Who are these people who are willing to make money by destroying the lives of other people? Perhaps, today, our values are changing. Perhaps, but likely not. We each own ourselves, body and soul, and seeking to shock others is abusive. Jack's actions were abusive and if people had looked and laughed it is likely he would have sought out other targets.

Jack had been a highly respected professional. Then, suddenly, he was glad to work from home in Massachusetts and do consulting for GHS.

Why did Dan need Reebok Man as a consultant? Glenn Hightower had made it possible for Little Dan to have a shot at real success? Where was the gratitude?

Renesas Electronics Corporation (TSE:6723), a premier supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, today announced its high-performance R-Car D3 automotive infotainment system system-on-chip (SoC), designed to expand the use of 3D graphics instrument clusters (3D clusters) that support 3D graphics displays in entry-class cars. The new SoC includes a high-performance 3D graphics core that enables a high-quality 3D display and lower system costs equivalent to the bill of materials (BOM) costs of developing with 2D graphics instrument clusters (2D clusters).

By adopting the R-Car D3, system developers can re-use their 3D graphics development assets, including software and graphics designs from high-end vehicles that adopt high-performance R-Car H3 or R-Car M3 SoCs to entry-level cars. This scalability enables development of easy-to-use and high visibility entry cluster 3D graphics at approximately the same level cost as the existing 2D clusters. In addition, Renesas collaborates with industry-leading partners in the instrument cluster field to further reduce development steps and costs.

The increasing number of connections between the instrument cluster and the various sensors and control devices allows more information about the vehicle and its surroundings to be captured and displayed on the instrument cluster. However, this increases the need for improved visibility from a safety point of view.

Currently, entry-class vehicles feature mostly 7- to 10-inch liquid crystal displays (LCDs) that support mainly 2D graphics. In the future, advancements in automotive LCDs size, resolution, and prices will support an anticipated explosive demand in 3D clusters to meet the growing need for clearer and highly visible designs on a large screen, particularly in the Chinese market.

In the meantime, system developers working with automotive instrument clusters must manage an increasing number of development steps and costs, as 3D clusters for entry-class cars are required to meet both the strict cost and high-performance as existing 2D clusters but with 3D graphics drawing requirements.

Renesas developed the R-Car D3 with these functions and performance capabilities in mind, offering developers a reliable, robust 3D clusters solution that is scalable from entry-level to high-end vehicles.

The new SoC includes a 3D graphics core that enables high-performance human-machine interface (HMI) and realizes significantly reduced system development cost equivalent to those of existing 2D cluster systems.

3D graphics core that enables high-performance HMI

Leveraging one of the latest graphics cores from Imagination Technologies, Inc, the Power VR® Series 8XE, the R-Car D3 achieves approximately six times improved drawing performance compared to the existing 3D graphics R-Car D1 SoC.

This allows system developers to reuse content created for high-end cars in entry-class cars, and system designers who had previously been concerned about hardware graphics performance limitations can now create graphics content without concern or limitations.

Reduced system costs by approximately 40 percent compared to existing Renesas devices (Note 1)

The R-Car D3 adopts the ball grid array (BGA) package, which simplifies the use of printed circuit boards (PCBs). This allows system developers to create 3D clusters using low-cost, four-layer PCBs, reducing the system BOM costs. The Renesas R-Car D3 reference boards, also use four-layer PCBs, and Renesas provides the design data as reference data for system developers to simplify the design of their own systems. In addition, since the new SoC achieves industry-leading level of low power consumption (Note 1), developers can configure a power supply circuit using a relatively inexpensive discrete power supply regulator. Since a cluster system can be configured with one DDR SDRAM, it is possible to reduce BOM cost by approximately 40 percent (Note 1) compared with 3D cluster systems that include the existing R-Car D1, realizing the total system development cost equivalent to the existing 2D cluster. The automatic memory calibration function (Note 2) of the DDR SDRAM, which is standard in R-Car SoCs, eliminates the need for timing adjustment of data transfer with the SRAM and memory evaluation man-hours requirements.

Robust partner ecosystem to streamline development steps

Renesas works with several operating system (OS) manufacturers, HMI manufacturers, and system integrators who are leading the instrument cluster field. System developers can take advantage of a wide range of automotive solutions by working with the more than 200 Renesas R-Car Consortium partner companies to further reduce the number of development steps and cost for 3D graphics.

In addition, the R-Car D3 uses open GL ES 3.1 for 3D graphics drawing, which enables scalability with third-generation R-Car devices. Furthermore, the new SoC uses the same 2D graphics core as the RH850/D1M microcontroller (MCU) for 2D graphics applications. This assures that users will be able to reuse all their software assets and design content assets development from applications ranging from 2D clusters to high-end 3D clusters.

