dies, they are now closer to the original ‘source’ of life, and I’d like to believe this means they help act as a bridge for us. The bridge is formed through ‘entanglement’, which comes from Quantum Physics and suggests that once two people (lives) intersect, they are interconnected — or entangled — for the rest of their lives. In Quantum Physics, this means that two cells that have been nearby one another can be sent to opposite poles of the Earth, and a change in state (i.e. temperature) for one will not only create a reaction in ‘that’ cell, but in the other one as well.

According to Quantum Physics, once entangled, always entangled. And if it applies to our bodies — and the cells inside our bodies — I’d like to suggest it applies to our spirits, too.

Thought #3: Heart-space

The portion of us that links one of us to another exists and resides inside our hearts, as well as all around us. For simplicity of access, we can drop down from our minds into our hearts and communicate from there. In doing so, we are able to align the portion of us that is similar to the portion of someone else (see thought #2 on connection) and communicate, independent of distance or time. Effectively, no matter how much time passes — or distance is created — we can still be in contact with anyone or anything that is important to us. There is no separation, simply due to death, evolution, or shifts in the way we live.

When I combine these three thoughts and choose to believe them, I allow connection during situations I may otherwise feel loss. I am able to feel and communicate with my uncle, ask for his guidance, receive it, and act as a gateway for him to the human world. I am able to honor, respect, and love relationships that evolve, not only for the way they are now, but also for the way they once were. By thinking about the love that once existed so strongly, for example, I am able to produce the same great feeling for myself — and also for the other person — even if it no longer will be the same from this point forward. We can still enjoy one another, love one another, and live differently. And finally, if I shift my lifestyle rapidly, I can perceive how my actions will affect others and have an impact on them. So, when I choose carefully and only shift my lifestyle to upgrade my reality, I recognize that those I “leave behind” are actually gaining benefit from my decision, as well. Effectively, by upgrading my life, I upgrade the lives of everyone with whom I am entangled.

Does this make any sense?

When I put it all together, death and mourning are an opportunity to shift and strengthen relationships, to honor the past and to look forward to the future, and to believe in the power of inspiration for the guidance it provides us and everyone we love. Mourning is an opportunity, rather than a misfortune.

And life is more beautiful because of death, in spite of the temporary discomfort, so long as we allow ourselves to receive the gifts instead of focusing upon the loss.

Today’s thought exercise

In spite of the pain associated with losing someone, are you willing to consider that death — and change — are some of the best opportunities in life? And since death is natural, and everything has to change — and everyone has to die — might you consider loving and accepting death, rather than resenting it and forfeiting years of your life (and health) mourning?

I love you. And I’m sorry you’re experiencing all of the sad feelings you might be experiencing. I experience them too. I try to learn from them, find beauty in them, and love myself through them. I hope you’ll join me.

What do you do when life moves a mile a minute?

Personally, I’ve been going through a state of complete and total overwhelm for a few weeks now. It’s been challenging. While I’ve had plenty of awesome moments, I’ve also had many of life’s greatest challenges to face at the same time:

Relationships dynamically changing by the day (or even by the hour, sometimes)

Parenting at full speed

International travel

Self-questioning, regarding important life decisions

Mentoring, knowing that my influence will carry weight for years to come; and on the other side, being questioned by mentors who I have come to love and trust, yet knowing — on a very deep level — that I am pursuing a path for the highest good in my life and those I love

Love, being redefined and reorganized in my life

Career and finances, with some of the best and worst I’ve experienced taking place at the same time

Lack of external support, at a time when I feel I’ve needed it most

So, I thought I’d do a few things today:

Share which strategies I’ve used to handle this moment in my life, in hopes my strategies can help you someday, too.

Ask for your help and support, energetically speaking, because we rise and fall together.

Ask for your guidance or any advice you might have.

I recognize that life is “easy” for me, compared to so many people; meaning, I get to travel, do things I love, and spend time with people I love on a regular basis. I get to help people, find time for family, and make a difference with my life. My finances are relatively stable and awesome, and my life ‘appears’ to be a dream for almost anyone looking outside-in.
However, this doesn’t negate the fact that I experience a lot of emotional distress. I’ve sought out some of the world’s best mentors and teachers to help coach me through these moments, and I believe in them and their teachings. I’ve also reflected, prayed, written for myself, and done so much more to find peace. Yet, there’s a piece of me that always wants life to be perfect, and refuses to accept anything less than perfection in myself and in those I love.

This creates an emotional disturbance that can be quite shaking.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not outwardly displaying this all the time; yet, internally, I’m feeling it. I want things to be easy, awesome, and always that way. Deep down, I regret when I make mistakes, mistreat someone with my energy, even if not my words. I find fault in the way others speak harshly to me or people I love. I strive to be the best version of myself, and when I see others sit back and accept themselves being unkind and dismiss it, it bothers me.

And then this leads to me mistreating others. Again, not in such a crazy way that anyone might notice from the outside. However, on the inside, I feel like giving up, leaving, or quitting. And emotionally speaking, this is detectable by people who feel more than they think. My thoughts perpetuate, and they create cycles of negative emotions that are palpable by those who are closest to me.

I lose patience, even if not outwardly. I become unkind to myself, and I feel I can — and should — do better. And when I am unable to find grace for myself, I feel like giving up.

This is a pattern in myself that I’ve come to recognize.

