Some of the scumbags on Dublin's northside seem to read my blog.

A couple of months ago I urged that the petty criminal called "The Don" should be killed.

My wish has come true, as Eamon Dunne (34), named "The Don" by the Irish yellow press (honestly, ALL the press in this country falls into this category, even the Irish Times...) after he took power over the country's biggest drug gang, was shot 4 times in the head by a killer (let me guess... ANOTHER scumbag from another drug gang?) in the Pub "Faussagh House" in Cabra, Dublin Northside.

Good riddance of the freeloading bastard.

Dunne was arguably the boss of Irelands biggest drug gang, and it seems that he was controlling drug traffic in Ballymun, Finglas and Blanchardstown, but I suppose also in other quarters like Coolock. He was also responsible for numerous murders - mostly of other gangsters.

But honestly: who cares?

The Gardai obviously don't care. They weren't even able to arrest the sucker as he was obviously letting others do the dirty work.

I don't care because I am sure that the gang already has a new leader. The problem is never the head of the Hydra. It's the missing hero.

Oh, and a nice detail: his 17-year-old daughter was with him in the pub when he was executed. Well, hopefully she learns the lesson: crime doesn't pay in the long run. A good education just might. And moving out of shitholes like Dublin's Northside.

Dublin - A racist Easter stabbing (read: "murder")

Not enough that this country is currently wondering a lot about the bastards in cassocks who not only mentally dominated the way the Irish were supposed to think, live and die; but as it now turns out also sexually abused generations of their children.

This Easter just became a little bit grimmer, as we now seem to have the first racist murder of the year.

During the last weeks, I was wondering about how little news there is on the "Dublin Murder" front, and now - bang! - it's not only a murder, not only a stabbing - it's the heinous stabbing of a 15 year old youth, and the main reason for it is very likely his colour of skin.

Toyosi Shittabey, a teenager of Nigerian descent, who lived already a couple of years in Ireland, was stabbed and died in hospital on April 3rd. It is understood that too brothers in their 20s and 30s respectively are currently questioned and Garda seem to be pretty sure that racism was the reason / motive.

The murder happened in northwest Dublin, Tyrrelstown.

My deepest condolences to Toyosi's family.

"Celtic Tiger" did not improve Irelands crime rate

The report shows that during the 5 years between 2004 and 2008, things did not really get better on the crime-front. One asks itself how the recession might worsen things now even more... the next report in 3-4 years time will surely be an even more interesting one!

Apparently, Limerick is the worst place in Ireland in regards of gangland crimes and homicides, closely followed by the hottest southside quarters of Dublin.

...one of the good things of Dublin's gangland crime is that most of the murder victims are thugs.
So, the poor performance of the Irish police force (which is underpaid and overworked, nothing special in Ireland...) has also its good sides: just do nothing and the bad people will eventually kill themselves.

Cynic as this may sound, I sometimes believe that this might be one of the business rationales of Garda bureaucrats in times of recession (oh, was it different during the so-called "Tiger years"? Likely not...).

The latest "victim" of gangland crime is a "well-known criminal involved in robberies, drugs, gun and gangland crime", states RTE news. And today, Breakingnews / IrelandOnline gives the name of the thug: Aidan Byrne.

Apparently he was found with gunshot wounds in his chest, in the passenger seat of a car on Drumalee Avenue, near North Circular Road (Phibsborough)

The story sounds like a typical gangster-template-story from Dublin.
In his early 30s, he was from the East Wall area, one of the "hot spots" of Dublin gangland activity. East wall is a slum-like relic of a once very poor area, squeezed in between the fancy new finance centre, IFSC, and the newer Dockland developments, where posh yuppies and young employees from all over Europe, many of them working in the finance sector or for companies like Facebook or Google, live.

While most of the gangland-crime is nowadays concentrating in more off-beaten quarters to the north, northwest and southwest of Dublin, East Wall (like Summerhill) is one of the places near the city centre where crime and murder are still quite high.

Apparently, the Crumlin-Drimnagh quarters of Dublin (to the south-west, approaching the infamous ganster-land Tallaght) saw gangland shootings and incidents over the last weeks. There seem to be a number of so-called "volatile" elements among the thugs who think they are as cool as a figure out of a Tarantino or Coppola movie.

Naturally, a REAL Don Corleone or Jules Winnfield would just laugh out loud at the sight of one of those farcical Irish wannabe-gangsters waving around clumsily with a gun they are not worth possessing. Style and poise can't be bought with dirty money. You have them or you will never have them. And if you're just a taters-eating, Guinness-drooling SOB from Coolock, Artane or Tallaght, and you still try to imitate a movie-ganster.... well then you're just pathetic.

Never the less, that's the way Dublin's "gangsters" think they can impress helpless neighbours and hard-working citizens. And that's why the Irish caricature of a police-force, called "Garda" is so desperately trying to lull the populace into false peace - because imbecile's with money and weapons are on and about.

Dublin's Politicians discuss crime & murder

An interesting article on Northside People.
A Dublin Northside Labour Party politician, Joe Costello, openly speaks his mind (and a lot of sense!) about the current gangland and drug scene in Dublin and Ireland.

