In preperation for the new remake we decide to focus on the original A Nightmare On Elm Street.  I don’t think we really bring any new insight into the movie because how can you really?  So we just sort of give our fond thoughts on the movie and the series as a whole.  The big bonus for this episode is that we have an interview with one of the stars of the original movie, the legendary JOHN SAXON!  Bryan also discusses some of the deleted scenes cut out of the original movie but edited back into a fan edit that he got from Brother D back at HHW.  So enjoy and check out some of Bryan’s personal Nightmare related photos below.

We review the film GIRL NUMBER 3 which we picked up at Horrorhound Weekend.  Get ready for some Old Man Gibbons.  We talk about some more fun HHW memories not captured in episode 100, talk about the Drunken zombie film festival 2010, and read some more bad reviews from iTunes.  You know it’s a good time.  And we try to record using our new mic but Dave’s laptop causes some random hissing for some reason.  but i may have finally found a recorder that will let us record on my laptop so hopefully it will be fixed.

We watch the sci fi horror film Galaxy of Terror.  We’ve wanted to see this film since seeing the trailer on one of the 42nd Street Forever DVDs.  So we check that out in sort of a Patrick History Month 1.5.  We also discuss some music, talk about The Crazies, and talk about Warner Brothers ideas of doing some new movies based on the Wizard Of Oz books.  Oh and Patrick cusses at us but what is new?

Well not all theme months end on a good note.  For the last week of Patrick History Month we review . . . ugh . . . Satan’s Cheerleaders.  Sigh.  Damn it Patrick.  Anyway we read through a lot of listener emails, pick the winners of our Peter Straub contest, and just sort of bitch and moan about the movie.  Enjoy.  Also we are without Dave so we tried recording the janky way again.  I passed it through some filters but we sound a little robotic.  So let us know if you prefer this or lots of hissing and buzzing.  Also enjoy the latest masterpiece from Crazy Lawn Mower Guy.

For entry 2 in Patrick History Month we review the movie Tourist Trap.  A guy living with a bunch of mannequins.  Now you have some insight into Crazy Uncle Randy’s Life.  We also hear from Patrick on this and the movie Looker.  Bryan and Dave argue over movie ratings.  And we start the show off with a cool announcement.

Well it’s Patrick History Month.  You know what that means.  Lots of Patrick and some strange movies.  We start off with a Michael Criton movie LOOKER.  Also for some reason we get on a tangent about the movie MANIAC and also develop a TV series based around Bernie from Weekend At Bernie’s based on him being a time traveler.  It’s pure gold.  Trust me.  Also enjoy our new studio logo courtesy of Crazy Lawnmower Guy.

We close out Hitchcock Holidays  with probably the most well known of the Hitchcock films we have reviewed REAR WINDOW.  Great discussions abound.  Also we decide we need a podcast feud to really pump up our show so we start calling out another podcast that is run by dwarves.  Enjoy.

Often on this show we try new things to make recording easier.  About 95% of the time it never works and just makes the recording bad.  Well this is one of the times that we hit that 95%.  Tried recording on the new laptop and of course it backfired in a big way.  And we recorded the next episode this way as well so try to get through the next 2 episodes and then we’ll be back to status quo.  Ugh.  Anyway we checked out the Hitchcock film STRANGERS ON A TRAIN.  If anything just please listen to Lord Blood Rah as he records his own stuff.  Enjoy.

Hitchcock month continues with the very dark comedy THE TROUBLE WITH HARRY.  We do the usual voicemails and Lord Blood Rah gives us a review of Carnival Of Souls.  Enjoy

For our second part of Hitchcock month we talk about the movie ROPE.  This theme must be agreeing with us as we spend a lot of time talking about the themes and such of the movie and a lot of the overtones of the movie.  Hope you enjoy.

Hitchcock Month begins!  We tackle the Hitchcock classic North By Northwest.  We have a pretty slim show this week but we actually spend like half the show this week talking about the movie.  How’s that for a change of pace?  So hope you enjoy our first part of Hitchcock Month!

Listen along as we TRY to make fun of this movie.  Some movies are just so boring that it doesn’t give you anything to work with.  Ugh.  Anyway enjoy.

Since it’s Thanksgiving we figured what better way to celebrate than to review a movie where a giant Turkey/Man mutant kills drug users and drinks their blood?  How wrong we were.  We should have listened to Lord Blood-Rah when he reviewed it on the Bent Frame.  Ugh.  We also get some great phone calls, one specifically from a certain mustachioed bad ass.  So once again for some reason the audio gods were not with us.  Dave and Wes go silent on a few occasions so I pumped up the gain to try and help.  That leaves certain areas with a background hum to it.  So it was either deal with the annoying hum that gets better and worse depending or not hear Dave and Wes.  So deal with it.  Look for a Blood Freak commentary sometime this weekend.