As part of the third-generation R-Car SoC Family, the R-Car D3 supports the ISO 26262 (ASIL-B) automotive functional safety standard, and provides a functional safety support program for implementing safe driving support systems, contributing to the realization of a safe driving experience.

Availability

Samples of the R-Car D3 are available now. Mass production is scheduled to begin in September 2019 and is expected to reach a volume of 200,000 units per month in September 2020. (Availability is subject to change without notice.)

Analysts believe that BlackBerry may make acquisitions of companies to strengthen its business in three areas

BlackBerry Ltd. got a lot of attention last Wednesday after it announced a new partnership that will see the Canadian technology firm’s QNX software used as the operating system for Delphi Automotive Plc’s self-driving technology. Why would this matter? Because the wifi in the place where I am staying suddenly, to the surprise of everyone there suddenly stopped working. And I found an interesting wifi connection, secured, on the list.

The list goes on from there for quite a ways.

Today, this suddenly reminded me of the traumatic period early last year when I was being stalked and threatened at my cabin in the Sierras. For three months we, myself and my disabled son, endured freezing and near starvation. You might ask why I did not get help from other people in the area. I can tell you it was not because I did not try. No one came.

A Look at the Neighborhood

"At 6:16 this morning these were the available WiFis on Circle Way, Cedar Slope. Mine are Harriet and the HP-Print-88-Officejet 4630 is my printer.

This is especially interesting because no one is staying at any cabin around here - except for us. Personally, I think both the other routers, or other wifi devices are at the Greenfield cabin. Greenfield Cabin 5.4 and FBI Surveillance come and go but generally travel together, appearing one after another and staying around while my AVG repair goes nuts keeping this computer operating. Why would that be?

11:57am - Hey! Where did Greenfield and FBI Surveillance go? They all of a sudden disappeared. I wonder why?

12:01pm - And guess what???? No more huge piles of hacks to be handled. Must be a coincidence, right?" MORE

The story began much earlier. John Greenfield had been the president of the Cedar Slope

On January 1, 2016, I fell on the black, compacted ice at the end of our driveway. I crawled back to the cabin growing steadily colder and more sodden with water warmed by by sweat. The distance was 100 feet, more or less.

The accumulation of snow was caused by several men in loud vehicles driving over it over and over again up into my drive way. I had been clearing what I could before this. Greenfield was one of those men.

Afterward, I suffered the injury, caused by these men, this was not possible.

I called two friends, who are both nurses and described the symptoms. Independently each said it sounded like the symptoms of a hair-line fracture of my pelvis and told me adamantly to stay in bed. Fortunately, I had a bottle of aspirin which allowed me to kill enough of the pain so I could crawl to the bathroom and feed myself and Arthur.

These posts, and the several previous to it, is from the Cedar Slope Blog. The relevant stories are linked below, for as long as the links last I have discovered someone is perfectly capable of changing links to bizarre locations and disappearing articles. Of course, that would mean Google is involved.

Two of the 'available' wifi connections are mine. The cabin was a half mile from any other occupied residence. The two you see, Harriet and the HP-88-Officejet 4530 Printer, were mine. The printer had was not set up to be used wirelessly. The other two are Greenfield Cabin 5.4 and FBI Surveillance. More on John Greenfield at the end of this post.

Here is my experience with him from the time he visited our cabin around 1989 on. Yep, it is true every word of it. I think he has a lot in common with Craig, for sure.

Notice he now works for CaseText, a site I visited once, briefly, in 2015. Thereafter, they contacted me several times offering to let me do my legal research there. They did not request I pay for these services.

While I was enduring being boxed in at the cabin Greenfield was always looking to see me, watching him from the cabin, as he drove back and forth, compressing the snow into ice.

Now, John's career includes services to corporate clients. These services appear to include whatever needs doing. Could that be to act as Craig and Dan's agent in my destruction? Given the actions taken by Craig and Dan this is a reasonable assumption.

BERLIN — Several thousand demonstrators formed a human chain along the perimeter of a U.S. Air Force Base in southwest Germany on Saturday in protest against drone operations by the United States.

The demonstration was organized by the alliance "Stop Ramstein - No Drone War", which says the Ramstein base transmits information between operators in the United States and unmanned drone aircraft in places such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen and Syria.

COMMENTARY - It all happened because, Dan O'Dowd, who never served in the military, wanted to be richer than Bill Gates. Green Hills was funded by a successful graduate of CalTech, in fact a guy who had hired Dan. In retrospect Glenn must realize this was a real mistake.

Dan was obsessed over being richer than Gates - and to do that he had to shed his partners. First, he bought out Carl. Then the hard part, getting rid of Glenn Hightower.