According to him, the drug industry is currently the strongest growing "industry" in recession Ireland, supposedly a multi-billion Euro operation.

Another politician, Cyprian Brady from the infamous Fianna Fáil (spell: F-A-I-L!) babbled something senseless to answer Costello's viewpoint: apparently, Labour's "voting records clearly show that they cannot be taken seriously on crime". What the hell does the one thing have to do with the other? And, in return, how is Ireland looking after years of the infamous and incompetent reign of Fianna Fáil?

Anyway, have a read and judge by yourself. Living in this place and having lived in many other countries and cities before, I can clearly say that what's going on in this country and in Dublin is NOT normal, it shows that large groups / parts of the population are de-grading massively and that respect for human life is declining enormously.

Smells like a classical murder case

Just when I thought that Dublin is finally becoming that peaceful little town on the green island at the western fringe of Europe - the good ol' shooting corpse has returned!

The first Dublin murder in February 2010 has struck in Clonsilla, near Blanchardstown. Northside, naturellement.

It looks like a classic murder case: one corpse, 2 other men where in the house. The local Garda arrested two men, a gun was found at the scene. Apparently, the 3 men were friends.

Woman stabbed to death in south Dublin

Yesterday morning, the body of a dead woman was found in a hotel in Dundrum, south Dublin.

Gardai are still investigating the case. The woman was a Romanian national in her 30s. Another non-Irish national with knife wounds was transported to the hospital. Gardai did not yet share further details about the case.

The youngest murder-victim so far: a baby

This morning, the death of a 10-day-old baby from Navan, County Meath was upgraded to a murder-case.

Apparently it happened at a party in Lusk, North County Dublin, in the night of the 7th of January.
The post-mortem seems to show that the baby died from "blunt force trauma to the head", and other bruisings to the body.

Even I am not willing to comment further on this. It's just a very sad story, and I guess the best thing that happened to this baby was to NOT grow up with this kind of parents and in this kind of country.

Phew! I just started to become a little bit afraid after a couple of stabbing- and murder-free days. Were people in Dublin becoming more civilized?
But no, they just took some deep breaths, and the butchery continues!

Yesterday, two men were hospitalised after a double (!) stabbing in Loughlinstown, Dublin.
It's not murder as nobody died, but it shows that a real Dubliner also stabs others on a wintry cold afternoon. No more sheep to herd 'round here, and no more money to go for pints, so why not try a good, old-fashioned stabbing, ey`?

A murder case from Arklow, where a shopkeeper was stabbed to death in the night of the 25th November 2009 was further considered before the court today. The murder seems to be a 19 y.o. thug. That's relatively old and mature for killers in this country...

"The Don" may have fled the country

When animals sense danger, they run.
When human animals sense danger, they ofter run, too.

There is a human animal living in the Dublin suburb of Finglas. He's a mean gangster, sending out his ogres to kill other not-so-innocent people. He never acts directly, and although his name and address are known to the police, until now the animal felt secure enough to walk the rugged streets of Dublin's filthy northside without worrying too much about his future.

But now the animal has sensed immediate danger, it seems. That is also the fault of local policeforce. A few days ago, a retired police officer who served in Finglas wrote a lenghty article about the animal who likes to call himself "The Don". Voices are getting louder to arrest the dog.

Thank you, Garda, your PR efforts seem to be more effective than Irish legislation. The pig has left the country. The bloody wankers' gone and all we can hope now is that he dies a painful, cancer- or accident-related death.

He was shot dead in a drug-related situation yesterday evening. The killer escaped. He rode a red Toyota Liteace (construction year 1992, registered in Cork), the abandoned car was found in the Castlewhite / Waterfall area of Cork.

22 days in 2010 and already 5 shotgun killings - who needs IRA bombings when he's got pseudo-mafiosi and a desperate, undereducated populace in search of ultimate drug kicks...

The latest example is an ex-soldier, apparently a very nice person who was part of a Donaghmede sport club and just found a job in the fire brigade.

Btw, my train drives through Donaghmede every day.

It is a very sinister, gloomy part of Dublin, jointed to Kilbarrack (the name says it all, he?). Areas like these are known for the "Knackers" (in England they would be called "White Trash") living there. I try to never change trains at Donaghmede, because there are nearly always aggressive youngsters hanging out near the train station. 13 y.o. who drink and do drugs. And who hate foreigners.

This guy wanted to help a friend who had trouble with a loud party. The result? He was stabbed death with a knife.

I saw his mother crying in the evening news tonight. Apparently the blade of the knife broke in his chest and he died on the scene.

Dublin, all hell broke loose over you. The people in this country really freak me out!

Dublin stinks. Dublin sucks. Dublin is hell on earth, especially when you live on the northside.

If you consider moving to Dublin, or moving to the northside because rent is cheaper there... well, think twice!

I am astonished by the amount of news about people murdered nearly daily in the greater Dublin area alone - let alone all over Ireland!

I had the idea to collect news on a daily basis and gather this data in a blog. I think in a couple of months, this will paint a mostly interesting picture of Dublin. Think of it as you would think of one of those gory medieval paintings about hell. A collage of terror. Or the sad side of modern Ireland. Think of it as you think of any true "Pulp Fiction": real life is much more terrible than any imagined terror ever will be.
