The Jean Paul Gaultier line for Target hit stores yesterday, I was beyond excited and ready to explore his creations. I admire his work and was quite pleased with the outcome, even though some pieces seemed a bit too cheap looking.
So since I worked yesterday, I couldn't go to the opening. I woke up this morning at 7 am with a mission to go to Target and pick up every piece that I loved, unfortunately living in an area where fashion is very important, all the good pieces where SOLD OUT :(
I did find the first two dresses in my size and fell in love with the fit and the way the garment was cut.
The last red dress was in my size also so I took it with me to the fitting rooms, snapping away with my Nikon.
The last red dress had beautiful draping and was very elegant (if I was taller, it would of looked better.) The only bad thing about this dress was that it clings to every single curve in your body, even if your wearing seamless panties, you would still be able to see the markings.
Needless to say, I went home happy with the strapless red and white dress and the pin striped dress below it.
I can't wait show you how I style them and feature them on future blog post.

Last Day here...

Spent my first day as a sergeant, and my last day in this unit, cleaning weapons and such. Had an awesome time while I was here but I'm glad there's going to be some change in my life.

I arrived at work at 6 AM in Santa Monica, and as you can tell by the blue sky, it was a wonderful day with no rain.

I want to thank EVERYONE who thanked me on Twitter for my promotion at work Saturday. I don't have any pictures of the promotion, because I wanted Jesse to do the honors to pin my rank and I had no one to take the pictures.

I'm back in action with my fashion post, so I apologize that these past blog post have not been outfit post.

I really hope you guys had a safe and wonderful weekend.

Last night I got a tweet from non other than the lovely Judy from ItsJudyTime on youtube to hang out since she's here in LA for a few days. Sonia from Sccastaneda also had a few plans with Judy, so we all brought our men along with us and we went to a bar called Mai Tai in Long Beach, right by the aquarium. Anyway we had so much fun that last night, and it was such a great experience to meet Sonia and Judy for the first time.
We all know they are all already beautiful on camera, but they are even more beautiful in person and they are soo sweet. Sonia is hella funny and had my cracking up all night haha. I miss them already. :(
We all had so much in common and it was great that because of Youtube, it brought us together.

The night was sweet and I had a few sex on the beach drinks as we enjoyed the wonderful conversation and listened to the live band.

My face at the end look a bit icky because I had a few drinks, and well, these where the best outfit pictures I took.

Went to The Topanga Mall with Jesse to get something to eat and do a lil shopping. I got so many things with shoulder details. Jesse and I at his nieces baptism. I'm loving his haircut, this Puerto Rican guy hooked it up.

Tried out this facial mask this morning since I needed something to revamp my skin from last night. I must say, its quite invigorating.

Remember Lucas Chili powder? Well, it was found to have lead in it and it was discontinued. I LOVED that chili poweder with everything so I was very sad when I couldn't find it anymore. I use to add lemon or water and just eat it like that, straight out of its container. So when Jesse and I went to Olvera St we found Zumba!and to our surprise, it is Lucas but with a different name.

Had the best Tacos al Pastor yesterday (which happens to be my favorite Mexican dish)

I can eat a dozen, as a matter of fact, I'm going to warm up some leftovers from yesterday right now. hmmmm

After looking at MY ROVER today, I am deeply in love. Thank God for this new Job.

I don't think I can look at another car the same. I didn't get it yet though, but with due time it'll come.

Hey dolls,

It's finally time for a new car!!!

Jesse and I woke up late (11:30am, I know) because we came home late last night from a family party. So in a few hours we are going to go look at the new Range Rover (which is the one I want more than anything.)

I also love the new GS 10 Lexus, so we might go hit up both dealerships. My mind is set on the Rover, so we might spend all evening there. Right now I have a Nissan Altima 08 (which my parent got me, but I pay for, when I was in Iraq) I'm a truck kind of chick. I use to drive a 09 Tahoe which I gave back to my parents and now I'm yearning for it again. I think I'm going to take you on this "adventure" with me and bring my camera along so you can see how I negotiate with the car sales men, haha. They don't know what's coming. Thank you Dad for this trait!

