Heats will be held on Monday 1st March, Monday 8th March and Thursday 11th March.  The finals will be held on Thursday 18th March.  Remember to hand in your entry forms.  All trophies need to be returned as soon as possible.  Please make sure these are engraved and cleaned before handing them back.  As usual we’d welcome volunteer timekeepers for all three heats and the finals.

Raffle Prizes

We would greatly appreciate any donations for raffle prizes for the club championships.  These should be handed in by Monday 15th March.

Half-Term Holidays

There will be no swimming club during half-term from Saturday 13th to Monday 22nd February inclusive.

Christmas Party

Thanks to all those who provided and helped with all the food for the Christmas Party.  Much appreciated and enjoyed by all.

Committee Departure

Trisha Smith has decided to resign from the committee.  Thanks to Trisha for all the hard work she has done over the past years for DASC.

Sponsored Swim

This year’s sponsored swims will be held on Monday 31st May and Thursday 3rd June.  Forms and letters will be sent out after the Easter Holidays.

Subscriptions

Thanks to all for prompt payment of subscriptions.  Nearly everyone has paid at the time of writing.  As you know, this is essential to maintain our insurance for all swimmers, without which the club couldn’t run.

Poolside Help

Could all parents please try to make sure they carry out their rota duties both at the poolside and at the signing in desk.  The club depends on you help!  We’d also welcome any help setting up lane ropes at the start of sessions to make sure all the session one swimmers get in the water at 6pm.

Help Required!

A sit down buffet with Santa in attendance will follow each session and as usual, we need volunteers to bring along some food.

A list of food required is now at the reception desk. Please sign up as soon as you can.

The party will end at around 7:30pm for the first session swimmers and around 8:45pm for the session two and three swimmers.
