Good morning,
It's been awhile again. :( Recovered quickly from gall bladder surgery, but then I had to move. I am finally all settled in and began working on my projects again. As always, here are some of the things I was not able to post recently. Hopefully now that I am settled I can update my blog more often. I've also been busy with my crochet projects since I don't need access to all my tools and supplies so I will start posting some of those projects as well in the future. So here they are.....

This is my altered cigar box swap for Mini Album Scraps with a Halloween theme. It was a great experience and I enjoyed working with my partner on the swap. Can't wait to post the Christmas one I am completing right now.

This is a baby album I made for one of my husband's cousins. Can you tell it is going to be a girl.

Some New Projects

Thanks for stopping by. As usual my life has been hectic. Been having some issues with my health but they will be taken care of soon. It's been hard, but here are some new projects I have been working on. Hope you enjoy.

This is an invitation I made for a cousin's 40th Bday party.

These are some paper flowers I made out of various die cuts and punches. I will be working on a tutorial for each one in the upcoming month.

This is a card I made with my upline from Stampin' Up!

Altered canvas with tutorial to come. I used my favorite picture of my daughter when she was 5. Isn't she adorable!

Here are some cards I have been working on incorporating my embossing folders, layering and stamping.

I'm still working on my altered cigar box and another altered frame. Can't wait to share my first tutorials with you all.

Good Morning,

Wow things have been really busy here. I finally started working at Michael's this weekend and I am in both theRamsey and the Wayne stores. I got busy working on samples for the classes I have scheduled in June. Take a look and see what is to come. If your interested in taking any classes let me know. Sneak Peak

Ok so here is a sneak peak of some things I am working on. I was so excited I couldn't wait to share somes pics even though they are not complete. A family friend asked me to come up with some novelty items for her bingo customers. This is what I have so far.

This is an altered gift bag for those bingo enthusiast out there. It is made of heavy Kraft paper with secured handles for added support.

These are cute little bingo ticket holders. I have to add the ribbons yet after they dry, but I justed wanted to show you how cute they are so far.

Finally this is a bingo mat. I don't know if you have been to bingo lately but now they do these things called "keepers" they are addition tickets or scratch offs that you play the numbers along with the regular boards for additional prize money. They are size of lottery tickets. This board has five clips to help secure the tickets on the board so that bingo enthusiests can blot them with the ink when the numbers are called. This prevents them from flying away.

I'm Back

Wow, it has been a while. I feel like time has flown by so fast since my surgery. Just to update, I have already lost about 75 pounds since my surgery at the end of September. I have been busy running around but I have managed to keep up with some of my crafting. I have been working on expanding my client base for Stampin' Up! and I have been doing a lot of demos and workshops. I have also begun to work at Michael's as an instructor for SDU (Scrapbook Design University), otherwise known as The Spotted Canary as well as Martha Stewart Products. So I have been busy getting things in motion but now that everything has settled down I will be posting more. Here are some pictures of an album and frame I made for a family friend.

Hand bag album

Here is the final project I was working on. This is also a Kathy Orta design with my own little twist. It is a hand bag purse for a girl's sweet sixteen. I love this design and it is so simple to put together. I thought it would hard or take long but it didn't.

Isn't it adorable. I think she will love it. Again I had to make it simple because she isn't that girly. So I embellished the outside with a winged heart pendent to cover the magnetic snap.

The inside has two components. The first is 6 pocket pages matted on both sides and binded with two binding rings that also secure the handle. I also reinforced the holes with gromments.

In each pocket is one double sided photo mat.

This piece here you can find on the inside of the back cover. I added a pocket and cut 6 pieces of cardstock, matted both sides and secured with a swivel clip from Tim Holtz. I also made my own charm.

Finally as you can see they wanted a name so instead of adding it to the outside I put it on the inside but it can be seen immediately as you open the book. I embellished the page with a fun sticker and left extra space for her to add any other fun pictures or writing or stickers.

Well that is it for now. Now I can actually start working on my own stuff to display my daughter as well as my christmas cards and gifts. Can't wait to share them with.

Back Packs

Hi again,
So this same family friend asked me to make albums for her neices boys to reflect there school year. I decided to use Kathy Orta's back pack design and this is what I came up with. I think they are the cutest things.

