Sugar★Shooter 2 Promotion Video!

Finally the Sugar Shooter 2 promotion video is finished! The video is in Japanese, but I have made a subtitle in English already. I got a request to make a tutorial of how to use Sugar Burst and Soul Whisk effectively, so if we have time we might make a video of that next.

We also now have the official release date, which are as follows :

Japanese CD Box + Limited Edition - 19th February 2012

Japanese/English Digital Download - 26th February 2012

The physical box version will also be available on Rainbow Shoppers as well, though we're not sure about limited editions yet.

Sugar★Shooter 2 Demo Update

Anybody reach this stage in Black yet?

There seems to be a problem with the online highscore on the last demo. The loading circle keep spinning and for some reasons you won't be able to view Tarosuke's online highscore completely.

Though, if the loading circle stop spinning and show an 'error' symbol, then that's the problem with the leaderboard service we're using. It seems like they're moving their server or something, so please be patient! :)

Kemo Coliseum Progress

Have you forgotten the 10 hotties? :P

People have been asking us how far is the game now. We have finished designing the new battle system and going to implement it soon. After we implement it, we will release a tech-demo for people to play and try the battle system.

Not only that, we have also been experimenting with allowing players to create custom contents. That means, players can create their own characters and put their original creations into the Kemo Coliseum's world. Please note that this is not like character creating system in games like Soul Calibur though. Kemo Coliseum system will allow you to import any image files you want to represent as your character ( and each part of their armors ). This mean there is no limit to what kind of character you want to see in the game!

Hopefully this will allow everyone to see their own original character in the game. I can't wait to see what people will come up with it ^ ^

For people who cannot draw, we might create a character creator with some template graphics in the future. Or you can also commission wonderful artists from art communities. Either way, now you have your chance to put your original characters into the game and fight with other people.

While this game is free, supporting us will definitely help boost the development to be faster. We will open for donation soon. It will be like Sugar Shooter 2 fund-raising, where different price will give you different perks. But this time, we will allow anonymous donation as well, for those who just want to support us without expecting anything in return. One of the perks will be an access to our secret lab, where we post an update of the game every week, as well as exclusive arts and behind the scene stuffs.

However, the support options are not limited to donation. We are only a small group after all, so there's only so much we could do. For other help and support options, we will provide a page that tells you what you can do - soonish!

Sugar Shooter 2 Demo English version is finally here! This is now version 1.10, with so many fixes and improvements. We worked hard on this and hope you enjoy it :)

The feedback for the game is much better than we thought, and we are very excited about new games we have planned to release this year : New Night Attack, Kemo Coliseum, and more!

Hope you guys are having an awesome holiday season!

Also, we have to apologize for not be able to finish the game within this month...We planned to give the game to those who pre-order as a Christmast gift. However, due to the amount of content of the game, there are many things we have to tweak as well as playtesting to make sure that nothing is wrong.

We'll keep working on Sugar Shooter 2 to make it finish as soon as possible. It's around 95% done right now. Though balancing the game and bug killing isn't an easy task >_<;

For those who pre-order with the options that include our sketches, be prepare to get yourself a Christmas card that you've wished for!

That was a really fun and intense contest. At the end of the contest, the score people submitted keep getting higher and higher. I was really amazed by some entries. And seeing each contestant grow in skill, and how their increasing in score reflected that, is really entertaining and exciting ^ ^

I'm also glad that there weren't major problem during the contest, though there are some minor problems, but things sorted out in the end :D Like I said, this is our first contest and my first time holding an event like this. So I was a bit nervous (^ ^; )

Also, many contestants told me through various channel that the game is fun and challenging, as well as how the contest make them appreciate the game more now that they know how aiming for score make it more fun and challenging. Seriously, as a game designer, I couldn't ask for a better compliment! And for that, I say thank you very much ^ ^

Thank you to everyone who participate. Without all of you, this event wouldn't be this much fun and exciting. And thank you for not cheating and keep this a clean and nice experience for every participant! Moreover, you guys share tips and technique to get highscore without hiding anything. Some even record their playthrough in the video format, knowing that other contestants can learn from it!

We'll update the demo soon. The demo will now include two stages, though you will not get to see the erotic CGs of the second stage boss ;)

Sugar Shooter 2 Demo Highscore Contest

The contest is closed. Thank you for your attention!

Now that we have released Sugar Shooter 2 demo for a week, many you of guys probably get a hang of the new system and the control by now. We know that the game this time offer many strategies to get a really high score, but we would like to know how far can it go. And here’s the chance for you to show off your skill, and win the prize!

We’d like to announce our first contest - Sugar Shooter 2 Demo Highscore Contest!

The rule is pretty simple. You guys might have notice that after you beat the stage, the game automatically take a screenshot of your final score for you. Just submit that screenshot to us, and that's it!

Since the game has 4 difficulties, the contest will be divided into 4 leagues; Sweet, Normal, Bitter and Black. The players who score the highest in each category will win the prize. That mean, there will be 4 winners!

Keep in mind that one contestant can only enter ONE difficulty. That means, you are not allowed to submit a score for Sweet and then Bitter. If you do, we will discard the one that is submitted later.

For those who are not good at the game, you can still win something! After the 4 winners from each difficulty is decided, we will draw a name from the rest of the contestants for a lucky winner! So you still might win the prize :)

As for the prize, the winner can choose one of the following choices!

