<itunes:summary>DUBLIN REAL is a podcast format show, which looks to create conversation around the life experiences of interesting people, places & events. A number of similarities have drawn us together as we embark on this journey. But the single biggest factor is curiosity. The curiosity to find out what this life has in store and ways in which we can make positive changes for ourselves and our planet.

Along the way we hope to promote these changes, while digging into and investigating some of the negatives that hold us all back… With guests ranging from Economists and Holy men, to Drug dealers and Drug Addicts. From Paramilitaries, Mixed Martial Artists to Musicians. We aim to keep our conversation as real as possible, true to ourselves and let the chips fall where they may.

No subject matter is off the cards! And no rock will be left unturned in our quest for enlightenment. Providing it offers something to both us and out listeners to learn from! We too are on a journey to discover what this thing called life is all about. So please join us on this adventure, who knows what we might find.</itunes:summary>

 <itunes:summary>Tom Dunne Musician, Composer, Performer
Tom Dunne is a man who has seen it all. Having studied music extensively and played throughout Europe. As well as having written music for both theatre and film. He now focuses his time on session playing on the local Dublin and Ireland music scene. His eclectic mix of styles ranging from Jazz, Traditional Irish to electronica. Makes him someone who isn't afraid to experiment with sound. Bringing his brand of music to the wider world.

In his early years and under his own initiative, Tom taught himself how to play guitar. He would later go on to learn multiple instruments throughout his career, which has now spanned many decades in the music business. With a background in traditional Irish music and an extensive knowledge and love for Jazz. His musical knowledge crosses the divide between old and new.

The opening track of our podcast is an Electronica piece titled Don't take it. Written and composed by the man himself, its a far cry from traditional styles he would he would be most widely associated with. This venture into modern electronic shows his development as an artist an his willingness to learn and try new things.

As we move into another new year, what better way to kick things off than with a chat. We sat down for an afternoon and decided to chat about current affairs and diet, as you do. Thinking about thew coming weeks and months, we felt that diet is something which we all need to spend some time thinking about. It is critical in this day and age that people are eating the right type of foods.

We all know that you can get whatever you want and that perhaps is the problem. As we no longer have to chase animals or pick wild berries. But are still faced with huge life and death decisions, like what brand of orange juice or is that egg organic! Ciaran breaks down what food you should be thinking about as we move in 2014. Now is a good a time as any to get your diet together and your mind will follow. Here's to a New Year, lets hope that it is a bright and beautiful one for us all.</itunes:summary>

In this episode of Dublin Real, we talked with Owen Fox who is a healer, author and life coach. We chatted about all things spiritual and how by first getting your diet in order, your mind will soon follow. We even briefly discusses relationships, something we all need help with.

Unfortunately we had a slight technical issue with Owens camera, which led to the audio going out of sync. So our apologies for that. We are still learning!

Hope you like the Art Deco video format experiment!

Owen is a true gent and we were very happy to have him come in and spread some of his abundant happiness around. To top it all off we discovered that Owen is a fan of Mixed martial Arts. So we were curious how such a humble and peaceful guy balances his own teaching with his love for combat sports. Take a listen to find out!

<itunes:summary>Ayahuasca and me, we talk Shamanism & Sacred Plant with our guest Cillian.
To respect anonymity of our guest we decided to record the fire, which set the atmosphere for our interview.

This week we spoke with Cillian who has now been involved in over 30 #Ayahuasca ceremonies. Far from being formal, we decided that this particular interview environment should reflect the subject matter. Something which Cillian appreciated and we all enjoyed. Like most of us he is still trying to find his own path in life and has chosen #Ayahuasca or perhaps it has chosen him to help him on his way.

Cillian explains his own personal experiences and understanding of the #SacredPlant. What it has done for him and what he believes it can do for others. He has chosen to dedicate his life to it's teachings and journey into the realms of Shamanism. He discusses the lowest point in his own life and how a series of events set him on this path. Throughout our time talking Cillian burnt a South American wood known as Palo Santo. A close relative of frankincense it's aroma created a very Spiritual vibe.

We hope to speak with Cillian again in the coming months as we continue on our very own #Ayahuasca journey. Perhaps doing a before and after, so watch this space. Our Ayahuasca interview was broken in 3 parts as we tend to drink alot of tea.Toward the end of the interview, Ciaran had to leave and take care of some business. So Ross finishes out the interview on a one to one basis.

We do hope that you enjoy this conversation as much as we did and look forward to getting some more fascinating people in to chat about this thing called LIFE, till then. It's about the journey...

In 1999 Shay Reilly was walking home from a night out with some friends in Dublin city. A short time later he was to be the victim of a random act of violence which potentially changed the course of his life. In this interview we discuss what led up to the incident. The physical and mental results of the attack and his path to rehabilitation.

Along the way we hear about both the judicial and medical institutes and how as the victim in the attack Shay was treated. It is a fascinating view into his very personal experiences and memories he still holds to this day. We hope that you enjoy.
