2011-11-26T10:35:00.000-08:00

so, these little metal blocks are getting pretty expensive these days, so my friend and i were searching why, and figured out that most hard drive factories and facilities were under water at this point because of flooding in asia.

I dont know about you guys, but this is fun.

intro to anyone that doesn't know about computer hardware

2011-06-16T12:33:00.000-07:00

graphics card(used in games mostly)

case, mainly cosmetics of the pc, but holds everything inside it

proccesor or cpu, its what makes computers computers.

Dvd rewriter: reads and writes cd's,discs, dvds, bluray etc.

Hard drives: stores all data, they havent changed much in 50 years

motherboards are where all the parts are connected together.

liquid cooling is important for computers that heat up alot, like servers and gaming computers

power supply: its what powers all the hardware and that prevents your house from burning up, in some cases
its what burns your house down DONT FORGET TO GET A GOOD POWER SUPPLY ITS THE MOST CRITICAL PART IN YOUR COMPUTER!

Ram: stores all temporary files that programs, games etc. use when running on the computer.

best video ever for pc building

ma Liquid cooling system yo

2011-06-09T11:34:00.000-07:00

this thing is awesome. i put this on my pc and it really dropped the temp down. a 3*120mm radiator cools up to 1000watts of heat, and my cpu generates 150 watts(intel core2 quad q8300 OC). so, im gonna get a waterblock for my hd6870 (when i buy it) and it'll be even better. Remember: DO NOT USE TAP WATER, USE LCS LIQUID OR DISTILLED WATER WITH ANTI-CORROSIVE ADDITIVE.