Dan cut a deal with Craig, who had been essential to his actually selling any software.

Craig would persuade the critical personnel to refuse to work for Glenn after he, Dan, exercised their sudden death partnership agreement. Extra stock to these cooperative folks sweetened the deal. Dan agreed to defraud Craig's wife out of her share of stock, a marital asset and kill her off.

Just a cost of doing business, you know.

The NeoCons were just coming into power and it was a heady world for Dan. Between the co-conspirators they lied their way through the lawsuit Glenn hired and destroyed Craig's wife financially, nearly succeeded in killing off the couple's son, who had suffered a brain injury and therefore needed to be eliminated as far as Craig and Dan were concerned because keeping him alive would cost too much.

But for reasons outlined elsewhere all of this lead to lots and lots of government contracts for Dan.

Of course, Craig was a sexual deviant and wanted to rape the daughters he had adopted along with their son. None of that bothered Dan, not a bit. After all, he was getting richer every day selling software to blow up children overseas. So what do a few more kids matter?

This is an excellent example of what you can expect from those without conscience and a compelling argument for Dr. Robert Hare's proposal that the officers of corporations be tested for psychopathy. Read Snakes in Suits.

This explains why Dan does not approve of wikileaks or people having information he thinks unnecessary for them to know. And don't ask him what he thinks about Edward Snowden.

If the Wikileaks scandal shows anything it proves that no system is secure as people may think it is -- especially software virtualization systems, said Dan O'Dowd, chief executive officer of Green Hills Software during the company’s Software Elite Users Technology Summit. "Virtualization adds nothing to security," he added.

O'Dowd pointed out that virtualization systems have less code, "but that just means they are less bad, not more secure. Running bug-ridden operating systems in virtual machines does not solve the security issue unless the virtualization system itself is secure."

He then made a point that I think resonates well beyond virtualization systems. "The security claims of popular virtualization systems are just marketing fluff to exploit the desperate need of all computer users for security," O'Dowd says. Obama to Increase Drone Wars

Barack Obama's 'Step Program' for combating terrorism provides a transition to the automated war machine which takes the judgment of individual military out of the equation.

There are two reasons for this. The first is cost. The largest portion of the reduction is personnel costs. This leaves room to increase profits to the military-industrial complex which controls our government. The second reason is that machines have no conscience.

They follow orders and feel no empathy or compassion.

We cannot allow this to happen.

The DOD has been opposing this move to automation for some time. Many within America's military understand anonymous killing by drones and other arms length technologies have, demonstrably, traumatized and murdered innocent civilians in every instance where they are used.

All people have rights, including the right to life. Our rights are inherent, vested in us by God, not by the Constitution or government.

America's behavior in this is nothing less than criminal. Those responsible, including the leadership of the last two administrations plus the Clintons and Sidney Blumenthal for their efforts to bring on the War in Iraq, should be arrested and tried for treason.

Knowing your mother, grandmother, child or other loved one can be blown to bits before your eyes has produced a natural hostility and distrust of our nation. Do you feel warm and fuzzy about Muslims right now? No. Is this fair? Again, no. But it is human and is dividing us and building distrust where once a global community was growing.

All of us are angry and traumatized by the killings in San Bernardino. I made multiple calls to a friend who lives there in the hours following the mass murder. Hearing her voice brought me to tears of relief.

President Obama is increasing the danger to American with the policy he mandates for war on terror. He is making it far more likely this kind of killing will increase.

The police who handled the crisis in San Bernardino acted just as they should have and deserve to be thanked, commended, and trusted. Seeing this warmed hearts and helped bring the community and those watching together.

However, we need to avoid generalizing their courageous individual and group response as reflecting on other law enforcement personnel and jurisdictions which continue to show they do not understand their obligations under the Constitution and routinely violate the rights of those they are paid to protect and defend.

Trust must be earned or it only makes us vulnerable.

A people who fear their government are not free. Today, Americans fear both terrorists and their government. This must change. We need a president who will end the corporate wars and make peace the mission.

A stunning new exposé by The Intercept, which includes the publication of classified documents leaked by an intelligence source, provides an unprecedented look at the U.S. military's secretive global assassination program.

The series of articles, titled The Drone Papers, follows months of investigation and uses rare primary source documents and slides to reveal to the public, for the first time, the flaws and consequences of the U.S. military's 14-year aerial campaign being conducted in Yemen, Somalia, and Afghanistan—one that has consistently used faulty information, killed an untold number of civilians, and stymied intelligence-gathering through its "kill/capture" program that too often relies on killing rather than capturing.

