Bro Safari teams up with San-Francisco producer UFO! for a brain-bending bass-heavy LP entitled Animal. The long awaited and highly anticipated LP features 10 massive tunes of almost every bass music genre. Here's what they had to say about the lp:

"Originally, we created about 16 tracks for the album, and then we narrowed it down to the songs that you have in front of you today. It was important to us that we create a collection of music that crossed multiple styles and genres, yet told a coherent story. It's not an easy thing to do, but we feel like we pulled it off by using themes, samples, techniques and by consciously assessing what did and did not work together.

We feel like there is something for everyone on this record and we're very pleased with the fact that we can offer this to everyone for free. All we ask is that you listen to it with an open mind, share it with your friends and come say hello whenever we play a show in your city.

So, once again - Thank you to each and every person that showed us support over the last few years. We love working together, and have already discussed plans for a follow up album."

On June 4, Protohype will make his return to Firepower Records with the second installment of the SEE NO EVIL, HEAR NO EVIL, SPEAK NO EVIL trilogy. Having launched the series with SEE NO EVIL back in March, next up is HEAR NO EVIL, which continues Protohype’s exploration of the different facets of his productions as he constructs bass music in its multifarious forms. Blending dubstep, hip hop, drum & bass and more across the EP, he brings these diverse sounds together, utilizing the contrasting tones to bring out his own unique sound across four melodic new tracks.

Protohype draws the curtain with “Fly,” featuring the voice of Alina Renae. Layering superstring synths, electric chords and powerful vocals over crashing beats and heavy bass, it sets the backdrop for the EP in grand style. Up next, “Jelly Roll” amps up the gritty bass and dub beats over infectiously smooth melodies, bringing a more fluid and jacking feel to the EP. Further demonstrating the cross section of sounds on the EP, the expansive, euphoric tone of the intro to penultimate track “Bright Side” featuring Ras give way to a spiraling, chasmic drop. Adrenaline running high, the emergence of the final track “Shatter” turns things on their head once again. Layering classical orchestration over clipped beats, Protohype fuses the traditional components with razor sharp synths and speaker-busting bass to create another unique production, dissipating into a tail of reverb that leaves the door open for the final part of the trilogy.

Protohype brings together an array of influences to HEAR NO EVIL, stripping back the sounds and rebuilding them as four new forms. Watch out for part three coming soon…

In a totally organic way, three unique and fantastically different creative individuals from West London have come together to form a musical collective known to us as ‘The Echo’. Intent on leaving a mark, The Echo will be releasing ‘Responsible’ for free download on June 10th.

To accompany the release, the trio has collaborated with critically acclaimed director Andrew Attah to create an exclusive video for the lead single. Filmed at The Central School of Ballet, the video features the beautifully talented ballerina – Francesca Tennant, who explores the art of dedication and determination. Andrew Attah, also known for his work with Calyx & Teebee and Netsky, keeps you gripped throughout by carefully capturing every element of the ballerina’s emotions.

The Echo’s heart and soul lies somewhere between the realms of electronic R’n’B and ‘outside of the box’ dance music. With an ear for intricacy and attention to detail, The Echo's sound draws inspiration from the likes of Massive Attack, Crystal Castles, Gesaffelstein, Kanye West, & LCD Soundsystem. Lead single from the EP ‘Responsible’ embraces an overtly mischievous persona, accompanied by an infectiously uplifting beat. The track’s blissful groove and inimitable vocals flood ‘Responsible’ in desirable waves of creative brilliance.

At this point we know little about the new trio but we can appreciate their honest and pure production efforts. The timeless video for ‘Responsible’ will remain clear in our minds, so sit back and indulge yourself in it, listen after listen.

The beautiful and artistic Ms Marar has taken us on an eventful journey over the last few months releasing hit after hit from her debut album ‘The Real’. Following on from her club ready record ‘Go Hard’, Ayah returns with her ultimate single from the album ‘Lethal Dose’ released on her imprint ‘Hussle Girl’. ‘The Real’ has received championing support from Q Magazine who gave it four stars, Dazed Digital, Timeout and The Sun who have labeled Ayah the ‘queen of bass’.

‘Lethal Dose’ dives deep into the darkness of desire and obsession and addresses the effects of emotional and physical addiction. The video for ‘Lethal Dose’ displays a stripped back version of the Ayah, and we’re invited in to a more sensitive and vulnerable side of the songstress that we haven’t seen before. Filmed within the warehouses where Ayah is now living, Ayah says ‘the making of the video really brought us together as a creative family and community, and touched on the phenomenon that is warehouse life.’

Ayah has been extremely busy this year since signing a deal with US Record Label – ‘Radikal Records’. As well as running her own label Ayah also finds time to tour the world and host her own monthly radio show on BBC Radio 1xtra. With everything shifting around her, Ayah can always count on one thing remaining constant and that’s her close connection with long-standing friend Calvin Harris. After Ayah released the video for ‘Lethal Dose’ this week Calvin took to twitter to show his support by saying 'amazing work from one of my best friends'. With a jammed pack festival season and back-to-back tour diary Ayah continues to live out her legacy as the ‘queen of bass’.