Yes you can tell from the title that this is one of ‘those’ episodes.  A little long but hey you called us a lot.  Basically we go over the fantastic DZFF 2009, drink a lot, laugh our asses off at some voicemail, and then finally get around to talking about The Sentinel.  And yes we’ve been gone for a little while just due to everyone’s schedule.  We’ll be back on our game from here on out.  We promise.

Since we were gone for a few weeks due to faulty software and just laziness we had a crap ton of voicemails.  So we decided to just have a voicemail show where we get to them all.  So no real main topic (but since when is there).  But we do talk about stuff like Paranormal Activity and Carrie.  Also Dave and Wes get a little quiet.  I tried to bump them up but stupid mic cords didn’t do anything to help that matter.

We celebrate our 2nd year in style.  With lots of booze, guests, and at the very end cookie cake.  We have a couple of special guests which made us share some mics so voices can be soft (sorry), lots of voicemails, some thank yous, some appreciations, and of course bad audio!  One of our mic wires is wonky but now that I know which one it is I can fix it.  So ironically we almost go old school with some crackly audio during some parts.  But other than that crack open a drink and enjoy.

Dave sits this episode out since he’s working on lame stuff like his wedding.  And it’s unfortunate as we review two of the funnest genre films in awhile Zombieland and Trick ‘r Treat.  We also talk about our favorite autographed items we have.  Even though we try to remain as spoiler free in our reviews tread carefully if you haven’t seen either of these films.

Well we had planned on watching Maniac Cop.  Within the 24 hours of deciding it went off instant watch on Xbox.  So we settled for Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus.  Bad decision.  We also chat about Dave’s Bachelor Party, discuss the Blair Witch Project for some reason, and start the Date Snakeman contest.  Wondering what Dave looked like at the bachelor party?  Check him out below:

This week we review the highly recommended Legend Of The 7 Golden Vampires.  It was recommended to us by Julie from 19 Nocturne Boulevard awhile ago but after seeing the trailer for it at the drive in last weekend we decided we had to catch up on this one.  We chat some about our drive in experience, do some guessing on what will happen at Dave’s Bachlor Party, and make fun of Uncle Randy’s narcolepsy.  So we tried to actually use our audio board correctly this week and got some weird whine static at some points.  Power through.  It clears up.

So we’re back a little quicker than we thought.  And we decided to watch the highly recommended zombie flick Dead Snow.  We also work out some tech issues on air but finally get them to work only for Dave and I think Wes also to have some weird mic issues during voicemails.  Weird.  But speaking of voicemails listen for our favorite angry red head Patrick leave us 5 voicemails.  Enjoy!

As Cronenberg month ends we talk about the movie The Dead Zone.  Also to pad some time out we review some of iTunes reviews since we hadn’t done that in awhile.  Boy was there a surprise waiting for us there.  Be sure to check it out.  Also Bryan breathes really heavily into the mic for most of the show.  Enjoy!

Welcome to a long ass episode.  I tried to keep everyone on track but everyone kept going off topic.  Also you damn people sent us 23 voicemails this time around.  What the hell?  So this episode clocks in at around 3 hours but our talking about The Fly is worth it.

We jump head first into probably the one movie that signifies Cronenberg the most VIDEODROME!  Get ready to get your minds blown!  We also celebrate Uncle Randy’s birthday, go on a rant about not bowing to the film marketing machine and seeking out good cinema, and get into a serious discussion on the theme’s of Videodrome and how it relates to today’s society more than even when it was made.  Enjoy!

We kick off David Croenberg Month by talking about the film eXistenZ.  Of course this month is going to be spent talking about weird sex, people’s reliability on technology, and gross body mutations.  Oh and we’ll be talking about Croenberg film’s too.  In this episode during the Listener Mail segment the tables get turned on the Pervert!  Find out how!

We end our run of Mystery Movies with Dave picking our selection.  Also in this episode we chat with Scothworthy Productions Tony Wash about some of their upcoming projects and how you can get involved to help them out.

Unfortunately we close out Giallo June with a stinker of a movie called WATCH ME WHILE I KILL. We spend more time talking about the Halloween 2 trailer and the new Inglourious Basterds trailers. What does that tell you? But luckily Super Ultra Famous Screenwriter Sean Keller comes to the rescue and recommends WHO SAW HER DIE. So check that one out.