Today Jesse and I went to Olvera St located in Downtown LA. We love this spot because it reminds us of Mexico so much. They sell the cutest Mexican souvenirs and candy. Also we had lunch at La Golondrina Cafe which has the best, and I mean the BEST mexican food, plus the Horchata water (rice water) is homemade and its beyond delicious (I have never tasted horchata water this good in my life). Jesse had this band come over to our table to sing me a romantic love song. How sweet is he? I love him!

The weather was great. The sun was peeking through the white clouds ever so often. The cool yet warm breeze felt just right on my legs and face and really let us enjoy the day.

As part of the Blogger Mafia, I was sent this Lipgloss about 3 months ago to review.
I've had quite a while with this gloss and love it. I also had some of my friends try it out and tell me what they feel it does to their lips, (and hips haha).

What I like about it, is that it's not sticky at all (I hate sticky glosses) and it has a sweet taste. It lasts about 3 hours before I have to re-apply but I keep it in my everyday makeup bag because it's also quite moisturizing.

It also contains a small and harmless amount of Hoodia (as the label mentions) which happens to be an appetite suppressant (and one of the most popular supplements on the market today).

For me personally, I didn't see any changes in my appetite but I did notice the soft tingle on my lips and the enlargement and velvety sheen it gave me.

I went vintage shopping today with the hubby and found some great things I can't wait to show you guys. Before that though, Jesse and I went to Portos (which was recommended by my friend Cynthia) to grab a bite to eat. (I do NOT recommend the Mango smoothie, yucky!)

I love this place so hopefully soon I get to have a lunch date with my friend Kat.

Anyway I have been V-logging for these past two day and I cant wait to post those videos up. I also have to give you a tour of my walk in closet, specially since my blog is mostly about fashion I thought it would be great so you can see where I spend most of my day thinking of ideas and ways to put new outfits together.

WOW, Wednesday tomorrow already.

Woke up this morning at the crack of dawn. I was very anxious and I couldn't go back to sleep. I went for a morning jog which made my nerves ease up. I then jumped in the shower, did my hair, drank some coffee and ran all my errands. By noon I was done with everything so I went to Best Buy to buy a new lens (which by the way is freakin' AMAZING.) So I took some shots of my monkeys; Chanel and Gizmo. I also found this pocket watch which I thought was a great add to my closet, oh and those lovely cute pens. Im a sucker for cute school supplies. A few things from Forever 21 but not shown. I will Blog later.

I feel a bit silly posting pictures of myself in uniform (yet i post a lot right? LOL) but one of my SGTs just called to tell me that I'm going to be pinned to sergeant next month!!!! Wow, this means a lot to me because I officially have a lot more responsibilities and I have been waiting for this moment since I joined in 2006.

The pictures from this post are of me back in 2006-2008 in Iraq. No new ones yet. Jesse (the hubby) agreed to take pictures of me getting pinned so stay tune for those next month (March 6 to be exact)

I'm going to a new unit,which means a fresh start. I already know I'm going to be mean and strict with all the males. LOL. anyway, thank you for all the congrats on twitter.

I'm so happy I finally made it!!!! I can't stop smiling. I'm just a bit nervous about it though haha, but it's normal. I have to start refining my skills though lol.

Hey Dolls!

Valentines Day was yesterday and I spent all day at the airport in NY.

For the lack of communication I spent 10 hours. Yes, 10 HOURS in JFK. It was a long day and a LONG flight.

