I just got an Itouch for mother's day and I've been in an app hunting since then. I've found some great apps for my toddler and I'm always looking for more. I like how we can still be learning (letters, numbers, animals, etc...) even when we are just waiting to see the doctor or waiting in line for something.
I found a list of some great apps for tots and older kids over at 1+1+1=1
I have some of these apps already and I love them. I always try to add the free ones that interest me first and go from there.

Please share with us which are your favorite apps for your little ones or if there is any you don't like at all for some reason.

It's been a while since I've posted on the blog site, I've been posting some deals I found around directly in our Dulcecupie Facebook Page due to time. Having a toddler, getting projects done around the house, making cakes, crafts and on top of that being in beautiful Sicily has been keeping me very occupied :)

Not complaining! I love my life! Life in Sicily is so very different and takes time to adjust but I really love it here (minus the gnats! haha those little bastards!). Which speaking of, a friend just mentioned how to keep those tiny bugs off your radar. Directions in the bottom of this post.
It's so beautiful here, food is soooo good, I have great friends and a beautiful family ♥

Sushi Night!

Today, me and J got to take a sushi class. We were pretty excited cause we both love sushi with passion! We could live off sushi and be completely fine with it. This is the thing, sushi in Italy is extremely expensive!!!! We used to have sushi about twice a week (that was our weakness I know!! ☺) but the highest our bill ever was I would say... $24? including tip, drink (water ;) ) and our absolutely delicious sushi. Italy is a different story when it comes to sushi. Our bill here for about the same things come up to around $75. Yep, $75, not a typo haha.
So, after taking this exciting/fun class for only $5 we learned how to make our own sushi!!! I knew people make it at home and have heard it was easy but something about it always intimidated me for some reason. No more though! We are so glad we took this class and now can make any type of sushi we feel like eating + imagine all the savings!!!

These are the results... Now, keep in mind this was our very first time making them! don't be too hard on us!! haha

Vacation + Lots of family time + Me time = ♥

While my husband has been on vacation (wooohooo!) We've been busy, doing lots of things, getting things done, going places, spending looots of family time and some me time added there. LOVE it!!!
We are still on vacation time but that soon will be thing of the past :( So I'll be back here with you all bringing you all the goodies!
I hope this year has been treating you good so far. It's been great in this household. We have tried new places to eat. My favorite one was Borgo Antico. A very cozy, beautiful Agriturismo with absolutely AMAAAZING food!

an agriturismo is a family owned place were the menu is already set.
You go and they serve all the food (you do not order from a menu)

and because I'm in love with all the ceramics here in beautiful Sicily (I'm trying to build my plates collection) We decided to visit beautiful city of Caltagirone "Citta' Della Ceramica" "The city of ceramics". Ceramics everywhere, on the street, on the street's walls, on steps, everywhere.

So yes we've been busy but we have also enjoy some of the relax, lay back, simple life Sicilian days.
Enjoying the fresh and delicious fruits and vegetables from the markets. Now I've been stalking the markets for some antiques or items I can remodel my self and make them my own.