Upload your screenshot, fill in your name (or whatever you want us to call you ) and your email. You can write comments too, if you want, but it isn't required. Might be fun to share some tips or what did you do to get that awesome score ;)
The uploaded screenshot will be published on Tumblr along with the name you provided. We will not publish your email, however.

Contest Duration

10th - 24th November 2011

Play the demo version 0.6.1b , finish the stage and submit the screenshot.

There are 5 prices. 4 are for each winner of each difficulty. The last one is for a lucky draw.
Each person can only submit their score on ONE DIFFICULTY. We will take the first submission as final.
If you happen to get a better score, you can submit a new one. But it must be on the same difficulty as your firsts submission.
Example

Mr.A submitted a screenshot of 1,000,000 points on NORMAL
Mr.A submitted a screenshot of 1,500,000 points on NORMAL, now Mr.A score is updated to 1,500,000 points
Mr.A submitted a screenshot of 2,000,000 points on BITTER. This will be disregarded. Mr.A is now in NORMAL difficulty league and his score for the contest is still 1,500,000 points

If we caught someone cheating, then you are disqualified for the price! I hope nobody cheat though. We would like this to be an activity that anyone can enjoy. So, please play it fair and square! :)

And that’s about it! I hope it isn’t too confusing. If you have any questions regarding the contest, feel free to ask in the comment section or on the forum.

One last thing though, I know I can't enforce this but please enter the difficulty that suit your skill! This mean skilled players shouldn't submit their score on Sweet or Normal difficulty. Or else it would discourage people who cannot survive on Bitter or Black. Furthermore, if you're good at the game, I think you'd be more satisfying seeing highscore in higher difficulty anyway :) The number of bullets on Sweet or Normal can't possibly give you as much score as you would have got in Bitter or Black!

We've updated the demo to version 0.6.1b. This update include the following bug fixes/changes

Stage and music won't start after skipping the prologue
Score and credit is not reset after finish the stage
Score and credit is not reset when choosing restart in the pause menu

The information regarding sugar power and weapon level is wrong ( 299 - 399 is level 3 )
Information regarding magic circle will not convert bullets into sweet during Soul Whisk mode is added

Finally the public demo is finished! And here's the list of what is in the current demo :

It's still missing options, ranking, gallery and practice mode. We'll keep updating the demo!

Here are some information you might like to know

The game native resolution is 800 x 500. Anything higher than that mean it will be scaled so the graphic might not look nice. Best stick with 800x500 or something similar!
The quality selection doesn't mean much. We can't remove it since it's built in Unity. Stick with good should be fine!
Sometime the Input setting doesn't work. Can't really do anything about it since it's built in Unity again :( Quit the game and start again sometime fix it though.

Happy Halloween, everyone!

While it's a bit early, we just want to announce that we are going to extend the last date of fund raising preorder from this year Halloween to the end of next month!

So the final date will be 30th of November 2011 instead :)

The reason is because of unexpected delay in the demo. We planned to release the public demo this month, but as you can see, it got delayed and is going to be released next month instead. We understand that there are people who would like to try the game first before deciding whether to help funding the game or not. Hence, we decided to extend the fund raising period, so that you will have a full month of playing the game and decide whether you would like to pre-order or not!

Once Sugar Shooter 2 demo is released, we also have a plan for some fun activities for everyone to join. Still, we are open for suggestion. Are you guys interested in fanart or fanfic? Or something else entirely? Feel free to drop by at the forum to discuss!

To those who are looking forward to Kemo Coliseum, please hang in there! With only 3 people, there is only so much we could do. We would like to focus on one game at a time and thus until Sugar Shooter 2 is done, there won't be much progress on Kemo Coliseum.

Sugar Shooter 2 - Early Demo v.0.5 beta

Sorry for having been away for so long! But we have finally finished a playable demo. Not in English yet though, since we still need to translate all the conversations >_<;

Anyway, this is not public demo yet since it's still missing ranking, gallery and options mode. Once those are finished, and we finished translating the demo, we will release the English public demo for you guys to play :)

For those who want to get the early access to this private demo, you can get it from Secret Lab section in the forum. For those who doesn't have an access to the secret lab, you can by pre-order Sugar Shooter2 today! Don't forget that to gain access to the forum you have to pre-order Bronze option or above. Base option means you get the full game before people who doesn't pre-order.

Last time I posted Portuguese version of Sugar Shooter comic already. But we have more! Thanks to our fans, they have translated the manga into two more languages!

Looking from our stats, people from various parts of the world are accessing our website. I'm sure that there are still people who are not comfortable with English or would be happy to see our content in their native language. Unfortunately, with three people in our team, I doubt that we could bring all the languages to the table.

That's where you come in! If you like our work and understand English, please feel free to translate it so that people who share the same native language would be able to enjoy our content more. There is no need to ask us for permission or anything, just go for it! If editing the manga is hard to do, we are willing to distribute the file in an easier format for you to edit the text and everything.

So whether you can speak Chinese, Korean, Greek, Italian, Arabic, Thai, etc, please help contribute if you can! I'm more than sure that people would enjoy reading the wiki in their own language and not just English ^_^

We will also make it easy for people to translate and make a translation add-on for our game in the future. Though the game menu part probably stay in English due to the graphic used in the game, but the game dialogue should be easy to make it customizable by fans :)