WASHINGTON, 2 June 2015. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents are using a fleet of small aircraft – under the front of fictitious businesses – armed with electro-optics over the United States. The low-flying planes are equipped with video and cell phone surveillance systems, largely being used without the consent of a judge, to gather intelligence related to specific, ongoing investigations, according to reports.

An FBI official revealed that the federal agency flew surveillance aircraft, under the guise of fake companies, over more than 30 cities in 11 states throughout the U.S. in just the past month.

A large and growing crowd of U.S. citizens are voicing concerns over, if not outright objecting, to the use of aircraft – especially unmanned aircraft systems (UAS); many groups have formed in protest, citing privacy infringement and safety fears. This revelation about the FBI’s use of small aircraft to surveil the public certainly won’t allay those fears. Will it set the aerospace industry back, or slow adoption of small and even unmanned aircraft for myriad commercial applications?

Reporters at the Associated Press (AP) broke the news today, marking the first time “law enforcement officials have confirmed the wide-scale use of the aircraft, which the AP traced to at least 13 fake companies.”

“The FBI’s aviation program is not secret,” FBI Spokesperson Christopher Allen said in a statement. FBI.gov provides the following description of the use of aircraft by the agency’s Critical Incident Response Group (CIRG):

Mobile device maker BlackBerry (BBRY) has appointed David Kleidermacher as its new chief security officer. In his role, Kleidermacher will be responsible for ensuring the success of BlackBerry’s Product Security organization and driving the company’s initiatives in secure enterprise mobility.

Kleidermacher will also oversee BlackBerry’s security-specific research and product development as well as the company’s product certification and approval program, according to the announcement.

ARLINGTON, Va., 26 Nov. 2014. Laser weapons experts at the Northrop Grumman Corp. Aerospace Systems segment in Redondo Beach, Calif., are moving forward with a military research program to use lasers for defending manned and unmanned military aircraft from heat-seeking missiles.

Officials of the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in Arlington, Va., announced a $20.2 million contract to Northrop Grumman on Friday for the second phase of the DARPA Project Endurance to develop laser weapons to defend aircraft from electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR)-guided surface-to-air missiles.

Late last year DARPA awarded a $14.6 million contract to Northrop Grumman for the first phase of Project Endurance. Also receiving a phase-one contract for the program was the Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training segment in Akron, Ohio.

I was busy with other matters which actually have a direct relationship to the unbridled greed and lack of conscience exhibited by War Contractors. But I wonder if Nigel could enlighten us on a curious issue which came up a few months ago when I was Googling INTEGRITY Global Security, LLC

INTEGRITY Global Security is one of the multiplicity of companies and corporations where Dan is piling up the product of his unbridled and unprincipled greed. I say one because when I went poking around I found many more. Those do not appear to be openly owned by Dan.

Remember, Dan's sole ambition is to be wealthier that Bill Gates and this could well be his strategy for achieving that goal while remaining largely anonymous. Clever Dan!

The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) is funding a multimillion dollar university research program to develop new data mining and analysis tools for the U.S. military intelligence community to track political radicalism among British Muslims and other activist groups around the world.

Leading intelligence experts including former National Security Agency (NSA) official Thomas Drake – the whistleblower who inspired Edward Snowden – confirm that the tools are designed to enhance the intelligence community’s capabilities to identify potential terrorism suspects that could face a range of sanctions, from surveillance to no-fly injunctions to, at worst, being targeted for extrajudicial assassination via the CIA’s "kill lists."

But, they say, inherent flaws in the program are instead likely to facilitate the criminalization of political dissent and the targeting of innocent civilians – and that such trends are increasingly likely to affect not just "hostile theatres" abroad, but even domestic populations in the U.S., Britain and Europe. In response to a Freedom of Information Request filed by the ACLU, the Department of Justice this week released the memo providing legal analysis in support of justification for the 2011 assassination of Anwar al Awlaki, a US national living in Yemen.

Al Awlaki, who was born in New Mexico, was a Muslim cleric considered to be in a leadership position in Al Qaeda. He was killed in a targeted drone strike in Yemen, after Obama placed him on the targeted assassination list in 2010. The fact that President Obama had taken the unprecedented step of ordering the assassination of a US citizen was repeatedly highlighted in the press. The ACLU went to court to attempt to inhibit the assassination, albeit unsuccessfully.

The DOJ memo, authored by David Barron, is a compelling study in government double speak. Large chunks of the memo were redacted before its release, with approximately ¼ removed from public purview.

What was made available to the public delves into the legal inhibitions which might come into play with a targeted government murder of a US citizen. Title 18 Section 1119 of the US Code is referenced repeatedly, and the prohibitions against murder contained in this section resolved essentially due to the invocation of “public authority.” MORE