So, here’s what I’ve done to help during a period of overwhelm in my life:

Remember this is a pattern, and one that I can choose to change at any time.

Recall that the first step is accepting and loving myself through the process, not resenting that it’s there.

Ask for help from people I trust, who have a more stable emotional base than I have.

Take time for reflection.

Let the energy out: screams in pillows, punching/elbowing (upper body movements) a punching bag or pillow, doing a workout, taking a walk, and deep breathing with diaphragmatic holds.

Energy clearings, in the form of chakra balancing, guided visualizations, and meditation.

Set strong intentions for the day, and each evening when I go to sleep, so I can have answers to my most pressing questions by the morning.

Remind myself the answers are not the concern; it’s the self-questioning and self-judgment that is.

Love and adore the 2 year old inside of me, the one who is responding without thought and out of pure emotional dissidence to the situation. Think of my children, and how I might comfort them, and then envision myself doing this for myself at a young age.

Remind myself this is one small slice of time, and that in 5, 10, or 15 years, this is hardly memorable, if at all. Remind myself that my life is amazing, and focus on gratitude rather than resentment and judgment.

Ask the Universe/God for help, and surrender.

Reassure myself that any major life decisions can be made later, and nothing needs to be decided right now.

Serve, help, and heal. This is by far the most powerful thing I do; when I choose to be present for someone else — to truly help them — I cannot help but assume a state of being that is healthy for the person I’m helping. My desire to help another person overtakes my desire to question myself, which is part of the reason I’m writing you this newsletter today (as I was feeling this way when I started and am finding tremendous relief in sharing my world with you, in hopes it helps make your world a bit brighter).

“Evolution is ‘as’ inevitable as entropy; accelerating evolution is perhaps our greatest purpose as a species.”

~ (my heart)

Even if you are the laziest person alive, your body is evolving, aging, and changing. You are advancing on this journey we call life, whether you are attempting to age backwards and heal your mind and body, or whether you are doing the opposite.

And, as a species, we are in a state of growth or decay. We are working with our planet — and that which exists beyond the realm of our capacity to think, billions or trillions of lightyears away — or we are working against our planet and the cosmos. No matter what, we are evolving.

So, if we build skyscrapers, take down forests, pollute oceans, and kill off species, we are evolving. If we take down skyscrapers, replenish Mother Nature with new trees, plants, and foliage, clean our oceans, and protect species from unnecessary death, we are evolving.

And, in either case, that which is greater than us is protected. If you think about the Universe — or more accurately the multi-verse — as a system of planets with various definitions of ‘life force’, we might be the equivalent of a healthy heart, or we might be the equivalent of a gangrenous toe. If we are the latter, we will be amputated, and the ‘body’ — or multi-verse- will survive and thrive, a bit differently than before we were cut off.

So we get a choice. As humans, we have the ability to choose wisely, to choose ourselves, and to choose health for ourselves and everything around us. Or we can choose disease — kind of like choosing to smoke cigarettes ridden with thousands of chemicals, in spite of multiple warnings — and we can turn into a form of cancer for the multi-verse.

We all know what happens when cancer spreads. And many of us realize the innate ability to heal cancer, if we change our epigenetics, or our environment to best affect our genes.

When you shift your health momentum from negative to positive — and you do so in a timely way — your healthy cells can ward off cancer, send macrophages (supercells that eat other cells) and swallow cancer before it grows. Your body is so resilient, and collectively, so are we, as a species.

First things first: we must shift the momentum of our health through epigenetics.

So, what do you think? On a planetary — and/or species level — are we moving in a positive or negative trajectory with our health? And if you thought about ‘health’ as a broader topic than your specific body, what might be needed to create a healthier ecosystem for our survival?

Might we need to:

breathe better air?

drink cleaner water?

capitalize off the healthiest of us and procreate more people that fall into this category?

take care of the weakest of us, understanding that when sick enough, we are hurting our own chances of survival by forcing reproduction out of those who are not meant to reproduce?

listen to our inner guidance, and learn how to turn the ‘volume’ of our intuition up?

share all lessons surrounding health, longevity, and prosperity with everyone we know?

stop making an assumption that money is the most important thing, and instead focus on the contribution we can each make with our lives, for the greatest good?

learn compassion and understanding for ourselves, and then outward to our families, friends, and anyone else we know?

take quick and decisive action to improve health — on a planetary and species level — in order to prevent ourselves from becoming the gangrene (diseased-bodypart) equivalent?

Personally, I am in a state of constant flux between creating dreams, visions, and goals, and then dynamically adjusting them to suit life as it happens. I recognize that what I know today is a fraction of what I’ll know in a month, year, or decade. And, in recognizing this truth, I must be real with myself to understand that my decisions — and the outcomes of my decisions — will not be what I predict them to be today.

I understand that my life 5 years ago was unpredictable to what it is today, in spite of my best attempt to set 5 and 10 year goals. And I understand that as I evolve, so do others. And when we both evolve, this means there are more factors to consider, and a new perspective I may see.

So while my life is in a constant state of flux, I honor what is true to heart: purity, in the sense that I will always do my best to care for myself, those I love, and everyone and everything else I encounter along my journey.

I remain true, true to me, and true to everything I understand to be for the greatest good. And, with each day that passes, I stand tall, humble, and ready to make changes.
