Guard passing is an incredible path that leads to GOLD !! Nothing pretty about it, but guaranteed to break your opponents and put points on the scoreboard. However, gotta put your work in and get great at passing… bc good is not good enough… no room for error. in the above pic… my face when I’m on the case of passing the greatest guards…

Be sure to strengthen your passing with heat on the feet, Judo and wrestling. Do your homework and you’ll notice that the greatest Champions have serious firepower on the feet. back to basics… get serious with grip fighting, and get you a solid ippon seio nage…

This short write-up comes full circle with me emphasizing that you need to develop a Jiu-Jitsu that is complete from all angles. With that being said, gotta have missiles from the bottom too. Whether you wanna be there or not, you’ll end up there, so better be ready… via triangle arm-lock and omoplata !! remember, Jiu-Jitsu is a complete package…

I’m all about gettin’ after it on the mats and in life… bc I know about the key to success… HARD WORK !! For many, the Pan American championship of Jiu-Jitsu is already here. For me, I’m focused to win gold -once again- at the Brasileiro de Jiu-Jitsu (Brazilian Championship) in Rio de Janeiro, at the beginning of May. Noon training at academia Cicero Costha in Ipiranga - São Paulo, Brazil… a daily operation that includes 15 high-level Black Belts, also many browns, purples, and blues. Guaranteed, not a slouch in the room !

I’ve been training like a madman in São Paulo for the past two weeks, all sessions at this academy. Training with the best… is the only way for me !! So many great Champions in the room, and all working hard to win. To name a few, Cicero Costha, Leandro Lo, Augusto Ferrari, the Miyao brothers and more.
