22 Feb. Event: Alcohol guidelines forum

FARE (Foundation for Alcohol Research and Education) will be hosting a forum on Australia's alcohol guidelines, to explore:

the role of the Guidelines in promoting messages around alcohol consumption
the work being done to promote the Guidelines at a national and local level
the role of the Guidelines in increasing awareness of the harms associated with risky drinking among the general public.

The forum will be held in Carlton, Victoria on Tuesday, 6 March 2012.

Those unable to attend will be able to follow the event on Twitter using the hashtag #AlcGuidelines.

On March 6, from 1–1.45 pm, you are invited to take part in a webinar, discussing issues and answering questions about the new secondary supply legislation (teen drinking law).

NCETA (National Centre for Education and Training on Addiction) has released Alcohol and Other Drug VET Qualifications and Training Providers Database, which lists up-to-date details of the providers of alcohol and other drug (AOD)-related vocational education qualifications, as at 30 August 2011.

It includes publically funded Technical and Further Education Institutes (TAFEs) and industry based and private registered training organisations (RTOs).