So as you can see one likes baseball and the other likes soccer. I didn't take a picture of the back but if I did you would see two straps made out of the black belt material.

Here is the inside of one. If you look closely there is a side pocket on the inside cover and the pages contain a full size page that flips up as well leaving four full pages for pictures plus and mat in the front pocket and the bag opens for a pull out mat.

This is the back of the page with a library style pocket that flips down.

The pages alternate including a library pocket peice in every other page.

I'm Back

So I have been away for a while since my surgery but now I am up and running and ready to go. The surgery was successful and there have been no complications. I have already lost about 30 lbs and have gone down two sizes. I've been busy working on several projects as well while I was recovering and will try to post all the pictures up. I've been a busy little bee. I am now also an independent Stampin Up demonstrator so I will also be posting a link to my page there. So check it out.

Baby Girl Album 8x8
I made this out of card stock and patterned paper for a friend of the family.

They wanted nice and simple so I embellished the front with a few flowers and buttons.

Here is the first page and I added a half page for added picture space with a hinge.

This is the back side of the front page with a little pocket to store goodies and another half page with a pocket and several mats to put photos or journeling on.

Here is the back of the half page and page 2. As you can see it is just plain and simple.

Big suprise. Another pocket page but this one is on the side instead of the bottem and I attached another half page with a hinge.

So it is plain, simple and to the point but the half pages, pockets and hinged pages add extra space for photos. The book is held together by three binder rings and reinforced with grommets.

Surgery

Hi everyone,
I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while I have been extremely busy. I had to complete 3 more beach wedding albums for the bride. She wanted them to give to the parents and her sister as gifts. I have also been getting ready for my surgery. Tomorrow I go in for gastric bypass surgery. I'm so excited but nervous too. I'll be in the hospital for a few days so I won't be writing. Can't wait to finish the book bag album (kathy orta) that I am working on. It is soooo cute.

As promised I completed the twins albums using Kathy Orta's Ultimate Paper Bag Mini Album design. It came out great. I love the pattern. It was tedious but sooooo simple and it it looks awesom. I love her work you should check out her site at paper phenomenon if you haven't already.

Damn the landscaper!!!

Good morning all. That's right it is too early in the morning on a Saturday for me to be awake. The landscaper has been at it since 7:30am so there goes my sleeping late idea. I can't even work on my projects right now because I ran out of adhesive and the stores don't open for a few hours. It's been great this week because I have a new craft room. My husband moved me out of the small spare room where I have no work space and even less storage space to the basement. We made custom shelves and now I have an awesome, organized, and spacious work space. I'll have to take some pictures to show everyone. Well anyway, I wanted to post some of my other work for you to see. One is another wedding album (too many weddings this summer) and the other is a baby boy album I made a few months ago. I have a lot in the works and I can't wait to share with everyone my latest projects. I'm working on two albums for twin girls that turned 18. I love the way they are turning out. I'm using the ultimate paper bag album design by Kathy Orta with the Dress it up paper stack by DCWV. Love it!!! Any way I should be done with those in a few days. In the mean time enjoy these designs and have a great holiday weekend. I know I will be enjoying my days off.

This first album is made with DCWV Mariposa paper along with a few random sheets. I finally got to use my Tim Holtz bird cage. Who doesn't love Tim Holtz!!!

This album was made with my cricut. I love the way it came out. The little clouds are the cutest.

Good morning everyone, I decided since it was a beautiful day and it is the first day in Septermber that it would be a wonderful day to write my first post. I'm just getting used to all this modern communication and blogging and I know I have seen many of your wonderful sites out there. It's been a great inspiration to me in my crafting and my life, reading your blogs and seeing your work, so I thought that I would try to pass that on to others as well. My hope is that my work and my story may be an inspiration to others as others have been to me. That being said I would like to share one of my most recent projects with you. I was asked to make several wedding mini albums with a beach theme. This was a challenge of course to incorporate the formalness of wedding with the theme of the beach. After a while this is what I came up with and both brides loved them. Sorry about the picture quality I only had my phone camera with me. I hope you enjoy it too.