Anyway

I came home to a new POMERANIAN omg, I was so happy. I have been wanting one forever so Chanel can have a play date. Jesse gave me a boy and I love him so much, he named him Gizzy (like a Grizzly Bear) He's only 9 weeks old and he and Chanel have been the best presents ever. He also made me a bouquet of flowers, Synthetic ones that is, so I can keep them forever. It means a lot to me to get hand made things which require a lot of thought. He also gave me a set of CHI hair products (because he knows me so well) and an eco friendly (Stainless steal) water bottle. I refuse to drink from plastic bottles as much as I did back then as I read that it's linked to breast cancer (for fewer words.) We went to ZARA today because I wanted to treat him to an outfit. I love that my man let's me have full reign on his wardrobe haha. For myself, I got some Aldo wedges shown above. Next weekend we are planning on going to Santa Barbara and having a romantic getaway :) I can't wait for that.

EDGY OVER THE KNEE BOOTS

I bought these babies for New York since the weather there is very cold (in the 30's) I needed warm over the knee boots that are stylish with a chunky and short heel. So I was browsing through endless.com and fell IN LOVE!!! I will post better pictures soon on a future blog. oh and I smell like leather thanks to these puppies! LOL

Tomorrow I have two midterms, so all I have been doing all day is study,study,study. I also have to go to Aldo to pick up some other shoes I got. (Why are they always sold out of my size!!!)

Anyway this past weekend I got the H1N1 shot. I had no option to choose. It didn't hurt at all, I only felt the pressure the fluid going in my arm. So will see how THIS turns out haha

Also I'm planning a "Meet and Greet" in New York this summer (August) I'm going to contact a few gurus so we can all organize it and have a blast in NYC!!!!

Never Turn Back

So I went to The American Way thrift store (Featured on MTV's Style'd) with the hubby yesterday to see what lovely treasures we find. I found this thick patterned sweater in a XL but the fact that it's oversized made me love it even more.
No we all know florals are coming back due to the close season change. So when I saw the H&M floral "old lady" blazer it made me think twice. So I went to the full length mirror and found it to be quite unique and a great treasure. I cuffed up the sleeves for a more modern look and it's lovely to see this pastel pink lining peeking through.
The white over-sized clutch was also a must since it appears to be like a bare canvas due to it's simplicity. I can do so much with it.

Anyway after out little trip to the thrift store we decided to go to the mall and walk around since it was pretty empty and quite relaxing. Jesse loves to shop at Macy's and since he's been with me, his style has been changing and he currently LOVES blazers just as much as I do. How nice! We both decided to re-vamp his style and ditch those stripped polo shirts unless they are more fitted.

Notice all the coats have power shoulders, you have to love them! A trench coat was much needed so when I saw it, I knew it was destined to be mine.

So as i mentioned on Twitter, I went to a mall in Sherman Oaks to check out Gymboree which is a kids clothing store for a research project due Wednesday with my new friend Tiya so we stopped by ZARA and got some great things! I love it when I have friends who enjoy shopping as much as I do. So funny thing, as I was browsing through the racks at ZARA, there were these to girls that I noticed giggling by me. So I looked up because I felt their eyes on me (you know that feeling). And before they said anything I already knew what it was about (youtube) ha ha so I was like "YES" haha they where so funny. One girl even said OMG You have a big closet. lol and asked if my name was really Dulce Candy. I can see why it's hard to believe but yes, it is Sweet Candy.

Before that though, Jesse and I went to Target just to walk around pick up a few home decorations but nothing fancy since we are still on a hunt for house. I want to move overseas so bad at least for a year since I didn't get to go this past winter as it was planned (Study abroad in Paris for 3 months). So, this summer there is another Study Abroad program for 3 months in Paris and I am really thinking of attending. We then went to the Burbank Mall since I was grumpy and hungry to go eat Stir Fry, that stuff is AMAZING!!

To all of my sister Wendy's fans. She is turning 15 in two weeks and my parents are getting her laptop and a camera so she can blog and make videos for yall too. How exciting, she can't wait and she wanted me to relate this message to yall too.
